Jen happy Wednesday to you what's up brethren what's up Brethren so what is the media basically what is going on and what is the media saying about the Carolina Panthers in this offseason so far um we're going to go over some articles I'm GNA discuss them with you guys but let's go over to some exciting news over on the NFL side this is crazy man um I'm gonna share my screen real quick here let's go here Adam Sher reports um as reports Adam shefner comes out and says that I mean that step on digs is traded from the Buffalo Bills and it's traded to the Houston Texans I mean look at look what the bills did look what the bills did man look what they did for the Houston Texans I mean CJ strout now has a monster of weapons he's got Joe Mixon in the Run game he's got Dalton Schultz at tied end uh n you got Diggs Nico Collins tank Dell I mean Robert Woods is wash let's be honest but holy smokes I mean you would think that the bills again the bills gave away 25 fifth round pick they got a 2025 second round pick how does this even like pan out like I don't know if I like this trade I don't even know if I like this trade based off of because I feel like the bills could at least gotten a second round pick this year for him because now that Who besides Don King Kade Dawson Knox and what is it Shakir I mean besides Shakir like who did I mean who is he who is Josh Allen throwing the ball to I mean you got James Cook yes you got James Cook who is a weapon but and King K seems to be seems to have gotten better as time went on um you know this last you know last season but I mean but now CJ strout's got all the weapons all the I mean you got Stefon Diggs who who is got a route running tree like no wonder you got tank Dell in the slot who's been who was great last year before he got injured was on a thousand probably on a thousand yard he would have had another he would have been another thousand yard receiver on that team with Nico Nico is definitely the Deep threat guy there only thing is is I gotta say Stefon Diggs better not act up Stefon digs better not back up this fan base on X about to have me turn into G baby I'm going to need his shirt y'all make me [ __ ] sick oh man it is what it is man at the end of the day it is what it is yeah oh they're definitely drafting receiver now for sure definitely drafting a receiver which the bills have the what they've got the 29th 28th pick they have let's see what the Buffalo Bills have damn well again the Buffalo Bills have a have the 28th they have 11 draft picks this year they've got the 28th pick in the first round they've got the 60th pick in second round they've got two fourth round picks three fifth round picks three sixth round picks and a seventh round pick so this is their draft now that they made this trade I think the Buffalo Bills are gonna um they're definitely going to be drafting I mean they got 11 draft picks just this year after that Stefon dick so 28th pick uh um oh yeah they close so okay they do have Curtis Samuel that's right last spot Justin shorty versus Matt Collins okay they got khil Shakir so they got Curtis Samuel that's right I forgot they got Curtis Samuel in that trade so um wow that that's that's insane man um that's pretty insane that they made that trade I I didn't I knew that like here's the thing I knew that on Diggs wanted out there I've heard you know there was multiple rumors that he was out there wanting wanting to trade uh was looking for a trade but um I mean that's I could not believe um that they traded away um Stefon Diggs like I I just couldn't believe it I didn't think it was going to happen I did not think that that that was going to be something that was going to H I didn't think it was going to fully happen I knew it was it could have happened but um that's insane so I mean good on Houston good on get on good on Houston for that trade I mean they got they got a big name they got a big name in there now um that's crazy though I'm I'm looking at the trade right now um but again they've got 11 draft picks so they're going to be able to get somebody to replace Stefon digs uh immediately they're definitely going to be able to get Stefon digs somebody else immediately um so I think that now I mean if we look at the Buffalo Bills they've got to be going like Adonia now that now that that walking with the mock thing is coming to fruition seems like it's coming to fruition because um remember when we were doing the walking with the mock well nine draft picks came off nine wide receiver draft picks came off that board in the first round that left S car the Carolina Panthers only like certain guys I think AJ Brook said so that's crazy that's crazy so we know now that the Buffalo Bills are definitely going wide receiver definitely going wide receiver that's crazy I think it's I mean it's a it's a it's an I think it's an okay um trade for Buffalo I mean I mean not for Buffalo I think it's a good trade for Houston but I think for Buffalo I think they could have gotten more compensation for Diggs that's just me but um you know for both sides wanted to part ways with each other as simple as that bills need some kind of re reset and still have great young tight ends yeah so I mean they did they still do have Curtis Samuel I appreciate uh you reminding me of that match hat uh he doesn't like sharing the spotlight you wanted dig digs for a second uh I didn't want digs for a second I I mean we've already got enough with Deontay Johnson could you imagine Stefon Diggs and Deontay Johnson being on with both of their their attitudes could you imagine that could you imagine having Deontay Johnson and Stefon digs on the same team got both ball Hogs you know what I mean just that would not grow Bo over well uh Clay did they update the Bill's draft picks I mean they didn't get a 2024 draft pick so uh as of right now it looks like um you know this is their draft board right now at least for this draft year for the bills it's just crazy to me uh that they have 11 tra picks I had no idea the argument that dicks wants to be is the only one in the spotlight void because of CJ Stout gets the ball to everyone it's always where they need it football placement specialist yep and I know all of us this the some of I wonder if still some of us here in the in the channel uh still wish that we would have taken um CJ Stout but I don't know I don't know if it wasn't for Dig's $2 million cap hit we could have got him probably probably I I mean I don't know if we were ever in talks I mean maybe we were I mean Dan Morgan Had ties there with the bill so he might have he might have reached out we we have no idea about that I don't have a curs of ball but I feel like wide receivers will fly off the board more than what we think yeah yeah I mean unfortunately with this trade it makes me think that it's going to it's going to happen even more now Josh I think with this trade it's gonna solidify I