talk about that a little bit more as we go on but unfortunate um we couldn't get the win um especially going against a division opponent um Chargers every time you already know that rivalry is it runs it runs deep so um they did a good job we give them credit and uh things we can learn from so we watch the film um I mean a few times on the plane on the bus back you know bus ride back a lot of good things a lot of things we can improve on so moving forward you know we don't want to live in extremes I think that's what you know the nature of the Beast is you know you win one week you're going to the Super Bowl you lose it's the end of the world and the world's crashing down we don't we don't operate that way we just got to find a way to respond and I believe we have the team and culture to do that next week and uh we look forward to it so um got to give credit to the Chargers they got the win but you know they're a division opponent we'll we'll see them again at the end of the year so um hopefully that game um has some implications behind it as well but we have a long time till we get there so um we're focused on the now um and that's that's all that matters but in other news like I said it's season two we got a little shift of energy shift of uh uh how do I say the shift of uh what's the word Darion [ __ ] maybe a Supporting Cast maybe a Supporting Cast you know we got some a little different Dynamic we we we have got some new faces new chairs faces new people you know in the front office you could say um in football terms but big shout out to John Shahi the full send hold Midwest 52 degrees I I even hit the Cider Mill Saturday before college football got me my donut I did it's not even October I put my Uggs on D I was ready to rock you're you didn't I don't own any but I know that Darion does yes he does house slippers you're going out to chipot wearing some Uggs I see you in public wearing ug boots I might have to question what's what we got going on here I'm not going to lie fit Sunday it was here it was here it was I mean 50 degrees we we were outside on the patio with a Fire TV mounted I mean it was it was going so it feels good it feels good to have football back my book isn't happy with me I took some Els but that being said we started off with college football right I everybody you guys all tuned in didn't you of course 100% what were some of the what were some of the biggest biggest games that just jumped out to you obviously the the most common is the NIU taking down Notre Dame Mac boys representing once again getting getting the notoriety that they deserve finally I think you know and and you're seeing a lot more of it it's more common nowadays I feel like and this is why you Circle back to the Chris kraton episode we talked about with the 12 team playoff this is why they need to let a ma team and these other guys in the what conference is that grp group of five or fantastic five as Chris Chris CR likes to say they need to be put into the playoff search and just be able to possibly knock somebody off I mean this is proof of it right here no 100% they went on the road too held them to 14 that's impress impressive I mean there was so many good games though too I mean Michigan Texas goes in there and smacks them which was R them I wouldn't say it was a shocker but at the same time I I thought it was going to be a better game than that but Texas dominated from literally start impressive for sure Michigan they got to figure out the quarterback room dude they got to they can't score points yeah they're struggling right now and sarkeesian is a dog big shout out to Sark he's good friend of mine dude's a beast that off is fun to watch like they get created I mean it helps they have two fantastic quarterbacks but but just watching how they do their screens and they just move the ball around is it's it's iconic they're going to they're going to make a run this year yeah they're going to be a problem that's college football's got some great offensive minded guys obviously dor down at Bama then you have sarkeesian and then honestly Lane kein look what they do they drop 75 points week one and then they did it again or they dropped a lot of points this week with dart at quarterback they're a tough team dude Old Miss is nice Old Miss is is another sleeper they were almost almost my pick this year but I'm number one team right now I you know I got to say this I grew up like in the Buckeye so I like what I'm seeing from the Buckeyes too so I'm might have to show some love to the Buckey I I believe they're going to make the playoff as well no doubt in my mind I hope no doubt in my mind they're gonna win the Big 10 this year they're taking down Michigan I just put that right now I think they're the best team in the Big 10 and Smith The Freshman receiver for Ohio State he's disgusting he's disgusting don't let USC come in and start smacking the Buckey for that big 10 Championship they are also a team to look out for though honestly came out let me talk about that real quick I was I was Bamboozled by USC last year I watched them and they were just so small up front so small across the board just getting ran over by everybody and then I turn on the film and I see them they're playing LSU and watching the game and they're literally moving the line of scrimmage on the defensive line and I'm like what the F's going on and they start advertising they gain 1,400 pounds as a team bro they got some mammoths walking around now and like you think that's something that you want to advertise before the game like Hey we're we're not what we used to be we we lifted you know we got we got some big transfers no so I take LSU and I get embarrassed I I won't make that mistake again I