it was great yeah great it brought us together to this fine uh city of Peterboro New Hampshire Peter pet and uh yeah I mean the best part was really just getting standing around awkwardly together so very very strange it's honestly one of my best talents is standing around awkwardly so let's uh Center everybody in the gimbal that's a little bit better okay I was just going to suggest to shuffle everybody over but that your idea was yeah well you know the camera moves easier than all of us so but now you're off screen so it's all right you don't need to see me I'm usually on the oh no okay still rolling is it still recording yeah I have no idea what happened rolling so um so first impressions yep uh what did you think Chris I'm not a musical theater guy but I think I can say with some Authority that you have not seen men lant until you've seen it in the original [Laughter] backy uh let's see I think he was meant to play this role it was amazing okay I I loved it and but my brain the first time I saw it this was the second night I saw it the first night I saw it my brain was melting because I was experiencing an old memory and my brain couldn't comprehend how I remembered something and knew something so well from so long ago and it was happening now so it was like mindbending and then besides the play being layers inside layers inside levels this was another layer yeah it was another another layer to it was too much for my brain I an Inception of quantum leag cuz the blocking was the same in parts and the action was the same in Parts I imagined Dean Stockwell walking the lines in the background that's the only thing that the play was missing was Dean stagwell you to see the he might have been there he was there oh yeah yeah we just there which is you know that's canonical we wouldn't yeah when Scott was going up those stairs at the end uhhuh I was like myor my maybe just hit record I don't know it says the screen will no longer turn off during this recording and it and it said that last time so I don't know if that was it still recording the whole time yeah it's at 3 minutes it's just turning the screen off okay yeah but then we can't see ourselves that's true and that's the most important part cuz nobody else watches us okay I guess just kind of tap it every we watch you oh and we watch you so exactly the feedback back deal so did we get your first impressions or yeah First Impressions uh yeah I mean I thought it was excellent uh you know Scott back amazing U yeah I'm not a big musical guy but I do really enjoy uh Scott pul scene that's for sure um yeah it's you know the more important part was meeting all of you guys in person for the first time so because I met Scott back previously but it's still awesome to do it again but yeah isn't he aome he's a he's decent looking col we got to meet Chelsea tonight yeah Chelsea that was nice that was great TAA Oh Yeah from He-Man now I got to watch that again you haven't seen that yet live action He-Man I don't think to yeah yeah you first time oh because I didn't even I must have missed her completely oh yeah last night a white puffer jacket dipped out last no I think she was standing right in front of me recogniz yeah okay um so yeah obviously we love Scott and we're talking about Scott and Chelsea but just to props the entire cast did a really amazing job um the whole thing was was great thank you Chris thank you so still recording yeah might just cut out that part I I don't know how does that work what's the counter this is good power saving the counter is at five minutes do this completely unedited yeah yeah perfect this is just going to be people leaning into the show this is are we on this is what a late night hotel room P play party time excellent okay um uh and we met some Quantum link podcast listeners did you want to tell us about that to me surreal so just to give some context this is the second time that uh Alby is seeing the show this is my second night going to the show but I saw it last night I felt no need to see it seven times like Al's and uh so what I did was I knew where Scott was going to be after the show and I came and I crashed the lobby after and um I was wearing the quantum leaf t-shirt represent and I hiding it I was so embarrassed another Shir over yeah I was I was just so because you I have a back and forth a thing with fandom I love being a fan but I don't want to be that guy and like if Scott you know he's so gracious and he's doing a great job and then all of a sudden hi I'm the Quantum Leap guy hey so I don't want to be that way but then some a woman I forgot what her name was uh Tammy was first one she came up and she said I love the quantum Le podcast and I think she recognized you first maybe and she hated St a r wanted to say and I couldn't comprehend what she was saying like she she said something like I just want to tell you I love your guy you guys and your show and I was like what like were you did you like the way I applauded for Scott tonight understand she's like the quantum Le podcast I was like oh yeah that's that's so I don't know if she pretended to know who I was too but she knew you right you were everyone just thinks you're the but um because it's surreal because this the first time that we saw Scott uh I was with John Irons and the Beautiful John Irons I'm online and I'm talking to John and you guys were there you were kind of right in front of and then some woman said Chris are you Chris and I said yeah what did I do what and she recognized my voice because you know I don't shut up she recognized my voice and she said I listen to the podcast and I'm such a big fan and this is now the second time we've been to um Scott event and we've had the crossover fandom that recognized like us and you're still surprised which is like what yeah I didn't understand recognized that's how it happen I got to recognize by Alby yeah yeah yeah thank you Tammy and then another gentleman came up to me and he said I love the podcast why didn't you get to meet them yeah uh he was T tall guy in a ball capat and um yeah he just complimented yourself he said I watch and listen so I have to think that he probably saw a lot of the interviews that you did with probably you know when we were doing the new show when we were doing uh 2022 so um very cool yeah so I mean that's that's also a nice bonus aside from seeing friends I haven't