Trump Won’t Debate Kamala Harris Again. Is This A Mistake? $ American Business News

To those they vanquished they move ahead now is he making a mistake Gary Christian I are about to get into all of that we're also going to discuss the Brewing drama over an election security Integrity measure that's in the upcoming funding legislation but which some Insiders on the hill say will disappear just as soon it P as it passes the house and we're going to talk about why democracy is a right we're going to get into our stories because we got a lot to discuss today uh Trump announced his decision uh to forego another debate with Cala Harris and his reasoning like we said is that Winners don't fight the losers that they just beat he posted on his truth Social account when a prize fighter loses a fight I think we got that showing up guys um the first words out of his mouth are we want to rematch uh post clearly show that I won the debate against comrade kamla Harris the Democrats radical left candidate on Tuesday night and she immediately called for a second debate now as you guys uh if you were watching and on on Wednesday I wasn't as confident As Trump that he won during Wednesday's analysis I lamented what I saw As Trump not doing as well as he should have and could have and Kamala being um a very sneaky yet effective Dodger and liar uh apparently word has is that she has received acting lessons from some of the best I wouldn't be surprised if that's happened either way she's an actor actress uh nevertheless I maintain this that all he had to do was right after Camala dodged her first first question as to whether Americans are better off today than they were four years ago that was a setup that was really easy he could have said hey she didn't answer the question uh but I will Americans are paying at least $111,000 more for groceries every year uh they're paying 50% more every time they go they pull into the gas station our communities are being taken over by Venezuelan gangsters and Haitians who crash in the buildings and everything else meanwhile the FBI has turned into aasi but with more advanced uh gas and our dangerous and maniacal leaders are on the verge of triggering a nuclear World War so the answer is no we are not better off than today and she was part of that and he he kind of did it and we all remember that and I'm sure a lot of us were very frustrated when he missed that because the point is this would have resonated with everyone everyone's buying groceries everyone is now kind of concerned about what's going on all over the world and lots of communities um are affected by all these uh uh migrants or Invaders as some call them who they brought in so so when when you when you put the truth out there it resonates and whether or not you have the the B the moderators whether it's three on one whether it's 5 on1 whether it's one onone the truth should win out now according to some of the most recent polls for whatever little they're worth I'm right to be disappointed apparently a CNN flash Bowl conducted conducted by SSRS found that 63% of registered voters said Harris won yugov found that 54 four said uh 54% said that uh Harris won SoCal strategies National poll in the case that 53% said they won and now apparently again for whatever little worth these polls are for what however uh insignificant or significant they may be uh a apparently Cala Harris has a five-point advantage over Donald Trump in the first major Nationwide poll taking over the presidential debate since the presidential debate and that's Accord according to a Roy Reuters ipsos survey but but there are some out there who are saying that Trump did actually there's quite a few and I see they seem to be becoming even more who are saying that Trump did way better than I give him credit for or those who say he didn't do as well give him credit for including CNN yep CNN here is David shelian announcing that Trump actually won on the issue that is most important cut two you guys who would you who would better handle the economy is what we ask going into the debate before the debate 37% said Harris 53% Trump after the debate again margin of error stuff here but numerically she lost a little ground 35% said so after the debate that she would better handle the economy 55% said Trump and we know that is one of his strongest suits across the polling in this election and he seemed to hang on to that piece in this debate tonight according to our poll of debate Watchers now very interesting she apparently she she lost ground on that issue after the debate now others like Hugh huitt who you saw slight slash uh flash over there he had the same initial reaction as me uh and now he's making the point that the that the debates you have a better understanding who the Victor is apparently kind of like in in in a battle or what not you have to wait till the dust settles he has changed his mind uh now that he's had time to think about it here he is on Fox News explaining why and what happened the oldest cliche in news is also true first reports are usually wrong and the first reports last night are that you know Trump lost Paris one over the course of the day I have been seeing three things emerge Trump was okay not his best but he did get in some hay makers his closing statement was best and anytime you're focusing on migration you're winning KLA Harris by contrast was at her best and it wasn't very good and then third and I think this matters a lot it was the worst presidential debate in modern history I do not believe even an independent or even a moderately Fair Democrat will conclude other than that was an ambush and as that settles in as people study what Alex just referred to the vice president did not answer one question nor did ABC which is owned by Disney asked one question about China not one question I was thinking of their theme parks their merchandizing I thinking about the NBI I'm talking about China not one question about Iran they did not bring up our hostage who was executed along with five others in Israel on the 107 I am so amazed at the unprofessionalism and the the deeply disrespectful of America as