got uscb in Ohio State yeah I will say this LSU definitely I mean they handed that game to to USC but oh yeah it was I mean they had that game in the bag but USC canall though they like you said they needed to get better in the trenches and they clearly addressed it so it'll be interesting bro the whole big town I mean there's what 18 teams in there now it's the big 18 it's insane I don't know there's so many teams now it's ridiculous bro and and honestly I'm a little uh worried about Oregon they've just slid by barely again beat Boise by three points they barely beat Idaho week one and they got what's his name Gabriel the transfer from okoklahoma is or QB but I'll tell you a team low key I almost took and I was like nah they're not high-profile enough for us to be if you're choing Texas and you're choosing the U I was going to choose Syracuse Kyle Kyle uh mcord whatever mord is on a mission they're balling and Georgia te is not you can pick them they're both in the AC I'd season progresses but now let's shift gears a little bit let's shift gears we start off the the the week here with with uh NFL and Brazil what talk to me about this what are your guys's thoughts about these International games the conditions down in Brazil you know I know they talked a lot about the players can't leave the hotel with their phones on them and there's a big security risk like from your guys' perspective talk to me about that is it worth it I mean I understand what they're trying to do what is it trying to do it's you know you want to take the NFL International and you got basketball you you got guys in the NBA that'll go to China and they'll have a celebration for a whole week if they got a player like I just saw a video of I think it was James Harden and a couple other players went to China for like a international like pickup game and they have this big old thing for for Harden down there and it's like bro he gets off the bus and there's thousands of people swarming him and like so the game over there as far as basketball goes is like basketball's fully international sport you know mean you watch the Olympics all the teams Argentina all these teams can ball football is a is the number one sport in America but nobody else really plays it you know what I mean overseas so the NFL I understand what they're doing they're trying to take it International build the sport build the brand totally get it from a business standpoint um the only thing that's like mindblowing to me is the fact that they can't get the field conditions right every time they do like an offsite game like the Super Bowl a couple years ago they do like you know they change it up they have all this [ __ ] all over the field all the paint and stuff you got guys slipping and the biggest game literally ever and you have dudes falling all over the field and then you go to Brazil and it's the same exact thing like people falling left and right left and right Jordan love gets hurt like there's a lot of [ __ ] that it's like there's a lot of risk you know there's obviously reward but there's a lot of risk that comes with it so and the travel on top of it and the security risk like 10 hours yeah like I I know for a fact like Dana talked to me about about this but like he's like Brazil he's Brazil is one of the countries that like he has to be fully fully fully fully on point at all times like you can't just go out and about like it's it's really dangerous in certain spots so I don't know there's a lot of risk but I guess there's I mean the NFL is willing to take the you know the reward part of it so we'll see yeah I mean I think it's cool it's awesome uh but I almost feel like you have to choose which cities right if you're going to go International that it's it's going to be for us you know for the NFL to represent um I feel like England London all that stuff it's a fun city uh I don't know though I agree with Max it's just the field conditioning is tough because a you're really not putting the best product out there if they're sliding around like jier Alexander for example he played really well against AJ brown but he and he had a pick he could had two more picks if he didn't fall and then there's times where aj Brown could have probably scored another time or two out there if they didn't fall so um and then the worst part like Max said all those those injuries but I do understand what they're trying to do um I don't know they'll maybe leave Brazil for UFC fighting and maybe not for uh for NFL but I do love it I mean I get what they're doing that's about as much as I can say on it yeah it's fair are you how long do they tell you guys in advance who's going right like do you guys know the year before since the I mean you can't just spring an international game on a franchise no definitely you can't spring it on but I I don't know the exact time they tell them but I I think it's some point I would assume it's probably around OTAs when you tell them okay um you tell the team like listen you're GNA have your International game things like that so um I know the Jags like every year they go to uh London is their owner some type of connection there um but yeah I mean we I mean as as our team personally we haven't gone International since my rookie year we went to London that was the one time we got to go but um yeah it's it's an interesting deal like I I get what they're doing but I don't know yeah I all right we got the uh the new kickoff rule we what are your thoughts on that do you guys think there's going to be more big plays I saw there was one that was taken back to the house today we had a 96 yard uh kick return for the Cardinals in the fourth quarter made it a one possession game before that I was thinking this