here all right y'all so today we've got a matchup between the LA Rams and the Detroit Lions it is a solid matchup it's a solid game it's a recap of Wild Card Weekend just like it was um a recap of the AFC Championship game when the Baltimore Ravens took on the Kansas City Chiefs so this game is going to be a lot of fun and before we get into it of course you already know guys we got to talk about these two teams offenses so let's take a look at the offensive board right here this is going to be your offense for the Detroit Lions starting with your quarterback Jared Goff so we're going to start here with Jared gof now for those of you who don't know GF and uh J whoops Jared gof and Matthew Stafford they they used to play for each other's teams which makes this super interesting um but Jared gof is now the starting quarterback for the Detroit Lions although he was drafted in the first round of the 2016 draft by the LA Rams and now here he is going head-to-head against that same team that once drafted him and he's been doing a pretty good job against them so at least last year he did let's see if he can do it again today I guess we'll find out David Montgomery will be splitting time today it will be David Montgomery and Jamir Gibbs but it looks like Montgomery is going to get the start for that Amanda says love me some goth love me some goof I love to hear that awesome let's see what Jared Goff can do today um it's not Jared Goff that I'm really excited to see it's not David Montgomery that I'm really excited to see although you got to give the man credit with where it's due he was in a time share David Montgomery was in a time share last season with jir Gibbs and he still went for over a th000 rushing yards 1,5 rushing yards 219 carries in the 2023 season 13 touchdowns that was tied for the fifth most in the NFL so yeah don't sleep on David Montgomery don't sleep on this offense guys this offense is absolutely killer and one of the biggest killers on that offense is this man right here Alan ra St Brown Alan ra Aman ra I don't speak Egyptian um but I do know that he's the sun god that's what raw right raw is the the god of the sun so am and raw St Brown that's why they call him that anyways okay he will be wearing number 14 guys he'll be wearing number 14 he was drafted in the 2021 draft weirdly enough he was a fourth round pick one of the cool stories about Aman rain Brown um he's got a brother who's in the NFL as well equinus same Brown and his parents uh his dad was actually Mr Universe which is pretty dang cool uh so athleticism runs in his jeans this guy is lightning fast he's going to get points today he's a top five fantasy wide receiver definitely in top 10 without a doubt you can definitely but you can argue and make a case for him being inside that top five so his stats last season um no kidding there he was only behind cidd lamb in in targets and receptions last season so in 2023 alond Ross St Brown had 119 receptions that was good until we get this game started talking alond ra St brown right so 119 receptions last year he also had 15 1,515 yards so 1515 1,515 yards for almond Ross St Brown that was good for the third most there is a player outside of almond raw St Brown that definitely deserves a moment to talk about right now and that is Sam leaport um I you got to give Sam leaport credit here he uh didn't have the world's craziest season last season but he was tied for the fourth most receiving touchdowns in the NFL with 10 touchdowns last year he was shy of a th000 yards he had 889 receiving yards but Sam laporta this this is a bad dude and he is a huge Red Zone Target 6'3 245 lbs last year was his first year he did all that damage those 10 touchdowns and 889 yards as a rookie so let's see how much the let's talk about this team of course we also have to take a look at the away team we were talking about the home team for just a moment there we got to talk about the LA Rams starting quarterback for the LA Rams is Matthew Stafford next to him we're going to have Kiren Williams now a lot of people were torn on the kirn Williams thing everyone is saying that he's too small Blake corm just been selected now that we've got Blake corm in here who knows if Kiren Williams is really going to be the the running back one I think he is personally and here's why it's because last season what's going on purple pixie welcome back welcome back to all of y'all who joined me during that live stream uh on the last one there you guys are awesome thank you all right so Kiren Williams they're saying that he's going to be splitting time with Blake korm who's the new rookie that they just drafted but last year Kiren Williams was had the Third most rushing yards in the NFL the third most rushing yards in the NFL and you don't just throw that away Shawn McVey is going to show his loyalty to Kiran Williams I think Williams will end up with a touchdown today that is my own personal opinion on the matter but kyen Williams was drafted uh in the fifth round of the 2022 draft and he's made a name for himself now now that he's got that back field to himself let's talk Matthew Stafford for just a moment before we get into this uh don't know if you guys are lions fans or if you guys are are Rams Fans or if you guys are just just here to watch some good football either way thanks for joining me let's talk Matthew Stafford so Matthew Stafford was middle of the road he wasn't he he was a a viable fantasy quarterback but he wasn't like G to be the game changer for you um when we're talking about Matthew Stafford here so Matthew Stafford last season had 3,965 passing yards that was good for 11th in the NFL he had 24 passing touchdown that was also tied for 11th in the NFL he also threw 11 interceptions last season so double digit interceptions never a good thing um let's see if he can shake that interception bug we saw what Dak Prescott did when he had his interception bug he went from throwing the most interceptions in one year throwing the most touchdown passes the next so it is possible for Matthew Stafford to get back on track and end up being a top five quarterback but we'll see how it goes all right guys two studs right now for this wide receiver room and it's kind of the elephant in the room who is going to be the Top Dog in Los Angeles is it going to be our boy tried and true Cooper cup or is it going to be pukaa who's now entering his second season should have been the offensive Rookie of the Year this dude was an absolute Beast let's talk let's talk puka for a second puka AA came into the NFL last season so this is his second year in the the NFL and last year as a rookie ladies and gentlemen hukaa had 1,486 receiving yards as a rookie that was good for the fourth most in the entire league hukan AA this guy someone that nobody knew last season coming into it absolutely blew everyone's nips off it was crazy it was crazy what puka AA did and we all know how good Cooper cup is as he's finished as the white receiver one before and been the top wide receiver in the NFL as well he is on the wrong side of 30 now so pukaa is the future of this team so long as he sticks around but these two guys I mean it's it's going to be really hard