Exposing My Income Streams How I Made My First Million Online in South Africa

in this video allow me to share with you the exact things that I personally have done to generate or to earn my first million Rands while living in South Africa strictly working online now I know there are tons of videos out there especially on YouTube that talk to you about so many different ways of making money online in fact I share a lot of them on my YouTube channel but today I want to show you the eight exact things that I personally do that have contributed to me making my first million Rand now if you're not from South Africa a million Rands is equal to between 55 and 57,000 depending on the current rate of the day and the reason why I'm sharing this is not so that I can brag and say hey look at me I'm the man I got so much money in my pocket but it's hopefully to inspire someone to show you that hey you actually can provide your own solution for yourself rather than waiting for a job because lots of us live in different countries and economies where we struggle to get jobs and I'll tell you my personal story um shortly but also you don't have to wait until maybe you finish school for you to have a qualification and then you can start doing stuff and then the other reason why I'm also sharing this is I want to show you what I personally have done so that hopefully you get one idea that you can try which is going to help you to start making money so if you like the idea of making money online this is my story this is what I've done hopefully you can do the same for yourself so my first stream of income I discovered it couple of years ago I think it was maybe 2013 2014 somewhere there but I was studying in University and then my parents told me Marshall you have to drop out cuz we can't afford to pay for your fees anymore I don't know if you ever been in that situation I had to fight my first job and I got a job in sales for um computer sales company and we would sell computers we would fix computers and yeah that was basically it I was in the job I think for nearly a year it taught me a few skills gave me the courage and boldness to actually approach people and try and sell products to them but the best skill I learned from that job was trying to figure out how to build websit online because I was tsed with building the website for that particular company uh that company then closed I lost my job uh I then asked I just said that then said to myself okay why don't I try and do the same thing that I was doing for that company but then I do it for myself and then I found another friend who was also selling computers and I partnered with him and then I started working on the website I started working on marketing the business through social media and I was actually doing quite well with it and then when my breakthrough actually worked came out is um I was part of this Facebook group of Americans who were also learning how to build their own websites for them they were building websites to sell online courses and I was there because I wanted to ask questions that would help me to understand how to do this business more but I noticed that a lot of people kept on commenting asking for help to build websites and then one day I just volunteered and said okay yes I can do this for you and then someone actually paid me my first money I think it was around $150 for a full website it was a fun job to do it was my first time um but yeah I was just figuring out this whole thing all it is discover months later that for the same job that I was doing other people were charging $1,500 $3,500 the most I had actually heard was $155,000 so I didn't know right because I was new to the whole industry but that's basically the way that I got into freelancing right that's one of the best ways that I've actually earned income online in fact I actually have got like um a free long course um that teaches you how to get into freelancing then I've also got an ebook you'll find the details about it in the description of this uh video so so number one stream of income was freelancing mainly focusing on website design my second stream of income is what's called YouTube AdSense so 2020 I decided to start a YouTube channel that would help me be accountable to myself as I was learning new ways of making money online I wanted to take online business seriously so I said okay the best way that I can be serious about it is if I constantly post videos about what I am doing and then I started my channel and I don't know how much it was later I realized that actually people are watching and people are commenting and they're asking me how do you do this how do you do that so then I then just decided okay let me continue with this YouTube thing exactly one year and 3 months later I got a notification from YouTube saying that I now qualify for AdSense meaning that I now can get paid for creating videos and advertisers would put their adverse on top of my videos and then I'll get paid part of the revenue that those advertisers pay to YouTube but I'll just put a screenshot here that you can see in the past four four or five years of me doing YouTube I've earned up to $20,000 if you convert that into rents it comes up to around 3 and something thousand R just by simply creating content posting it on YouTube and no you don't have to limit yourself to posting content like me where I talk about making money online in fact a lot of people make way more money than me in different niches it's just all about you figuring out okay this is the type of content that people want to watch and I personally can doing YouTube and my YouTube channel started growing a lot of companies started reaching out to me asking me to create adverts on my own YouTube