PIP Reassessment Changes 2024

all right so I'm not stopping very long but I thought oh hello an you're all right I thought I'll come on do a quick live for you all because weekend why the hell not um I've got a bit of time before Amazon come so yeah because you know I'm waiting for a parcel long long story um Lisa hello you doing all right and Bob Ross is on an island again painting away I think Wild Bill and the gaming Jews on there hey guys how you all doing so uh bit of an update for you on the PIP situation at the moment so today I've been given a pip reassessment form which is new so this is a a light touch form guys okay I want to go through some of the changes that they've made with you because some seems quite weird and others don't so yeah it is what it is so uh hello to you Nora how you doing okay uh Shane hello to you and Michael good afternoon as well and a quick information blast yeah very much so so can you all remember um Flo you have applied for pip many many yons ago whenever that was how they always said it was crucial to give as much information as possible you know medical reports things like that doctor's notes fit notes um pretty much everything you physically had okay um well it appears the DWP has become a bit bored of that so it looks like their staff have got a bit bored of reading the mountains of evidence that people kept sending because they don't want it no more so I'm going to read to you what it says because this is literally one of their new forms you can't quite see that properly but yeah that's one of their new forms guys so this one is only for people on a light touch award or a reassessment it's not for those claiming pip for the first time um the first thing I've noticed is that one it's now 24 pages long not 48 pages long so that's always nice um the next thing is though unfortunately they've made the boxes smaller so you really can't put in as much information as you would like to do so but then they don't want you to provide too much information so it's kind of like it's set up to fail you straight away right okay so anyway I'm going to read bits and Bobs and leave me glasses for this don't I because I forgot I'm blind sorry old age and all that you know um and did have any evidence M just said you're very lucky very very lucky and Monica good afternoon to you if I start to steam up the Hat's coming off okie dokie so first of all let's go to the banner where are we done there we go right so it says by sending us relevant supporting information with your form we may be able to review your personal Independence pip form claim quicker using only information you give to us we may be able to make a decision on your award more quickly and you'll continue to get the right Award of pip okay that's fine it is important you send us information explaining how your health condition or disability affects you understandable photocopies as we cannot return original documents to you write your name and National Insurance number on top of each document so that's important make sure you do have that because What's Happening by the sounds of it is people are sending information not putting that so let's say for example you've got a I don't know a statement report from a GP which is weird because they don't want that according to this I'll show you in a minute um you need to put your National Insurance number on that because if you don't that evidence will not be used I think that's the first hurdle that a lot of people are failing at they're not putting on their National Insurance number slap paperwork's basically being filed under b1n uh because they don't know what it is which is silly um when I spoke to a colleague the other day at the DWP he said to me on the phone that um please make sure you fill the forms out because we only accept it as the machine cop is this bit of paperwork so this bit of paperwork here the machine copies it that's how they get your claim on file which is yeah uh I look gorgeous P thank you I do appreciate it I really do appreciate that old age just a ban yet I wish I was just a ban anyway so I'm gonna go with what they say not to send because when I've spoken to them in the past about things or I've I've helped people do forms and stuff in the past right or just you know go through it in general they've always said send as much information as you possibly can however they are now saying what not to send do not send appointment letters or cards do not send any supporting letters from your GP I mean that seems weird um do not send any letters arranging Hospital admissions do not send general information or fact sheets about your condition do not send fact sheets about your medication and do not send information about test you are going to have do not send bus or train tickets to appointments you have attended and do not send information you have sent us before that sounds a bit like they don't want a lot of information there um I think appointment letters all cards the reason they don't want that is because they I mean yeah they don't want to see about your appointments but then if you're trying to prove to them that you are you know sick that's probably the simplest way to do it what really gets me is they don't want a supporting letter from your GP because supposedly they write to your GP but I've spoken to my new GP and my new G GP is Lovely by the way she really she's lovely um she said that under no circumstances of DWP ever written to her to request information so they don't want the letter that you can get