My First Time In Turkey | Exploring Bodrum

what's up guys and welcome to another video we are at the airport as I mentioned in my previous video it was a tossup between two destinations I was either going to go to Montenegro or I was either going to go to Turkey and I decided to go to Turkey we are in bodam 4 and 1/ half hours away from Dubai and I'm very excited to explore and see what it has to offer [Music] so guys we have touched down officially at the addition hotel resort and wow may I just say it is quite a Swanky facility it is extremely aesthetic and pleasant to look at on the eyes the vibe is incredible and the water this is the first time I'm gracing the water it's so freaking clear outrageously Clear Water the sea in turkey or at least this region of turkey is absolutely [Music] fantastic potato right then we have come to the bordom marina to uh get on a boat for the afternoon obviously going to the beaches is very nice but it's always better to see it from a different perspective so we're going to be hopping on board one of these oldfashioned sailing boats seems to be the thing to do here the majority of the boats are sailing boats how are you very good thank you how are you fine thank you come you need help careful well this is a little bit different isn't it different from the old uh luxurious Yachts that I'm used to go on but uh it's refreshing look at that we are not using the sails today unfortunately I don't think uh even if we tried we'd be able to move CU there is little wind so we're using the old diesel engine to power us through spoke to uh the captain he's going to take us to three different spots which I mean I'm sure he knows what he's doing these are going to be some pretty sweet spots to go swimming diving and just to take in the sights so uh let's enjoy me up I will give your cloes if you want take it back one time oh no I I know I how can you look at this Top Chef thanks so after swimming to the shore door and falling asleep on the sand I'm feeling like a completely different person full fresh fish which was no doubt caught very recently tastes like that and rice salad potatoes and some sweet corn look at the view how long has your dad had this boat for my dad yeah how long owned this boat uh this boat yeah since 5 years how often do you do this every day uh not every day but in August like every day 25 days July like 18 19 days yeah June 15 10 days okay August is the busiest it was so heavy years ago but now not good season in Turkey since three years we'll be bad next year again why we don't have good treason I don't know about economy maybe well I'm going to try and do my best and get more people to come I think B is amazing you can do yes modern Paradise yeah we we live in here since 21 years actually I'm from Ania Ania city of Turkey but east east place of turkey uh we came when I was five 5 years old but I'm so happy here because this is like paradise yeah byebye thank you right guys we are back in the apartment I haven't actually showed you around the apartment it is pretty spacious of course I found this place on Airbnb thought it was an apartment but it's technically an apartment which is part of a hotel complex not the best view that ever had but it's a pretty good view as I said I ended up booking this place just because I liked the fact that it was Modern and spacious and well it's got un necessary three bedrooms but uh Hey it means I've got a choice to choose which bed that I'm going to sleep in now something to know about booking accommodation if you are planning to stay at your Resort the whole time for the majority you stay then I would probably invest a little bit more and stay in one of the really nice resorts and just enjoy everything that it has to offer however in my case I've actually not really spent much time here nor do I plan to spend much time here even though it is quite nice there is just too much to do too much to see so I'm basically waking up and then just leaving and then uh spending the evening here once I've completed all of the day missions I would say it's not hugely expensive I think you just need to try and decide okay so where you're going to spend most of your time I ended up picking this place because it was close to the gym and it's close to Bodrum the action the north of Bodom that seems to be where all the really high-end resorts are like literally all the big brands are there and I think that's because you could argue it's a little bit more beautiful it's got the sunset so from here to there it takes about a 30-minute Drive which is a little bit annoying but it's actually a really enjoyable and Pleasant Drive so it's actually not that bad [Music] this is the bougie side of the island the north side [Music] so we made a reservation at the main restaurant but on our way here we just had a tour of the resort the max Royal Resort and oh my goodness € 20 million on the gardens alone and they have over 1,200 members of staff so uh wow Scorpio is right over there we got the beach there and a couple of Big Boy yachts in the background [Music] just so you guys get a feel for what is going on around here that is going to be a new Bulgari Resort which is currently being built that is the Mandarin Oriental Resort and then here we have the max Royal Resort the food was on point for those who have never been to the main if you do go I recommend you get these sticky short ribs because they are on another level like to get two rounds of that also got got lamb chops and the steak afterwards we did hop over to Scorpios to see what that was like again the venue was very very impressive but I was hoping for a little bit more of a party I think the big parties do happen here but you have to go on the right night either when there's a big DJ on or maybe just in the busier months but still it was pretty cool to check out the live performers who were doing their thing on the instruments [Music] so uh we have arguably foolishly come to Central with a car cuz I have a strong feeling I'm not going to be able to park it anywhere but um I wanted to walk around the marina cuz this is quite a lively active spot for tourists get a bit of a traditional Turkish Vibes as well instead of just staying at the resorts where there's really not a lot of traditional stuff going on and it is very well I mean these resorts are like you can see them anywhere it's just the views changing but this this is authentic turkey show them show show them we're in [Music] Turkey guys is absolutely kicking off here people everywhere tourists mostly tourists but also some locals this is where you can get everything you could possibly need clothes food souvenirs shoes [Music] and desserts by the looks of things not quite sure what the situation is with the dogs but there's loads of dogs lying around they look very well fed someone's just gone around and given them a load of meat there's also a lot of cats here I think in uh turkey overall cats are quite well although they were quite welcome and after doing a bit of research it turns out that they're not so welcome anymore but I won't go into too much detail about that because I might be wrong anyway look at the look how they call taxis here by the way anybody want to tax C anybody want a taxi taxi right guys it is a brand new day and it is time to hit up the gym obviously didn't go yesterday because it was the day off but today we need to get stuck right back in now you know me the gym is a big part of my life so when I do travel I like to go to the best facilities in that location which I'm going to and this one in particular black Fit Sport Club is as far as I know the best one in the [Music] area looks pretty damn good to me and uh I think there's only one person in today so that's even better apparently people don't like to train on a Thursday morning so we have everything that we could possibly need cables Smith machine squat rack we also have quite a lot of what what the fraking frak is it plate loaded machines I don't know what brand it is [Music] right guys the session is completed felt absolutely fantastic today I did have to cut the session a little bit shorter than I would have done usually which is what I tend to do when I'm kind of traveling on vacation I don't really want to spend my whole life inside of the gym what the [ __ ] is going on with this car man wow it's got this Auto safety feature which puts the brake down without me putting the breake down anyway what was I saying instead of cutting out exercises I usually do like one set less so imagine I'm doing six exercises maybe seven I just cut out a set and then I'm doing like six or seven sets less than usual so uh still gets the job done but I'm not like doing you know the upper echelons of volume cuz just no need to just get the job done and then we can enjoy the rest of the [Music] day we are by the looks of it in the middle of nowhere we've been driving for quite some time going up this windy treacherous road for at least 15 minutes to get to our breakfast destination this is a authentic local spot recommended by our friend alet on the boat yesterday he said it's very good very reasonably priced by the way shout out to the car this is the car which I've been driving the Volvo x60 now of course I wanted to rent a convertible when I came here but there wasn't any options available I also wanted to get something sporty but I'm very glad that I didn't because this is not the place for sports cars so if you are renting a car I recommend getting an SUV or something that's quite good at handling bumps and a little bit of off-road and uneven roads because the roads are pretty sketchy here so uh definitely keep that in mind [Music] so guys I have just gone to the buffet and picked a little bit of everything unfortunately I don't know what anything is I need a literal Turkish guide to translate and explain what each of these things are it's an interesting selection the only thing I'm familiar with is boiled eggs and uh cucumber and tomato the rest of it I have absolutely no idea but I'm looking forward to trying it this is the Savory round so uh I will probably go back and have a