BY TONIGHT AND INTO TOMORROW MORNING, A FEW RAIN SHOWERS WILL MOVE THROUGH, DOTTING THE LANDSCAPE. NOTHING TOO SIGNIFICANT BUT YOU MAY HEAR THUNDER SOUR THUNDER SHOWER. BY THE END OF THE WEEK WE ARE HEARING THERE SOME RELIEF WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 80s WHERE WE SHOULD BE FOR THE HIGHS FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. A HEAT ALERT. LET'S TALK ABOUT THEM, EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH FOR COOK COUNTY ILLINOIS FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY. HEAT ADVISORIES WILL BE ISSUED AT A LATER DATE AS LONG AS WE GET A LITTLE CLOSER MONDAY AND TUESDAY. RIGHT NOW WE ARE GOING TO BE BATTLING HIGH TEMPERATURES, HOT HUMIDITY LEVELS AND IT WILL FEEL STICKY AS TROPICAL. MONDAY AFTERNOON AT TIMES, 100-105 DEGREES FOR THE CITY OF CHICAGO AND FOR THE SUBURBS. LOOKING AHEAD ON TUESDAY, THAT WILL BE THE HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR WITH HIGHS, AIR TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 90s POTENTIALLY BREAKING THE CURRENT STANDING RECORD AT 97 DEGREES AND WHEN YOU FACTOR IN THE OPPRESSIVE HERMAS IT WILL FEELANYWHERE FROM 110-115 DEGREES DURING THE AFTERNOON SO IT'S GOING TO BE TOASTY. THIS EVENING IT WILL BE WARM AND HUMID WITH TEMPERATURES FALLING TO THE 80s AND LANDING IN THE 70s TONIGHT. WE WILL BE TRACKING A SMALL PULSE OF ENERGY WHICH WILL BRING US SOME ISOLATED RAIN SHOWERS AND MAY BE A BRIEF STORM TO PASS THROUGH OVERNIGHT INTO TOMORROW MORNING. THE FORECAST TRACK WITH YOUR FIRST ALERT WEATHER FUTURE CAST SO LOOKING AHEAD, CLOUD COVER NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD UNTIL TONIGHT, WE'LL SEE RIGHT HERE WE ARE TRACKING SOME RAIN SHOWERS AND MAYBE SOME STORMS TO POP UP TOMORROW AFTERNOON HOT CONDITIONS WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 90s AND FEELING LIKE WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE 90s WITH LATE DAY SUNSHINE ON TAP.