from them that you pay for but they also won't write them do you see where this trend is going guys because I think I think that's quite a suspicious thing as the saying would go that's suspicious that's weird um Delirious ra just put it's like they didn't want you to prove it yeah pretty much I'm surprised they're not trying to make people fill in this form online it' be much easier Michael believe me uh Mark just said in fact do not send information we may have to act on because we have no intention of paying you a penny ba basically yeah that's the vibe I get um and like delar just said there the de we never contacted the doctor doctor H now I get I get right okay so letters arranging Hospital admissions but the thing is they ask you in this form to tell them about any Hospital admissions that you've had so it's like you're asking me to do this but like then you don't want the information sending to you right all right um and I think the whole and this is my personal opinion I don't know if it's valid or not so please don't Tech this with you know any sort of credible evidence um when they say we don't want general information or fact sheets about your condition or medication um is that because the staff are not medically trained and they haven't got a clue what they're talking about because if someone sent me a fact sheet about cancer for example I wouldn't have a clue I'm not a doctor I'm not trained so does that indicate it's the same for the DWP I wonder I do Wonder uh don't send information about test you going to have but why that's ever idence that you have got something wrong with you I'm I'm I what I just what and don't send us information you've sent us before right so I have a bit of an issue with this one because information theyve sent before what if your claim was over 10 years ago after six years that evidence has to be deleted so what are you supposed to use then if you've not like got the information from before how do you then send them the information again do you see where I'm going with this one it it doesn't seem right really so yeah I'll go through some of the comments real quick and then I'm going to go through the information what they do want to receive because it kind of don't make any sense yeah anyway um let's have another look so don't worry a third party assessor called Mary will lie on your report they're always called Mary usually uh an says pip did ring my doctor once for info you're very lucky an very very lucky uh Terry says can't see anything on my form about what not to send uh it's on page six of 24 mate would you believe it or not which is really weird I don't know why it's on page six personally but I thought it'd be on page one but yeah uh Su said max Adventures I thought exactly the same and J Jules just put I deal with Mine by email have been waiting for apply and pip assessment form that is sent in February they said they understand why I didn't fill in the form and they're going to give me what I was yeah the honestly right guys this form is very hard to fill in if you if you've got a writing condition I mean definitely get someone to help you because there is no way near enough room on this form at all to give information in in fine detail it's just it's just not there um it would make sense if you could do it online for people and like Michael said and I do actually think that's probably a better idea um but you know each their own obviously uh being on benefits makes you become a data analysist and a private investigator trust me my skills are getting better yeah do you know what I find that's the case um people don't like me because of it but I'm like what the hell it's what oh I don't honestly I don't know uh already receiving which was so wrong okay uh Mark says we don't want proof as we can just dispel any information you've given yep that makes sense pess has just research Wikipedia won't surprise me honestly uh got it just here oh you found the page mate good good Monica put so review form ask for current prescription but I provided one before so of course you have to send things you've already provided in the past yeah yeah right it actually asks you in here what prescriptions you've got and then but it says don't send prescriptions what that I'm I'm baffled I truly I'm not just being a general idiot right this is literally what it says on the forms I'm so so confused I I don't get it um I want to to do this video to be honest with but Terry bless him did reach out and said to me about the confusion so thank you Terry because you have done this video hope you don't mind it's so confusing uh right so let's have a look okay so Michelle just said they did say to me a few years back that a GP letter will not be accepted as they would call the GP but my last recent review did they contact my GP twice never done it before interesting so are they starting to contact GPS now that'd be nice would it you know doing the job that the GPS are there for so what to send send us any information that you have received since your last award for example a summary of your patient record right okay Hospital discharge or outpatient clinic letters well then that would fall under letters arranging Hospital stuff and a summary of your patient record is the same as a letter from your GP just doesn't support you it just says what you've got which is what a GP would write so that's the same anyway um your current repeat prescription lists but you ask you're asking what medication people are on so if you're asking a what medication