was going to be a sham I didn't think that there was going to be any any big plays anything of that nature but I mean that was that was key that was in a big time moment what your guys thoughts on it you can hit it bro I like it man I I like it already um obviously was something they took from the XFL um just more opportunities I don't know what the exact numbers are but I guarantee they've already they brought probably brought the ball out and returned it this weekend 20 more times than they probably did last year week one so yeah um I that part's fun so I I it just gives guys more opportunities to make plays one to it's better field position so it's gonna everything that you see that the NFL is doing is just it's structuring towards points and towards the offense and them being able to you know fantasy football is a big deal now obviously it has been but just they're trying to score as many points as possible so I feel bad for guys like Max look at what they're doing uh the legal formation can we please talk about that really quick how many times did they call that for the first two days like 20 times yeah I know it's insane like the NFL when there's a new rule they overemphasize it I feel like the first month like insanely and then it starts kind of like becoming a normal thing and they settle in and they don't get as picky with it it was like the targeting [ __ ] when it first came out like it was a targeting every two seconds you felt like every time you watch the game but it's an adjustment for both sides the refs you know what I mean are now told Hey listen if there's any so they want to be on point and make the right calls and then as players it's like it's an adjustment you know what I mean it's you have to change the way you approach things so yeah I think it's it's like anything else you know the tackles are having to be a little bit more strict with where they align because I mean some of them dudes like there's certain guys out there that really push the line and they you know they got to be a little bit more cautious about it I'm not mad about it being a d I'm not mad at all about it oh I'm not mad at all about it so yeah at the end of the day you know it's just that's how it is anytime there's something new it just seems kind of extreme at first and then it kind of all you know Blends together and becomes normal I think that's the biggest thing of the kickoff for me it's like I'm so used to like the original I've been seeing the same kickoff since I was in peeee football you know what I mean so just seeing like the kicker awkwardly alone and then it's just like it's weird to start a game like that it definitely looks weird but it'll become normal you know here soon for sure it's it's weird because when you go to college football they're back at the traditional kickoff so it's like I'm curious if that's going to be the next move for college football or if they'll continue to stay with the old traditional kickoff yeah system so I feel like they'll switch soon lowkey because they're already doing the headphones and being able to talk to the players um which is a cheat code dude by the way it doesn't go away till 15 seconds is left on the play clock it's like McVey with Goff back in the day those those OC's can literally tell you hey they're cover two they're going or you know they're rotating here let's look over here at the backside post that's like having the keys to the test dude so it's good that college is kind of stepping up in that way too I just hope that adopts the whole targeting uh ideology that the NFL does I'm sick of seeing kids getting thrown out of games for the next half on a flimsy flimsy hit right maybe hit him with the shoulder and it Nick their their face mask like they have to check the box of the rules like was it launch and crowning the helmet defenses player all that stuff just just hit them with the 15 do it like a strike system where maybe if they have three or two and it's consistent then you can suspend them but seeing guys have to go out on the last play of the game trying to lay it out for the the team and now they're suspended for the first half of the next game [ __ ] that's [ __ ] I agree 100% agree all right the uh Guardian caps why am I see why like why are we seeing that so much what what's the deal with that you're going to wear no it freaks me out no yeah I'm not a I just look so ugly on top of people like in a game with a big ass Guardian C know the leagues G be like this guy but at the end of the day um they are I mean it's it's like I mean we talk about these new rules and new things like this is not a rule I wear a guardian cap in practice every day but in a game I mean that just it just looks weird I'm not gonna lie I don't I don't like the look of it at all so it's not clean it's just not clean yeah it looks just strange is it noticeably like different yeah well I just seen a couple guys like I know Jonathan Taylor Ward in preseason they showed a picture of it I'm like bro you well not even that like even just wearing it around is it is it a marginal difference from when you do a head-to-head Collision cuz like in practice probably not going to go a million miles an hour like you are in a game but is it is it noticeable you I just go no but like I don't know like I I don't know I don't really notice the like I can't say I noticed the difference like I mean as a player it's like I'm so used to just having a helmet on you know what I mean so like Guardian cap I don't even recognize that it's on top of my head at practice I just play football you know what I mean so it's I really can't say I can't answer that like rer that the new helmets they got are just as good or work the same exact way as the guardian