seen Brian in 15 years and uh we can just get together but then there are people that actually know us no end it's again an Inception thing people meeting us before they meet Scott or something like no end of what yeah so I I got it after a while well now people know where to find us cacula yeah l a hotel in New Hampshire and as we were singing man M coming into the hotel room a guy from the parking lot said I was just had that I know that would have been cool yeah you got his thoughts I think he might have had he doesn't know that we're podcasting he might have taken that a little bit differently okay uh so what do you think is show and all the production quality I mean the visuals the colors the lighting the music great let's talk about it yeah five Twisted stars out of five all right you want you want the the truth yeah when listening to it kind of the music seemed a little weak it sounded like a high school band MH and then as it was going with the show it fit the style of the show so I didn't know if it was It was kind of medievally it was kind of off tune it sounded almost like a traveling band like a traveling yes like Carnival band or something like that and I was thinking wow this could be a lot tighter this could be are they in tune but then as the show went on like the whole there we go okay tap the thing hopefully to keep the screen on okay but anyway it it seemed to fit the mood of the show so then I had to think that it was deliberate so that was the only thing that bumped me at first so I was like this you know is are these the New Hampshire players I don't know there was a lot of levels I think and I think part of it was things were done to be more accurate to the story than production quality so that's where I I I like yeah like they're just putting on a little play in Aon so like they're not going to have the best instruments yeah and like the people in the play while we're watching the story of uh don kyote kind of sometimes break character into their other character that's a level up and I was just and like some of the singing is kind of off but I think that's on purpose to be part of the show because at other times it's like on point because these aren't like professional actors they're just well it's yeah it's like local community theater no but like I the characters are just the prisoners yeah who picked up the script two yeah speaking of which how did they memorize their lines oh he was just coaching them as they went yeah I don't think they memorize their lines I think um he just said here's a subject talk and that's what we're doing it was more improv maybe yeah like this here's the art yeah it you have to see it live I think to get yeah I mean by the time we get this out the show is already sold out and uh already so go see Lincoln in DC but don't buy our tickets don't tell them when we're going we're not we're going to we'll be around are we going I think so we going I don't know that we have another conversation we're going Adam said we're going so we're going 40 40 bucks he didn't even know what you asked him is that all the tickets are that's what1 $41 we can go like four times it's all of these other expenses will probably go 28 it's a onean show right SC will be like what are you doing with life how how do you have a Onan show for like well there's only one Lincoln like 9 minutes just monologue the whole time yeah it's actually no the show is Scot on stage just building things at a Lincoln Log oh it could be watch a whole different thing he end up assassinating himself at right I don't know I'm very confused if they do the ending of it it'll be in the theater that it actually happens so it's kind of like zone are those tickets for sale I don't think you can sit in that Booth though right that's like blocked off was it part of the show I don't know what the booth when Lincoln got killed I mean are they I don't know I don't I'll talk to Jay and see if we can sit in the special day yeah J get we'll sit right next I think that's bad luck we're going to sit in Le hover Al's Booth wrong wrong as oh check out that other podcast Chris and I went to Dallas Dallas and we stood on the spot where Kennedy got shot no I ran out in the road and got a picture Tak did take my picture oh you the spot where Kenedy got shot yeah no but we were also but not on the day it happened it wasn't us many maybe it was I mean we were there the day happen we just weren in the depository that's true we're Stacy did the most of anybody I tried I just have that whole anxiety thing nobody asked I know that so uh final thoughts and ratings on man lancha in Peterboro North Carolina at the Peter no New Hampshire pet newshire hsh yeah and where we're at right now I think out of 10 I think we do it out of 10 on Quantum Le podcast no we do it out five out of five I gave I gave it five Twisted swords five Twisted swords out of five I enjoy Serenity I give it five dirty rcks out of five all right Stacy let's go with h five of those red floppy hats I'll do I'll do a 4.9 just so it's not getting a perfect score M of what of what of bees be yeah were those in the show were those in the show well that's another met level because we encountered a lot of be today of there we go that that's what I thought of under pressure under pressure [Music] Chris Chris I give it uh 4.75 um why don't we say um gypsy thieves on the road robbing donke hot out of five that was a good scene I'm going to give it nine catch a falling star laser discs that were're there tonight thanks to Tammy yeah Tammy yes yes so yeah I just first time it was mind-blowing and like I thought I was going to have a stroke or was having a stroke but in a good way and then tonight was just understanding it more and appreciating the art of what everyone was doing in everyone's performance because it was slightly different because it is every night but I was just enjoying the whole thing and I felt like I was part of the theater because I wasn't just at a show and leaving I was like experiencing it with them because it's two nights in a row even though they got more nights and the third night I think I'll even even enjoy it more yeah I feel so I have to watch it like five or four uh six more times to get a full appreciation for everything when we talk about episodes I watch it like five times and he's still and then I'm like Chris what happened and he's