channel and then that brings me to my third stream of income which is brand sponsorships brand sponsorships simply means that this compan is pay you to create either short adverts or full dedicated videos about their products now how much they actually pay you also to on your location because I've kind of noticed that a lot of these people they look down on us because we are in Africa they feel like they don't want they don't want or they don't need to pay as a lot of money so I found myself getting paid as low as maybe $100 for um just maybe a video uh clip maybe 30 second or 60 seconds then you put it onto any one of your videos you're just simply mentioning the company and what it does and then you link then you put a link to their business in the description and then the most I personally have been paid is 20,000 brands for a full dedicated video it's just above uh $1,000 so if you are thinking about creating a YouTube channel that's another way that you also be earning and monetizing your channel income stream number four is consultation now because I have learned a lot of ways of earning income online I've developed some skills and some people pay me for those skills for example some people pay me to teach them how to create and launch an online course some people pay me to teach them how to start their own website design business some people pay me to teach them how to um do affiliate marketing Drop Shipping and a whole lot of other things and you know the funny part about being a consultant or working in consultancy is that all these skills I learned them from watching YouTube videos so because there are thousands of videos out there a lot of people you know they shiny object syndrome you don't know what to watch I have taken the time to watch a lot of that content and I figured out how things work and then I can now sell that as a self-developed skill I don't have any certifications I don't have uh degrees and phds like other people have but I have the skills that help people to make money and then therefore people are willing to pay me for that so also you personally I don't know what your background is and what skills you have you might have some skills that if you just simply create content about your skills you have people who actually will be reaching out to you and asking you um can you please teach me how to do this and then you're going to they're going to be paying you some good money then income stream number five is online courses now this one works similar to the one that I just mentioned the consultations but the difference is that you take the content and then you package it meaning that someone can buy it at any time and then get access to the content whereas consultations it's a one-on-one call we get onto a zoom call maybe they in America I South Africa and then we are talking and then I'm training them one by one now I've got my own website where I've got long courses and short courses uh the link is also going to be in the description of this video some of them are free some of them are paid for but they're basically courses that teach people how to do the stuff that I person do now allow me to just say this about courses one big mistake that a lot of people make about courses is that they assume that because I bought a course it therefore guarantees or means that I'm going to get a certain result there's no course that can guarantee you results if you are the one who's meant to do the work and then you don't do the work I have had courses before where I got people signed up and I made a lot of money and and all or most of my students didn't make any money at all and I really would feel bad in I'm black you know what maybe I should stop selling this course because students are not making money then I realized that you know sometimes like the skills that I learned they took me 8 years 9 years of learning them and implementing and doing and and most of my time in those 98 years were me failing I kept on trying and out fail a try and out fail and a try and out fail and then I finally succeed most people nowaday just want a course that will make them succeed from day one those courses do not exist there's nothing like that in the world in in this real world there's no business that you just start from day one and then it just succeeds you have to put the time you have to put the effort you have to put in a lot of work into getting that results so if you're looking for a course that will just change your life instantly my friend don't believe anyone who will tell you that that's how things are it doesn't work that way if you're not willing to put in the effort and have consistency there's no cost that's going to change anything in your life then income stream number six is software so luckily for me as I was watching all the different videos posting my own video content on my YouTube channel I discovered that people are actually making money from software and so I was inspired by this company which is called click funnels which basically helps people to uh do Lear learing pages and funnels and I was like you know what these guys are really really so expensive can I come up with my own solution which is similar which can actually help people and then I came up with my own business which is called Creator HQ I'm sure you've seen me talk about it on different videos it's basically a website that you can go and use to build your own websites your funnels and do email marketing without you having to learn how to code anyone can build a website on the first day of actually trying in affiliate marketing affiliate marketing is a process where you identify companies with great products and then you um I can say you sign a contract with them that if you