caps I don't know is it the alien looking helmets with the wide open you know there's definitely yeah there's there's some definitely new helmets like the uh yeah the new uh the ones that like KD wears it's like a he has a rhinoceros helmet on there's a few guys in the league that wear it but there's different versions of it like I like the vicey the one that I wear it's not as extreme it's a little bit more round hold up I went blurry on um it's a little bit more round but it's like super light and uh you know shout out to them as well um completely off topic but yeah they uh big shout out to viy they made my my face mask that we created last year and they made an official vicey face mask so I can wear it in the league now so big shout out to viy they're uh they're awesome great I'm a fan now oh yeah they take all the way yeah shout out to John Miranda too our equipment guy he was the one that behind the scenes putting pulling the strings making it work we kind of had some other brands that were like bidding they're like oh no we make the face mask or whatever and I'm like well I love I like the vicey helmet so yeah let's see what they're talking about we got these other dudes trying to do it and then we went to them they're like we'll make it right now so I was like these are my type of people so they did a great job shout out to them no more letter no more letters no no no no we're wearing that face mask you look like a I love you so much but you look like a dork without the without the uh without your triangle one on you look normal now you look like you're actually ready to murder out there which is what we need on every Sunday every holy Lord day 100% 100% I'm just waiting for the visor to stay on one good black visor I wear it in warm ups I know just one game it'll stay on first drive yeah Max do you it's admit it kind of sucks playing with the with the visor I'm so not a visor guy I sweat too much I sweat too much I don't want my Envision my vision bothered at all yes so that bothers me I like and you can't the only thing you breathe through is like the face mask how to be able to fully breathe you know I'm out there you're a at uh breakfast I walked down they're like you see Dak just got paid and he got a bag a bag he got 250 and like basically all guaranteed 21 gu big shout out to him bro that's incredible do you think that's what jamar's looking for like what's his whole situation because that's unique you can give a player's perspective on what's going on over there yeah I I just feel like it's different every world a little bit here uh we got we got the whole Patriots situation do we think that the Patriots made the right decision we have young quarterbacks that you know they get drafted to a franchise and then they're immediately thrown into the fire they need to produce and then their feet are held to the fire if they don't Patriots took a little bit of a alternate uh solution there jacobe brassette is their starting quarterback there's a little controversy a couple weeks back do we think that they they made the right decision I do I mean I do Max I I don't I I'm sure I know what you think but uh yeah I just think Drake May is just not there yet I think belich just broke it down on his show Coach or whatever the hell it is that he's got going on but he broke it down the best he pretty much just said that there's a lot of mentally that he just doesn't understand yet it's going to probably be a few years for Drake that is and um a guy like jacobe I just think he's a locker room guy like everywhere he goes people love him he performs everywhere he goes and I feel like he really truly never gets a real opportunity and it when he does it seems to get cut short for another younger guy that's next in line right so I don't think as long as he stays healthy they have to worry about that I think sitting Drake May through the year is probably part of their plan um whether they say that or not but no I think they're making the right decision and uh it's a good thing for them because that position has been a a tough one for them for quite some time if uh if anything ever goes wrong in the Patriots Jacob's more than welcome to come on back to Cleveland because we need him you got got Jam I want be positive Daran it's week one did you see what I saw you didn't see what I saw you plays hard he he's consistent I feel like I think they're making the right decision you got a really talented young quarterback you know Drake Mays obviously can play at a he's going to be a really good quarterback one day but when you got a guy like jacobe as you know your vet arguable borderline starter kind of quarterback that you know can actually win games not just you know go in there and hand the ball off like you I think you fully got to utilize that it's like you see momes had to do it Rogers Jordan love you've seen it over and over again letting the young guy sit behind a legitimate starter and learn and then they come in and they they don't miss a beat and I think you know they're doing it smart they did it with Brady you know Brady is the first example of that they had Drew blo starting at first and then he came in and was was ready to go so yeah I think they I think they made the right decision for sure definitely and last QB talk we got here who saw what boy Carr did today with the Saints CC anybody what were those what were those numbers I mean he had a field day 19 to 23 200 yards and three Tes 85 qbr out there today it was just an easy nice walk in the park for him though truthfully even I mean the Panthers are so bad they're so bad they literally might not win one game I'm serious I'm serious they unfortunately might not and it's not even Bryce Young's fault