little explore into the uh sweet selection so uh thoughts so far I mean it's a very carvy one everything's very bre very uh greasy but we have been saved by these boiled eggs which taste so fresh probably come straight out of a chicken bum hole this morning so a chicken or a hen whatever's making that noise came out of that this morning oh look there's a little egg there you saw it at the D what on Earth is that how is that even attached unbelievable that is literally a mad fruit hello stinky hey stinky donkeys all right so that was the traditional Turkish breakfast I'm glad I did that don't know if I'll be repeating it cuz it's probably not the most macro friendly and um even if I was trying to be super healthy kind of limited with the options so I don't know if the Turkish people eat like that every morning they probably do so just come for the daily dip and uh the water is absolutely perfect great temperature and extremely clear I'm just going to arrest myself on this boy so to summarize this place I would say it's very good one thing that's different about this is uh the music is extremely vibing they have a DJ here so if you want more musical Vibes this is the spot condition was a little bit more chilled out food is also extremely good of course this time around the uh the suned menu was extremely limited so we had to go to the restaurant week but it was pretty quick so we didn't have to spend too much time sat down we did check out a couple of other Beach Clubs whilst we were there this one Zuma Village was very cool had a hippie laidback Vibe built into the nature surrounded by trees and was definitely more affordable in comparison to the ones which we've been to one of the hardest decisions was actually choosing which beach clubs to go to so we did miss out on quite a lot another one mariolino by the sea was also very good probably not one of my favorites but it was still quite a good atmosphere nice restaurant and some pretty nice sunbeds Cabanas and hammocks so guys we're at the Y guys we at the Y kabak Marina which is home to what looks like some high profile stores and a couple of low profile stores as well and an abundance of yachs so having a little bit of a walk around now just to check it out before the dinner commences [Music] okay so we have touched down at Zuma Bodom which in my opinion is arguably one of the best locations that I've seen for a uh restaurant the Ambiance the setting the sunset The Vibes the music everything is on point 10 out of 10 so far now we're just waiting on the food to see what that is like but Zuma is Zuma the menu is very consistent throughout the world so I'd imagine this one to be pretty [Music] [Music] similar so guys that was pretty damn outrageous really service probably could have done a little bit Improvement but you know we're in Turkey we're out in Dubai so now the rest of this Marina area is looking extremely well lit a bit like me in a few hours time already kidding only kidding guys I am not interested in drinking at all cuz I'm an angel I admire very few summer sends there's only a handful of them and uh yeah last time I made a vlog when I was at the W Hotel felt absolutely trash after that so I don't want to feel like that again anytime soon so it's the sober vibes sober vibes from now on and we are at the airport prepared to travel back to Dubai so it's been a very good trip I would say coming to Bodom four or five nights is definitely enough like I feel as I'm ready to go back home even though there's a lot to do it kind of feels a little bit repetitive after a while didn't feel as though I did the most authentic Turkish things that I could have possibly done but I think I'm going to save all of that for when I go to Istanbul I'm going to take the full Squad there my cameraman photographer and I'm going to do turkey some justice this was literally a trip just to enjoy the Sun get away from the humidity in Dubai and just check out the beach clubs and that I certainly did for those people who are thinking about coming it can be done cheaply but you can also spend a lot of money it's really up to you what kind of a trip that you want to do I would recommend coming with a partner or maybe a group I feel as though this maybe isn't a spot for solo Travelers in terms of like NTI and party scene I'm sure it does exist but I had expected a little bit more maybe it's because I'm coming in September apparently August is the busiest month but I think those people who really want to go crazy and have a party they're probably going to other destinations but I feel as though Bodrum has a lot of potential I I'd see no reason why this isn't going to become a very popular spot in the future particularly with all the resorts that they are building they're literally popping up everywhere and the scenery is incredible and the weather particularly in September is absolutely perfect like not too hot the sea was nice and warm and it wasn't even that windy so it was absolutely perfect so that is that I hope you have enjoyed the video turkey I love you and I will be back not
