[ASMR] Solving Mini Crossword Puzzles

everybody everybody everybody everybody how's it going everybody and welcome welcome welcome welcome back to another ASMR video in tonight's video I am going to be doing something that I love doing on the daily quite literally and that is some Min crosswords now as many of you may know I love my daily games whether it be Wordle or the connections both of which we have actually played on the channel quite a lot but another one that the New York dreams does that is very addictive and sometimes quite challenging is little mini crossword puzzles that usually don't take longer than a couple minutes to do and so I thought tonight we would go back in the archive and play some of the past many cross wordss and see how well we can do and I really hope that you all do enjoy as we solve them together puzles to help you sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep sleep okay so here we are on the New York Times game website it is currently Monday the 17th of June and uh as you can see I have done a few of the puzzles today including the Wordle and things but I I think tonight we are going to try and do as many many puzzles as we can now as you can see this is the size of a normal crossword but this however is the size of a mini crossw word and I love the mini crosswords because well they're a little bit smaller and uh just a little bit easier to solve really and I'm not so good at them so we'll do our best to solve as many as we can starting with this first one and feel free to play along with me and see if you can get the words okay so let's begin with the way I like to do the cross words is go through all the across ones first and then go through all the down ones so let's see entice is the first one so if you entice someone you're you I I would say you are tempting them tempting tempting piece of asparagus okay a piece of asparagus I'm not going to lie to you guys I don't eat a whole lot of asparagus so I don't really know what you call a single piece of asparagus and maybe it'll come to me with eight across laser pointer Chaser okay so what chase the laser point well it's that's a cat but it could also be a dog but it's a two- worder so it's like with seven across so what it means it's a five letter word and then a threel word so maybe it's kitty cat perhaps kitty cat kitty cat I could be very wrong we'll see when we get to the down Clues um n across like a wink that suggests this is our little secret I'm not too sure about that one only three letters disapproving clu so this is where we're going to move on to the down Clues also if you're wondering where I'm seeing these uh Clues I look at the ones up here I know that they are over at the site but they're a little smaller and harder to read it's probably best to read them over here uh also this website doesn't have dark mode unfortunately so I do apologize so a disapproving cluck would maybe be like the SK like that's a disappointing or disapproving clu I guess it could be disappointing as well Grand film Productions now usually when something's plural that means it ends an S so the only thing I could think this would be is epics epics and makes sense as well so iron for example iron is a type of metal oh I think I can see what this one's going to be no so like a wink that suggests it's our secret is slime of course okay so shape of a York Peppermint treat now I don't actually know what I work peppermint is but I'm going to assume it's maybe circular so maybe it's like a Patty uh which leaves us with five tone give it a go that is going to be dry which means that six ofr would be a spear of asparagus go you a spear of asparagus okay so we solved that in four minutes not so bad I know we could do a little bit better better and so in which case we are going to go to the mini archive and I'm going to track back to I don't know 20 22 a month where I don't I haven't really done many for example you know if I was supposed to go or if I was to go to like May or April of this year you can see there's ones that I've done so if I go back to like a random month of a random year let's start just going through some of them um the puzzles do get harder as the week goes on so Mondays tend to be the easy ones so we'll see if we can do an entire week that's why I've clicked on Monday the 6th of June and not the 1st of June so let's play and get started okay symbol in the middle square of a SC Scrabble board now I love the game Scrabble and I know that the middle square is a star now actually the middle Square in most Scrabble boards is a double word score as well so I don't know if the star means that but anyway employer of Rocket scientists I'm assuming is NASA NASA NASA rocket scientists I need to scroll down a little bit it's kind of cool you can see the time I'll keep it up okay low quality in slang low quality in slang see in ASMR we would say it's low high but I have a feeling it's not going to be low five because of for down maybe let's actually take a look at that bit of sunshine so that's going to be a ray so maybe low quality could be um I don't know let's come back to it strong desire seven across now that could be one it could be need it could be love I'm not too sure so let's go on to eight what bioluminescent creatures do bioluminescent would that mean like what does bioluminescent mean I mean it should be pretty self-explanatory but my head I just put it together uh I'll come back to it grow could that be like could that be snare or snarl I think that's a word right snarl dance that originated in Buenos Aries is the Tango I think I've made a mistake somewhere but we'll come back to it slightly off kilter is that a skew I don't actually know what kill kilter means off kilter but a skew seems to work um so now let's see if we can get this bit big milk container I want to say that that's a jug so yeah bioluminescent they will glow because of the light and being slightly seethrough I think that's what that means janky I've not heard of and then urge is strong desire rather than Wonder or need so not so