pointe shoe fitter reacts to MISTY COPELAND on Jimmy Kimmel

hey it's Josephine from the point shop we are reacting to Misty Copeland gives Jimmy Kimmel a ballet lesson let's go I read an article about Misty Copeland the ballet dancer you're familiar with Missy is a very interesting person I love this Guillermo a private lesson a lesson that really changed dude the amount of dancers that would die for this lesson this private lesson thank you oh my God why do they always do this it took 47 years and a hell and it's like not even a good tutu look at this it's like flipped up it's not even their size this is upsetting can I can I dress you finally discovered that I'm like oh my God it's ballet why do they always do that it's like everything's a joke come on look at her perfect hello hi look at her face she's not amused she's not amused she's thinking exactly what I'm thinking like this is not a joke I just like to really hairy yeah well you know what I think that it could be a good thing you know a little bit of hair in in the ballet right as long as you have a beautiful shape yeah well obviously [Music] obviously you know actually his legs are amazing we'd never be ballerinas and um we decided to come to you to prove them wrong prove them wrong I think I'm the person for that yeah I don't want to touch what could be a masterpiece so I want to see what you guys oh okay look at how gracious she is okay you want to come around to the bar and show me this way I do this right okay and look at his legs you try maybe holding on to the bar first all under the bar okay there you go you actually have really gorgeous legs yeah I've been telling you for life look at his turnout when Misty complimented my legs I was very flattered and I also say that she has a pretty good body too that's so creepy Mercedes chin and now plie and then straighten I I have an idea of what your strengths and weaknesses are from a plie besides the body here um yes oh I do okay all right she's being she's being so gracious but she's really thinking like yo I'm gonna kill you in this ballet less it looks so easy when you do it it should look easy that's why we should look easy for hours our whole lives I'm blaming on him he took me to lunch three slices of pizza yeah there was a lot of Pizza in a calzone we'd be ballerinos he would be a dancer oh there's there's no such thing as a ballerina that seems very sexist to me like that you gotta keep those hips still your hips don't lie remember that Guillermo oh yeah I mean I I I have like mixed feelings about this because on the one hand I'm so excited that Bali just made it into the mainstream and I'm just glad that Misty's doing a great job but on the other hand it's like whenever men bring in ballets just all for comedic effect so it's just making fun oh gosh I don't know I don't know how to feel about this I'm extremely nervous about this performance for them my hope is that they don't fall and hurt themselves and Grandma kick at least they're not doing point shoes right now I don't think I've watched this already in its entirety so oh oh we're ready to put on our pointe shoes all right and foot in oh you've got yours in a nice little bow already yeah whose shoes are these I'm here [Laughter] all right now that's actually their size they must have gotten someone to give them their size rise look at this tutu on Jimmy there we go oh come on this is painful You Look so Sad gear this is hard she's a strict teacher you know she was pushing us to do more and more and on my house telling me yeah but my body was telling me no it starts with the very first step that the swans do in the second act so you're going to start with the tan levay tan levay on what tape and you follow each other around is that clear crystal five six seven eight Tom what are you doing my friend um what tape none of those things would crush you keep snakey she did none of them something like that something like that not exactly but isn't this good though she looks horrified um no this is what you guys are doing she still looks good doing that though you know ballet is a very competitive world and you just get somebody like me who shows up and is just immediately good at it keep doing it you're doing it you're doing it and it had to bother her I mean she's worked at this her whole life and I just stroll in and master it but keep the legs in front of you that little bit like the Running Man we've got a little bit more time left before the performance and I think they're going to be great I hope okay I don't think we're gonna get any farther with that step but you came a long way yeah we came from California yeah that's five hours and a half we're gonna continue to jump okay so we're gonna stand in fifth position like that that's third position but one day you'll get to fifth you're gonna jump straight up I'm all for third positions let's bring back third position I'm all for it actually Jimmy's kind of impressive into the tutu area okay you should keep that to yourself surprise he's trying to get off my body when you dance like I do every ballet is the Nutcracker two three and since you're in a two two ballerina how did they even find leotards for these people change two three four step side and bow ballet was born in Italy more than 600 years ago and today it died now at least she's having a great time with it wow they flew all the way to New York to do this it's amazing it's so pretty [Music] [Applause] I cannot oh kind of [Music] look at Misty stunning [Music] at least they're not they just like went up on point at the bar and they're not actually trying to perform with it that would be horrifying okay maybe a little bit oh my God [Applause] they're like we're not going to trust Jimmy to hold her so we're gonna actually have a dance from behind this is hilarious so great okay that was pretty funny I'm not sure when that was from but seven years ago wow it's still I thought that was still pretty funny have you met Mr Copeland I did I met Misty at a conference where we're both speaking I was just a little lame person giving like a point to seminar and she was the main show obviously and she is just as gracious and wonderful as you imagine her to be she is awesome and I'm just so happy that she made ballet such a mainstream thing I I love her if you would like us to react to anything else leave that on the comments and