it's just that I think they're just missing a few pieces a few I mean Derek bald out to answer your question um Derek did really well um I've seen a couple of his passes and also big shout out to Foster morau our boy catching a cold ass touchdown he dunked that he got his rib shattered still caught it um baller so yeah big shout out um you know to the guys former Raiders balling out I I got to catch a little bit of you know a couple highlights things like that and also I got to see another former Raider my boy Mack Hollands uh caught a touchdown for the bills as well so you know the boys were were out there balling this weekend there's no doubt yeah love that love it all right let's switch gears a little bit and talk about uh talk about today week one for the Raiders we talked about the league we talked about college football so I know we got the Condor cartel real Central to uh the the Raiders so let's talk about uh a little bit of a recap from the game um I don't any of the major key moments uh that you guys had seen coming out any of the game plan uh how the game started I know it was a little bit of a slugfest hot start your third your second down tackle and we'll get into the next play uh in the next segment but just talk to me through the little bit of the game and and from your perspective on how it went yeah you know we like you said we started out hot you know we were flying around I mean the first half we played really well defensively um just as an overall team they were just self-inflicted wounds you know what I mean it was a couple plays like the one the long run with JK um got to you know give him his props like come back from injury and he bought out I I'll give it to him um but there's self-inflicted things like plays we could have made and should have made and we were on point majority of the time but this National Football League you got to be on point all day and there was a couple little things just leaky little things in the Run game where you know they just happen to capitalize on those moments where we had a little slip up and and they made you know made a couple plays so I mean overall like beside you take out a couple of those plays um I feel like we played pretty damn good football on defense but um it wasn't good enough you know what I mean we we hold oursel to a super high standard and we know we could be better that's what you know that What Hurts the Most about losing the game it's like especially when it's self-inflicted [ __ ] and mental [ __ ] instead of the physical part it's like that's where it hurts because we know we can make those plays and be you know put oursel in better situations so yeah overall I just feel like as a team that's you know we we had too many mistakes and you know right before half you know I don't know what happened um it was like the fumble I don't know if Garner slipped out his hand or whatever but like that situation then boom it makes it a onepoint game right before half and we were like dominant you know what I mean we're dominating the the first half and then they you know we come out we would have had the ball up four you know what I mean it's like little [ __ ] like that really matters in in this league and um they made the right you know the big plays of the big big moments and you know overall um we didn't play terrible but we didn't play to our standard and that's why we lost so um unfortunate you know it's against the division opponent it those matter you know big time and we know we're going to see him again um so we'll keep you know keep all that in the back pocket um it's week one but at the end of the day you know we got to respond and that's you know our culture our team you know we know we're built the right way we just got to respond and capitalize in those big moments so um moving forward you know it's not the end of the world you know it sucks I hate [ __ ] losing everybody hates losing um but yeah we all got to be better including myself and uh we plan on doing that so it's going to be you know we're looking forward to next week yeah Max I want to ask you too bro um obviously it's just everyone's going to be curious about it but for you the defense is picking up right where they left off last year it feels like right Pat Graham you guys are obviously just kicking up another notch you have another Christian Wilkins is in there now with you guys another another piece to the puzzle so to speak um and you guys obviously work really well together so for the people Raider Nation Condor cartel what have you seen in this offense though through training camp through the preseason even throughout today that you have confidence in them that they're gonna be able to turn this around and that you guys are going to have those answers here soon yeah um you know you see I hate using the word potential but like you see the the potential and what we did like if you look at Garner's numbers like Garner was playing good football it's just a couple good you know a couple moments they made a couple plays and we didn't capitalize you know what I mean and then we're driving the ball and we had a fumble you know what I mean and the fumble right before the half like little [ __ ] um you know that just got away from us and I 100% I believe in Garner I believe in zamir I believe in all those guys and everyone in that in this building believes in those guys and on the defensive side is the same thing like not everyone played perfect not everyone played the best version of themselves but it is week one I'm not making excuses but there's film to learn from there's a lot of good things but there's a lot of things that we got to improve on and we know going into week one there's a lot of question marks um and