Intro [Music] hello i'm katie welcome to the planner channel in this video we are going to be decorating the happy planner with stickers from the new disney oasis collection i found them in stores yesterday at my joann store and i'm super excited to check these out and do a new spread this week using these brand new stickers if you are watching live make sure you allow a stream yard to let you this new disney oasis collection so we are going to be using my five-step decorative process which i like to use to keep me on track when decorating my planner i enjoy decorative planning so that's why i like to decorate my planner before i do the actual planning in it each week so the five steps are to choose a theme which we did and we'll look at that in a second the next washi tape box stickers checklist and bullet points and decorative stickers so let's get right into it i'm going to switch the screen so we are looking over at the planner Choose a theme and we will get started with the first step so step one is to choose a theme let's move this to full screen over here this one full screen like so all right let me go over to comments and see who is here hey marcella and rosie happy sunday to you as well so let's check out there these are two the two disney oysters sticker books this one's like decorative this one's like functional and i just pulled from my collection a couple of washi tapes that look like they're going to match the colors we will see i actually haven't even really flipped through these yet other than just a quick look uh while i was there i found a couple more disney sticker collections these are from the color block uh disney planner that was earlier this year in 2021 um but they were in clearance and they're the mini and mickey theme so i thought maybe we could find something in here to go with this these might be too big but anyway they're so cute so i had to have those i have no idea what's in the accessory pack so maybe we'll take a look at these at the end but this is where we're gonna focus our theme this week Washi tape so let's get this page i like to take the pages out of the planner because it's so much easier to decorate them when they're not in your planner okay no i haven't seen any winnie the pooh stickers from the happy planner but i'm sure there are winnie the pooh stickers out there somewhere all right i'm just trying to make this where we can see it all right so i like to start off with washi tape because i enjoy it hopefully these colors will match and i like to use them decoratively so let's just start off with putting down some washi in a couple of places just because i like it um this is my exacto gripster knife it just helps to cut your washi like super straight and easy you can also use a credit card or a gift card before trimming washi so i'm going to go across i like to use the washi like i won't necessarily go all the way across the page because i have like a different schedule on the weekends so i usually decorate the weekends a little bit different and this will be my work week for this week monday through friday so let's put the washi monday through friday all right washi tape is down the next step is Box stickers box stickers so let's flip through these new sticker books and see what we have for boxes these look like all decorative i don't see any boxes in this one so let's go over to this one and look for some boxes i love these quotes we're definitely going to need a quote and this is a different color palette than usual which just makes it more fun to change it up um so here's some boxes we can use ooh ooh i like this one here's one real magic happens when you're positively you that's cute let's use that now your boxes do not have to go in the boxes you can do um you can put them anywhere they don't have to go in the box and you don't have to write in the box you can write around them where did i see that splotch i kind of liked that i'm gonna grab one of these as a background for my box sticker and just do it a little differently this time no reason i just feel like it so we're going to put a splotch here and then we can always add um like white box stickers around so i'm gonna line it up on a day but not this way horizontally i love that all right let's grab another one and put at least two boxes on here if we can find two in our colors that we picked out here's some minnie mouse ones yeah this is kind of our color theme um okay let's use four so since this one has like a blue box outline i'm gonna do the same thing with this on this side choose one of a similar sticker um do you want to go over that and then what's going to go here one two one two let's put this one here so to balance out out my pages i like to use like a similar sticker on the left page and a similar sticker on the right page so since we have two like that let's pick two maybe like these two that are similar and since this one has a quote here we'll put this one with a quote on this page and i like that it has that same like color splash on both pages too and then this is adorable let's just we have to have that let's put her on sunday morning or oh i like it here like that all right so there's some boxes Checklists & Bullet Points next up will be checklists and bullet points and it looks like there are some matching ones or some gold foil ones and some in different colors i kind of like the gold foil i think i'm going to grab those so let's put a checklist on each page so one on the left page or one on the right page i like to use tweezers and i like to put the checklists in between the two boxes because you can use them on both days both days and then it's a little bit bigger than our space because of where we put the washi tape so i'll just trim that off in just a minute all right grab this and trim and this one trim oops it says you have to really focus to do the washington okay and then maybe we'll find some bullet points for monday and um something for maybe the same maybe we'll find some bullet points for saturday and