guess who is suing the Guess Who hello this is Gary Stucky with real music is that a question or a statement well it could be both but you know I've always loved the manand The Guess Who right American Woman these eyes no time you know those songs great songs they've been favorites for years you know and of course Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings have not been in the band for a long time they continued through like the '90s and they've released albums Gary Peterson is the only original member left the drummer uh and the band's been recording some albums they got a brand new album out called playing deamore and uh yeah there's the guys there's Randy Bogman and um Burton Cummings two talented guys uh you know the sound uh that they created was just amazing you know they they have a lot to say about the sound and the success of the band but I thought that was settled years ago you know this band the new band they're doing great you in my opinion they don't sound like the old man but now they're being sued by Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings and there's a news article yesterday about this situation uh the founding members of The Guess Who Burton Cummings and Randy Bachmann filed in federal court in Los Angeles a false advertising lawsuit in response to a group of hired musicians who have been touring and recording using the band's name in addition according to the lawsuit these hired musicians have been using photographs that include Cummings and Bachman to create the false impression that the hired cover band is the original The Guess Who and I like the new guess who like I said before I got a brand new album I've interviewed Gary Peterson the original drummer and Michael stto the new guitarist uh he's been with them for a while but I mean these guys are doing great I thought that everything was worked out you know they've been doing this for years and my number one question is you know and I'm I'm not taking sides I'm just saying why did they wait all this time to come out and say something and try to sue and say that they're using this and that that's just my question it's been a long time and uh it seems like they could work something out I mean those guys have been touring before uh and they're great you know here's an idea why not just leave it alone because I think by now people understand um that they're not with them anymore and if not just you know make that announcement I guess they could put that in the uh heading of some kind of post or flyer or whenever they're doing a concert you know um but by them saying you know this is a cover band you know you go to that old saying you a lot of people use you know it's a cover band you know I guess to hurt them I don't know but it's just they're a great band uh separately then uh Cummings and Bachman I mean those two guys you know are awesome too you know so I'm just saying let's just work it out people come on but uh The Guess Who still an amazing band today still going and I hope all the best hey thanks for watching everybody be sure to subscribe if you haven't already and always remember to keep the music real