Katie mentioned performance by ABC I think by the weekend Trump may have won this it's a it's a it's a moving River of opinion that gathers force and at this point yeah I wanted more I wanted fection but that was the best of vice president ever going to be move he gains Nothing by having another debate um I I I you mentioned some of the pollings I think I saw a poll this morning I was saying that he was actually doing better in Michigan after the debate so I I the tide certainly is turning and um I think we need to stop pretending that ABC News is a reputable news organization because it hasn't been that for decades if it ever was that but it certainly isn't now so let's stop pretending that ABC is even uh reputable in any sense of the imagination yes and like he said it was it was an ambush but I I still maintain this point and it's we it's a rigged game everyone knows it's a rigged games conservatives americanist constitutionalists where it seems like we keep complaining about it as if this is a new thing is it's like no it's a rigged game we knew that it would be rigged going in it's always the case whatever but I maintain this and that is that the truth and reality is so powerfully on the side of trump when you make these arguments that you can beat them all it doesn't matter she's got earrings apparently you know she may have audio someone's speaking into her ear whatever we haven't looked into that nor have we cared to or confirmed that it doesn't matter because like I said you can't you can't look around and say that you are better off for years ago he could bring up anything any of those topics I think that she they brought up and if you just speak you address those issues and you speak the truth in that it'll resonate and people say oh yes that's true like truth is on his side the judg is in the game are on his side he just needs to say it and we need to stop whining about a rig game cuz we need to win and then we need to level out the playing field what are your thoughts Gary who is this a smart move or bad move by uh by Donald Trump's team I think it's a smart move but one question is that that is not being asked is should he have participated in a debate in the first place where the playing field was not level starting with the fact that there was no audience because audiences seem to really U energize Donald Trump yeah and uh is has already been pointed out uh uh it was really a debate of three against one but all that said I thought Donald Trump could have been better I didn't think he had a great day but uh as was already noted um kamla Harris did have a great day and uh it still was not sufficient yeah Christian you and I were talking about I thought you made a very interesting point as how as far as how the media landscape in the Avenues have changed we're no longer in the days of say you mentioned JFK and Nixon right uh that was a time where that may be one of the few times that you get to hear from them and so your point I'm actually so your point is basically that debates are not as valuable as uh today as they were say during that time absolutely I think that debates today are just theater they're at best uh talking sound bites mean mean back in 1960 when when Richard Nixon Vice President Nixon at the time and Senator jonath Kennedy debated that was probably one of the few opportunities people had outside of attending an event where they would be speaking to actually see John F Kennedy and Richard Nixon speak and hear them out on the issues I know there were radio debates before that but that was one of the few opportunities to actually see that but now we live in an era where Trump and Cala are both having rallies almost every week and you can watch those anywhere on YouTube on rumble on um on on cable news so really what do the debates offer you and if the candidates don't even have notes they can't even articulate their positions don't expect them to to know all their positions for every policy issue on the SP so I view the debates really as a waste of time and as an opportunity for like ABC or CNN or whoever to brag about oh you know look we're hosting this debate look at our logo everywhere they're they're really meaningless at this point honestly yeah I'm not sure I I don't know maybe it's that competitive spirit that I have but I wouldn't like to have walked around from that and think that everyone won especially when I like I had mentioned the issues I'm you know you got you're on the right side on the issue and this is this should be probably the easiest time for an incumbent to win I guess she's she's not the you know or the Challenger to win I'm the Challenger this should be the easiest uh the easiest time but I also don't like the fact and and maybe this is me getting super paranoid is that this allows him not coming back I think allows for it uh for the Deep state to have some sort of cover story you know ahead of the election saying it's like look he demolished him in in the debates and so badly that he didn't even want to come back to it and then when they pull the steel off or whatever then they could they could point to that as one of the main uh illustrations of why she did win she won because she convinced everyone in that debate and then he chickened out of another one that's kind of one of the things I'm I'm afraid of well I'm sure that's how it's going to be portrayed but there's the portrayal and there's also the reality and one of the but it's the game the game got to be played but one of the realities is the extent to what she has lied and continues lying that she is a champion of the middle class yeah uh that she is for slashing taxes uh she is uh you know she said that nobody wants to take your your guns away and so forth yeah and she's Christian she's on record that's the thing it's like she's on record I guess that plays into your argument because I mean you could go on X for instance and there's a b Jillian links now with her saying uh no one wants to take your guns away and then showing L uh links where she's talking about we need BuyBacks or talking about every single thing that she lied about it's all available on