this the first game you know we're playing on the road um big shot to Raider Nation Raider Nation showed out always um but there's just things that we need to improve on and you know the offense I believe in we got a ton of weapons we have a brand new OC we have a new quarterback we got new old lineman new weapons like it it takes time and if a couple things went our way you know uh a couple things you know went more in our way this game we could have won that game you know what I mean I felt like it never felt like we were out of the game ever it never felt like we were going to lose like I thought we were going to win 100% um but we just you know they made a couple more plays uh than us couple things went their way and you know Unfortunately they got the win so uh we believe in our guys we believe in OC we believe in everybody we just got to go out there and do it and uh you know that's that's the beauty of this league it's every week you know you have another opportunity so when you lose it's the extremes you know what I mean everyone's oh my God it's over the season's over the ground you know everything the world split the world's ending it's over with and then you respond and you go win and then it's the complete opposite you know what I mean so we can't we're not going to live in extremes you know we're going to show up to work tomorrow and get and get after and get ready so you know we're we're looking forward to that yeah you obviously would weren't able to see but uh halftime Harbaugh was given pretty much you a lot of praise and seeing that you tore up their entire offense in their plan throughout that first half and uh you know you're basically the reason why behind that so I want to ask you Max what was it like just going against a Jim Harbaugh you know offense and team and uh what was like what was there any difference with that team that you fa today than in the years past and uh just what was the matchup like for you guys today yeah for sure you know it's it was uh it's a lot different you know what I mean it's a lot different uh every time you got a new coach in regime that comes in you bring in Greg Roman uh who's a run heavy type you know coach um and he did it a long time in Baltimore um they're going to have a totally different scheme you know what I mean in in the past you're playing the Chargers and you got uh Joe Lombardi as the OC you know they're going to air that out 50 times you know what I mean today it was a lot of quick game uh up front we did a lot of things you know staying in our lanes containing getting our hands up things like that and we had to stop the run and like we were doing that and we did it over and over and over again we got short fields we got St we got STS but then like you said as the game went on they made a couple plays and theyve found you know they split us in a couple times on runs and like that's a [ __ ] that can't happen it's unacceptable you know what I mean and that's what we have to learn from to move forward so um yeah it's a totally totally different way of how they play now um and it's a different challenge so we're looking forward to it and um you know they got us this time but you know we'll we'll definitely see him again I know that for sure it's good to see though too like you said you're not going to get down about one game cuz man it just it's just getting started and you guys are you can tell you guys are moving in the right way too so I'm excited to see what you guys are going to do for the the upcoming season and huge task this week for you guys um but Max I gotta ask you how was it out there today it didn't seem like you were getting many as many double teams so that's uh that's a good thing right you got to kind of play a little more free it felt like at least from the outside perspective do you feel like that way yeah you know there was some uh I mean like I said when you're running a lot of quick game the ball's out fast you know what I mean so they knew that um you know they gave me some different looks for sure I had to move around a lot um I was moving on both sides stunting um just trying to you know be as creative as we as we possibly can and I feel like we did a good job you know I I'm whatever I got to do to help us win that's that's really all that matters and um you know Malcolm obviously unfortunately got hurt this week too so I had to move around you know play on the right and you know Malcolm plays on the right often too so you know majority of the time so there's a lot more moving parts and pieces and tyre went down early in the game so you know guys just having to step in and do some different roles so you know at the end of the day like I think I don't even know what did they end up throwing for they threw for like 140 or something I tell you right now they didn't throw the ball your secondary that was the other thing I was going to say secondary played really well yeah like they threw for 144 and I I don't remember a time where Herbert was really patting theall you know what I mean there was a couple times like the second time I thought it was a strip sack and he somehow flung it out to the flat I got up I'm like oh [ __ ] and but like I was there so fast and the ball was still out like there's a couple times where you know it just it just seemed like the ball was getting out fast and Fast but that's just you know it's part of the game and like you said Herbert I'm used to him throwing the ball 50 times he threw for 144 yards like I don't think that's happened in his career so um yeah bro every week's different you know it's the NFL so we just got to you know learn from it and keep moving forward we did get one we're in the big sack big sack come on big sack give me