hello everyone welcome to B Province today we're going to look at dear de Roan's response towards Anthony Edwards comments about the 80s and the 90s players not being extremely skilled and that the only player skilled back then was Michael Jordan to this dear D Roan responded back on the recent podcast of Paul George where dear Roi was a guest and Pa George asked him about his reaction towards the comments that were made by Anthony Edwards so this was dear's response we never would have made no statement like that right right you see what I'm saying because regardless at the end of the day I respect every OG whoever played this game this game was built on the foundation of taking steps of wherever it came from and I never discredit wherever the lead was at 20 years ago because it's all about you know elevating you know and granted I only read the headlines of he said I don't know what context further he went into to further explain explain it but if you look at it back then it was those guys still was incredible like you can't tell me it wasn't no skillful guys around just because at the time you you have such a Phenom of a athletic freak and Michael Jordan don't discredit everybody else right we had one of the the best bigs that ever play this game hakee Alan play in the 90s that was the SK he the most skilled big I I didn't seen play in the 90s so basically in this clip we look at dear Rosen was in favor off the players of the 80s and the '90s he clearly stated the fact you know what we have to give homage and respect towards the players they played the game earlier and have paved the way for each and every person that is playing right now he talked about Michael Jordan's athleticism extremely subor but at the same time he also mentioned Scotty Pippen and for those of you who don't know there is no Michael Jordan's six Championship without s b as simple as that Scotty bin was actually phenomenal player was a dominant player at his position for those of who don't know he was actually guarding individuals who were 67 610 69 because that was what Michael Jordan was not doing Michael Jordan was guarding two Gods Pippen was guarding uh point forwards and sentence as well on certain occasions he talked about that and then he also talked about one of the biggest uh big man ever which was Hakim Maan and he said that he has the best skill set ever to which Paul George also and that is a fact I think what most people have a tendency to do of this generation is to neglect the players who played earlier all the way you know we can go back to bir Chamberlain Jing bestest B Russell k jaah people have a tendency to forget everything that they have done uh what people need to look at is the contributions each and every one of them have created and have made towards the game that is being played right now whether it was Bill Russell's uh pan and his fights and his commitment towards black community whether it was Will Chamberlin flamboy in nature and he became the first black athlete ever to actually get a million dollars to play the sport of basketball whether it was Karim ABD Jabar back then who was syor who actually stood up for the right of black men and had a great opinion about his thought process and also about the way the word was going whether it was Asar Robertson who changed the game at the point guard position whether it was Magic Johnson who made Showtime makers who made the game so energetic so fluid but at the same time droo worthy that each and every time everybody would watch the the Sham Lakers they would go with Bonkers and they would GL to their stream or whether it was Larry Bird who in his own way with his subtle trash St made the game much more compelling at the same time competitive along with mat Johnson PA that game Michael Jordan took the uh NBA to a whole another 11 with the skill at athleticism and Charisma then was Sir Charles then it was jennis Rodman with his flam boy nature again then came Kobe briot and Shaq who again created a legacy of their own and then it was Tim Duncan Then Came Of course course LeBron James who globalized the game again and took it to another level all these players have contributed to the game of what it is today there wouldn't be no $200 million contracts had these players not played the game and had paid the way for the players that are playing right now so tar roen for sure he has recently signed with Sacramento Kings and is is no bum he's one of all time Gades he's a mid-range Lether shooter he's a phenomenal player everybody knows that when he goes hard he goes hard and he literally dominates the game from mid-range at the same time he has a great athleticism as well I think people have a tendency to forget the players that have that have played earlier I think deand Rosen along with B George and other individuals who are playing the game literally give homage to other players who played earlier and this is a kind of a learning point for I think individuals like Anthony Edwards would just make nonchalant comments about the fact you know what or nobody really had skills of back then and everybody was just a b and Michael Jordan was the one you know could do everything I think that is um some ludis I think what dear did was in who actually came out in defense of the ' 80s and the 90s player was actually a beautiful statement and a beautiful standpoint for himself but at the same time from the standpoint of a fan what he did was absolutely phenomenal and I think uh what we as individuals and fans should do if you're not a fan of a player if you're a fan of the game basketball as all if you're not a fan of Jordan kby in thebr or P or Chamberlain if just fan of the game then I think everybody and every fan of the game should actually respect and G hom to the players who have played the game and have paid the way the game which we view as today on our platforms there there there's no Anthony Edwards there's no tyus halberton no luuka nothing of that sort had those players not had done their part incredibly and they are faced ups and downs Bill Russell and Bill Chamberlain Jerry West Oscar Robertson elen Baylor Bob Koozie they were not getting $50 million $80 million nothing of that sort right I think players of today should appreciate what the players have passed done but at the same time I think what dear did other NBA players should also come out and support because what that would do is we give a reality check to young players like Anthony Edwards who have this monant attitude that you know what we can say whatever we want to dude you haven't won anything first thing first you were you might think that you have the best athleticism in the world you have their atheism but who Michael Jordan nobody is but I think people are just making this ludicrous comments oh he's Michael Jordan's son he's sort of like Michael Jordan nobody's a Michael Jordan Michael Jordan is 101 you all know what Michael Jordan was go back to 84 to 92 93 highlights you don't look at 95 96 98 highlights of my J look at the early highlights of micro JM you will understand what iss was you understand what fear was but that doesn't really mean other players were bums I don't know but at Edwards has not won five championships four Championship doesn't have three4 NBS doesn't have the scoring title nothing of that S as a matter of fact if anybody actually looked back the P series he wasn't the most dominant player he was doing his part but it wasn't that he was scoring 30 points 40 points in every game in those Series so I think people just to need to look at all the aspects and then make comments so for sure from my style board as a fan I generally believe Demar did the right thing and I think other players other fans other Witnesses of the game s to come out in support of the player but at the same time appreciate and be grateful for the players of past what they have done there is no game of NBA today had me those players of the past have not done what they did for us so I think that would be all for today everybody till the next time thank you everybody