social media so do you think her statement Paul about never wanting to take anyone's guns guns away you think that statement will backfire I do think that there are people out there who won't believe it because we do live in these you know as as as right as you are about the fact that everything is available I think there's the the other side the other side is that we live in Eco Chambers even though we all have access to all this information we are in Eco Chambers and so my argument that's another one of my arguments is he should debat her because there's going to be a lot of people who maybe aren't you know the algorithm or whatever settings they have they're not going to see those clips maybe they don't have friends who will send them and maybe Christian this may be just the only opportunity he had of correcting and calling her out on her l that's a fair point some of there could be some very weak Cala voters out there who are reluctantly supporting her but if they hear Trump give them a dose of reality maybe they'll at the very least Maybe not maybe not even vote on Election Day that's a less and that's one less a Camala voter that comes out that that is a fair point you bring up and debates are I mean part of the a main a main component of the baates is persuasion is that I mean I was I wasn't on a debate team or whatever but I do like to argue quite a bit and so I I think we can all agree that persuasion is part of it and so I think he needs to get back up there and he needs to persuade those first who think he didn't win and secondly he needs to be more clear about the damage that they have I know he hit her he hit her hard he had some hay makers and uh there was a lot of stuff there was also a lot of uh there's a lot of cool uh Parts where or at least a few where that aren't getting the information that aren't getting the uh the uh the exposure I want to play this cool clip uh it's clip four I think that this was one of his most boss moments and I want to get you get you guys take on it he said why do you send me a picture of my house I said you're going to have to figure that out Abdul and for 18 months we had nobody killed give you my favorite TR e e our president Trump rolls isn't that awesome it's awesome you know and I I didn't I I saw that I've heard the story before I was at CPAC and I've heard some semblance of this story but I've never heard it told like that and um but that's one thing that I think a lot of folks understand and it also highlights the other side of the coin which is how weak these people are whoever it is whoever's conducting things let's let's not miss let's not let's not quibble with you know any pret pretense that binds the one doing anything but nevertheless I think there is uh you know that kind of weak leadership whether he's a figurehead or not does translate and it does make us look weak and it does make us look like maybe disorganized or at least not powerful and that's a there's a lot to be said for that because again the world is on fire now and Trump did he he drill that point home he drill that point over and over we're on the verge of nuclear war and but I'm not sure he said it's I guess he did didn't he Christian did he say he's like if I were in charge none of this would have been happening he did say that yeah he did yeah so it's like I I I don't know maybe he didn't lose maybe I'm coming around like Hugh hu and well a lot of it has to do with expectation uh if your expectation is up here and Trump K him at this level it seems like he did bad right but what if your expectation were was down here yeah well I mean I guess I expected Trump everyone expected Trump to demolish her because for four years at least ever since I think reality is demolishing Camala Harris it doesn't matter in my opinion if Camala Harris has a debate with Trump and she wins on stylistic points in articulation and debate performance standards at the end of the day truth is truth prices are what they are the condition of the world is what it is and it honestly it doesn't matter what she says or how she says what she says people will see when they go to the supermarket what their groceries are costing people will see when they read the newspaper or or watch the news the chaos in the world and this did not exist when Trump was in office and that's just the fact yeah but again we still have people I think was it two or three weeks ago uh I don't know if you were on the show Gary we were playing Clips uh I think it's like Charlie Kirk's people they sent someone to a Camala Harris rally and he said hey you know he talked to a bunch of them and I'm sure some of them didn't answer like that but you then they only featured those but there was a bunch of people and when he asked them why are you voting why are you for Camala Harris uh what no they said what you saw this right like what what policies What policies do you like what did what did they say Christian well I've seen videos like it I'm sure I'm not sure if I saw the exact one but in the ones I've seen they say oh she brings Joy so I'm not sure if they said that Joy good VI like that but none of them at least the ones that were shown and again I know that it could have been that there was others and they're like well I like this or whatever but I don't but I'm not sure if that's the case because no one knows her policies right now she has she doesn't know her policies she says for instance she has a plan to bring down grocery prices or at least to keep G grocery prices from going farther up but what does that mean it's price controls it's price controls but that is not explain and uh does the uh average person uh know what that means regarding well first of all do they know that her plan is price controls and have they thought about the consequences and are they familiar with history where every time price controls have been applied the results have been absolutely uh disastrous well Gary that's something else that's another reason that Trump needs to debate because he needs to bring that up and he needs to put out there because you're right I don't think most people know that's why the John bur