to Napoli in the upcoming hours for Osan Chelsea it seems pushing hard for a number nine in the next couple of days um if it was a if it was a straight shootout between Ivan Tony and Victor aaman who would you prefer to have I think from Chelsea perspective what they need from a number nine is someone that's no one guarantees goals because moves can go in different ways but I feel like Tony is more of a sure thing for for Chelsea than Osman at the moment I think osman's had a difficult 12 months I think his stock has fallen I think there's more question marks over aan than there would have been 12 months ago I think with Ivan Tony he's probably not a pure goal scorer like aan but what I think he does do I think he's a very very good facilitator if you look at what Chelsea are building in in the front positions in terms of of the players that play wide and the players that that play number 10 I think there's potentially a lot of goal and assist output from from the players that play in those positions and what I think Tony does as a as a number nine I think that would be more beneficial to the players that Chelsea have in the building already than what I think of of aan also I think Jackson you know you don't want to stunt his development I think there's a there's a good Striker there in Jackson I probably didn't think that when he first joined but at the second half of last season I started to watch more of him and think yeah there's something to work with here I think if Osman comes I think they've got too many similar traits and I think that would that would harm Jackson I think with Tony they're completely different Striker so although Jackson probably wouldn't play every game I think he's more likely to get football with with Tony there because they're different types of players so for me if if it was me in charge of Chelsea I I'd want Tona I'm I'm split because I think although there is the the argument that Ivan Tony is potentially a sure thing he does score a lot of penalties and I don't think Cole Palmer is going to give it pens anytime soon and a Zan as I was told by one of my friends is almost allergic to taking pens so um they won't have that debate but I do I do see the argument of bringing other players into the game but then I also think Chelsea can have so many creative players that actually just having a man who's in the box and wants to score goals in a Zan might also work in reality it's a phenomenal problem to have you've got Ivan Tony who's a premier league proven player and Victor aan who I feel like probably with all the noise going on at anapol kind of going like my time here is done I've won the scet for them he's a hero over there now can I go and do this elsewhere um and I think Chelsea feels a really good place for that to happen because although obviously Nicholas Jackson is there you'd imagine he'd come in and be the number one straight away yeah Napoli tend to be uh fairly difficult to to to do transfer deals with they're always tough negotiators um two days to go then do what's the feeling do you think that Chelsea will get a striker over the line before the deadline I mean you said it there Dave uh when we were talking about Ivan Tony initially that Chelsea want aen number nine goal scorer before the deadline so it sounds like they definitely want one but having watched them against wolves you know yes wolves defensively were a bit shaky in the second half but you look at kind of all the creativity down you mentioned all the talent they have already in house I think we have to also strip it back to what are the expectations for Chelsea this season it will be a Champions League spot I think would be successful for them you look at the squad they have you would think that that the talent in that Squad can definitely do that you know I look at the four that ended that game xia Felix Pedro Netto Cole Palmer and non manow I mean that front four is going to trouble quite a lot of defenses this season now whether Nicholas Jackson Felix scored the goals themselves we'll see but there's definitely enough goals I think in that team to challenge for top four and you know to play some really interesting football and I agree with you Dan in terms of I don't want to see Nicholas Jackson's development done because I think there's definitely a player there he's only 23 years old and I think between him and Felix playing perhaps a false nine they definitely have enough options I'd say the only like slight problem that Chelsea might have is when else are you going to have a number nine like a Zan or Ivan Tony actually available to buy when there's not that much competition I think the Temptation is probably where Chelsea are going we could get a Zan in through the Dawn no one's going after him so I'd be tempted um and obviously it's a transfer show so I just want more transfers start with what could be an incredible transfer involving jayen Sancho and Raheem Sterling both Chelsea and Manchester United are in talks over two separate deals for the players all deals are being discussed so that means a loan a loan with an obligation and a permanent deal all on the table right now Chelsea's proposal to United was always going to involve a player moving in the other direction it's thought Ben chilwell and Sterling were the players being offered any deal for Sterling would have to make Financial sense for United given the wages that are involved so once again we are heading towards a deadline day and talking about Jaden Sancho if this happens and when I say if this happens it's Sancho to Chelsea Sterling to Manchester United does it solve a problem that both sides have got right now can I shock you Dave I like this for all parties so both players both clubs I think this makes complete sense I think you've got two players at their prospective clubs that aren't at aren't in matched squads at the moment they're not going to get picked and probably not going to get picked in the in the near future Sancho to Chelsea I think he's a good fit within the makeup of their squad in terms of the age profile of the players that Chelsea have been getting in over the over over the past few Windows obviously gets him back to London as well I think Sancho at this point you were kind of touching on it the other day this next move is massive for him he needs to go somewhere and settle I feel like Chelsea would be a better environment for him than Manchester United at the moment given everything that's happened at man Manchester United for jayen Sancho for Sterling it's clear that he's Surplus to requirements if if you look at Manchester United's window what they've actually done is they've been signing a lot of players not not younger players players with with high level experien players that have played at the highest level and Raheem Sterling fits into that as well it wouldn't be clear where he'd naturally fit into their 11 at the moment you still feel like they're quite heavy on the left hand side not so heavy on the right