everybody welcome back to Newcastle fans TV you can see me and Andy in all its Glory it's the caraval cup second round draw here live on Newcastle fans TV Newcastle United weren't in the second round last season but they are this season because Manchester United decided to beat Manchester City I know absolutely devast I've got Andy with me to help me with the draw Lee will be on just a little bit later on as well but make sure you get your comments in who do you want to see Newcastle United face in that draw but uh Andy good evening to you didn't think we'd be meeting in the second round draw but uh here we are I mean this well near this time last year we were doing all live reaction for the Champions League draw in the junction but uh it doesn't have quite the Romance of the uh the champions league but nonetheless hope hopefully would can go on a similar similar run to that of a couple of year ago can you remember this time last year Paris sjain AC Milan bruscia Dortmund and this year could be Grimsby town I know I know I know but to be honest it would be nice to have easier draws this season we had the glitz and the glamour of all the big teams in Europe and then the big six in the Premier League last season so hopefully something a little bit easier an easier Run for the lads so we don't have to play all the B the big names every game uh something like the last run what was it was it tramier was started away we went one n down in that we went one nil down in that game didn't we I think we did you remember who scored the two goals that W it for Newcastle right now Chris would Chris would got one who got the other oh this is good question because I got told to put me phone away I was in Portugal uh on a meal out and apparently the whole restaurant was looking at us because I was watching the game on my phone so I got told to turn it off total shot in the do uh Murphy no was the captain jamals Oh jamals yeah yeah but big big ground for a league two stage in De tram was there also in the draw this evening we'll get the numbers up very very shortly but yeah the draw is about to start about 10 o00 10:00 10:05 after Leeds United versus midb they currently 1 n to B that just scored within the last five minutes Calo the former Newcastle United goalkeeper conceding one it was a good finish I think was proun it's D steel for middlesburo but yeah B beaten leads at this moment in time whole W Sheffield Wednesday too the latest score as well so sheffy wday could be potentially another team that Newcastle could face in the second round draw we will get those numbers for you any second now in terms of who newas United could face because it is still regionalized T we have got North we have got South so there's 26 teams that will end up being by the end of this evening as as the two games we've mentioned and 24 in the South Newcastle cannot face anybody in the South so they can't face Bournemouth Birmingham city Brighton just to name a few these are the teams that they can face though so number one is barnesley number two is Barrow number three is Blackburn always we get Blackburn in most competitions number four was Blackpool um lovely August evening in Blackpool that could be that could be absolutely Sensational Andy well I have to say how have knam forest and Lester snuck themselves into the north that's what I want to know about what about wolves wolves are in the north yeah what what's going on there who who who decides this who sat down at the efl and gone right Midlands upwards is is North there been another goal Ellen RH leads United against middlesbor I can see Dan barazer he's a middlesbor player and he's celebrating because middlesbor just gone two nil up so it could be a tin tease Derby on the cards at this moment in time but we'll continue with the numbers uh We've mentioned black barow Blackpool number four Balton wanders number five Burnley number six Derby County number seven Don cter Rovers number eight number nine it's ever Andy that be um probably one to avoid yeah have it in a way would be probably one to avoid wouldn't it yeah uh I mean gerson's never a great place to go especially last season but season before that we took the absolute Mi down there isach dancing around the defense and just it'd be like almost sun and way again this season wasn't it it's just it's just that rivalry there I can't remember where it's born from but it's it's here nonetheless and it's just if we've got to go and beat them we've got to go and beat them but to be honest for me just having a brief look over the teams there's teams that we've had the kind of little special moments in in the cup against you know Blackburn when you think of Ben off as wonder goal the one he had before the uh the Bolton the Bolton game later that season and then you've got Preston in there which in the championship season I remember we absolutely battered them at home in the cup and I remember me Ro dancing in front of the strawberry corner on fire that was a good night so uh couple of teams in there I I wouldn't mind a couple of couple that I'd rather avoid yeah certainly so Evon number nine Fleetwood town at number 10 Grimsby number 11 harut town just up the road well down the road rather they're number 12 Huddersfield Town they're number 13 and middleb through again here I might just stick with it oh what such a heavy touch oh that would have been a good finish sounds like you're it sounds like you're watching the right game M Johnny I've had Atlanta on in the background is absolutely zil chaping apart from the goal real scored literally as we went live yeah certainly we'll go through the rest of the numbers very very shortly 14ers leester City I'd rather avoid that as well but keep your can it be Andy that we're coming into the second round and you and SL call get past the first round how embarrassing well I know especially against a team that's literally just sucked their manager after the first game of the season I mean you've got to think that was a decision a decision made before the uh the first kicked off but to to lose against a team that have gone into the season thought you know what we'll give him one game sack him and then the uh the caretaker goes and beat Su than the cops it's just funny anytime they slip up because you know after after the first game against car the the bandwagon they were all jumping on