Society was created in the first place in 1959 because the founder realized that a lot of people a lot of Americans we were getting away from understanding the principles and values that created the most prosperous free a society right guys absolutely well I I I agree but I was just thinking there's other ways of getting out that message yes it doesn't have to be necessarily in the form of aate well I think he was like again on with Elon Musk last night he was having another conversation we know he's doing lots of interviews and whatnot so it all it all remains to be seen But I maintain he should just engage and he should go in there and destroy her and I I think if he were to do any prepping but he doesn't seem like the kind of person to like prepping cramming studying or anything like that and apparently she surprised us all when she did because clearly that is not the same commala we've seen well I think she had a number of lines memorized and she may have had the questions in advance yeah it was clearly I mean it was clearly an acting job there because she didn't she dodged everything and she went exactly to where she was going to go anyway she knew what was going and now there's there's a lot uh there's a lot of reports uh I we haven't necessarily confirmed any of them but uh I wouldn't be surprised that there was at least some semblance of the questions that she would that were going to be asked that that presented to her she's also personal friends with the president of ABC News I believe Dana White um so I mean there's already the president of the ABC's name Dana White like the president of UFC I'm sorry um thank you yeah making a having a brain farty sorry the president of ABC News I mean whoever yeah whatever Name Escapes to me apologize that person is really close friends with uh Camala Harris uh and I mean just look at the Optics of the debate like kamala's had she had a smaller Podium so she wouldn't look small next to Donald Trump um I mean all every little thing was done at that debate to make her look as best as she could look so another debate if it's done on ABC News we know already what to expect if ABC was to host it right all like what they are arguing about is the save act uh and it appears that they have attached the save act to the next funding bill and um and the reason for that is because they want to apparently prevent illegals from um from voting now Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie he he app apparently assumed this is a good thing he calls it a shiny object although he calls a whole thing theater let's listen to what he has to say we're going to come back and we're going to talk about something that no one seems to be really discussing as far as the save act but wait there's a bright shiny object on this CR I've never seen one of these I have never seen a bright shiny object attached to one of these must pass bills oh wait no it actually happens there always is a bright shiny object a bobble if you will little something to to get excited about this save act it's going to save us all right uh and and by the way this is good political theater I do like this part of it that we're going to see almost every Democrat cast a vote so that illegals can vote in our elections I mean that's pretty clever on the part of our speaker to set that up Make You all take that vote but here's what he's going to do after you take that vote he's going to take it off the bright shiny object goes away it's Lucy in the football again and the American public is all revved up yeah we're going to get to save that we're going to save these elections we're going to stop the illegals from voting really how are you going to do that in like six weeks I think they're all already registered if they're going to vote some of them probably already voted this save act ain't going to save anything and particularly because it ain't ever going to become law it's it's a false promise to get all the Republicans half pregnant and then you're going to get fully pregnant by the end of September when you vote for this CR with that is not going to have this I I mean I hate to break this to you I mean the Democrats already know this I'm not telling you anything special I hate to break it to the Republicans you ain't getting the save act it is not going to stay on this bill why because we're going to Cave we're going to cave is it a fight worth having absolutely it's it's a fight worth having make those Democrats say they want illegals to vote make them take that vote as many times as you can and then make them go to The Ballot Box in November but that's what it is it's political theater folks we all know where it ends up we've seen it I've been here 12 years I've seen it 12 times now apparently what Massie is saying is corroborated by two GOP US Senate um offices who support the save act and they told the breit and I guess in an exclusive that this is indeed What speaker Johnson is planning on doing which is having this I guess with the intention of getting it past which even that apparently is up uh up for grabs that's not even a certain and then he's going to take it off now Joe we're going to dive into something before we get into uh you know this whole CR and whatnot we apparently have a position where we don't even like the save act and uh I like to hear more about it I know it's weird some people are listening it's like Paul don't you know about this well I just don't have time to know all the intricacies that's why we have experts like you but I mean I've heard a lot of good folks including Massie now correct me if I'm wrong Joe but it seems like Massie assumes this is a good measure if we were able to get it past there's other pundits who I consider pretty redpilled who talk about it that way and there you know there mtgs on board and other and uh you know who I think we in a way or not we have pretty a lot of respect for her what is wrong with a save act Joe well there is a lot wrong with the save act uh I think one of the biggest problems is it is the most egregious Federal consolidation of power since the Patriot Act it grants to the federal government to the