Minnesota Vikings Team Press Conferences | Week 2 vs. 49ers | September 11

Garrett Bradbury and that's a pretty good football team you're playing on yeah really good football team um it's another week in the NFL it's they're all good um so it's a good opportunity first home game excited to play in front of the crowd um so it'll be fun you know this 49er team you guys played a couple times here in the last couple of years they want to be physical up front is really what it's what's about from your standpoint yeah yeah what you Embrace is an o line um did a joint practice with them played them in the regular season uh play them in the playoffs so yeah good team um good coaches good players so it'll be good opportunity I would think an offensive line would look forward to those kinds of games because you know what they're going to do it's who does it better yeah absolutely that's that's most Sundays and you know we know we're going to where they're going to line up we know the Personnel we played against them um so it's just about doing our job executing the game plan playing hard playing physical uh playing tough which is kind of what we set the standard as in the Old Line pretty simple isn't it Josh Metellus they what they want to do they're going to invite you to stop and if they get a lead then they're going to keep handing the ball yeah uh you know we uh we setting us up setting oursel up for a war um you you heard the uh pressure last um after the game they want to run the ball 40 times a game if they can so you know that that just already let us let us know what kind of mindset we need going into Wednesday what kind of mindset we need to have all the way throughout the weekend that we got to be the most physical team on the field mcaffry in or out how does that change scouting it doesn't matter they got a bunch of good skilled guys all throughout the you seen 24 he came in and replaced mcaffry obviously it's not the the same because mcaffry is all player but um you know they they got guys that come in and play their role and Coach Floy I said it's almost position football the way they move guys around receivers in the back field back running back and you know split out explain that yeah it kind of reminds us of uh the way we play defense you just got guys moving around you can expect the same thing from different guys same uh different personnels but the same plays so you know it's all about knowing your keys and technique and knowing what they do not players but you know just the formations and stuff like that Josh the hoopla week one done now it's 16 more games like what just what what changes now that oh man the season starts to fly it's already week two it's crazy uh I think now it's about uh just focusing on the day-to-day things um focusing on how can we get better each day how can we replicate what we did to win last week and you know continue that throughout the season because these weeks start to roll up on you fast you know before you know it we already heading into Thursday practice tomorrow so um it's all about doing the little things and keeping that the same throughout the season Josh what makes San Francisco Run game as difficult [Music] um I mean for one they got 71 back there so he he he going to help a lot uh you know they use him they use him well he's a great great player great athlete um gets up on your toes quick um Shanahan does a great job of making things look the same um their oine does a great job climbing to the next level receivers blocking juice blocking KD blocking so you know when you when you got people doing the right things you know you have a good offense so you know it's for us it's all about you know winning your one-on-one doing the things that coach says and what the play Co says not trying to play Hero ball playing your keys trusting each other and just playing fast still a dangerous offense with Theo Jackson Jordan Mason others I mean cuz the way that Jordan ran ran the ball he's actually a good friend of mine so you know I know him pretty well but you know he runs the ball pretty well and you know you got Debo and you IU kdo you know they got a whole you know hand handful of guys so you know it's they're they're always going to be dangerous for you what does Flores do well about putting you guys in positions to make plays like what is something that maybe no one else on the outside knows that he makes you guys so great honestly he puts us in in places where we play to our strengths you know if if if you're you're a guy that plays well well in space he going to put you in space if you play well in the Box he going to put you in the Box you know so he puts us where where we want to be be placed at so we can succeed when it comes to skill Playmakers where do the 49ers rank in the rest of among the rest of the NFL in regards to their Playmakers not going to lie they're pretty up there but you know we got some Playmakers over here too so you know I'm not really you know too much worried it all right appreciate you yo of course I never I didn't saw for Christian Darrisaw left tackle I was at I was like Right Guard left guard and then uh once the fall rolled around um that's when I started playing love tackle and ever since then I was kind of like a natural I fell in love with it so last one for you what is the biggest way you grew like widespread in those 6 months four months however long it was man I probably say the biggest is um my sophomore year at College um I had this coach uh man um and like my run game I probably say like that's why I was really lacking it just like the Run game being physical and stuff like that and uh Jerry um Jerry CH coach kill is that his name yeah yeah coach kill he was there with our staff with fluente and um he was on me heavy like pushing me