bad that one you can see that wasn't too difficult but uh a couple of Clues a couple of words I'm not the most um I don't read many books so I don't know too many um you know fancy words and things like that but that wasn't too bad let's go back and see if we can take on the ches day one um let's play see if I can get a good there we go okay work with needle and thread so that is not to knit but to so because uh to knit is with a needle and not like yarn but like wool right a little suspicious you're little suspicious you are a little suspicious I would have said skeptical but that does not fit a little suspicious come back to it far away from land now some of these could mean some of these could could be two wers so like this could be space but it could also be like in air or at Sea so I think that's kind of a tricky one to do right now uh I'm going to guess far away from land is going to be at Sea though full of substance um full of Sub full of substance just fill it up right um full of substance you would literally just say full um I'll come back to that the S of GBS abbreviated oh my gosh what does GPS stand for I feel like I should know I I would guess it's like signal so would it be SGL it might not be but regardless we know that it's going to start with s right let's see if we can get some of the uh tone Clues um so YouTube Wikipedia Facebook Etc they are going to be sites so at C looks like it could be right guest BL term that replaced oped at the New York Times I have no clue what that even means guest I'm gonna have to hopefully fill that one in magically somehow Peaks as one's appetite gosh why am I struggling already uh close relatives so this could be because it's informally it could be fam and then wooo is probably yay so now can I get this a little suspicious is probably could it be fiery a little suspicious fiery would that makes sense I don't know and then full of substance could that be Meely Meely feels right one of these got to be wrong M signal could be wrong I don't know what real means so I think this is probably wrong something here what I am going to do is reveal what this word is System of of course so you can reveal what some of them are I'm trying my best not to do that though but okay so no Peaks as one's appetite maybe fiery is wrong so then at C I feel like Melee is right though full of substance it could be meaty though um what is this one and then what thiss one guest something say I am going to have to find out what this word is I think what word was it it was fishy oh of course why would it be fiery a little suspicious as fishy so this is weights and this is essay guest essay I don't think I would have guessed those two words so that's unfortunate but we'll go on to Wednesday's one see if we can do a little bit better at this um staple food for more than 3.5 billion maybe rice is what I would guess it's quite a common food um winner of a record 14 French Open titles um I I generally can't think of who that would be there's a few names that come to mind but I don't want to jump to conclusions paperless way of pay paying for utilities uh I'm going to say is it email maybe or would it be like e it's probably like e something CU a paperless way would be online but be paying for utilities it it would just be like e it's gonna be e something it's it's G to be a weird word not below finally an easy clue above l blank is never found again is it lost love is never found again I feel like I've heard this clue but I maybe it's not love I don't know because that wouldn't make sense to end lost I don't know what that that one is Torah expert um is that a rabbi I don't know why you spell that hold your horses or I have a clue I think it's an idiom have a go is that like calf oh this is going to be lost time it's never found again gotcha Fashion Magazine with a palindromic name so a palindromic name is a word that's the same backwards so e blank blank e gosh I don't know many fashion magazines I generally might have to just leave that and Orit fills in naturally without ice at a bar that is neat if you have a drink neat it's no ice so Nadal is the player I was thinking of but I didn't know he had won 14 French Open titles but rafan adal is definitely the one that came to mind when I saw five letters so then this one here is e Bill see I don't like that um term I knew it would be e something I don't like it when they do clues like that okay so no help with that one there let's go into Thursday's one see what we have okay Clinton's vice president was who was Clinton's vice president I don't know much about American wait what look at this Dutch blank French blank British blank I have no idea what those are going to be an annoying Critter is probably going to be a best Canada Canada I have no idea squished circles are ellips days but that doesn't fit turn back to zero this is a tricky puzzle there must have been something happening on this day sometimes they do that uh what's really annoying as well is I haven't seen Lord of the Rings so I don't know what the tree creatures are called but 15% or 20% set for a waiter is a tip does that help me get these now French British that's that's so annoying maybe if I get what the the tree creatures were called that can help me out an okay so a French this is yeah this is this puzzle is I'm just going to reveal the entire puzzle I think just have this puzzle has a little learning curve for me French toast British Isles okay I maybe could have got them a dutch oven of course and then Gore ovals okay that was actually an easier puzzle than I thought it was reset oh I didn't even do that one in the end I maybe could have done that dang well that was unfortunate I feel like I definitely could have done that puzzle I'm been annoy to myself we'll move on to Friday's one of that week you can see it definitely gets harder as it goes word after I in the blank I in the black or pie in the I think it's sky high in the sky ey in the sky or Pie in the Sky yep actress de armus I don't know who that is it has a face and two hands so you're trying to