we're on why have you got to send the prescription list again that don't make any sense I don't yeah um reports or care treatment plans from occupational therapists GP or Consultants social workers Community psychiatric nurses learning disability support teams District nurses physiotherapists carers and family members now that one there the bottom one carers and family members that's quite an important one I think because if you've got a carer or a family member surely they would know your condition in depth if they live with you right so I think that's a good one it's a key crucial one I really do so maybe you know that's something to take and then test results from scans or diagnostic tests or hearing or Vision tests so what I don't get right is if they're asking for that but then why would they need to contact your GP if you've if you've given this information why do they to contact the GP I don't understand it makes no sense am I just being stupid I don't I don't really know anyway I'm going to go through your comments again because there's just there's a lot uh Jill mby just put I Jill you're all right they contacted my GP because my doctor told me so it's nice to after that you know they do or ask stank to do it Jill uh would they contact the hospitals I don't think they would Michael I don't think they would because it just says that we would contact your GP but then I suppose in the form right you do get it says about your health condition disability um they they go on to say although it is your responsibility to send supporting information cheeky occasionally we may ask the main health professional who knows about your condition for more information this may be your GP Hospital consultant or a specialist nurse please provide their details below so you can put Hospital Consultants down if that option is there so yeah you you know and there is a box below that as well which you've got a tick say you need to give consent for them contacting your GP and stuff um but the biggest thing for me is obviously what not to send because I remember vaguely last time I spoke to somebody I me we're talking over a year ago now um they said that any facts or evidence from your doctor's surgery is massive in your support claim but now they're saying it's not so is that because the gold post has been changed again or as people have said are they actually contacting gp's more I guess only time will say I guess only time will tell um you need the paper evidence in case it goes to court or tribunal that is very good shout yeah um we don't talk about tribunals on this channel because it turns out they're all fixed majority of them so I try not too that WR now anymore um it sounds like they it sounds like they're making you get a copy of these reports Etc and send them to the PIP processors but if they contact your GP then all the evidence is there for them to see yeah you know what to to be fair cers it's a lot of paperwork in it like there's a lot of stuff in there that isn't necessarily needed I mean I think the boxes like I say the boxes are just too small you you've got effectively um let's say question you know one for example well it's gone let's say question two about the um where is it oh sry question one yeah preparing food and cooking tell us if something has changed in approximately when you've got threee lines tell us how you manage this activity now including the use of AIDs that you need again threee lines and then tell us about changes to the help you need again threee lines like that that's not a lot to put stuff in there like information wise but so then you've got to write more but then they don't like the fact that you're writing more down so it's kind of like what what do you want from me oh oh hi Nikki you're all right um oh God it's honestly it's gone it's gone terrible potato babies in the chat hello also make sure you write the question there because they can also make stuff up you haven't yeah that's true they do they have a they do do that don't it's kind of like having an ex-wife or a husband no offense just saying you know it is um are they trying to catch people out maybe yeah I I would always say right guys when you fill this form in take a picture of it scan it photocopy it because if they gonna if they're going to assess you they're going to ask you questions that's in here that you've written down trust me please make sure you go back to that because they will find any way possible to trick you up and again record it record the conversations because they clearly don't like people people at the moment which yeah um so yeah what's what's your thoughts I mean I'm just going to put that to aside now because quite frankly it's just mind boggled me it truly has um just ring what happens to us who have no change since last time so good question uh this form was actually from someone who's had no change but you still have to put down so for example okay it will ask you I'll give you a prime example and I don't often like doing this because people tend to say oh you're a benefit fraud and you're a cheat because you're giving people advice and guidance now it's called helping people who need help look it up you so for example question eight just for you the truth okay it says reading and understanding signs symbols and written words tell us if something has changed and approximately when if you say nothing has changed don't just write on there nothing has changed that's the worst thing you could do because by doing that they'll still assess you trust me they