What Warped Tour would look like in 2024

if Warp Tour went down to Summer who would be on it I created a list of bands and artists and I'm going to back up these decisions using science if I name a band I have a reason why they'd be on the 2024 vizzy's fictional Warp Tour so I'll be sure to explain my reasoning let's see if you agree with me or if you think my fictional lineup will flop and make no fictional money so warp tours always had a ton of stages for the sake of this video we're only going to do four and 10 bands per stage we're going to have the main stage which is going to have the biggest axe the journey stage and this will be bands that are killing it in the scene right now then we have the Monster Energy stage which I'm going to leave as a surprise I know half of you guys are going to get pissed at what I'm going to say when it comes to that stage but you got to hear me out and lastly the Ernie Ball stage just like warp Tor these are going to be smaller BS that just need that push because they have a crazy amount of potential we're going to start with the smallest stage and work our way up to the main stage and keep in mind I also want to see it in Kevin lyman's perspective as well which bands make sense to be on this tour starting off with the Ernie Ball stage these are all artists that have under 100K listeners on Spotify and I think this is a nice diverse amount of genres so we're going to start off with tala right hitting that new metal corner of the underground scene I'm going to add wrist Meats razor they're scratching the metal core itch I would add sanity slip I don't know if they'd actually want to play Warp Tour but hey I I think it'd be super fun to see them I would add super American giving us Feelgood emop pop jams keep flying also pop punk but they have Scot influence and these guys have a ton of background connects they've been in the game since 2008 uh I think they're the true definition of like never giving up I would throw in home safe I would throw in arms length really cool emo pop punk gems Kaio Nashi also repping the heavier sides of music with their experimental Genet and hardcore kind of sound these guys are super fun super different and there's no doubt on my mind that they'd absolutely kill it if they just keep it going Ben quad would be hitting that emo Corner they have a ton of different emo jams from sounding Midwest to pop punk and even matthy just very experimental emo very fun and last but not least coyo is a very good band and they have a lot of eyes on them right now they're another band that would absolutely kill it in the scene they're like pop punk and hardcore adjacent they have damn near no misses at all and their entire discography like I think they'd be playing huge shows huge tours if they just get that tiny little push that's the Ernie Ball stage now I want to talk about the Monster Energy stage and listen dude you guys are going to get tight some of you will get tight but you got to hear me out Kevin Lyman had these lineups progress throughout the years and just keeping up with like the wave right in the '90s he started off with like SCA and punk and then went into skate Punk then emo and metalore and Pop Punk and you get it he progresses the music and I think if warp Tor was around today they' definitely sprinkle in some artists that lean more towards like the alternative rap like the SoundCloud rap but in this fictional tour I'm going put them all in one stage the Monster Energy stage would have suicide boys ghost man 100 gex scarlord NASCAR aloe zillakami Cemetery germ and jpeg Mafia obviously 100 geks aren't rappers but I feel like it'd be more fitting to put them on this stage rather than sharing stage with like I don't know like sleep token or something and honestly I don't really think these artists are too far from bands anyway like a lot of them have breakdowns and screams and their songs some of these guys even have like Circle pit fast-paced verses like I think it'd be really cool to see these kinds of guys on Warp Tour but I think If This Were Real a lot of people would get pissed off like it happens every single Warp Tour year like people get tight at the lineups no matter who the [ __ ] is on it there's not enough of this drawn or or why isn't this guy on here it doesn't make sense to have this ban like every year it was a hot mess with the lineup so pissing people off is inevitable I just don't think he would rip the Band-Aid off like what I'm doing here like he'd sprinkle in a little bit here this year a little bit there that year and eventually it would be like a normal thing to have these types of artists on the festival now we have two more stages we have the journey stage and the main stage the journey stage was probably the hardest one to come up with because again this is bands that are killing it in in the scene right now and choosing only 10 is like insane to me there's so [ __ ] many that I want to put on here but it came down to these bands here the home team and Magnolia Park they're destroying it in the pop punk scene right now hot Mulligan they'd be representing like the Tik Tock emop pop and another band that could probably replace them would be mom jeans I just think uh hot Mulligan is doing a little bit better but either one works Belmont really making music that's different and a breath