to uh keep track of both of them so someone keep me uh reminded Cooper cup always number 10 pukan AA number 17 today when we watch those plays happen and then of course we've got Robinson Demarcus Robinson as our third wide receiver here Demarcus Robinson is going to be right there um as the third wide receiver Tyler higgy is the tied end for the LA Rams LA Rams tight end is going to be Tyler Higg and uh that's not right Tyler higgy looks like he's out today so what happens when you do these things in advance instead of doing them like right before didn't really have the time to make that quick adjustment Tyler higgy was coming into this questionable he's now been ruled out so it won't be Tyler R uh higgy instead it's going to be Colby Parkinson Colby Parkinson will be taking over in this tight end spot so keep that in mind as the day goes on Colby Parkinson is going to be wearing number 86 tyon Williams is going to be wearing number 23 right down here he's going to be sharing some time today with Blake Korum Blake corm is the rookie coming out of Michigan this is his first year in the NFL he was drafted in the third round of this draft everyone is saying that he's going to end up taking over I'm not buying it but let's find out so let's find out that goes all right we don't have we can start calling this game in the meantime we can start talking about the defense and one of the biggest players on the defense one of the biggest players on the defense here for the Detroit Lions is Aiden Hutchinson this guy if you don't know who Aiden Hutchinson is you're about to find out today he is basically the Mel Parson of the north Aiden Hutchinson has been an absolute Beast Let's see hanging out things are tight so we're going to get a kickoff here before we have that kickoff let me jump over to one of those videos really quick for those of you who are new to this Channel and don't quite understand the kickoff rules just yet I'm about to have everything explained out for you guys to address the lowest kickoff return rate in NFL history and the unacceptable injury rate on kickoff returns the NFL and its 32 teams have approved the following kickoff rule adjustments for the 2024 season the new rules are as follows kicking team will kick off from their own 35 yd line the other 10 members of the kicking team will line up across Midfield at the opponent's 40 yd Line This will be known as the kickoff starting line a minimum of nine members on the receiving team will line up between their own 30 and 35 yd lines this area is known as the setup Zone the receiving team will be allowed up to two kick returners who will be positioned between the 20 yd line and the back of the end zone during kickoffs this area between the receiving team's 20 yd line and the end zone will be known as The Landing Zone players lined up on the starting line and the setup zone are not allowed to move until the play begins play begins when the ball is either touched by a returner or hits the ground in inside the landing zone or end zone remember that because depending on where the ball touches the ground first it's going to make a huge difference on where the ball is placed after the kick any kick that hits and stays inside the landing Zone has to be returned and any kick that hits the landing Zone but then bounces into the end zone the return team can choose to either return the kick for regular yardage or they can choose to down the ball inside the end zone for a Touchback in the result of a Touchback in this situation the receiving team will gain possession at the 20 yd line now if the kicked ball enters the end zone through the air meaning that it doesn't bounce in the landing Zone first then the receiving team can either return it or down it if downed in this situation this will result in a Touchback and the football will be placed at the 30 yd line now if the ball goes out of the back of the end zone Untouched by any player whether it's through the air or by bouncing then the receiving team will be rewarded a Touchback and the football will Auto automatically be placed at the 30 yd line additionally if the football is kicked too short and the ball fails to reach the landing Zone before touching the ground then the receiving team will automatically gain possession at the 40 yd line and if a kickoff goes out of bounds through the left or right Sidelines then the receiving team will gain possession at the 40 this new setup now penalizes kicking teams for kicking the football into areas that don't allow the opposing team a chance to return the kick I hope hope that this video helped you all right guys so the kick is back we lowest kickoff return rate in NFL history and the unacceptable injury rate on kickoff returns the NFL and its 32 teams have approved the following kickoff rule adjustments for the 2024 season the new rules are as follows kicking team will kick off from their own 35 yd line the other 10 members of the kicking team will line up across Midfield at the opponent's 40 yd Line This will be known as the kickoff starting line a minimum of nine mbers on the receiving team will line up between their own 30 and 35 yd lines this area is known as the setup Zone the receiving team will be allowed up to two kick returners who will be positioned between the 20 yd line and the back of the end zone during kickoffs this area between the receiving team's 20 yd line and the end zone will be known as The Landing Zone players lined up on the starting line and the setup zone are not allowed to move until the play begins play begins when the ball is either touched by a returner or hits the ground inside the landing zone or end zone remember that because depending on where the ball touches the ground first it's going to make a huge difference on where the ball is placed after the kick any kick that hits and stays inside the landing Zone has to be returned and any kick that hits The Landing Zone but then bounces into the end zone the return team can choose to either return the kick for regular yardage or they can choose to down the ball inside the end zone for a Touchback in the result of a Touchback in this situation the receiving team will gain possession at the 20 yd line now if the kicked ball enters the end zone through the air meaning that it doesn't bounce in the landing Zone first then the receiving team can either return it or down it if down in this situation this will result in a Touchback and the football will be placed at the 30 yd line now if the ball goes out of the back of the end zone Untouched by any player whether it's through the air or by bouncing then the receiving team will be rewarded a Touchback and the football will automatically be placed at the 30 yd line additionally if the football is kicked too short and the ball fails to reach the landing Zone before touching the ground then the receiving team will automatically gain possession at the 40 yd line and if a kickoff goes out of bounds through the left or right Sidelines then the receiving team will gain possession at the 40 this new setup now penalizes kicking teams for kicking the football into areas that don't allow the opposing team a chance to return the kick I hope that this video