think it solidifies the fact that we are going to see the some these wide receivers fly off the board I really do I think that with this type of trade we're going to see these wide receivers fly off the board because why wouldn't they you the bills are going to have to get a wide receiver the Texans won't get a wide receiver they don't have a first- round pick anyways um I mean if we're looking at teams that need wide receiver from a standpoint I mean the Chargers need a wide receiver uh if we're looking at like let's say for example if we're looking at a draft board right so let's say we're looking at this draft board Chicago do they need a wide receiver not really they got DJ Moore and Keenan Allen so are they gonna go Marvin Harrison Jr at at all in this draft probably not I don't see that I think they go Caleb Williams at one Washington's definitely going Jaden Daniels or Drake May at to uh pit um Patriots are definitely going Jaden Daniels or um Jane Daniels or um Drake may it depends who's there four I mean that's probably where we're going to see Marvin Harrison go I would assume that we would see Marvin Harrison go to the Cardinals um five I think the the Chargers are definitely either looking at I I think they're definitely looking either at Brock Bowers or they're looking at Malik neighbors um New York is either going Rader or they take JJ McCarthy again Minnesota's also been in talks about moving up for JJ McCarthy there's been a lot of talks there's really it's interesting how this is going to pan out but if you think about it from this standpoint do the Texans do the Tennessee Titans really need a wide receiver no I would say teams that actually need a wide receiver are definitely the Patriots I would say also the Cardinals definitely would say the Chargers I would definitely say the Giants Tennessee no do the Falcons need it not necessarily I mean they have more they got London Pitts and Mooney does does Chicago really need a wide receiver no because they got Keenan Allen and they got DJ Mo now the Jets I think definitely could use a wide receiver I think they definitely could use wide receiver to go alongside G uh Wilson and I think now again Minnesota they've got Addison and they've got Justin Jefferson Broncos they got rid of Judy so they might they kept courand it seems like courland Sutton's still there right he's still there right so I'm assuming they're gonna possibly go wide receiver or they taking Michael pennick here right I mean or they going B Knicks obviously all of this is is all speculation right at the end of the day all this is speculation um the Raiders do they need a wide receiver I mean jacobe Meyers and Devonte Adams have been were pretty damn good last year together um the Saints they're going to need someone else to go along with Chris olve I'm assuming they go wide receiver I'm assuming they would go wide receiver now again I don't know if they'll go wide receiver here do the Colts need a wide receiver I don't think that so not with Josh DS and um mik uh Michael Pitman does Seattle need another wide receiver not necessarily I know that Tyler lockett's older now he's what 32 I mean DK metf well Bravo I mean they still got DK meaf and they got uh Smith Smith Smith um jsn I mean or I'll call him jsn I cannot pronounce his name correctly um now I think the Jaguars definitely are going to need a wide receiver they're I mean they're gonna have to fill wide receiver boy down do they take it in the first round I don't know based off their wants and needs now the Bengals yeah I I mean so all of this is speculation I mean how many teams that that lost a wide receiver though do they does need a wide receiver to replace right that that's the question like Green Bay doesn't need a wide receiver Tampa doesn't need a wide receiver I know Arizona does now you got you know now you got the Buffalo Bills to need a wide receiver I think that the bills definitely will take like a guy like ad donian Mitchell here it depends who comes off the board um but I mean the Buffalo Bills have 11 picks like look at look at the Buffalo Bills picks they got 11 picks look at all that one two three four five six seven eight nine 10 11 11 picks on the board so I definitely think that they go wide they might go wide receiver twice in this draft I could see them going and getting like a guy like adonan Mitchell at 28 and then they probably go around this range the 128 133 you can get like a Jacob cow croing out of Arizona um or like 20 or 128 they maybe they go after like a Malik Washington uh it all depends like I mean who's there um maybe they take that sneaky kid out of Idaho Hayden Hatton I have no idea who this is someone calling me from Alaska uh but anyways so there's there's some I think there's some guys here that we can take there's definitely some guys here that we can definitely take um that they'll definitely take I mean I think the bills will definitely take somebody here I'm just curious who who it might be again I think now this makes it think like if we do a mock draft today we might be able to sit we might be able to say maybe we do a mock draft later and we'll see if maybe I don't know if this will change anything um I don't know if this will change anything when it comes to now that they made this trade but uh at least with drafts but we shall see we shall see um all right let's get into this this is basically right now our defense and a nutshell this is our defense in a nutshell this is what our depth chart looks like okay this is what um I mean this is actually what a projected defensive depth chart looks like for the C Panthers heading into April now this is despite further you know potential further moves um sucks as such as you know speculation of addition of Stefon Gilmore uh you know the the team has undergone significant changes right particularly on the defense um obviously with departures like Brian Burns Frankie Liu ygm uh Dante Jackson uh Jeremy Chen vonell however in the midst these changes are emerge as a new new team and hopefully a promising team right um as now we are just looking forward to the draft right so this is basically a breakdown of the our anticipated defensive lineup so you see you got Derek Brown LeBron Ray backing him up Shy total nick Thurman uh at D tackle which is technically nose tackle uh that needs to be moved shy Tuttle does not need to be at nose tackle this is where I don't like this projection at Osan Robinson is a true noos tackle he is a block eater that's what he does so why and on Earth I know this is a projected one but even with a projected one there's no reason why Osan Robinson should not be in the nose tackle position I would keep Nick Thurman in the nose tackle position because he did first off if anything Nick Thurman and shy Tuttle should swap spots Nick Thurman did a better job last year than shy Tuttle did in the nose tackle position he had way more