and hey hey this is our year we we're going to do it here and you know what give it a couple of month L be in the bin they'll be down the bottom half of the championship table be honest I can't wait for it yeah definitely John says hi Jen surely the aim is to win this I totally agree we've got to be targeting a competition like the caribo cup I think it's actually our best chance to win a competition this year I think the FA Cup just because it's later on the the bigger teams seem to not necessarily take it more seriously but towards that back end they may play a stronger team whereas in the caribo cup we've seen over the years like Manchester City's and Chelsea and arsenals do get you know we beat Manchester City last year in this in the third run if you remember uh wild dead wolf High all craigle I hope we get barcel now that would be something that would be hell of a draw could you imagine Barcelona are they in the northern section or we don't know we don't know spudley Dudley what a name spudley Dudley home the MS uh the draw is about 10 o'clock just just after 10 o'clock and your right Woodly Dudley boret do look like they're beating leads leads or well do dare say it leads are Fallen apart again again again can you believe it and Andy obviously we've mentioned a couple of teams like the Premier League teams everon leads not on Forest could it be an Elliot Anderson derby um you want to be avoid avoiding Premier League sites particularly away from home because it's not ideal is it no it's not and it's it's always nice when we get the the lower league sides mainly for for them for them you know this is what Cup competitions are about for them one coming to like a a big Premier League ground and two getting a a split of the split of the revenue which helps them out massively I see as K mbapp is just nicked his first competitive goal for Real Madrid the man that was pocketed by Jamal LEL at s James Park he forest just purely because I think Elliot Anderson would be coming out with a point of proof straight away uh and it just screams Elliot Anderson scoring and Chris Wood scoring so Forest is probably the team there to to avoid for me do you know what it is I've just got back you know that the ad was out yesterday with the the Kate and Ellie Anderson on it in the video but it didn't show it for years reasons and you know that know the song we'll meet together again Elliot Anderson will meet together again potentially in the caraval cup second round draw Andy oh look at that oh Leon Leon versus Northern team second round is uh the same as well so the north will take on North team Southern will take on Southern team so we couldn't play way Rooney's Plymouth for example or Birmingham city but birmingham's probably closer than wolves but wolves are nordon yeah I know what you're thinking it's a bit all over the place and we've still got love heart as well how nice is that and we'll somewhere anywhere in the region of 10 million uh pounds would have been fine I would have happily to beon ripped hands off for that and by the sounds of it it was around the 9 million Mark and look it looks like he's rejected it so whether he's looking for a move somewhere else or what but just it is the right time to move him on for me and just because what I don't think what we promised that I just think everyone's alluded to that Marquee signing this summer being a right winger because it's a position we desperately need so it's going to be one to keep an eye on yeah certainly Ian says a generational Talent nobody had heard of it two years ago F off with regarding to G there is a picture of Migel on your screen of course um played against breast on Saturday today didn't really do a lot but n did many other really was just a bit of Harvey Barnes magic and that was about it on on Saturday but you'll not start on Saturday unless Jacob Murphy picks up an injury the next couple of days Andy but he's certainly a player to keep an eye on whether he leaves or not because if Newcastle have started negotiations with another club I know it's obviously not gone through it's so it obviously suggests to the player side of things that he seress to requirements in some capacity yeah and I don't think the club have been overly kind of discreet about the alar Ron's the player they're looking to shift on this summer I mean we're look to shift them off in the January and it still seems that seems to be what the case is so again it just seems to be on the player side of things he's obviously not keen on Saudi obviously not being keen on the uh the move to to Charlotte so whether he's he's happy here and want to stay or or whether he uh or whether he's he's he's wanting to away we we'll uh we'll see yeah certainly um I was going to say say you're a fan of Charlotte but um we'll not get you in trouble not tonight anyway and spudly Dudley says I think we can the same screenshot of his his stats compared to Fabian CH today and it's just when you look at it from and yes I know he smiles and I know he works really hard and he runs and chases his head around the pitch but just at this level and the level where I want to achieve we need to be having a lot more output coming coming out from from the right hand side especially when you you compare it to to Gordon on the left and even Barnes I mean Murphy is coming off with a brilliant preseason and probably one of the most outstanding players of our our preseason coming into this season's Premier League um but just we need to shift on M and bring in a better starting option I really like Murphy to be honest I'm probably Murphy's biggest fan apart from that uh Twitter account that's solely dedicated to him um but just we we need like kind of a big star on the right hand side as well we do and I think obviously at this moment in time it it I wouldn't say there's one name in particular that's standing out for me I have to be honest n Mada AK has been heavily linked and alone with an obligation to buy has certainly been mentioned um we've also heard the likes of uh anthon Langer which obviously Chris W mentioned to Sam and I on the G of mull show we've also been hearing the likes of um I'm trying to think who the other player was off the top of my head um and brma from brenford you have very good good shows um I think and brma probably excites me the most out of those three um I think mw's