like I watched it three days ago I don't know all right so final thoughts anything uh I would ask Serenity uh you saw it now two nights in a row so what was different the second night as opposed to the first night or were there anything that you noticed that was like good different bad different okay so the first show it felt like longer than the second show um even even though they were the exact same time and um let out at the exact same time just it felt like a little bit longer the first time you know I experience that sometimes when I'm driving to a place it seems like oh I'm never going to get there and then when you know your way to that place all of a sudden it seems like oh it's a snap exactly like so you you kind of knew the show you knew the beach you know what to expect yeah um and also um in the first show there was a um malfunction oh yeah the microphone the microphone from offage no of the guy with the Golden Hat yeah the guy with the Golden Hat his microphone flew away his microphone fell so he just lifted it hand I remember that yep and um Scott's sword uh Buckle broke during the fight no last when they were doing the whole fight with the stick in the broom and everything it looked like he was fidgeting with it a little bit Yeah like he was like points like it was a little stuck or something he was worried it was going to break yeah so anyway yeah no it's was just curious to know because that's the kind of thing that you would get from repeat viewings of a live show like that I I noticed the thing he was fiddling with Scott was fiddling with oh to put maybe a glove or something in his pocket before he could put his vest on so then he kind of sped up his vest on okay to catch up with it cuz the last night it was like exactly like it was exactly like the episode so like he put it on on the exact beat that he did in the um in the that that was the difference two differences I notic unintentional and uh like when when uh he fought the windmill the stuff flew out in different directions and different lengths and speeds whoever was it a different order yeah okay they just went yeah and what was weird was there was differ Applause Parts in this tonight than last night like people applauded differently and laughed differently so yeah must be laughing I I experienced that when I actually did plays back in high school weird same weirdest things things that aren't funny like yeah I got like a giant laugh first night on something and then nothing the next night and you're expecting it right right uh what else I think um just the whole atmosphere is amazing there the barn it was a great venue yeah and the thing that freaked me out about it the first night was you know we saw candles like lighting the sides I was like you know LEDs electric candles real candles in a barn that's made out of wood kind of freaked me out all right well we're all here though so it's it's okay don't don't be afraid hopefully we're here tomorrow hopefully yeah so uh best part favorite part oh my God just hearing Scott sing the beats that we saw on catch a falling star hly I don't know the musical beyond the medley from the soundtrack and watching the episode so that was the only way that I really knew this story at all catch same I had no experience story honestly I think like seeing Chelsea going forward just doing all of that high like she's starting high and I know this I know that the tune is going to go higher and higher and higher and I'm just like cringing waiting for her to you know fail I do that a lot the Opera too like I know where they're headed with the note and I'm just like are you going to hit it you going to hit it and I get I get anxiety for them so told it was fine it was like almost appara aaric right cuz it was very high yeah and very good I lik it was great and and uh uh so favorite part more Miss Adventures m Adventures old I love that line that was good favorite Parts everybody you go first no you don't have anything no favorite um probably that last part when he's sick and he gets up and he starts uh getting better and then dies yeah before before he dies is the part that I my favorite part yeah um probably my favorite part is the exact part from catch a falling star when like he's putting on the vest and singing um song yeah I'm going to copy you guys cuz uh when that happened I was uh first night especially I had had like happy tears going on was so Joy happening and I felt myself like smiling like I was beaming yeah it was very similar to the episode right very similar so glad the exact same and I don't know if other Productions do that or not so yeah yeah was it intentional that they did Scott put that in there he did his own walking or was like this is how I do it stand very potenti stand back this is how do it it was very in Ally mirroring I learn I learned this 30 years ago yeah this is he did it when he was younger too right yeah yeah yeah he already he when he was in his his 20s yeah he thought he wasn't old enough yeah he said he didn't think he could pull off playing The Old Man and now he's the old man I I really love that part it's got to be very meta for him just like it is for us to watch it yeah I wonder he's he's got to like people that come from all over the world to see him in a local theater right yeah well like how I felt with that is um just pulling a little bit Quantum Leap and a little bit of Star Trek here um it felt like watching catch a falling star like if you put the program into a Hol deck that that's how it felt like and Captain Archer wanted to do it yeah so you mean you mean Chef there you go any uh any crushes from this play at all that's something we do on I mean transation there's a reason I gave I gave the the Gypsy uh the the the the girl who played the Gypsy that was robbing them that's my crush crush I think me and Chris have some we also like Hannah Cruz from the connector I had a crush on on the gypsy girl but of course my forever Crush would be Scott back yeah course worse CU he's a handsome man Stacy it's got to be the dean Stockell we couldn't see yeah but he was there in spirit he was there he was there I felt him I really did and even if you know he wasn't because you know uh physics uh I I feel like uh Scott might have felt him there absolutely you know what I mean oh sure at least the first like they were doing it yeah maybe Crush oh yeah gpsy
