Travis Hunter: Overrated or the Greatest College Football Player Ever?

[Music] yeah please tell me that I can't that I won't that I fail that I'll never make it out yeah please tell me all the bad never good feel my head full of every single doubt yeah please say any negative thoughts I pop off when I hear people say I cannot I get off to the thought I proven everyone wrong I won't stop to the top so you better back off I get lost I'm a stay L stay proud never running out never heading south I'll be spreading out call it word a mouth can't put me down I'll be getting loud you can never doubts not what I'm about have your phone cloud it be raining now I keep make it sound go another round I'm let him bound can't stop me now you don't to I Slow Burn like a dece just tell me that I can and show you things that you couldn't believe just tell me that I can just tell me that welcome back to another episode of Rob Sports Center man as you can see by the title I'm back another Travis Hunter video now I seen a video similar to this pop up and it said is Travis Hunter the best player in college football and I got to thinking and I was like you know what he damn near pushing forward I will say this if Travis Hunter can keep up a very substantial level of play and he doesn't get hurt I I mean I think he's going to be a shoe in for Heisman that's just my honest opinion man because I will say that this young man has impressed me from last year even up into this year I wasn't quite sold on him originally obviously you know what I mean like um even when he went to Jackson State I was like you know obviously it's like okay this is HBCU Talent this isn't like it's you know Big 10 it's not like this it's the SEC like you know so you know obviously coming from a school like a smaller school or a less competitive School in terms of Athletics you know you're going to have those doubts you know but I look at what not what he only did there but now what he's doing in Colorado man I watched this dude last night have some of the most phenomenal catches and I'm trying to say I think I'm going to put those catches in right maybe here or I might end up inserting them in the video like right after I said they just all depends but I'm probably going to have them on the screen up here and it's like man just pay attention to some of those catches that man was making last night dude it was insane like I I was very impressed with what I seen But the thing is this too so I did a video about um Colorado and North Dakota state but I was like okay let me do a video about Travis Hunter individually so in that video I mentioned one of the things that that stood out to me about Travis Hunter was that I seen somewhere where I guess he was being interviewed and they was ask I'm assuming they was asking him about you know playing both ways and he was just saying that you know this offseason he spent a lot of time gearing preparing his body and building his body up to be able to play 100 snaps a game I can't think of any players who love the game right now that much to be able to to say that they're willing to play 100 snaps and that's both ways now you might got some people that's on offense that's willing to play 100 snaps and you might got some people that's on defense that's willing to pay 100 snaps but to sit there and say you're going to go both ways you know what I mean but also too what I even mentioned in that video is I mentioned that the fact is that you know a lot of it is you know just looking at his athleticism but you got to understand the the mental um I for one the mental approach to play both sides of the ball consistently right and then on top of that the mental IQ to be able to retain information offensively and defensively because for those who may not know especially offensively a lot of times whatever the play was called in that huddle when we get to the line of scrimmage a lot of times it can be adjustments based off what I'm seeing from PRI snap re if I'm the quarterback I'm saying hey I don't like this I think that this particular play that we're running and what I believe that they're in is not going to be good for us so let's make those adjustments so you have to be able to make those adjustments when they get to doing hand signals like um um 00222 when they get doing all those things and you got everybody looking at each other and everybody kind of readjusting and as a defense you looking like okay what are they doing you know what I mean so you got to have the mental the mental aspect of the game but I'm just going to read to you like a little small box core um from him this past game against North Dakota State um he had one he for so we going to start off with Russian first so he had one carry for zero yards and I don't really think that's a KN that's not a knock against him because like I said um if you look at Colorado as a whole rushan they didn't have too much success you know you had shador Sanders who was the second leader in terms of rushing with six carries for 17 yards and his longest was 11 so I mean I wouldn't necessarily say that that's on Travis you know and that but then that goes to show you too that he's being utilized in a a numerous amount of ways that's why I say the mental aspect because he's not just lining up outside the number he lining up outside the numbers he lining up in the slot he's probably lining up with tight end lineup at he probably sometimes comes to that backfield lineup right next to shador sometimes he probably even takes the direct H um direct um hik from you know from the backfield so it's a lot of different parts that he plays so receiving we all know he did receiving seven receptions 132 yards and three touchdowns like I said in my previous video too man I know for sure probably about four of them catches he made were spectacular catches you know what I mean like it like for real it was it was it was uh NCAA catch that this dude was making like he just like looking at Travis yesterday man he just looked like a man amongst boys you know he just really looked like he just was you know out there basically like it's like everybody that that was holding him they was just out there you know and some people might say well I mean he did that against North Dakota State and it's like okay who's to say he can't do that against SEC who's to say what he's doing want translat NFL now playing both ways yeah we might have a question mark there but in terms of being able to make the adjustment La Talent wise I believe so me personally and even on defense he had three solo tackles which is impressive to me you know being a corner most Corners do not like tackling you know most Corners you know probably shy away from contact but it seems like with him from what I see he Embraces the contact you know he Embraces the challenge and the thing about it I was against this last season you know um I didn't make no videos about it but I was against I was like man he can't play both I was putting my limitations on that young man he can't play both ways he can't do it and I was checked by one of my buddies and it was saying I mean why not if he feel that he's up to the task why are we trying to tear him down if he feel he's up to the T if he's putting the the um the work in behind closed doors that we're not seeing to put himself in a position to be confident that he can play both ways at a high level at least at least on the Collegiate level why are we going against him you know and that's the thinking outside the box that that's the mentality that the greats have you know like I said in the last video if you guys are familiar with the last dance with Michael Jordan so you remember when Scotty Pimpin was holding out was hoping that they were Jerry cron was going to change his um contract which they didn't but he held out on going into that season so Mike starts the season without him and it was asking Mike you know like okay like how is it losing Scotty and like what what's what's next and he was just like you know one man on stop of show he was like I'm gearing myself up to play you know to do what I have to do in terms of playing to to to take up for what we're lost in Scotty and he had a sad a sad sadistic smile to it after he said that you know he had a blank first blank face at first now he made that statement he kind of just looked and had like a little grin you know what I mean but it's just like that's what the greats have that they're always welcoming The Challenge and that's what I like about Travis Hunter you know what I mean so um like I said if this guy can keep up this level of play going until um by the end of the season I think he's a shoe in for Heisman let me know what y'all think but hey let me know what yall think for real let