Department of Homeland Security almost Monopoly control over elections which is not something we want which is not something constitutional but which is done through this save act now the save Act is only 26 pages so anybody can read this it's not like one of these one of these bills that's 1100 Pages it's 26 Pages read the bloody thing and you'll find out that it's a back door to the real ID any lady who gets married and changes her name she's going to end up having to get a real ID because the docu because the save act's going to require her to produce documents that formerly she wouldn't have had to produce just showing her marriage license would or marriage certificate would have been sufficient not anymore if you move I just moved from the city of Memphis to the town of Oakland Tennessee I'm already registered to vote but if the save act were around when I moved I wouldn't be registered to vote because I would have had to produce all these documents that I shouldn't have to produces a citizen and the big thing is the save act violates section one of the 14th Amendment now anybody who knows me knows that I've written probably a dozen articles for The New American proving Beyond any reasonable doubt that the 14th amendment was illegally uh ratified but putting that to one side and let's stipulate that the 14th Amendment is actually part of the Constitution when in doubt pull it out article one section excuse me section one of amendment 14 says all persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the United States the save act says you just got to be born here now you think about that Paul Gary and Christian you think about that we've got tens of thousands of Communists of terrorists of any sort of malignant person coming across these borders illegally and any child of those people will now if the save act were passed would be allowed to vote now we do not have anchor B anchor babies are not did you just see what I just read in the 14th Amendment you not only have to be born or naturalized but you also have to be subject to the jurisdiction of the United States if the French ambassador's wife has a baby in DC is that baby American no of course not no one would argue that it is everyone would know that that baby John McCain is John McCain Panamanian no John McCain's American nobody argues this kind of stuff right right nobody argued except this save act makes it violates the 14th Amendment it violates section one of the 14th Amendment and the children of every one of those thousands of criminals and terrorists and Communists and marxists who are coming illegally across that border every one of their children will now be considered citizens of the United States despite what the 14th Amendment says despite the fact let me read this to you let me read this Senator Jacob Howard at the time he proposed the 14th Amendment said the following it's Grant of it meaning the 14th Amendment Grant of citizenship would not include persons born in the United States who are foreign to foreigners or aliens wh but yes it will the save act takes the section one of the 14th Amendment and throws it out the save act forces realiz ID onto the states yeah the save act takes the power given to the the power retained not given because the States created the Federal Government the save act takes the power retained by the states over election and gives it not only to co not to Congress because the Constitution does say congress can occasionally make uh changes to that it grants power over elections to the Department of Homeland Security security I would have to have I would have to jump through hoops just because I moved 12 miles down the road into the country I'd have to jump through hoops if someone's if some young lady gets married and changes her last name as we do in Western Society then she will have to jump through hoops this save act destroys all that it is a back door to real ID is absolute it is a violation of the 14th Amendment yeah and ain't no one's saying a word they're saying oh keeps illegals from voting yeah well it also declares the children of all those people to be able to vote well guess what if you're willing to wait I suppose 18 years for all those people to be indoctrinated by their parents because isn't that what the left says the left says that parents indoctrinate their children so all these children of all these thousands of illegals that have been invading for years now are going to be able to vote without anything other than that birth certificate despite despite the blackletter clear language of the 14th Amendment and despite the obvious statements by the founders contrary to this concept Joe I'd like to interject here that first of all I agree completely with what you said about the 14th Amendment I think you gave a correct interpretation of that Amendment but yet at the same time liberal judges are able to look at that same amendment that you just quoted from and they're able to interpret it 180 degrees different from the way you interpret it specifically they find in the words that you read that were very clear uh they find the concept of anchor babies right they just ignore three letters and subject to the jurisdiction thereof and you can go back to all the language in the Constitutional Convention and the ratification conventions and you can read the words of the founders wherein they declare that babies are subject to the same jurisdiction of their fathers you can read it we had a show on here we talked about it to where we talked about the words written by emeric devad quoted by Franklin and Jefferson and Adams and Madison who said that the status of a child regardless of the location of birth is the status of that child's parent if you are born to a parent with foreign Allegiance then you as a child you inherit that foreign Allegiance period Joe is there any um is there any sort of amendments that could be added to this or are we talking about is is having Congress pass a federal voting uh Federal voting legislation is that contrary to the idea that fact that the the states are supposed to be handling uh elections in the first place or is there