A 5.4 magnitude earthquake has just struck off Portugal's coast! Early Monday morning, at
precisely 5-11 a.m. local time, a 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Portugal. The
tremor was centered approximately 32 miles west of Sines and had a depth of nearly 11 miles below the
surface, according to the United States Geological Survey. Residents along Portugal's coastline,
including in the capital city of Lisbon, reported feeling light to moderate shaking.
Fortunately, there have been no injuries reported. Portugal's Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere
has confirmed at least four minor aftershocks followed the initial quake. Stay tuned to EE.UU