attitude would be something I would be a bit yeah not not 100% happy with yeah well mentioned this the other night as well about M's attitude and it was just I don't know if I'm picking too much off that penalty incident where it was him Nicholas Jackson and Cole Palmer fighting over it even though you know Cole Palmer's designated penalty taker it just I I don't know and I don't feel like Chelsea's again I know we've signed livero leis Halland maybe G from there but at the minute that bringing a player in from that environment just doesn't seem like a good move to me I don't think it's it's a positive kind of Club to be at there's too many players there God knows what's going on behind the doors and what players are thinking for me there'll be players just m only signed there what was it last year and he's already by the sounds of it you know when these stories comes out about oh this players in XY Zs for sale that's usually coming from their Camp first to kind of look up what moves are available there for the players so for me just we need to be stay in the void stay in clear of any players from from Chelsea at least for this summer and for a little bit because it's just that club at the minute is just an absolute cess pit and we' we've seen the city kind of the city Co appeals are about to happen I think Chelsea it's it's only a matter of time before stuff starts coming out about them as well yeah certainly and we'll get a few more of your comments um drop this is the whole reason why man united ended up going over for M isn't it that Everton wanted was it 70 to 75 million they wanted for Bight and in total honestly I'd rather pay that for G than than which kind of tells you everything you need to know right now in terms of Newcastle in the transfer window is Paul Mitchell Under Pressure I I don't think he is because it's it's not just s that hasn't been as as busy um you know you look at Liverpool the their kind of budget is being exposed Again by failing to to bring in Zu meni uh and it seems like this window's really being a slow burner uh when you look at on the back of the Euros I mean apart from if if you're Chelsea um you you know bringing in a new director of football he was going to bring in a bunch of new targets with him in the first place and it was going to take time to kind of get negotiations going so I think I mean hopefully we're going to get busier as as this window comes to an end as is I think a lot of clubs will uh I think clubs that are kind of looking to not sell at the minute maybe because they're they're holding on um just seeing that most clubs aren't selling maybe get towards the end of the window think ah maybe maybe we do need to sell but I think the the most of this disappointment is is stemming from the the PSR deadline and and seeing Elliot Anderson being shuttled off and just how kind of dramatic it was I think people were thinking all right we've getting this kind of drama out the way going ahead it's all going to be easy saling we're going to bring x y and Zed in and I think because that hasn't happened natural frustrations broed from that and it's just I think we've just got to buy our time the deadline will come but I think we'll bring at least one or two in before before it does come yeah I hope so I think I still think that that will happen um but is going to be really really interesting to see what happens between now and the end of the window hopefully if one happens in one may happen um in in time uh soy says I still think there's a will where you could go for Bowen and it could be very quick in my opinion because if it was to happen they would have known already just can't see jar from West in Newcastle and he seems to he's just seen an mbappe goal or something no no I've I've switched over that was nearly uh the comeback started at Ellen rad there oh yeah I you know we've literally just brought in a new director of football and I guess I mean I kind of thought maybe him and Ashworth went getting on but that purely stemmed from when the whole man united stuff came came out and how naturally as a football manager didn't want any background distractions and he spoke on that and just said look we hope we can come to a a kind of resolution as as quickly as possible and it it went on for far to long you know and just hopefully now um we're getting something in place you know it wasn't just obiously Paul Mitchell coming in we've we've brought other other members of staff to kind of around management and how the the the performances are going so it's new I think it'll be new for him um but it'll happen we'll bring players in before the window closes we we've got to the the money's there for us to do so I think it's just they're working out between them who's the right option to go for the the market was always going to be inflated this summer always is after an International Tournament because it's not just been the Euros going on um obviously cup America has been going on as well notice Brighton haven't signed their latest kind of new multi h00 million pound from aquador yet so um it'll be it'll be last man he called y Min apparently app pretty good but I I'll I'll just say uh the last time I went to Portugal uh I was at sliden splash the water park amazing uh we signed um Alexander isak so maybe it's it's just going to take me going away on the 30th for uh us to bring our next Marque player in and uh I I'll head straight to the wall Park if that's what if that's what it's going to take but um no something big will happen it's it's got to and I'm I'm basing that of Nothing by the way I I can sit and talk for ages how much I hate these in the no count for the last thing I want to be known as is is someone that's just taking a stab on the dog um no it makes sense for a big sign to happen yeah certainly um still no word um Ian says why is it that we it takes us weeks to try and sign and play but some clubs only days um I think it comes down to money really I think I'll answer that one in the sense that you know you can see paor Mitchell have on your screen they've got to work together and they've only been you know together for like two or three weeks really you know they've been on a trip to Germany together they've been on a trip to Japan together and that's pretty much about it in terms of um getting to know each other so look it will be it will be