trick us out here but that's going to be a clock clock clock clock clock this one looks like a pretty easy uh puzzle actually no look looking through the the clues uh so this is blank the saying goes It's going to be as the saying goes Scrump ches is going to be tasty which leaves us with a dance or a dip is salsa garlic oh I was going to say cuz it's a doy appetizer I thought it was just going to be garlic bread but I think are they gar like clots I don't know and then a Billionaire's boat is a yacht so they're not clots are they crots Coots they're not of course I just got a little bit confused because my brain didn't put together the K and N would be knots okay so I feel like honestly that's been the easiest one of the week so far I don't know about you guys let's try Saturdays say is much bigger much much bigger um Saturdays and Sundays usually do tend to be the bigger ones uh we have a sad face I'm guessing that's just going to be sad then right one might auto play on a website well we all know watching videos on YouTube that sometimes they auto play so that will be a video Glitz and glamour Could That Be Fashion maybe big name in chips and red Souls now this is Americans so chips are crisps a big name is it sun I feel like it's Sun Sun Chips that rings a bell but I don't know if um they do Pretzels Plus that doesn't look right with fashion FS media wedding hashtag it could be we'll keep going uh so next Scooby blank is scoobydoo look at look at five T so far is just o um popular water bottle brand I have a Chili's water bottle right here is it Chili's and how do they spell it c h i l l y s could it literally be the water bottle I have beside me literally proving the point I don't know though Sierra blank African country is Sierra Leon and then piece of lawn piece of loan loan is like your garden so a piece of that just thinking grass I don't know I'm gonna go through all the down Clues because there's a chance that we've made a mistake so goes S as a stake so I would have thought that would be sizzles so something SI I said z l s we have definitely made a few mistakes here Sun can't be right Chili's can't be right so let's move on woodworking tool I think maybe we made a big mistake because a woodworking tool is an axe one might auto play on a website a video right what could that be with an X if it's not it's got to be a video right let's move on street with no Outlet no this is it's definitely video because that's a dead end crucial and that's going to be vital layer of the Earth's uh Stratosphere well that's the ozone layer so that's why yeah there's not three O's in a row uh many a wedding hashtag I haven't been to many weddings to be honest only a couple and they were when I was younger what hashtag would you use at a wedding like maybe bride and groom or something I I generally don't know uh either way I think I can see that this one is is it Pizzaz um actress Kravitz is soy slime that's going to be goo so this is sword a sword okay so popular water bottle brand something Jean I don't know big name in prel and chips something te said it's Amer American I don't know and then the water bottle brand I don't know I feel like it's either ball Jean or PA Jean I I don't know the wedding hashtag wedding if I can get the wedding hashtag then I've got it many weding hash p I don't know it's gonna bug me I'm gonna have to reveal though let's find out pun many a wedding hashtag oh they're just saying that the hashtag is a pun that's such a silly clue that's so stupid that's a stupid clue also I'm sorry I've never heard of OOTS or UD said and I've never heard of no neither very sorry if that's an American thing uh This Is The New York Times so anyways we'll move on to the last one of the video the Sunday puzzle I know there's definitely going to be Clues from this video that some of you are screaming at me watching and commenting down below tile how did you don't get that one anyways do a post laundry great task uh probably iron I need to a lot of ironing right now uh drink topped with whipped cream um drink up with ice cream uh whipped cream I would have said I would have thought like hot chocolate but what else is got whipped cream on top I can't think of what they're called I know what it is I'll come back to it they're blank enough hours in the day there aren't enough hours in the day present as a play present as a play I feel like this could be like act something or maybe like on time or like on air could it be on air maybe I probably not but they come home to roast I would have said hens strength something earn so something's probably wrong where there there's much where much of the world's carbon is stored is um points four 1 23 45 what 12345 example I don't get that black or card okay so this should help us out because this is cash or card so now drink topped with whipped cream surely it's not coffee what I don't know present as I play or could it just be seen strength I can't think of what that word is I blank Earth I would have thought it's Force so maybe Iron's not right maybe it's fold and that makes that Force this just looks like it should be coffee but it's not going to be um where much of the world's carbon is stored why don't I know that one oh blank in Pines I don't know H is that meant to be a date why would they pick that of all days uh imagine it's just gher but then something's definitely wrong so I'm just going to reveal or check you can do an auto check to see what you've got wrong okay so I've actually got those red letters wrong so strength we can turn on auto check so that now tells us it's not force it's not Forge um Fort or Fort um I still don't know what that one is or that one what is this one oh that's going to be stage so that's going to be Longs for and this is Coco Coco how did I not get Coco oh my gosh I never call IT Coco you see I just call it hot chocolate so that's frustrating I would have got it if I had known that that I was right technically and what is what is that as a date come on oh boy well everybody that is be it for tonight's video I hope you