that big sack show me the third and four yeah first drive of the game you're you're you're hanging the big sack out after that nice tackle for loss you had there in the on second down talk to us about what uh what worked for you yeah I lined up on the right side um which is you know everyone knows I like the left side so I'm on the right side we had a little little stunt action going on uh stunted inside felt Adam going up field so I went behind him and then the center came to me and I had to beat the center so beat the center across his face and then uh unfortunately our boy Tyrie jumped on a pump fake and Herbert stepped up and I was coming 100 miles an hour through the a gap and uh you know literally form tackled like a linebacker and just held on to that so uh you know got him and uh yeah starting the season with a sack is Big um there was definitely some other opportunities I felt like um you know I could have gotten home and could have got a sack you know the ball coming out couple other rushes I wish it could have back but um all good film to learn from and uh you know for me it's just more motivation you know at the end of the day you know my goals um period I want to be the best in the world at what I do and um you know I feel like I did a lot of good things few plays I wish I could have back but at the end of the day um overall I feel like you know we started fast and you know we're going to keep you in better as the season goes on hell yeah no that I mean that was huge I can't tell you how many texts we got I'm sure broken you as well that was quick that didn't take long here we go that was good that was good you got the boys pump for it so well how good does it feel Max though for you to get the first one to at the same time like not saying that you're out here just wanting only sacks and searching for him but just as a player right it's like any other position it's nice to throw your first touchdown it out of the way so to speak do you feel that way like a little relief and now you can just kind of go out there and flow well I mean it's I mean the last time I got to sack quarterback was in January so it's a long time you know what I mean Marinelli he texted me he text me all the time like literally all off season everything he every sentence he ends with you got zero sacks get the work you know what I mean he always says that everyone starts at zero so he always reminds me of that so going into week one you want to start the season on the right note and get home so you know first being on the first drive it's always a great feeling you know what I mean so uh like I said getting a big sack great feeling um many more to come so yeah we're excited bro let's get into the dog of the day oh yeah Max un let you kind of uh talk about that one we got a big dog today too yeah oh yeah so I mean there was there was a few people we uh we discussed prior to the show we were we were going back and forth who was it going to be um but for me you know one guy stood out um statistically it didn't have the craziest stat line but he consistently all game caused disruption was flying into piles made some you know had some hits on the quarterback was running great games me and him had some amazing games on the right side um almost helped me get free a couple times on you know to get to the qu back but my boy Adam Butler got to give it to my boy Adam Butler absolute dog one of my favorite teammates I've had this dude is an absolute baller and he's one of the most selfless um practice habits everything across the board the dude does it and uh you know he does it at a high level and he's won a Super Bowl only guy on our you know on our team that's got a Super Bowl I believe and he's been in the league for a very long time and I feel like he's one of the most underrated players in the league period um so big shout out to Adam Butler um you know I don't want to take any credit away from anybody else on that D line um but Adam me and him since day one we've had a connection every time we rush every time we're on the field like we're fully on the same page all the time so uh big shout out to Adam Butler bald out today only going to get better um one of the most underrated players in the league period regardless of position so big shout out to my dude Adam Butler dog of the day also did I not just see he's over at werman just staying in the family as well oh yeah shout werman big shout out to boy CJ d boy d boy shout to Siege yeah you know uh freshly acquired so he's part of team was too so Adam's even you know know I'll say after the season Once uh or at least towards the end of the season I think we can reveal that but we got a lot of lot of work to do until then I like it and then last but not least because we only got two wasn't a long list here um the OG Blaze fatties is back I mean he's here how was how was uh coming to Cali for training camp and will that be a tradition under AP I believe it will be you know AP is an LA guy I'm not sure if we're going to be in La again or Costa Mesa wherever La whatever Orange County um but I believe we're going to go back again and I I believe it was amazing trip um we're there for two and a half weeks um we got to Bond as a team we got super close um but we had an absolute ball together um got to learn you know every year you got so many new teammates and new guys and new coaches so being able to be there staying in the same spot everyone's together every single day you got an opportunity to really learn who you team you know who your new guys are um get closer to the your the teammates that have already been there so um I loved it I honestly loved it you don't have to go far you go downstairs get your food you go downstairs do