Thousand Trails Oaks at Point South Savannah South Carolina #campgroundreviews

Introduction we're at Thousand Trails The Oaks Point South in yam South Carolina and this is a campground review stay to the end to find out our must do activities while here General Impressions this is a quiet and relaxed Campground in the woods with some nice trails near the water G site this is a mediumsized campground laid out in a grid style fashion but it's not your typical Thousand Trails first come General Impressions first serve they actually assign sites and you get a notification before you arrive we say in campsite 58 it's a gravel pull through site with sand and grass in between our campsite is fairly level we didn't require any leveling blocks so it's level left to right and Campground pretty much front to back as well most of the campsites here seem fairly level and it does have full hookups with 50 and 30 amp so # 50 we had a picnic table at our site and a fire ring/ grill combo they don't have a dump station here at the campground but they do offer propane refills they do have Wi-Fi here at the park it's at the clubhouse it is a whopping 1 megabit per second download Campsite speed and 4 megabits per second upload speed so you could use it for checking your email there won't be any streaming no we set up our starlink and it's definitely usable for some light streaming because of all the large trees your starlink reception is going to vary greatly from sight to site Verizon Wireless was much more respectable with A6 mbits per second down and 23 mbits per second up there was a distant hum some of road noise from time to time but otherwise it was a very quiet Campground amenity they have two sets of bathrooms and shower houses one on each side of the RV park the decor is a little bit out of date but they were very clean they smell clean too and they had dumpsters on either side of the park easily located as well the campground had three washers and four dryers at the clubhouse they were $2 each to wash and dry and they have a nice app to pay the CSC app allows you to both pay and monitor your laundry for when it's done they also allow for coin payment as well so if you prefer to use quarters you can still do that but they don't have a Amenities change machine here at the clubhouse it was a little bit difficult to locate it's actually on the back side of the clubhouse and at night time that area can get kind of dark they do have a pool it was closed for the season when we were here and they do not have a playground they do have an office work facility inside the clubh house they have table and chairs along with couches and TV plenty of place to gather and play cards they do offer horseshoes basketball and mini golf of course you know I'm a sucker for mini golf they don't have AstroTurf on the mini golf course anymore but they painted it lots of fun colors and it's free it's a very fast course though this Campground offers a ton of activities whether you like karaoke campfires coffee chats Bingo or rock Dog Friendliness painting they've got you covered they do offer complimentary coffee in the clubhouse it tells you every morning how good you look we didn't rank it however but if Camp Store you'd like to check out the coffees we did rank check out the video that I'm linking up here they have a 2 and 1/2 Mile Loop of trails and about 1 mile around the lake it was really nicely cleared and a lot of fun to walk the Camp Staff Interactions/Additional Information trail was wide enough for golf carts and ebikes to ride on and there were Gators and turtles in the lake lots of wildlife to look at dog friendliness there's a large offleash dog area at the front of the park near the clubhouse and it has 1-Star Ratings Confirmed? or Busted! its own pickup station there are also multiple pickup stations located throughout the park and the most important part is they were fully Stu Camp store they didn't really have a camp store per se but they did have a Shelf with some Necessities including the all important s'mores kits some ice cream fire I not fire they don't sell fire I'll say the wood if you just say fire next time fire wood you say fire I say you say fire wood fire wood Camp staff interactions we interacted with several members of the staff they were all super friendly and they also send you texts that let you know what's going on in the campground if you had a question you could simply text them and they would respond back very quickly they worked really hard to make our stay enjoyable additional information so the closest Dollar General here is about 8 m away there are a couple couple of convenience stores right outside the park there is a Waffle House a Wendy's and some other various fast food restaurants MD's and Subway about 30 minutes is a Walmart and various other shopping opportunities because we're Thousand Trails members we were able to stay here for free however the cost is $73 per night that is really on the highend for us like we would expect really like Resort uh amenities at that rate we try not to spend more than $50 a night it was very clean and it was very enjoyable but $73 a night is a bit high for us now the moment that you've been waiting for our must see and must do while you're here but before we get to that please make sure to like And subscribe it really helps us out it lets us know that you like this content and it makes sure that you don't miss another one of our Love it or Hate it videos Mike what was yours Caroline Cider Company is 11 M away it has things like different ciders coffees every homemade canned item you could imagine they had soups and dip mixes baked goods and homemade pies homemade fudge and boiled peanuts yeah we tried the boiled peanuts I'm not sure I'm a fan don't take my Southern card away that I don't have my favorite place was the waterfront park in Port Royal they had a boardwalk down by the water ice cream shops little shops to go and and pick up chachkies and things they had a playground for the kids plenty of tables and benches to sit at and they had swings by the water I loved that one night we had ice cream and swings by the water it was amazing check out these other videos we have Fire H fire wood