better production um but still Osan Robinson is a true nose tackle and needs to be switched now again the problem is is if you move Osan is shy total good enough to play that defensive inside uh of of uh Derek Brown the opposite side I don't see it I don't see it I've heard to earlier today Bills fans are saying Coleman and Legette good Lord we should do a mock where we pick for everyone in the first round so we to see what we will have left obviously speculative well we can do that we could definitely do that um that's definitely something that we can definitely do um now Josh if they do that that's insane if they go out and get both of those guys that's insane everyone wants to get get yeah I saw Lisa to the Seahawks um might be a good move for him Fresh Start might be uh you know hopefully it works out hopefully he pans out yeah Le going round one and he might now he might now I still say a gets dealt he might and that's another thing if he gets dealt let's say 49ers deal him off now that will take a team off the board I think that's looking for a wide receiver but let's say the San Francisco deals Brandon iuk off guess what that means that means that open up another team to go after after a wide receiver anyone know if Shaq Leonard linebacker washed uh I think he is washed I thought he signed no I'm thinking of Shaquille Barrett Shaq Leonard I don't know if he's wa that washed I don't know how W washed he is now I've heard that he is but I I don't know I didn't he play for didn't sha Leonard play for the um didn't he play for the Jets last year no he played for he played for the Colts now he plays for but now he or did he play for um but now he played damn he's from Lake View South Carolina oh he's the South Carolina State boy that's right um he played for the Colts oh he played for Philly last year five games 23 tackles 12 solo 11 assisted one sack he's all right he's definitely had his better years he definitely had his better years in Indianapolis um he must have in got he must have been getting injured a lot this year because his first four years in Indianapolis he was a baller he was a he was a baller um so but I don't know if he's uh if he's any good right now looks like he's had some injury troubles lately uh toxic black says yo what's up toxic appreciate you joining live stream if ocean is going to be no sackle then I think we get Chris Jenkins as a I mean I think that would be a good move too AJ I don't disagree with that I'm high on Chris jins in this draft um I'd like to see what he you know I would love to see him be on the other side of Dereck Brown and oan in the middle that would be I that would be solid that would help the pass rush too and it would not only would it help the pass rush but it would help the Run game too on both sides because he can do it both Chris Jenkins does remind me a lot of a Derek Brown but he fits the three four mold at the defensive end for sure uh I believe Coleman is going to fall his tape has crazy highlights but he doesn't fit what we've seen canalysis from Canal's office I don't know trap said I think you could use a Keon Coleman almost like a Mike Williams like how Canalis used Mike William or Mike Evans sorry Mike Evans not Mike Williams how Canalis use Mike Evans in Tampa Bay I think you could use Keon Coleman in that same kind of style now does that fit our mold of the offense part of me says it does because you I feel like you still need that outside wide receiver I still believe we still need that outside wide receiver yes I know that we want to be able to get the ball out of Bryce's hands quick that's why you have Adam th and um Deontay Johnson but I still believe that you know you still need that guy that you know if Bryce is you know working on his footwork and stepping into these throws and he's actually gets that down pat you're gonna need a deep ball you're you're gonna need a deep threat you're gonna need a guy guy down the field to throw it to so I think that um I think you got to and get a guy like like that I think you got to I think you got to go get a guy I think you go get a Keon Coleman that can go up and get it a nice and he's a he fits the outside XY receiver position I like his tape a lot too though his his combine is is is very slept on I feel like um we all gonna P are we all gonna pass some more key Aints he just can't stay healthy match chatter again the best abilities availability Todd boy injured will will get de he hey doar boydd might go end up going to um he might end up going to the bills you know who knows the bills might be trying to reach out to San Francisco get get get Brandon iuk I don't know I've heard the Jaguars are actually I've heard rumors around that Mark uh that the Jaguars have uh have some serious interest for Brandon I Maris Haynes is not on the roster he's not he's a free agent he's a free agent I'm staying with a wanting lad or parasa for us Casey fans are talking about lad I think lad fits what they're doing over there um and KC I think lad of parasol fits the narrative there um they're G would they would use him more in the in the I mean I think KC now has to go I mean that's another team thing we have to think about k man what's going to happen with rasheid rice after this whole ordeal is he going to be available is he or is he going to be suspended like how long is this guy gonna get suspended for is he even is he going to jail like what what are we do like what's up with the Rashid rice thing has anybody heard any more news about that because Rasheed rice gets suspended or gets arrested and and is put and is put in way for jail time Kansas City could go after a wide receiver now they were probably going to do that either way but for sure now they would they would have to right so I don't know well mat chatter I mean we need a big Bruiser back and B the best guy out of that would be either Zeke and then I would say I take Kareem hunt then JK JK Dobbins uh if we decided to sign another running back but I don't see that being the case I think you got to go big Bruiser in the draft uh clay play a lot I play clay Robinson played a lot of D DN on a three four defense so tantre so would be a great addition and Clay I meant Oh Sean Robinson okay um would be a great addition but getting both tandre s and Chris Jin would be fire front three I mean you would have your front three between Derek Brown and Chris Jenkins you would have that set to years to come um if they did go that route you would have that front stepping set up for years to come the only thing is is I just cannot roll I just do not feel comfortable with Shai total at nose tackle I just don't like it it makes no sense to me whatsoever it makes no sense to me whatsoever I I mean Nick if we go look at Nick Thurman's production I felt like Nick Thurman had better production than last year Chris jenin has some work to do on pass rush but he does have upside when it