of fresh air like they've been on the grind for a while and I never knew how good Progressive pop punk can sound until I discovered them back in like 2016 obviously Bill Murray they're another band that's killing it right now and they have a very loyal audience Johnny Frank has a ton of Industry connections from his time in attack attack and overall I think it just makes a lot of sense for Bill Murray to be on Warp Tour I'm just not sure if they'd agree to be playing Warp Tour I could be wrong but I think I remember Johnny saying he doesn't like touring all that much but they are going on tour with sleep token so I don't know maybe I'm wrong maybe he does enjoy touring now who knows see you space cowboy definitely Making Waves in a scene right now Connie being an amazing front woman uh she's appearing on loads of shows loads of podcast really really strong star power from this band they just dropped an album I'm sure they would love to push and it's a really really solid record I recommend listening to it if you're into like heavier styles of music no pressure would be on here which which is Parker Canon from The Story So Far Side project they're [ __ ] absolutely destroying it like every time I see a live set on YouTube the crowd is going insane they never fail to pack up a venue I think drain would kill it they're super fun hardcore band from California I like this band a lot because it's a nice combination of Hardcore elements people grew to love with like the fun Surfer styled riff sometimes and you can hear the amount of fun they're having like in the music and it's just nice and kind of different there's two slots on here I'm not filling up myself because I don't really keep my eye too much on the heavier sides of the alternative scene and out of the 10 six of these bands so far are pop punk and I want to give like the heavier genres some representation so I hit up my boy Yan he has a really cool YouTube channel I'll link in the description but he gave me this list of bands and I'm going to take his word for it so this is when you fill it up right you take two of these bands make it your own dream lineup let me know what the [ __ ] you decided to add I would probably add Amor and Chelsea Grin just because I know they've both played Warp Tour already so they're just safe picks now we're on the main stage who are the Big 10 that's going to headline this Festival who are the 10 bands that's going to draw all the [ __ ] people in the show I'm going start it off with sleep token Laura Shore knock loose and pfia they're all super [ __ ] massive right now I think it's pretty obvious why these bands would be main stage um fifia haven't really released anything in a while but but I decided to add them because I remember seeing somewhere that new Tunes are in the works so if it's true and they have new music coming in the very near future it would make sense for them to be on Warp Tour they want to push out the record they're massive I think motionless and white and bad Omens would be good Headliners as well because same thing they're killing it in the scene and they have this really cultivated audience and hit a specific corner of the alternative music scene that corner being like the ti talk metal core kids I toss A Day to Remember on here for two big reasons number one is I know Kevin likes to appeal to the older heads of the music scene for example two other bands that come to mind in the day to remember Warp Tour era which would be like between 2008 in 2013 two other bands would be like Pierce theil and Sleeping With Sirens I was actually super close to saying Pierce theil would take this slot but I think A Day to Remember would probably overthrown it just because they do have new music coming out so it would make more sense for them to take the slot I know Pierce theil dropped like a single somewhat recently but I don't know if that's like an addition to their previous album or they're already releasing a new album which doesn't make too much sense on account of like their Nirvana being like barely a year old with that being said the last three slots is going to be basically the same reasoning right like I would add Neck Deep they would represent the sad Boy pop punk era of Warp Tour which is between like 2013 and 2016 or 17 I think they would be better fitting than the other ones like knuckle Puck real friends state champs uh just because they just released new music and they're just a much bigger ban I think the story so far would be a good replacement but because we have no pressure already I don't know if it would make sense to have both bands on the same Festival I know it's been done like bamboozle I think 2011 had all of Christopher Jews Like side projects all [ __ ] 40 of them but for Warp Tour I feel like it's a little different so we could give more people more opportunities some 41 just released new music and I would add them just so they could rep the years between 2000 and 2005 and the last band I would say like real big fish or Less Than Jake repping the '90s these are the go-to bands for Kevin Lyman to represent the 9s so it just makes sense they've been on so many warp tours so I would imagine they'd be on this one too I even made this fake Warp Tour flyer I'm going put it up on Twitter and see if anyone says anything I think it'd be pretty fun follow me on
