first story this evening is the new super Eagles coach Bruno labad set to name foreign assistant and part of those foreign assistant that he's going to be named will have Olaf a man who has worked with him for quite some years though he is now working on his own with another club in Europe I have mon lasson inhouse analyst joining me on the show this evening welcome to sports update thank you the show together I know you already you we not expecting uh a name like Bruno labadia to be named as the super go coach yeah um I I have to say this with all due respect I don't have any any personal animosity against the man but as a personal opinion I I think Nigerians a Nigerian should should manage to be fair and to be honest he has a he has a very long and impressive CV gone through his CV some of the jobs he has done in the past but I think we have come to a place where in Nigerian we we have in my opinion lots of talent that that can manage manage the super EOS and we have to come to a place where our players both foreign and local base respect the the the head of whoever he's chosen to to to coach the super agles and don't just look around and say oh unless we have a foreign coach the players might not respect him I think that that is that's not good enough but well we we here we are we have just a few days to to to some friendly match thank God we have qualifers actually sorry pardon me two very important important matches and let's let's let's not forget we have not really done well in in in recent times we have some very important important things ahead of us so hopefully we can focus and of course when when a coach is coming in bringing in uh his assistant you want him to bring in somebody he's familiar with somebody he's comfortable with somebody who understands him who they can work together so hopefully these are the people he's bringing in and then they able to bring us results at the end of the day if we're getting results nobody will care whether it's foreign coach or not okay but somebody made mention of something uh that um the there might be a language barrier but from what I understand do you think there's going to be a language barrier because Germans also speak English fluently well I don't think there will be a language barrier the the the German footballers the German football players football managers that that we all know and familiar with a lot of them speak very very good English even before they moved to English speaking countries and I understand that Germany I think about roughly about 30 to 40% of their population actually speak speak very good English I don't think there will be a language barrier and even if there is a language barrier I mean har rard the the French guy coach Saudi Arabia and he he had an interpretor with him who was getting the job done so who okay uh we're still dwelling on the super before we move to the next story quickly the choice of a foreign assistant I know a lot of persons wouldn't want to support the names names like Olaf and what like the Olaf I mention has actually worked with him yeah the the the with with with the assistant coach or your back backro stuff you want people you are comfortable with people you know people you can work with people you probably over the years there's a there a certain level of chemistry certain level of understanding that's good on there again like I've said I personally personally do not want a foreign coach but he's here for example our man just got back from his band the first name that came to my mind wasia I mean give him a a kind of a a an easy flow back back into management something like that would have been great and it could also be like if some some a future plan so if this guy comes in maybe stays for like a year or two maybe more then we can EAS in another Nigerian who is probably have become familiar with with the players but of course your backro stuff have to be people that you are comfortable