comes to pressure for sure an absolute freak when it comes to power yeah and isn't isn't Thomas Davis like a mentor to Chris Jenkins is that not is that correct that's correct right so I'm sure I wonder I wonder if Carolina Carolina might be targeting Chris Jenkins I'm wondering if Carolina might be targeting Chris Jenkins a little bit just because of the Thomas Davis thing now again you know we're looking at this defensive list um I wouldn't take Levi Wallace if it was the last corner on the planet I would man well I'm I'm I wouldn't say that I mean Dane Jackson's not better I might say Levi Wallace is better um let's see J that's that is Jamal Adams just doesn't fit the NFL anymore I'm telling you that's the reason why the safety position is is is is moving to Guys Like Jordan Fuller their play style is it's just different it's just different CBS came out and and did a whole full report on why safety the safety position and Corner position is changing and what guys are going to fit in the NFL now and what guys aren't CBS came out with a report with that uh watching K I don't see Mike Evans while he has a lot of jump balls his contested 50-50 cat percentage numbers are below average I think that's understandable though at least from a contested catch standpoint but that's something you can that's you can work on um I know it won't happen but I think IU fits Kansas City so well dude what if IU just was like yeah you know I'm going to Kansas like goes to Kansas City that would be insane um I think Kansas City needs a wide receiver too clay yeah I mean and trap said you're not wrong they definitely need a corner after losing uh lerus need but what about Rasheed rice now what about Rasheed rice you know what I mean I think we got to I think you got to take someone around the fourth round fifth round I could see the fourth or the fifth round they take somebody dude it is like pouring down rain here inak washed I don't think he's washed I would say he's better than than some of these guys on this team right now I would I would admit to that but he might not fit the mold that we're trying to pull here we got to upgrade the middle we got to upgrade the middle on this front three we have to upgrade it I mean I cannot think that Shai total is gonna do anything worth a damn uh tandre sweat nose tack I don't think we're gonna get him past no tantre stet will definitely go either in the first round or the second round like he is not going P going he will not fall to the third I just don't see it I'm going off of the Main Kansas City Podcast what they're what they're over there saying so they are they saying over there Josh is it more um are they saying that it's more on the Kansas City side are they going CB or wide receiver on that podcast um are they are going what I meant Are they going more corner or wide receiver in Kansas City I know shy total's family personally he was not focused this season including distractions he got the payday and kind of let him let it it get to him damn trap set's got a nice little uh a little insight there trap set a little insight little insight all right I will back off on shy Tuttle just because of that if you really know them personally I'll take your word for it and I'll back off a little bit but I'm just saying I need to see more I just need to see more okay I need more production out of him um which means I need him to me eat more blocks get more pressure on the quarterback be a run stuffer what you know that's what he's supposed to do okay now I'm not saying he's got to get all the sacks in the world but just get some pressures you eat up those blocks to help Osan and Dereck Brown if they're going to go this route we need more offensive weapon for Bryce no matter what for sure thanks lay you know League good I know league as best as I can I would say that wouldn't say I know it that I'm not I don't wouldn't say I'm that great but I know a little bit uh what did they say they were was changing with the safety um so CBS came out with this report to this [Music] question let me see if I can find it yeah they came out with this report they actually came out with this back in um they came out with this back in March 7th um and so it's interesting to me so basically they were saying in this article so hold on I'm going to share my screen real I'll share my screen here in just a second I'm trying to get it pulled up for you guys and then we're going to get back to this roster depth chart um it and it's pretty interest in to me what what they were saying in this article about the safety position um because and uh if you guys want to look at it yourselves I'll go ahead and um so this is the article that I've talked about that things are going to be changing in the safety position not as much as the corner position but definitely going to be changing in the safety position um basically this is indicating that that the safety position is is no longer worth the money okay basically that in recent years the safety position has become similar to the running back position where the markets has significantly just decreased um and basically a lot of people believe that many teams are saving money by releasing or not paying their safeties so why do you think they we let go Von Bell and Jeremy chin although some safeties like deran James Antoine Winfield and what they were mention guys that they're mentioning in here like Kyle Hamilton or basically were saying that they were worth the money so the majority of the league is not paying for the position and according to over the cap the safety position because and this is what they're saying in this article according to let me show you where it says this um let me find it now here it is now it says in this article according over to the cap that basically saying that the safety position has saved more than3 million Ina cash salary across the league most of any position group so that trend is due to the fact that coaches and Personnel Executives believe that there are many smart and productive players available in the draft or lowc cost free agents okay so it's it's more of a financial thing but things are changing because coaches however see definitely see the thing is is they see this position differently be and they believe that success is a scheme dependent so they say that basic they're saying is is that some players are perfect f for some coaches While others are not and basically the NFL is trending towards shorter passes so what does that mean two high safety looks that's what it means so that's why I'm saying from this article they they're saying that's the reason why the the safety position is basically not worth the money anymore because because of how the NFL is trending into this this whole thing it's trending into this whole thing of short passes um and so that means that you have a lot of too high safety looks which means that there is going to be less of