anything that could be passed through Congress that would be acceptable uh or not is is it possible yes is it possible that I might walk out of my door and trip over a trunk full of gold bars sure that's possible neither one of those things is going to happen because and I let can I just read you a little something from Thomas Jefferson let's he right what would Thomas you know wwt you know what would Thomas Jefferson do he says our government is now taking now this is 1814 y'all 1814 our government is now taking so steady a course as to show what road it will pass to its destruction to wit consolidation first and then corruption I would push the podium over and walk away right then if I was TJ TJ okay so I guess the question do you trust Cong do you trust if unless Elon Musk can come up with some some uh machine that can clone Thomas Massie I wouldn't trust Congress as far as I could throw any well Massie apparently seems to favor this this is I I think this no I think I don't think he does I think what he's saying he favors making it where legals can't vote the save act doesn't do that because what let me read read this nobody reads the dang thing the thing says in it it simply it says let's suppose someone comes in and the local person there at the voting place doesn't h i wonder this person doesn't have the necessary documents because it lists the necessary documents then it says this is section two subsection a subsection one look it up of the save act it simply requires someone to sign an oath swearing that he is a citizen and then the local official can determine whether the person has sufficiently established the proof of citizenship okay seriously you think that's a protection you you don't think someone with with ill intent is GNA say oh yeah yeah I'm a citizen I don't have but there's that second part Joe there's that second part because then I guess the clerk or whoever has to corroborate that so they have to have the sufficient uh documentation which I'm sure would include maybe a driver's Li checking their social say sufficient documentation it says that the person is sufficient convinced that they've established citizenship it doesn't list what they have how they sufficiently establish it yeah what does that think that local was that left the discretion of the um local official is that like a personal conviction you know I feel personally convicted you're like what you look him in the eye and and you're like oh yes this person's telling the truth do you not think they're local corrupt officials well of course there are do you do you think maybe have you seen the flag of Minnesota no I haven't you should look at you should look it up and then look at the flag of Somalia they have a new flag don't they yeah if you don't think there's local officials out of corrupt go don't you think these people would know they get across they come thousands of miles they go directly to these places that they're instructed to go they're going to know to go where they have someone in place who is going to let them simply sign an oath swearing Pinky Promise look these people that want to overthrow this country would let Satan vote as long as he promised to vote for a Democrat Paul come on now you know that and I know that the way we do this is we've got to a square away our personal virtue and B we've got to restore the sovereignty of these states and get people in these local offices that will prevent all of this from being accomplished because otherwise we're done historically Gary asked nobody stud history right that's our problem because we're not taught history anymore if we were we would see that we're walking the road walked right before the French Revolution you don't want that you don't want that I don't want that well I'm just um uh we we certainly don't want that but um I'm wondering why there isn't anybody in congress and of course you mentioned Massie but uh M Massie certainly is not sounding the alarm about all the problems and the the safety fact but why aren't the Republican congressmen who really do follow the Constitution at least a handful of them do why aren't they sounding the alarm and speaking with the kind of clarity that you've just spoken I think because of what Massie Massie made that clear at the end of his statement this is theater when he turned to the Republicans and said you get to make any vote you want you get to make the de because Guess what at the end of the day the save Act is DOA right and and bringing in history the theater that's the theater and bringing in history and the importance of understanding history I know one thing we've witnessed Joe over and over and over again is that the Republican party if there's anything they're good at there anything they excel in it's always rescuing defeat from the jaws of Victory they've done that going back to the Korean War that's so true and I want to commend Christian something that I talk about all the time is if you want to see a real debate you've got to go all the way back to 1960 I want to commend Christian for bringing that up because that's something you rarely hear anymore but watching Senator Kennedy and Vice President Nixon debate an actual debate not just something created for TiK ToK by Disney uh it's it's really something you should go to YouTube and watch that it's what what do you think since you brought that up Joe should they or should they not debate no come on now well yeah they should debate I'd love to see I haven't seen a debate in decades I'm 54 years old I haven't seen a debate in decades I'd love to see see a debate but I I didn't see one the other night I saw a little dis I saw a Disney produced Tik Tok episode that's what I saw are you saying the whole thing was Mickey Mouse exactly all right thanks Joe thank you so much for that I think it we like I said not a lot of folks are talking about Gary you wrote this uh article in the latest issue here and we have been maintaining since the beginning of the John bur society that we are not a democracy we are a republican I got to say this is this gets confusing here and there and so I want to get into some of that because