promote their products to people that you know or to your audience they will give you a certain percentage of the amount of money that the people will pay for those products so I've got so many different products that I actually promote on my channel and other ways that I actually promote but whenever I get someone to click a link and sign up actually removing money to pay for something I get paid for that and in my view this is like one of the simplest and easiest businesses that you can ever start to give you an example of how simple and easy this is one of the things that I personally do is that I started another YouTube channel where I just review softwares now people are always looking for what's the best software to do this the best software to do to do that so I just simply do my research to see what other things that people are searching for like for example which is the best website design software and then I find softwares that can build websites right without people having to code and then I simply join up as an affiliate on those different websites and then I create videos where I'm just explaining saying that okay this is the best website software to use and then I explain why and then I show people how to actually use it and then I put a link in the description guess what happens people watch those videos they click my link after 30 days I just check in my PayPal account or in my bank account you've received $30 you've received $40 from what what company why because someone signed up as an affiliate they paid and then I get my commission it's that simple and easy you've also seen people on Tik Tok or on Instagram just recommending some products or some clothes that they may be bought for themselves saying that okay click the link in the bio to also buy it for yourself that's an example of affiliate marketing and then income stream number eight is is flipping stuff on Facebook what I mean is that I sometimes buy and sell stuff on Facebook like if I find someone is in my location and they're selling their car let's say maybe for 60,000 R and I look at the car I see that okay this is actually a very good car and I'm and I'm curious okay why are they selling it so cheap maybe they've got an emergency or something that's why they need the cash fast I can buy that car and then repost it again at a higher price like maybe 90,000 R and then I make that 30,000 R difference the reason why I'm able to earn money that way way is because maybe I've got that 60,000 r a weight lying around and I'm not using it for anything and then that person needs money quickly and therefore I buy that product and then because I'm not in a rush to get money back I'm able to wait until I find a buyer who buys at my the price that I want you can so you can sell anything you can sell from like for example stuff that you're no longer using in your house like some old sofas some old clothes maybe an old laptop there's always someone who wants to buy what you have so you can make it a habit to spend time on Facebook Market place looking for products that are being sold for cheap you buy them some of them you need to maybe fix them up and then refurbish them and then you just resell them again on Facebook because you will definitely find someone who wants that thing and the reason why this works is because not everyone is on Facebook at the same time the person who wants that thing for more expensive does not necessarily go to Facebook the same time that person who is selling that thing for cheap is actually there so you just buy it and then you sell it later on to the other person and like I said there are many other ways that I have been making money online and I've shed them on this YouTube Channel but these eight ones are the ones that I've been most consistent with and they the ones that have contributed the most to helping me make my first 1 million Rand what line now let's bring it back to you now that you've learned this what are some of the things that you need to take away from this video first and foremost I did not make a million Rands at one goal it was an accumulation it was over a period of time people think that if you say that you've made a million RS it means that you just did one thing or you just pressed one button and then suddenly all the money is now in your bank account but no it takes time and it takes effort I would recommend that you just find one thing or choose one of these methods that I mentioned learn about it more I've got some free courses they Linked In the description below or learn from YouTube channels or from blogs out there it doesn't have to be my own content learn about that thing and then start implementing it don't just say I want to make 50,000 in 2 weeks commit yourself and say that okay I'm willing to spend time on this business for the next 6 months because if you commit for the next 6 months to learn one thing and do it let me tell you you're going to make more money than you have ever made in your whole life because you could have start and establish a working business that can change your life but the reason why people never get to that stage is because people are not patient enough people are not consistent enough and people are not willing to try and so your goal should not be I want to become a millionaire fast but your goal should be I want to start something that's going to bring me to a point whereby I have got Financial Freedom I've got time freedom I can do whatever I want then when you are there and the money is taking care of itself you then can start stealing it and investing it in many different other things that will help you to make your first million and more let me know in the comment section which one of these you likeed the