a need for safety compared to previous years that's basically what this article is saying and it's it's going to be interesting to see at least for me from a ball knowing standpoint how the safety Market's going to develop next year maybe next this you know this off uh next off season and the years to come you know during the free agency um so it's going to be interesting to me um how that pants out um but that's what I know of so basically the safety position is a dying position and depending on what type of safety you are and what kind of coverage you know coverage safety you are again the N like I said the NF we all know this the NFL is trending towards shorter passes that's it's Dink and dunk go look at Kansas City look at Kansas City now yes Patrick Mahomes is getting sub deep balls but not like he was with Tyre Hill but he's getting the ball out quicker and you know now you got to have these certain types of safety that fit that scheme when it comes to the two high safety looks which means that it's less of a need of like I said it's a less of a need for the safety position compared to previous year so but but that's that's the re I was reading this article when it came out and I found it very very interesting you know I found it very interesting L Max what's up is the running back GNA return value again I I don't know I can't say I I match I don't know if it's going to return value I I think that I think that it might I could see that um because just because of the short passes I think but I think it's going to be I I think it's going to a running back by committee approach so I mean it might it might not it might not be what they used to be I don't know I feel like the NFL changes so much that maybe in years to come it could be like that but I mean I feel like the NFL has been a running back committee approach for the longest time I mean look at the Carolina Panthers when they had D'Angelo Williams and and and um Jay to it was more of a running back committee approach then too Casey already picked up Hollywood brown right that that makes the CB still a bigger need true but I'm still curious as to what's going to pan out with the Rasheed rice ordeal is he gonna serve time so I'm kind of curious so I'm wondering is he gonna get I mean the so he said okay so the rice was leasing Lamborghini K Dallas exotic car rental company he said that contractually Rice would have been the only person allowed to drive the vehicle which rents for about 17 good Lord $1,750 a day is worth about $250,000 now police said that the drivers of the corv Lamborghini speeding in the far left lane of the North Central Expressway when they lost control of Lamborghini went onto shoulder Okay blah blah BL blah yeah so that's the thing with him I'm kind of curious as to what's going to happen with the whole rashed rice thing ordeal I'm kind of curious is what's going to happen with the Rashid rice ordeal first though it'll be interesting to see what what comes of that it'll be interesting to see yeah I mean if that's the case let's say we get Gilmore I would say get a wide receiver I still think we gotta go Center I still think we I I still think inexcusable that's for sure not enough discipline football got to love those former wrestlers when it comes to L yeah Frasier is a power run blocker but our Zone scheme V print has a better mobility there I mean if Jackson po Johnson's there forget about it forget about it forget about it I'm going all in so these are the projected rosters not I mean nothing that I'm not um not surprised though all right I want to go over this article I found today wanted to see what y'all's thoughts were about it so the four underrated and sound off in the comments what who do you think if anybody ask you why you didn't drive around just say because you want to get wanted to wanted to get loaded yeah I me yeah exactly all right so four underrated signings that that should have P So based off this off season give me your top four guys in this free agency because they say in this article their top four guys were Dane Jackson um Damien Lewis DJ wanam and oan Robinson so for me if I'm giving you my four guys that I thought were the most underrated um that I thought were the most underrated guys to get in this dra or in this free agency for me it's definitely um I would take Robert hunt over Damien Lewis as for me because because if we look at that roster the roster from last year Corbett was out the left guard now Christenson went out but let's say Christensen Christensen wasn't bad at the left guard position when he was there he didn't he didn't allow what I don't think he allowed a sack uh in last 2022 season if that's correct maybe he only allowed one it might it might have been more than that but I know it wasn't more than three but you know did a solid spot at the left guard position right guard position Chan of you know you were moving guys in and out of that position because of Corbett going down so I felt like Robert Hunt is at least from a production and an impact standpoint because of his aggressive play style I think makes him a perfect fit for this team um especially when it comes to P pass coverage uh keeping a clean pocket um you know emphasize on the Run uh he can anchor that R guard position uh for us um and I think he's going to provide better protection for Bryce young and open up those run Lanes to help the rushing attack so I would take based off their list I would take Daman uh I would switch Damen Lewis with Robert hunt um now I like DJ wano and what he brings but I would switch jvon Clowney because I think the veteran status of jvon Clowney his pass rushing ability him coming off the edge um makes him more I think he's going to have better production explosiveness off the edge than wam will I think wen's gonna be a valuable asset don't get me wrong um I think what Javon Clowny might surprise some people because of him coming home and I think he's got a bad a big taste that you know he's wanting to go out here and um en reek havoc in his hometown basically um yeah another guy I would take off that list I probably would have switched Dane Jackson with Jordan Fuller Jordan Fuller is it fits what you know this team needs in a safety position I mean if you look at this guy from a pass rush standpoint coverage standpoint run Defender he was top five top 10 in every category uh last last year when he was with the Rams and he was top one of the top five tacklers on that team so his production is definitely going to fit here um and I actually agree with them with the oan thing I would say from this this this list that they say I would agree the one that I do agree with on this list is oan I do like o oan a lot I think he fits the mold here uh better uh I think he fits the mold uh at the nose tackle better would say because he definitely adds depth and stability to our defensive line for sure he's a run stopper