there's obviously elements of democracy but in your latest article the siren song democracy you argue yes yep and then this uh this issue which is the uh uh let's see it's the September 30th issue of the new American Magazine yeah you argue that basically democracy is the road to tyranny yes why how could you say that well let me answer don't we want to save democracy yeah I'm originally from New England right so that gives me the privilege of being able to answer a question with a question but um uh let me let me ask you this question if you believe in Freedom if you believe in the preservation of your god-given rights and you believe that nobody should trample upon those rights not a king not an oligarchy yeah nobody should trample on those what rights yeah why do you think it's okay for those rights to be trampled upon as long as you have the usurpers acting in the name of the majority well I think the argument is that when the majority when it's the people and the majority who make the decisions that is not the same as the totalitarian the dictator which is obviously there's a big difference well how about the people in Germany who voted the national socialists the Nazis in the power yeah so there's just one example and history is replete with such examples how about Carl Marx and the Communist Manifesto who talked about winning the war for democracy what did he mean about by that I don't think most people know he said that well it's in the Communist Manifesto sure anyone who read The Communist Manifesto should know uh that he said it yeah so and how about the Constitution of the United States that does not use the word democracy but does guarantee in article 4 section 4 that the federal government should guarantee or that it does guarantee to every state in this Union a republican form of government let's talk and how about how about the powers of congress because Congress is supposed to act in the name of the people right or at least the the house house Representatives is supposed to be the the people's house so to speak can the people's house do whatever it wants well isn't it limited by the chain of the Constitution as to what it can do yeah Article 1 Section 8 in numerated powers and also the the US Senate originally was supposed to be elected by the state legislature so when you look at the cons there's only two Democratic leaning features the House of Representatives and but but that would be checked originally by the state being vators limit theocracy Ingress and then of people voting for um The Electoral College for the presidency but that's those are the only Democratic type features in the entire Con well you have referendums you know those those did not exist early on in American history those were because of the spirit of democrac and the Progressive Movement those are inventions of the late 19th century and early 20th century well and you have it on the local level all the time I mean you have local races that are determined the sheriff wins when he gets a majority but doesn't the sheriff take an Oaths to the Constitution sure and what does the Constitution say does it say that the government can do whatever it wants yeah or does the Constitution provide a cage so to speak that limits what the government that what the federal government may do and and uh aren't people Tak an oath to the Constitution aren't they obligated aren't they Duty bound to keep this federal government from breaking of that cage I would say that someone like a sheriff or a member of the house is an agent of the people or in the US Senate pre 17th Amendment an agent of the states but they because the oath that they take they are limited in the powers that they have so they're they're an agent with limited powers so if they abide by what they're supposed to the Constitution they shouldn't be able to just do what they want because the majority of the people have an have an itch in their butt to do something different yeah well I I think what's confusing to a lot of people and including me as i' I've as over the years as as I've struggled with this and tried to understand it because like we we clearly acknowledge that there are elements of democracy that are caked in baked in to Republican well aren't there also elements of monarchy for example and aren't their elements of uh oligarchy or elitism I mean let's let's take a look at the Constitution uh you could in a sense look at is a mixed government could you not where the president would be analogous to a monarch and the the house representative analogous to democracy and anal through ex people who are more elitist let's not forget that originally uh the Senate was supposed to represent the states yes and consequently right the the senators were elected by the states not by the um not by the people directly but that does not make us a monarchy uh does it it does not make us an oligarchy but you have these various features and all these features were designed it's all part of and balances to divide power among three branches uh and also to structure the powers of each branch in a way where each branch would be jealous of the other branches trying to overstep their powers to prevent this government that holds this awesome power from uh becoming u a destroyer of Rights rather than a protector of rights which is the whole purpose of government is to protect our rights so are you guys saying that I mean for instance we brought up uh the introduction you know the 17th Amendment and then we're talking about referendums which you said you know more or less recent they weren't there at the founding is this all part of the plan to turn us more into the Democracy because when you turn us into a democracy you're one step or however many steps away from becoming a totalit more totalitarian or uh you know allocate more power for instance executive orders uh we talk about executive orders all the time um the president was not supposed to to be able to just rattle off all these executive orders so we are devolving into a democracy and we're heading that way but we still have the Constitution and even though there have been changes to the Constitution