with Hanan reic not coming the Jets have another trick up their sleeve what's up Jets fans this is green bean hanging out down here in Miami no I did not feel the need to uh do my hair as they say I'm just going at it Freedom today's the day of freedom but so here we are it is opening NFL weekend we are all excited the Jets are not playing on Sunday they are playing on Monday night as you know and we could be excited about so many things but we have one big thorn in our side named Hassan reic the Pro Bowl All Pro level pass rusher is now willing to die on his sword the reports say he's willing to throw all his money in the toilet just to prove a point what it boils down to for us that the Jets are out this pass rusher but just this past week I don't know if you saw this and I wanted to make mention that while we will be without Hassan reic on Monday night it just so turns out happens to be goodness that a another pass rusher on the New York Jets say sort of a a a dark horse if you will has recently received accolades as one of the if not the premier undrafted free agent Edge rusher in this year's draft class so Braden McGregor played 53 pass rush snaps eight pressures three sacks and had a 20.8% pass rush win rate this preseason also had a pressure in every single game that he played all three preseason games now that would have put him eight in the uh pass rusher list last year the eighth best pass rush win rate of the entire League last year now we're not trying to say he is going to be Hassan Ric or that our our our woses are in the past or anything but it does remind us that Bryce Huff everybody the guy that we are all upset the Jets didn't replace was also an undrafted free agent and while it took him a little while to kind of become the Bryce Huff that we know today he showed flashes right from the Geto so the Jets the reason they let him go is because they don't view him as a three down Edge rusher that he's merely a pass rush specialist and Braden McGregor has the similar weakness in the Run game that's kind of where he shows a little bit of his ass so to speak so if they can if they can get him on the field I don't know 10 15% of the plays fresh just on pass thrush Downs there might be a little bit more production than maybe we think an undrafted free agent would provide so while we definitely would prefer to have a Hassan reic on the field suited up playing for the Jets it's not a bad happen stance let's call it that the Jets are actually pretty deep at the edge rusher position so many years we didn't have a Germaine Johnson we didn't have a Will McDonald On Deck and now we have Braden McGregor also tack kley Michael Clemens those kinds of guys the dline is actually pretty stocked so for a year to not have the guy not bad considering let me know what do you expect from Braden McGregor anything do you think he'll do anything do you think it uh kind of cools the burn so to speak at all to have a guy that look if you're going to be an undrafted free agent you're going to play in the preseason and you're going to do well it's nice to see that he was among the best not just a guy who looked like he's got promise he borderline dominated 20.8% pass rush win rate let me know what you think are you expecting anything out of this guy we got to replace jfm Huff Quinton Jefferson alwoods and the like we got Tac McKinley Braden McGregor Michael Clemens Germaine Johnson will McDonald's kinlaw F2 Leonard Taylor III not a bad replacement batch that's what I'm trying to say here so guys enjoy football Sunday let me know what you think about Braden McGregor and the rest of the group in the comments how you feeling about reic are you done I'm pretty done let me know guys have a great day and as always go checks [Music] a [Music]