sunday also let's see what else we have in here wait what was that those are cute these little today stickers and you don't have to use just those dots for bullet points you can use anything oh i like those headers too they all say appointment though shopping appointment all right i don't see necessarily anything that could be a bullet point all right let's switch over here and see if there's anything in this sticker book that could be a bullet point these are a little larger oh we could use the little mini let's see if they're small enough to be a bullet point not really these are though okay sold i wonder if there's some mickey ones too that are that small yes all right mickey and minnie are going to be our bullet points so let's grab two minnie mouse since we have many here let's put minnie here on monday so two little minnie mouse on monday and they'll be our little monday bullet points one here and let's see she's looking to the left i really want her to be looking to the right so we have this one i guess she could be looking hmm that's all we have let's do this one and then let's do mickey on saturday and sunday this is adorable maybe we should have switched them that way mickey could have been looking here we'll have to put something over there for him to be looking at all right so now we have all the basics and it's time to do oh shoot i didn't change out our banners so we went through washi tape box stickers checklist symbol of points and now we are on to decorative Decorative stickers stickers okay let's look through oh these were good bullet points too well of course oh so are the bows i missed those pages flipping through here all right so let's find some good fun uh-oh it looks like it's paused on my end uh what do you all see on your end okay we're good um we have some space to do a large sticker here i like to start in the back all right those are good bullet points but we didn't use those we used one of the splotches there are lots of these buildings in this oasis theme i kind of like those little cactus i definitely want a quote maybe we should look at our quotes next and make sure there's a space for our quote oh yeah these are awesome let's see we need like a vertical one wonderful day i like that i like these colors follow your heart it's going to be a great day oh i like that is this a tall one these are separate best things in life aren't things good times plan your dreams life is better with friends i like all of these let your dreams lead the way i like that good things are coming so you cease to stay all right i'm thinking i like that one but that's that's like darker colors i want the lighter colors so oh i like that one good things are coming choose adventure always take the scenic route oh i like that too it's hard to choose i really like these colors good times life is better with friends i think let's do this one there that's one quote for us what else can we put in here oh let me go back over to comments so i can see all right we got a quote i really like these meeting oh you know what i actually do have a meeting on tuesday let's put that in there where's my tweeters let's just put a little reminder there i think i have an appointment thursday too pretty sure let's put that over here okay what other functional stickers do we need am i shopping next weekend probably appointment birthdays shopping these are let's put shopping saturday shopping yes let's put that there family time movie night we usually do that fridays salon appointment i think i'm good this week clean the house oh my gosh coffee date laundry i do today big ideas let's grab that big ideas i like that let's grab this one one of the lighter two ones let's put that over here okay which way was i going this way or the other way to do today i'm just going this way to do's we could put something like that on sunday how about this hooray for today that's cute let's put that over here and i want to put two headers on my checklist but we have to find something i don't think those to do at least say to do um maybe not oh day off appointment meeting day off let's see what else is over here if there's anything else we want to put into our spread i think we need more of these really cute decorative theme stickers back here like these some clear ones yeah maybe a couple of these little palms with something where are those little cactus i really kind of liked those there's that small strip of those like this i like these let's put these somewhere like maybe a few of them on this page at the bottom and then a few at this point on this page at the bottom like there so yeah let's do that so let's trim this one like this to put right here we'll overlap it on that oh maybe not let's go we can we have space so maybe overlap a little bit oh i like that and then these over here very cute i think we still need something up here towards the top let's see what else we can do let's put a couple bows just because they're cute where's their tweezers let's put a bow maybe at the top of the checklist that's cute i like that all right what else do we have i like that little oasis kind of window with mini these are big big stickers so there's other ones all right let's go back to this one and see if there's anything else i kind of sometimes i like words that go on across top of the washi maybe there's something we could put there like that good times like that ready for new adventures but kind of it'd be good where the washi tape is what is that to do today we already got our big ideas i want to add something else something else like right there let's go back here again shine bright i like that maybe that one that's going across good times i wonder how that would look there let's see how that looks there oh my gosh i love it okay we're gonna put that there and then the little polka dot matches her skirt that's adorable let's see if i can line it up straight-ish oh my gosh you guys i love that okay i think that's it for this spread how do i take that off okay all right let's see how