that have not been good such as a change with the Senate where it's now direct uh elected directly by by that's a rep repblic but we still have basically a republican form of government and if we don't protect that if we lose it if we go Full Throttle into democ y we are going to lose our freedoms and it's that simple and I believe we have uh Joe wolton still with us listening and I wonder if Joe could participate in this discussion because Joe has done so much research in this area Joe you still with us there he is we Hest you with youcome back still with you welcome back hey everybody um good morning H I just I don't have much more to say Gary you nailed it I'm over here just just throwing my arms up and doing uh the wave I mean it's just me but I you you have said every little thing correct about the con every syllable that you said I've been over here amening and tapping my foot and you've said it all correctly we do if you want to start talking about do we have elements of democracy we have elements of monarchy we have elements of oligarchy we have elements of lots of different things because we have a mixed government and therein lies The Genius of our constitution it took the best of all forms of government and combined it into one that works perfectly with underneath and all of that built upon a foundation of federalism whereby no matter what happens in the federal government we always have the sovereignty and Independence of these republics because as Gary rightly mentioned and Christian I think cited it article 4 section 4 guarantee the word democracy doesn't appear but the word Republic only appears once and that's not regard to the government of the United States it's to the states the states are guaranteed to be independent Sovereign republics because consolidation that was a swear word to our founding fathers you read the federal everybody claims to have read them nobody has read The Federalist Papers they go out of their way out of their wayer shed all day long read Federalist 39 to tonight read 3945 and 46 tonight you will learn more about the structure of our government than you learned in four years of high school and four years of college and I than I did in four years of law school I'm telling you because he James Madison so clearly explains this is not a Consolidated Nation this is a confederated union of independent Sovereign republics who act according to their volunt har will yeah let me ask you something it seems like the next Target on those who do want to turn us into a democracy is the Electoral College would you say that is like the most glaring feature of a republic form of government no I would say the first thing if I well I I don't know if I had the power to do it if if some because everybody always talks about what they're going to do when they get elected I I want to vote for someone who tells me what he's going to undo when he gets elected yeah I like that great I'm going to run for office and that's going to be my promise to basically unravel brother I'll vote for you I me I won't move to I won't move to you'll be my campaign manager I ain't crazy but I'll I'll be your campaign manager but we need to undo the 16th Amendment we need to undo the 17th Amendment you undo those two amendments and you wake up in an America like the America that our founding fathers in and of course the 16th Amendment you I think most people know but the income tax amendment oh I would love to undo that I mean that is what I really I'm so tired of being taxed over and over and that income tax is killing us guess what with the 17th Amendment what that did is just neutered the states because before that guess what when the states found something egregious when they saw that Congress or the president was doing something that violated the Supreme Court they would just say to their Senators come back home y'all we're not sitting there we're not even going to sit and listen to this nonsense you can't do that today because today the Senators represent the people if you want to talk about the most egregious attack on the form of government created in the Constitution it is the 17th Amendment yeah I I would agree with that and I was just thinking too that in the federals papers and I bet you know uh the particular feder Federalist paper I don't recall the number off hand but it was James Madison and with regard to having both a house and a senate he explained it this way the logic of it uh that the uh in order for any Bill uh any bill before Congress to become law it cannot become law cannot get to the president for his signature unless it's supported by a majority of the people is represented by the house representatives and a majority of the states is represented by the Senate and what a powerful protection for our freedoms I want to point out it was meant to be to everyone who's who's watching that at the jbs.org website we actually have a free ebooklet called republics and democracies and think it can get a little confusing uh and a lot of folks don't know they don't know the difference I think excuse me and they don't understand that uh we don't need majority rule we need rule by law right and so and so but I think in the middle there there's there's quite a bit of there look a joke there you go that's the for the United States yes and so we explain that very well Robert wsh does that very well in republics and democracies I'm sure that that's another thing that Joe has written on extensively this is something that uh we need to grasp as a people and I think everyone would agree here is that we need to probably stop using that term and help others to understand that you know something very interesting happened the other day I was listening to uh I don't know like Tucker's on tour Tucker Carlson is on tour for the very first time I heard him use a republic instead of democracy because you know he has used democracy over and over I remember I don't know a couple weeks ago that VI vamas Swami pointed out that we're a constitutional republic and others have so so it may be catching on but this is an important distinction and so is the fact that that timer is