meetings you're all everything's in the same building so it you know it gave me like that college feel which I you know I love you know and the guys love the end of the day we're all grown ass men but like we love you know having our time you know we can get away from kind of everything and just you know get tight-knit and and learn who we are as as people like we had a badass dline dinner on one of our off days um and just literally big shout out to uh I think it was mastros in Costa Mesa it's like a walking distance we all walk there as a dline and this is a badass restaurant Mark Davis is in there George ainon some Legends as well so we got to say what's up to them but they gave us badass private room and uh they were playing some like music you know in the restaurant is kind of going over the speaker in the in the room and I was like went up to the guy I'm like I was like is there any chance y'all got like a a Bluetooth like a Bose speaker or something I was like we need to get of course I did my teammates I mean my teammates came up to me they're like bro you should ask low key so I'm like all right bet they had Frank cro plan yeah they had some Frankie in there what they brought a speaker this big ass Bose speaker we were in there bumping and I had the playlist booming so it was amazing we got to watch some uh I don't know what what was on I think it was a boxing match was on on TV so we got to watch a little little boxing but it was just the whole dline all the coaches everything we just were bumping future and you know there's nothing better than that love Lamar Jackson MVP of the league Derrik Henry former offensive player of the year um they got a bunch of guys they got a lot of talent a lot of ability um but at the end of the day it's the National Football League you know what I mean who's whoever's going to be the best team that day um is going to win and uh it starts with practice starts tomorrow the preparation getting the workout in and taking it one day at a time the buildup is just as important as anything but we got to show up on Sunday and be at our best and and we plan on doing that so both teams you know we we had tough losses week one but we got to respond and uh that's that's really all this League's about is not riding that roller coaster just staying even killed so uh we're looking forward to it you know we want to play the best I know I want to play the best personally and that's a you know we plan we plan on doing showing up and being you know being dominant hell yeah I'm excited that's going to be a good one oh different we have I think we have these are all three new guys as well am I am I wrong about that none of these guys have made the rest of the week so far so big shout out to season two we got three brand new rushmen of the week so big shout out to these three we'll start it off though at number three Keon White young dude I believe second year in the league this dude's a monster I've seen him in person massive individual um and he bowled out he had four tackles two and a half sacks one force fumble um had a huge day and helped the Patriots win against the Bengals um we got to get some clips in here we'll definitely you know have the highlights popped in here you know unfortunately I didn't get to see any of these sacks but I know this dude bowled out and um you know he's got a lot of you know potential and ability and seeing a young guy like that set the tone you know week one is is huge for that team so big shout out to Keon white big shout out to you brother you're number three Rush of the week number two number two Tennessee V I know my boy Matt Butler will be very happy about this but our guy Daryl Taylor went crazy eight tackles two sacks one force fumble um he snapped and he's a I I believe he just got signed to the bearss right right yeah I think he's on the Bears right yeah he's on the Bears he's on the Bears okay I was say he was with the Seahawks before and then he just got signed to the Bears this year yeah he was in Seattle for a few years for sure um but that's yeah I mean the Bears found a way to win I mean they definitely found a way to win they had some special teams plays they some turnovers I they got that pick six at the end um but Daryl Taylor with my guy Travis Smith my former assistant dline coach also came to my prod day the only Oakland Raider at the time that I had any contact with um Travis Smith now with the dline coach with the Chicago Bears they're balling over there um their D line has gotten better and better they've added some pieces and Daryl Taylor's one of them so setting the tone in week one eight tackles two sacks and a force fumble that's way to start the year so big shout out to darl Taylor you are number two rushman of the week great day at the office huh yeah great day at the office big day big day but our number one mhm sack Summit Alum I was just we just seen him Dude Looks Like a power forward on the Boston Celtics he is a monster um had a big preseason dude is B balling is is uh big Miami guy obviously Daren you know Miami I think no uh yeah all about the U but Greg rosu big shout out to you brother six tackles three piece in a force fumble to start the year year um that's wild they know I know they played the Cardinals and uh you know having a comeback win versus them but uh Greg rosu I watched him in the pre-season versus Steelers I believe and he was snapping in that game I think he had like two and a half sacks or something and then starting the year with a three-piece as big so big shout out to Greg rosu dude's got a ton of ability ton of talent uh and he's starting to put it together so our number one rushman of the week is our Guy Greg rosu big shout out to you baby congs