he's got the ability to occupy blockers uh he's gonna be able to complement the talents of the of Derek Brown um I think Robinson can anchor that interior better than I think Shy Toto will but I mean again we'll sh that sh the shy Toto thing is a we shall see kind of ordeal um but the defense to improve I I think the defense from running standpoint will improve significantly I think it's going to create opportunities for other Defenders to make plays so everybody's going to have a chance to eat that's why I think that Dan Morgan and Company brought brance and stability now I'm not saying that this team this defense is gonna be the best defense in the NFL I think our pass rush is still going to lack without Derek Brown or uh Brian Burns and Frankie louu I definitely think it's gonna lack I don't know if we can get now I will now if DJ wano and jvon Clowney go out there and have seasons like they did last year then I then I W then we will have a better we will have a better defense um the only issue that I have is really the biggest issue I have for me though still to this day for this team defensively is the cornerback room I can't rely on danne Jackson and Troy Hill to get it done and especially if JC go down because then you all you have if we're looking based off the production or the projection that we saw earlier so if we're looking at this projection here I can't rely on if JC horn goes down to rely on DeShawn Jameson or Lamar Jackson or ja Caprio booty AJ Parker or anybody else to fill his his void so I still think we need to go out get Stefon Gilmore or they at least need to get a corner in the draft for sure we have got to add more depth we have to add more depth to this cornerback room I think it's a must just as it is a must to get a wide another wide receiver and a center and another pass rush and a tight end I mean there's still voids that need to be filled that's why I say the the ceiling of this team again guys I'm not I'm optimistic in certain ways and I'm realistic in C and I'm also very realistic though I'm optimistic that I like the balance that they're and the stability that they're trying to bring to this team and organization but what I am saying is is that there are still a lot of voids that need to be filled and that I still believe that this team's only going to win three to six games next year that's it so um trap set comes in with a question love to hear I love these questions hey clay have I I have a question for you do you really buy Canal as being committed to the Run looking at history and our free agents I think we're going to be pass heav again with lots of screens I think he I think he is gonna go heavy on the run I mean if you look at Seattle look what they did with Kenneth wer when he was there they he was a thousand yard back I think when Dave Canalis was there if I'm not mistaken Kenneth Walker stats was Dave Canales there in 2022 pretty sure he was I'm pretty sure he was if I'm not mistaken right yes he was the quarterback's coach and 2022 so look what they did they ran the ball with Kenneth Walker he had over a th yards I think he is I mean that's that was the reason why Gino Smith had a Resurgence of his career because if you go look so look to your question this was Kenneth Walker stats in 2022 he had 20 228 attempts over 1,50 rushes 4.6 yards average nine touchdowns okay go now if we go look at gin Smith stats while he was there 2022 was his best season until he left look what happened look what his production did he went from a 69.8 over 4,000 yards 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions now again he also had T DK meaf he also had and he had Tyler Lockett he had weapons he had Kenneth Walker and he had a 100.9 rating now if we go look at last year's with Tampa Bay stats so let's go with Rashad white go look at his stats over 272 attempts 990 yards six touchdowns now let's go look at Baker Mayfield stats how is prob his best season basically yeah best season 64.3 completion over 4,000 yards 28 touchdowns uh 94.6 rating so and they were running the ball a lot so I do think that they're going to run the ball a lot but I do see I but I do see them going more of the route that that they went so the reason why I say this to your question trap set I see them going more of the route of the Tampa Bay offense because of the running backs that we have they are more of a Rashad white than than they like mil Sanders and and um and chuba are more of those elusive backs like Rashad white is than you know than a Kenneth Walker in Seattle so I do believe they're going to run the ball heavy and and I think that's the reason why I'm saying I'm on the train of going in this draft and getting a guy like an audre gem or brayan Allen or Ray Davis or um even a Bucky Irving out of Oregon or I'm open to getting a guy like um Isaiah Davis out of South Dakota state I'm open I'm open to go get a one running back but in the later rounds I'm not I don't want to go and get go up in the first round I don't want to go and get a Jonathan Brooks with an injury history like that I would be open to getting a Marshon Lloyd think uh but my my three sleepers in this draft for the Panthers position uh are definitely um Cade Stover Keon Coleman and um and um Trey Benson out of floor state I mean I could see why I mean I could see I could see D on his way out for sure I don't I don't see I I see I I mean I get it I get it I mean Adam th's definitely on his way out um here's another thing I wanted to share this with you guys too so ESPN came out with this article and it said 2024 NFL draft team needs dep chart holes Prospect fits so ESPN came out with this and said let's see if y'all agree with this for the Carolina Panthers all right here it is for Carolina so this is their top three needs outside linebacker wide receiver Center all that okay yeah I know but still they ran the ball 272 times that's what I'm saying trap set I still believe yeah but he was a QB coach but he was also like involved in the offensive play calling he was also involved in a lot of that I know it just says QB coaches his history but he was also involved uh on that 2022 team he had a lot of um say in that in that offense I'm just saying um okay so basically usn is saying that the Carolina Panthers have to identify these three key needs okay outside linebacker wide receiver Center um while they've made some Moves In free agencies such as signing we all know Javon Clowney right they get the Dante Johnson wide receiver there's still room for improvement there um especially for long-term Solutions now each and every person Dave did Newton said something here and then Reed I don't know who Reed is but anyways given the depth of this year's wide receiver class I mean obviously we've been talking about in the chat selecting a pass catcher with one of the second round pick seems essential right um additionally concerns at center right