but saying that Sterling played a lot of his best football in Manchester City from that right hand side so I just think given where both clubs are at at the moment and given where both players are at at the moment I do think that everyone will be better off with this if that makes sense I think also with regards to Raheem Sterling apparently he's nickname that Chelsea as uncle uncle Raheem um and I think United probably could do with a bit of an uncle in the four a I'm not saying he's an uncle um but that little bit of experience with me and Dan was just speaking off there about G having to play off the right rashford still sort of being talked about as a younger and then two young Strikers as well you bring in someone like Sterling who knows where the goal is has scored for England scored for Chelsea as well to be fair and Man City feels like a transfer that will really benefit him and also the rest of that front line former Striker Troy Deanie said on on this channel last night that Sterling is is better than everything United have right now um do we agree with that Troy Dean is saying that Sterling is better than everything United have got I think what nade said there is really accurate especially when you look at the options Manchester United have at the moment on the right they have Ahmad and Anthony and then on the left as you mentioned Marcus rashford and gacho I think the obvious comparison perhaps Trini would be looking at is Marcus rashford he started the last two Premier League games and I think when you compare his statistics to when rahee Sterling joined Chelsea in 2022 you know they're pretty similar in a lot of ways you look at the goals of course Marcus rashford has a few more assists are similar um but I think you know what this graphic doesn't really show us is is Marcus rashford has been really out of form in the last year you know and I say that in you know not in a disrespectful way but he has we saw his Purple Patch after the World Cup in Qatar and he's really struggled to ReDiscover that form so I think you know actually on the balance of it you'd probably want Alejandra gacho as a young player to be coming into United starting on the left but in the first two Premier League games he's persisted with rashford so does adding Sterling who would predominantly want to play on the left you imagine add to that or would that create a bit of a what do you do with five Wingers I think we'd have to find out really yeah it was interesting those uh those stats I think from the comparison anyway between rashford and and Sterling since Sterling joined Chelsea I think um you know Dan touched on it a little bit there as well a moment ago talking about environment for Sancho you know it feels like it's over for for Sancho at United right now um what type of environment do we think that Sano needs to thrive I think it's really difficult to tell to be honest cuz um he goes to brucia Dortmund Club where he really Thrive where he sort of made his name and I thought that environment was perfect for him so in my mind I actually thought that would be his eventual destination obviously then tenh mentioned that they've patched up don't know how true that was looking at the evidence now but then he goes to Chelsea and where I do agree with Dan to an extent in terms of like player profile could make a lot of sense there's a lot of players at Chelsea that play right and left meaning he's leaving United where he's competing with rashford and gacho and now he's going to Chelsea where he's competing against potentially Palmer n Muk um Pedro Netto they've got a lot of wide forwards and generally just a lot of forwards but I think in terms of environment if Enzo maresa wants a player uh he tends to treat them quite well players tend to speak very highly of him so that might work in his favor um I do think in this deal he's probably the one that's kind of going I probably didn't mind just going back to Dortmund again I think Sancho maybe has suffered at Manchester United by them I think over the last few years or ever since he's been there you wouldn't say Manchester United had a set framework or or a way of playing neai touched on it there that I think Chelsea under moresa will have that moresa showed that at Leicester that he has his methods he has his ways and he'll M pick his team and base his team around his his own methods maybe Sancho finally like having a little bit of structure back in the Premier League would help him yeah I think also added to that point Ando maresa loves technicians and although Sancho is a Winger he's a one wonderful technician the ball's stuck to his feet all the time so um he's got the athletic forward so it might balance out that he now has a forward that is more ball dominant a bit more of the Jack greish mold than like a Pedro Netto mode uh but yeah it's really difficult to tell um because generally there's going to be competition how much game time will he get and so on and so forth I think the evaluation of both of these deals as you mentioned Dave these would be two separate deals between the clubs for both players and I think when you look at Sterling's contract he has three years left to Chelsea sanch has two but Sancho is still just 24 years old you know you still look at the potential left in his career the heights he could still potentially reach so it'll be really interesting to see what the valuation on the players will be in terms of the value because Enzo morasa has already made it clear that Raheem Sterling isn't going to be part of his 20 or so 25 uh Squad that he's working with whereas Eric tanaga has taken the alternative stance of saying Sanchez is very much part of our plans you know we've put the pass behind us he's just not making the match day Squad but I'll have players throughout the season who will miss out so it'll be really interesting to see how these two clubs if a deal is to progress how they kind of work out where the evaluation of these players are going to kind of rest at I think maybe if let say Sancho went to Chelsea off off the back of just being at Manchester United you probably ask a little bit more questions around the move but because he had that Lan spell last season at Dorman because he played so well in that in that Champions League run people have kind of remembered that there's a brilliant footb footballer there and he is more than a Winger like like NE said so I actually do think if you know Chelsea going to have a lot of games as well they're going to have they're going to have the conference League you're going to see a lot of different players playing for Chelsea this could actually be the kind of thing that that he does need I think in an ideal world he probably does go back to Dortmund but we know he doesn't really fit into how dortman do their transfer business that was a oneoff opportunistic loan that that Dortmund took upon on him last season but he definitely needs a fresh start I think being in London where where he's from will probably
