Intro days before Giannis and Mariah became parents of three we got a chance to sit down with them for a few minutes and talk about their family life and their mission to give back in a big way this Milwaukee Diaper Mission they may be one of the biggest celebrity couples in the country but as parents Giannis and Mariah deal with the same things you and I do let me show you the technique okay and while number of 34 thinks he's the expert at packing diapers his fiance says when it comes to changing them not so fast do you have an embarrassing or fun diaper story in the first couple of uh weeks or months when he was a baby and I was changing his diaper some sometimes I'll forget to like cover his uh private pee his private area and he like pee on me he pee on yeah I I never got peed on so who changes the most diapers in your house oh my God please stop um I do or when there's like a really bad blowout he like screams and he's like Mariah I'm like I'm coming he's like I can't do this by myself you just scared of a little poop but our boy yeah our boys is not no little po yes people they changed their own kids diapers and buy them too and I'm leaving the store and I'm looking at their seat and I'm like why is why am I spending this much which is why at her first baby shower for now toddler Liam in Lou of presence Mariah riddlesprigger asked for diapers to donate to families who can't afford them and I just want to help as many moms and as many families in general 3 years later she's a vocal board member of Milwaukee diaper Mission helping the organization provide more than a million diapers and wipes what have you learned doing this and being part of Milwaukee diaper mission that it's a lot more needed than even I thought you know like one and two families need diapers that's a sad statistic you know we don't have to choose between diapers and uh and meal but there's a lot of families out there that have to make that decision right now and we were one of those families while Mariah came from a modest background Giannis hasn't been shy about his family's struggles growing up which is one reason Milwaukee diaper Mission partners with CF the Charles anmo Family Foundation to help families like his in honor of his late father as calf we're going to try to do the best that we can to help communities um open doors as as much as we can and um help our communities here in in the states gree Nigeria for the families in the Milwaukee area these two have freaky goals for the big give back where people from all over can donate money for diapers and wipes what is your goal what do you hope two million diapers two million di I just really hope that it just brings more awareness to the need you know cuz I think it's one of those things that just overlooks because it's just it's not food it's not food insecurity it's not house and rent insecurity it's diapers making sure that we can impact communities in that way and making sure that families have food they have diapers they have you know things that we can provide that they don't that can take something off their plate that's really important for us with the buck season starting a wedding to plan chasing two boys and caring for new baby girl Eva Brooke they have a lot on their own plate but for Smiles like this they say it's worth it we want to want to have more it's a it's a blessing to have a big family I want just a bunch of AOS running around but it's even more of a blessing I feel like um because we get to do this together I love them I love my I love my kids but sometimes they're driving crazy it's a lot of diapers in your future Amanda Porter field reporting the big give back goal $50,000 if you Outro want to donate money we have a link on our website cbs58.com big giveback
