um yeah I mean I'm super I'm super proud of myself that I was able to um to take myself out of such a tough situation and and being able to fight again and be able to show my best tennis and I'm super proud of myself proud of my team that uh uh no matter what we stay together uh we fight for the same dream and even though it was like really close tight match and it went uh to to eite I'm anyway I'm happy with the with the level uh with the level I played with the effort I put into this match and into this week um so yeah it's a lot of good things to take out of this tournament and uh um I think I'm living Madrid with uh with the positive thoughts and yeah can't wait to come back here next year last year next year questions please did I covered all your questions right now in one good touch all bases but Arena what made the difference today in your opinion H if I would know probably I would be here with the trophy no I think you know like in this kind of matches it's just uh just like few points you know probably when I broke her in the third set I just uh should have been more um focused on my surve but at the same time it's not like I double folded it just like she played great tennis and she broke me back and I think it's not about that I just think it's just you know um she just played a little bit better on on those key moments um and yeah that's it uh Arena when when it's a close match like this and you had match points and and she had match points before getting her match points in the end and all that is it a bit easier to to swallow a loss like this or is it tougher I think it's tougher especially REM remembering um all your thoughts on all your match points and the way you play it and that's it was just you know like too close I think it's it's tougher but for me you know like I I'm going to suffer for a day and uh tomorrow I'm leaving to Rome so I'm going to forget it uh quickly and it's my birthday tomorrow I hope I'm going to be in a good mood but anyway I'm going to be in a good mood I'm 26 tomorrow it's you know it [Music] sucks um but um it's a tough one you know it's a tough one to accept but at the same time it's not like you lost the match easily and you didn't do your best I think I gave it all today and um I just can be proud of myself and hopefully like we spoke on the on the on the court next year it goes to my side hi ARA despite for um you spoken on the court on the difficult months you've been through uh would you consider that the the arena of Australian Open his back um yeah I think um I think so I think after after Australia Open I struggled for a couple of months uh it's been intense and it was tough to uh find myself back but I'm super happy that uh here in Madrid I was able to uh to bring it all together and to be able to um yeah to just to get back uh to get back to my level and um I think it's you know it's only can get better from now on and yeah I'm excited for the next couple of weeks and yeah hopefully I can do uh once again a little bit better than here sorry Reena in the last press conference you said that last year's final was one of maybe the best final that you'd played and and probably the best clay match that you've played where do you rank it to today I know the loss hurts but it seemed that you were very high level today in terms of consistent depth managing your emotions serving well is is is this an even better form than than last year's I would say it's one out of 10 but no I'm kidding of course definitely it was such a high level tennis and I think it was even though I lost this one I think the level was much higher and uh um yeah yeah I actually I agree I think this this this year it was much higher level than last year and that's that's a good thing same question Arena you spent so much time on the court this whole tournament uh I think five of your six matches were three setters stuff like that was it easy for was it enjoyable for you to get back to this grind or did you feel it in your body and you felt like it was too much tennis no I actually I I mean it was really tough it was it was really intense uh uh matches but I actually I really enjoyed it and I know that every time when I'm like uh kind of like facing my down and every time to bring myself back I need to go through this uh tough matches through this uh tough fights and I was really enjoying because I was feeling that I'm I'm getting back in in track and that was really enjoyable to play those TP three sets matches and you know like in I mean I've be I've beat uh great players here in mrid uh they they all been in incredible uh shape and I was able to somehow manage to get the win um so yeah I think I I really enjoyed these couple of weeks even though it was really tough matches I really enjoyed it you've played some roller coasters against uh IGA do you consider it this uh rivalry as a and your matches as a can be a classic in the future uh wow that's a big question um that's just the thing I really want to see I really want to see many more finals against her and I want to see more wins than loses but um I really hope that we'll be able to um to keep the level or even increase the level every year and just to be um one of those three it's uh that's that's amazing and I'm really happy to be one of this uh uh big three you call us um yeah that's a pleasure you know and um it's really motivating me a lot to keep working and to to keep keep improving myself uh just so I stay there and then then um kind of like you know just be there and get as many wins against them as as I can arena in the third that it seemed like you were the front runner it seemed like you were the one that was imposing your game what does she do that's that stops you from being able to kind of run away it felt like it felt like you were just on the cusp of just kind of getting getting breaking ahead of her and she kind of didn't let you and I just was wondering from your perspective what she did better uh well yeah I felt like it's it's getting close to the point when you can like run away quite far but um um I think on was it 31 I was right I think I didn't serve my best and and she just stepped in and she made the incredible returns put me um under pressure a lot and I think that was kind of like the switch point for her where she came back in the match and we uh we kind of like get back on that high level but yeah I had my opportunities and I wouldn't say that I kind of like missed them or lost them it was just you know like it was just incredible play from her and I think that's the lesson I have to learn how to um not let them do this thing you know and and yeah that's it question last one I know um tennis obviously moves quickly and Rome is next week just curious at this moment now what when you think of Rome like what comes to mind are you excited to continue this form are you ready to just sleep for a whole day and and relax here well actually I have really early flight tomorrow you know so I'm probably not going to sleep uh tonight but uh the the first thing comes to my mind I'm ready for pasta pasta pizza and lots of gelato uh but yeah it's it's it's really fast you know we don't have much time to relax enjoy and or drink um but you know like I'm I'm I'm happy that I'm top City there and I'll I'll have uh I'll have buy so I have couple extra days to to recover to enjoy Rome to enjoy this amazing pasta and pizza and everything where I'm not able to eat during the um tournament uh but I'm excited it's one of my favorite tournaments it's uh such a beautiful facility and beautiful city I love Rome and I'm excited to get back there okay thank you very thank you thank you