because I still think they should prioritize a younger player to you know just and I agree with this here I think that we definitely should prioritize finding a younger player to develop behind Austin Corbett now again if we get a guy and he's just a absolute baller and he just beats Austin Corbett out great um now here they say that we need to fill uh the prospect to fill a need outside round one they say Zack Frasier is the target from West Virginia okay uh now I will say this Frasier has demonstrated impressive pass blocking skills I will say that um it does say here that he only allow three sacks and over his 1200 passing block snaps across three seasons um I think he's a reliable potential to be a long-term solution um but I do agree with trap set in the chat saying that fan PR probably fits the um you know fits the the scheme better than than Fraser does and the mobility of of Vamp intrigues me a little bit more for sure but I still think Fraser could be a compelling option for us to consider um but that is the approach that they think that we will make is at least in the first uh the second round um they think that we go outside the second round I think that they think that we'll probably go here in the second round with Zack Fraser because Zack Frasier will not be there after the second round you know I just don't think it so maybe that flame for Jesus I appreciate you putting that comment in there because maybe that's why teams are coming out and saying that they have questionable um questionable thoughts because like NFL GMS and coaches have came out and said that they have questionable thoughts about him um so that's that's interesting that you say that because a lot of people have been coming out and saying they have questionable thoughts about uh jpj so I picks in the draft should be the best the best tight ends and best running backs the big boys so Derek Henry George KD go get him okay uh who's another PowerBack in the league that's a starter right now who are starting power backs right now Kenneth Walker would be a good one another big tight end that would be tough to take down Sam leaport maybe he had a great production last year so I'm telling you right now the DK metap as a wide receiver wouldn't look too bad so I get where he's I get the separation issue I Josh I backed off on Legg it uh because y'all have swindled me a little bit and I've done some research myself uh and I've watched a little bit more game film of Legette um and then I've watched lad and and and parasa a little bit more and I paid attention to those guys a little bit more so I'd have to I mean I get both sides how about that I get both sides in that standpoint I will say that leot with this new hip R rule does make it intriguing does make it intriguing I think Josh we need to look at Deontay Johnson from this standpoint he's a route Runner so corners and safeties are going to is going to look at him more because he gets open right so what that means is it's going to take the corner and safety the the the linebackers and those guys it's going to take it um it's going to put more pressure towards him it's G to open up th and whoever else is on the other side that's the way I look at it it does take pressure when a guy is able to get open like Deontay Johnson is it does take pressure off of guys of Adam D and then the other guy who's alongside of them I will say that I mean playing for Jesus if if that's all he needs to do and we're winning football games so [ __ ] be it you know what I mean so fck could be it but I doubt he's going to need bro Jud can jump out the gym um so the four positives of this Carolina Panthers offseason so far so for you guys give me your four positives in the chat so far this season for you for the Carolina Panthers what were the four major positives for you guys from the Carolina Panthers from this off season I'm curious to hear y'all's thoughts besides y'all always hearing mine because I'm going to go based off because what this article is basically say can y'all see that what if I do this oh that's terrible that's better fixing The Trenches okay I would say the one of the four major things for me was the yeah I mean I would say definitely that investing in the offensive line right getting guys to invest in the trenches right because we know the importance of protecting our quarterback that was one thing they definitely prioritized right bringing in guys like Robert hunt which that's basically one of the things they said in this article now you want to provide obviously was one of the major positives was obviously providing young with better protection um obviously when they made those investment on both of those guys it was a clear message that they were obviously serious about improving the offensive line and supporting Bryce young now I want to say my favorite one out of all because I got to learn more about the caps space and I was using over the cap and all the other platforms I got to learn a lot and teach myself about how the Caps how cap space works but the biggest offseason move for me the most major one I mean now there's four of them but my most major positives I would say for the C Panther this off season was getting the guidance under Brandt Tillis getting that financial management cuz they to they have taken the necessary have taken steps to address the previous Financial mismanagement that they've already had right so I thought it was a strategic approach to the contracts um great roster management um which restored Financial stability to this team we if you go look at the guys that we all signed this offseason and we're only paying them 1.125 million a season we're eating $48 million in that dead cap we'll have no dead cap in 2025 and then we'll we'll start the contracts of those guys so you paved the way for your future with financial flexibility and yes they had to make tough decisions and they had to avoid and they avoided short-term fixes but they laid the groundwork at least from a financial standpoint to have some success long term for the future I thought that was the biggest thing for me okay that was y four Dave I could agree with that I I mean I agree with flame for Jesus um yeah the CL I think I I definitely agree with the Dave Canalis Dan Morgan thing it was more of a collaborative approach right between those two guys for sure owners and but another thing we have to say I mean do y'all still now here's the thing looking at this man right here okay looking at this man right here okay I think looking at this man right here guys do you think that the owner looking at David terer this man right here do you think he has reduced his involvement because I could say that's one of the major offseason moves which they mentioned that in this article so it made me think could they could have it red has he reduced his ownership or involvement so to speak because he came out after that press conference