very very interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks but I think it it's generally down to is the money right is the player available and is this is the club willing to sell the player and you look at Crystal Palace at this moment in time only one of those three things are working Palace I would say are willing to sell but the price isn't right and the player probably would like to go and from how everything sounds so maybe one or two of the threes are there but if you don't get them all right it takes a a little bit longer um we'll get the the ball numbers back on screen any moment now just for people that are joining us a little bit I for For Me Andy I want League one League two or lower end championship team at home because let's be honest we need to try and get the all the advantages we had some horrendous draws last year give me harri Grimsby at home let them have the big day out and take off you know take 3,000 up to level seven or whatever they want to do and we can have hopefully you know a nice three win at home and just bit to get to some of the Fringe players some minutes on the on the pitch is that too much to ask for Andy do you think well if we're going off last season I think it is you're asking for for maybe it's too much there Johnny but I have to say it's there there there to be pulled out in the draw a b at home's got to be a good one hasn't it I mean we had sun in away last season to to face them I mean I know it's it's just a derby by by terms of location but I think at home would would be a brilliant one in terms of ones I really don't want I've already said notam Forest but Chef wed is just it's a bogy game I don't want it I don't want them at home I don't want them away I just avoid Chef w at all costs for me as well cheffer W probably got one of the best up and cominging managers as well Danny R did a fantastic joke keep with cheff W up last season um obviously he got a win in the first weekend of the Season at home to Plymouth by four goal know now he's followed up with a 2-1 win against Hull in the cup they travel down the stadium a shite on Sunday they take on Sunland it's the early kickoff um but that will be interesting yeah I think for me someone like Everton wolves leester not even Forest away from home any of those that'll be really that'll be a shock and draw really the only thing I would say with any of the particular like s of Leicester or Nottingham Forest or anyone really like that they're going to make loads of changes because the car cups are not really a priority for them where for Newcastle really is it's a real chance yeah but but again that's the point where if we get a lower league side and you said it's it's their big deal so so they usually do put a good side out you know they want to P their fans are turning up because if it's at home for opposition and he's he's fit and ready Chuck him in just Chuck him in the deep end it's sometimes it's the best way for players to to kind of get the get the feedback and just put them in put them in I think it's better I'm sure it was it was Gary Lin I think said said it's easier to start the game coming back from an injury than to be introduced later on just because I think he said you get the ground not the draw we wanted is it really no it's one of the hardest you can physically get isn't it um I just hope our luck changes with the with the draws this season because if we get past Forest n hour look we'll probably get one of the clubs that have uh qualified for Europe so it is what it is you know what I mean I can't really twist it with it it's it's just frustrating it's but for us to look at that and think H we didn't really want Newcastle do you know what I mean so they look at that and think oh my God the last thing we want is Newcastle cuz let's Fe it everyone else in this draw doesn't want us no I think I think if I'm being honest Andy out of all the other teams if I was in a Newcastle fan all the other teams in terms of Premier League opposition or high championship teams would have been going yeah not Newcastle not Newcastle but it is not Forest versus Newcastle but again as I mentioned this I mentioned this to you before a forest will be thinking we'll be making loads of changes for that cuz cuz we don't want to be involved in a carabar we want to just stay up but we could have had a better draw yeah um I mean the good takeaway is we've had a decent rightward there as of recent but there's there's two names well two names put together that still haunt me to this day uh and get my blood boiling so every time we go down there I just want to Thum them and cuz they'll want to stop so it's a it's a long day to long night and you're probably not getting home realistically till 3: or 4 in the morning by the time any have know make you go to penalties so it's one of them youve got to take it Haven you yeah the game will take place the earliest is the Wednesday because Newcastle are are on the television on the Sunday against Bournemouth so it'll either be the Wednesday or the Thursday more likely to be the Wednesday would have thought I think it'll probably be chosen by Sky Sports considering the draws that have come out so not even for Newcastle the earliest will be the Wednesday the 28th of August which um I don't know if people want to put that in their Diaries that'll be the date that Newcastle will probably most likely to go and take on Forest um Newcastle take on Bournemouth um I'll try and find out who Forest have got second game of the season I know they're away from home though however I'll have a look while see chatt yeah if you don't mind Andy both teams will be away from home because Forest have got Bournemouth at home on the first day so an away fixture then Forest come back home Forest got a wait to tanar can play that game Andy because it's going to definitely be on the Wednesday the 28th um does he play I I think look it's the best opportunity to Chuck them in h against Premier League opposition if if if we've got the game done nice and early then yes I think it changes the kind of complex that I was talking about before where L I said if you've been up for a period of time sometimes I think because I remember now we was talking about Luke Shaw coming back in for England in the Euros that it's easier to come back in and start than it is to come back in when the game's
