[Music] [Applause] jonu is one of those names in red be that you immediately have a visual in your head take that you know feel sorry for the people who had to defend him and Jonah head steam the balance of pace he's beaten three power and footwork was pretty dly there he goes again takes three or four of them to get him he was the thing that we aimed for I know when I trained you know I wanted to be where he was when Jonah took the field it was unlike anything that Wingers had seen before not only wanted the biggest on the field but one of the fastest on the field and that changed how rugby was played the big BL gets over he was number eight so loose forwards they were trying to push to the wing you know because of the size but they just didn't have the speed he wasn't just a a wrecking ball you could run around people you know had good step Janu some may say the ultimate likey player he did things that you just didn't forget like his haircut the number you know he had the 11 shaved in his eyebrow soccer head David Beckham we didn't have anyone that uh we could hold up on that pestal and be really recognizable Jonah was that guy you know he went viral before viral was a thing he was trending before social media was invented you know he stuck out Beyond rugby personally he's always stuck out because of what he did for the Polynesian Community I think he was one of the first Global stars out there I'm hearty s I'm 605 but was the first time you I was clapping for so he's bringing the world together as well and that makes you proud obviously being a Pacific Islander but also a kiwi you know someone like that you from his humble beginnings to to where he is in such a big stage and taking that step was huge you're more than what you do in your day job it's it's how you treat people and and what you do for your people and he was always an amazing guy he always stopped for fans he always had his own style and yeah he just I think he'll forever be in our memory banks in his I think that's the biggest thing about about big guy he was so humble and even though his you know his personality and you know what he' achieved always arrived before he did you never would have thought that with uh when he came and you meet him in person I do always think you know imagine if his career went for a bit longer he would have changed the world he did that with this much time what are we doing with this much I think the greatest support that you can have is having people behind you and it makes you a better and stronger person and you have that sort of support anything's possible so