with Dan Morgan and Canalis to take a backseat in football operation he said that after that press conference but has he really has he really diminished his involvement has he really allowed Morgan and Canalis to shape this team at roster the way that they truly see it has he really entrusted the football guys making the football decisions I mean has teer found his new new Restraint of sigal to renew a focus on building a competitive and sustainable franchise for the long term has he really settled down are we for sure on that do we believe in that yeah that's true now that his informants George pickings was right there too both of them were getting open but how the hell does Kenny does Kenny picket not get the ball to him I didn't mean I didn't mean Canalis by the way traps up so I mean I wouldn't say he's much of a c a cast away when he's got a route tree like that and that's his open percentage on those routes by the way if you can't see that I'll make it bigger I think Deontay Johnson's going to surprise a lot of people I really do I really do I let me see his stats past couple years need to double check his stats real [Music] quick wow okay so he's had I mean he's had better stats than anybody else on our team last year damn so I'm just saying I wouldn't consider mastway with a route tree like that I just wouldn't that's just me though my opinion all right one more see if there's any uh intriguing news uh all right that that's crazy to think about says here the bills wanted to trade I know this says is NFL rumors but again it says that the bills wanted to trade Stefon digs to the Texans so bad that they actually added cap space not reducing who is this damn Brock right the Texans are the first team in NFL history to acquire players coming off a thousand yard receiving thousand yards rushing and 10 sacks in one off season interesting interesting this has been some interest interesting stuff today all right yeah true who's Texans GM well done I get that I get that but I think you're going to have character issues no matter what in the NFL it's not going to matter who it who what player it is there's always going to be that one guy on the team that has character issues there's always that one guy all right embarrassment of riches leavs Carolina with wide receiver slam dunk so this article was very interesting to me today too I I go on Sports Illustrated cat cray uh I go to a lot of guys um and I do a lot of reading I read a lot of Articles just so y'all know it helps me brainstorm a lot when it comes to content creation but I read a lot of Articles just to to sound smart sometimes you know it's nice to sound smart sometimes um but all right so we all know that this team is definitely going to get a wide receiver okay we all know that this team is going to get a wide receiver in the um what with even I know this fite not holding a first round selection so we know we have the 33rd overall pick um I still think that they're going to bolster up this wide receiver room whatever you want to acknowledge that or not they definitely need a d more Dynamic Playmakers on the offense but obviously particularly we've been saying it in the wide receiver group now we know that Bryce Young's rookie season show some glimpses I would say showcase some glimpses um but he also had lack of talent around him whether you want to believe that um or not okay you L but we we parted ways with DJ Moore right and we had to replenish our wide receiver options for this guy and then you get Dan Morgan you can bring in Dave Canales they've prioritized surrounding Bryce young with as of now I wouldn't say skill players I would say they probably that one skill player which was Deontay Johnson but I again they bolstered up that offensive line now that we're basically just looking forward to the 2024 draft us possessing the 33rd and 39th overall selection that offers us multiple options now depending on what teams go in the first round at w the wide receiver position it'll depend on who we go with right and who will be there um now the depth of this year's wide receiver class obviously presents some wealthy choices wealth there's a lot okay to have that opportunity to get a guy who fits our offense compliment young right there's plethora of talent available now Marvin Harrison Jr you can forget about it Malik neighbors you can forget about Rader who's my favorite receiver in this draft forget about it um but they do have the flexibility to get other different styles of players for this offense now I would say whether it's a pro getting a guy who can go up and get the ball like Keon Coleman you get the Speedster like we've said before talked about Xavier worthy or we get the route running technician of Jaylen pulk which I'm surprised none of y'all who are all lad and parasol route Runner guys haven't looked at Jaylen pulk guys's got a route tree too um I don't think Panthers could go wrong with some of those names I mentioned of course legat monk again um Adonia Mitchell um Troy Franklin list goes on and on the other guys right but there's a diversity of skill sets among the receivers prospects in this draft and that any of these players that we choose by by the Panthers will contribute to our offense and I think a positive way for sure whether it's adding whether we add more explosiveness whether we add afterthe Arch catch ability Malachi Corley for example route running Precision which I mentioned a guy earlier but again parasol mon monin each Prospect in this draft offers a unique skill set that's what I want to you to understand when it comes to this draft class and what this article is kind of mentioning too there's a unique skill set in each and every one of these wide receivers that can align with our offense and what we Vision it to look like again ultimately though it comes down to the fact that Our Fate In in this team though is and Bryce Young's development and growth right that's what it ultimately comes down to for this team to have success not just in 2024 but in the for the years to come so the focus does still remain on selecting talented football players who can make immediate impact on the team with the abundance of of quality receivers available in this draft class so the Panthers have the opportunity to infuse their offense with playmaking ability um needed to support Bryce and in his development and help him move forward now is that g to happen I can't predict that I need to see it showcased on the field but can't say that that's going to happen ah draft said that's true is he GNA have a sophomore slump or not that's very true time sometimes it's time to have a fresh start man yeah I still agree with that trap set I still believe today we should have traded Burns and we should have kept DJ Mo to this day I still agree with that you got a point there Landry I can't argue with that I can't argue with that all I got to say is he better