will assess you you need to to physically tell them nothing has changed and then say because of this and the the trick here and I don't like using that word trick is because you have you have to look at your previous assessment so on question eight let's say you've scored the maximum points eight or 10 allowed right you have to go back to what you've said previously on a report and then look at what they've put as a report and cross reference it you basically have to match it up it's it's like cludo it it's so difficult because a lot of people don't have the previous forms that they filled in or the previous Assessor's report but if you can get it get hold of it because you're going to have to go back and relate to that but the trick is do not put something on the lines of nothing's changed explain why nothing's changed and then go in with because of this or because of that if you just leave it blank or say nothing they're just going to rip you a new one um from people's experience that's what I'd recommend and though that is me just trying to cheat the system before anybody says anything that's actually offering help um so you know and that's free hi ho what the hell happened what the hell happened here reports of crap should be a video your daily imagine a video of that that be that'd be interesting uh in reality if there is no change in your circumstances a piper say that should be able to sort your claim easier it's been like that for me the last two times I apply for my pit cers you're are great honestly you are really good for the channel thank you for that it's a great comment uh Monica says oh really I was advised to write no chance if no change yeah I was told not to um and I found that if you do put no change it it doesn't work in your favor so don't don't do it if you can um the cheats are the DWP Absolut hate filled abusive people very very much so uh I was really just being sarcastic with my question being done that I have 20 years of reference sadly all ignored last time oh that's crap I'm sorry to hear that it's not good what the hell are you doing over there it's okay the dogs just chilling out anyway let's have a look some more comments um I put nothing's changed in the reason wasn't assessed that's see again why is that different people are putting different things and then different things are happening it doesn't make any sense it's kind of like it's not fixed is it you know it should be all one roll for one and that's it but it kind of seems to be different parts of the country I've noticed it as well it's difference of opinion probably down to assessors maybe I don't know feir and confusion are the greatest weapons against you that's very true and Charles says I always keep copies of my forms I filed in every single time to look back at yeah you definitely should that's definitely advised and David says hi Rich how things make good I hope and how the dogs um dogs are great currently asleep we have a a bit of a moving around this week unfortunately so we've got the old saer going outmate and a new one coming on I think it's Wednesday um we got a new one coming Wednesday because hours isn't great no more so we've got a new one and then I've somehow got to get rid of it all which is interesting because the C just dump in the field you know it's kind of frowned upon that stuff but yeah thank you for asking I appreciate it too late I've already had no change oh dear Monica my thoughts are with you really do oh dear some MPS claim 100% pip acceptance right no questions asked I wonder why I wonder why but yeah guys like I said that was basically just a quick video I want to do I'm not going to stay too long today because it's a weekend I have weekends off I don't normally do anything like this but I just thought it's a bit I love the bottom bit the mobility scheme the scheme allows disabled people to lease a car scooter or powered wheelchair do you want do you want information based on the scheme don't know you gonna give me T points we'll soon find out honestly just yeah if you get one of these guys um do read it through in detail you know there is a lot of people out there receiving these at the moment I think they're just being reassessed a lot earlier than their claim should be um like I said in previous videos people are being you know assessed up to a year earlier now so don't be surprised if you do get one of these dropped through the post in the next few weeks or so uh you should also get a text message so you will see it um what I would advise as well is because we all mails being a bit delayed at the moment call the PIP helpline and request an extension at the moment they're given three weeks extension on all pip claims so that allows you more time to gather evidence and effectively fill the form in to your 's content so hopefully that makes a bit more sense and hopefully you guys have um got the gist of it now but yeah 24 pages quite lightweight really quite you know any who thanks there's been 145 people watching so I appreciate that I really do um I wish 145 people liked it but that's another story anyway I've got nothing and favor to add like I said it is it's just a case of if you get one of these forms just take your time fill it in slowly you know don't rush it basically um and please do take your time overall and if you do need any assistance or help I'd strongly recommend citizens advice buau um there's a lot of places out there that do offer help depending on your area that you live in um but yeah other than that from me that