every day just to be the player I am now um so I'm grateful for him I feel like that that sophomore year at college is when I really took that leap and then junior year getting here um it's been nothing but Improvement and I got to stay on that path and we can see what happens all already appreciate you small world coach kill your guy no kid for sure um how much encouragement do you take from it's a pretty good front that you guys managed to pretty much keeping check for most of the game on Sunday oh man um this it's just a week one uh we know we got to come out here and prove ourselves every week um so that game's over with now we're focused on the 49ers now the challenge is to do it again um as a front and uh that's all we're focused on right now and um just just taking it one week at a time and uh doing our best just to keep Sam clean um we seen we kept him clean he was making those play man and same as a baller so we're going to do our job every week just to just to help him and get wins this is not to SL the Giants but you expect there will be a different level of playing this week oh man um like no disrespect to their front they have they have a they have a talented front um but I feel like uh the 49ers they just got something else about them um we know what challenges we're going to face we played them last year Monday night um so we know we already know what to expect uh so it's going to be a physical game for sure and times in last year's game where the join practice is wind up helping out you're like oh yeah I remember this about this kind of yeah you kind of get that uh cuz like you said in practice nothing a sack really don't count so you're out there trying things but uh in the real game you know what's going to happen uh but like you said those joint practices definitely help just having those opportunities to go against uh Nick Bosa one of the best in the league um and the net front their whole defense man they fly around they got some Ballers on that side of the ball man um so yeah definitely excited for this game it's going to be fun purging was the result of last week for your unit because I Jonathan Greenard mean front seven from last year to this we shuffled the death so you guys and you think you're going to be good but you never know right right right and that's kind of the same thing we were kind of dealing with going into it just like all right look we we've been through preseason been through Camp joint practicing all these things um and understand like who could be this guy making certain plays and how certain plays going to work against other teams when they run it um but yeah like you say just to get the W and see things work work perfectly and actually be effective um it's a great feeling knowing that you know the play calls we dial up and and the schemes that we calling up obviously up with drawing up that scheme uh it works very good it has all of us in mind this is no disrespect at all to the J but the Niners played in the Super Bowl you expect there might be another level to this week's game yeah it's it's it's another level every week I mean whenever you win or lose period I feel like at least in my eyes you're everybody's a Target on Sunday period uh no matter if you're the best and worst in the league if you're stepping across you got to play us I feel like you're a Target so um ultimately that's just the main thing that I car myself you know I think we did a good job and the focus Blake Brandel now is taking on the 49ers and kind of try to keep that rolling do you think that there this is no disrespect to the Giants but just team wide I mean the ners played the Super Bowl last year do you expect there might be another level you got to find this week yeah absolutely I mean um you try to make it nameless faceless opponents but at the end of the day you know that these guys were competing for a Super Bowl um which is where we want to go so yeah we're we're excited how much more comfortable maybe are you right now with the chemistry you guys have as a fiveman unit than you maybe you did the beginning of Camp yeah I mean it's it's just getting those reps you know it's huge um both the actual blocking and just the communication up front is huge and uh you know having a leader like Garrett um he's kind of the voice of the o line the quarterback of the o line he does a great job makes it a lot easier for everybody so yeah as Aaron Jones being as advertised games a lot of yards yeah absolutely I mean he's he is unreal I think he does all the right things you know um not only is he a freak athlete but he's also got the ability to set us up so uh it's really fun blocking for him and then you know you got to block for longer because that guy can make anybody miss break any tackle and uh keep the play extended yeah thank you guys Jalen Nailaor especially with your whole unit everybody did pretty well when asked to last um I mean we just try to move on to the next week you know just take take things day by day and just try to improve on what we did last week and bring it to this week no disrespect to the Giants but do you guys expect I mean they're playing against a team that to the Super Bowl last year do you expect that you got to find another level to get a win again this week I mean it just comes down to execution uh of the game plan and just playing our Brandon football um that's what Co coaches preaching to us to try to play our game and match their physicality how much did you like what you saw to Sam darnold first chance with live fire a pretty good ball into you in the end zone I mean he was amazing man uh I know he only had a couple incompletions but I mean he was throwing the ball beautifully to to everybody so um it's good to see him out there and just having a good time having fun
