LUKE THOMAS *live*: UFC 300 | Holloway v Gaethje | Conor McGregor latest |

Intro. was the last minute replacement he was the third last minute replacement the first time they fought it supposed to be Brad tarez then it was Roman delit and then ended up being Chris Curtis anyway those events don't really you guys don't seem to care about them much the audience doesn't seem to care about them much more generally in MMA so we're not going to focus on that too heavy but 300 I think uh is a great emphasis point and uh there's also Ronda Rousey out there there's a bunch of different topic so whatever you want to get to we'll get to that here today so here's how it goes I put up a live thread excuse me I put a thread uh 24 hours ahead of this you guys fill it up we put questions on there I'll pull from that for about an hour but if you put it in a donation on the super chat we'll get to all of those after the three excuse me after the free portion of the live chat as well you can see here right below you can become a member and one more time what are the benefits of becoming a member there's many of them not least of which is you get to contribute to this live chat for free but the more important part is you get the free videos that I put up the Vlogs that don't go literally anywhere else they don't get repurposed on Tik Tok they don't get repurposed on Instagram they go nowhere except for the members here at youtube.com/ luk Thomas and of course you can go to youtube.com luk Thomas jooin all right I've done enough pimping and hoing out here for my brand uh with that in mind let's get this party started shall we if you note the picture looks a little little bit different uh it's the same camera and it's the same uh lens and it's the same microphone and it's the same mixer but as I usually have but I've got a bit of a different lighting system and I have a slightly different settings I have to I have to retweaked from Vegas and put it back here so it might take me a couple of weeks to get exactly what I had back before but it's still it should still look pretty good um all things being what they are all right okay so with that in mind let's kill this ban there we are thank you nice to see everyone appreciate you joining me here for today um lots of coverage next week so actually it's uh it turns out it's going to be pretty great let me give you guys a bit of a heads up so I decided to because of the nature of my work uh I'll just leave it at that I decided not to go on vacation with my family unfortunately I really wanted to go um uh my wife and kid are going to go on vacation but I'm going to stay uh uh they're going to visit a bunch of family but I'm going to stay here and I'm going to work uh UFC 300 I'm pretty sure we're going to get the live post fight show here we might get a watch along here as well going to be a lot of coverage and then obviously my wife and kid are going to be gone the whole next week so then that will lead into Haney Garcia and so that week between UFC 300 and Haney Garcia it's going to be non-stop around these parts it's going to be just constant uploads and live broadcasts um that entire week so if there's anything you'd like to see let me know in particular but uh we should have a lot to do and lots of breakdowns that are going to come out after that a lot of different stuff there's obviously going to be an MK after that day and I know there's a lot of questions about MK um I'll answer them as they come up I realize that there's been some confusion among the fan base about how to watch I'm happy to answer any question that anyone might have that can facilitate it all right all right very good with that in mind let's do this bit here we are boom okay so let's get to it here all right look what did you think about Chris idan's Chris idan's two-piece poke combo Weidman/Eye Pokes. he literally blames Silva for reacting to at least six ey Poes it's classless in my opinion people are killing Chris Weidman for it let me just make sure everything sounds okay from aelo before I proceed another moment yeah he says thumbs up there we go okay great not really surprised that a fighter would be unsympathetic towards an opponent not that that excuses it per se but that's not exactly surprising that part to me I don't have a I mean the issue listen it's nice when the fighters can be Arbiters of what happened in a really sober and at sometimes any kind of way where they can present themselves as not a neutral Observer but still trying to give a fair account of things I don't feel like when Chris talks about this situation you're getting a fair account of things you're getting his account but you're not getting necessarily a fair account of what the difficulties are for Bruno Silva to what extent widman's own behavior contributed to that that being said I think waiting for Fighters particularly opponents of one fighter not just one fighter who is like commenting on another one's business but one who was actually an adversary waiting around for them to be super sportsmanlike or even just to see their opponent's side of things that can happen and it does happen I don't recommend waiting around for it if you don't immediately get it more to the point the reason why I feel like you can default to that kind of logic is because it really doesn't matter what he thinks in the end what matters is what the officiating crew thinks one more time would it be nice if widman was like you know what I didn't have enough discipline with my hand position I probably should have had a point taken or you know acknowledging that there was some kind of comeuppance or punishment some kind of punitive action that the referee should have taken that they didn't some way to acknowledge that he contributed to the problem in a way that seems sober and rational and fair would be nice don't recommend waiting around for it to me the focus of this issue should be on what the rules are to what extent referee Gary Copeland adhered to them and then more broadly to what extent did the athletic Commission in play this be the one in New Jersey uh if memory serves yes did anything about it that's the issue and to me you can even make an argument that Copeland I wanton to say strictly followed the rules because he stopped the fight and he didn't call a timeout which he should have so there was that kind of issue but once the fight had stopped you can't restart it and so then changing it to a more or I should say a semi more appropriate outcome is again according to the rules is not the end of the world the issue is the rules are insanely stupid and I've said this on Mondays MK I know some people didn't get a chance to hear or listen to it it sounds juvenile to say the rules are stupid any kind of situation where an opponent is repeatedly fouled not with a bunch of different fouls but the exact same kind across both eyes by the way and that person because they're then unable to perform the function suffers the loss here is insane right if your rules produce that kind of an outcome your rules are broken flatly or the efficients who have been tasked with enforcing them did a poor job or some combination of both that is where your focus should be that I think that is where the criticism should be if you want to lay into Chris Weidman for not seeing Bruno side of the story you're welcome to I think it's a waste of time and in many cases it's going to be a waste of time to lecture the commission but if there is enough of this over time your chance of getting some kind of change on how the rules are interpreted or structured and how they adjust we have seen movement over the last few years grounded opponent any a number of different issues where they have tried to get to a better solution now you can also debate how effective that was but my point is was there movement between one set of rules into another yes and we have we have been able to to demonstrate that and a lot of that does come from The Regulators assessing not just public pressure but what obviously works and that comes from to a degree public pressure so what do I think about an opponent H being unsympathetic to an opponent he defeated especially one who's had it in the case of Weidman a very difficult run to get back here who like many fighters has a degree of delusion I think about themselves which I don't say pejoratively it's a it seems to be a functional necessity I don't think much about it I don't think you should either it's you're just wai waiting on nothing um the issue is what the why we have rules this way and how they were interpreted that way and what problem that poses for all of us all right very good okay Luke uh great first show back on dcan what was your favorite portion of the Immortal Technique interview and Immortal Technique. did you get a chance to talk to him afterwards off camera no I did not big fan of his especially stuff with FOH MCH uh all the best to you and the FBC looking forward to next Monday yes thank you what was the best thing um he did give me his phone number I I I'm going to guess that I think he wants to work in media I don't know that I'm going to make a guess there uh ultimately based off what we discussed there but I would say I was just generally impressed with his level of AA addition and you know a lot of times you meet I I'm not saying he's an A-list celebrity but you meet celebrities and I have found that working with many of them they're very disappointing either as like their personal conduct or level of I mean I got to tell you the amount of athletes I've worked with like either current or former Prof or you know have have played professional ball in some capacity or either still do the level of prep that they do is so shockingly little it would blow your [ __ ] mind like in other words and this is where it goes back to like you're seeing a lot of fighter YouTube channels these days these days and I know Izzy who I like very much everyone knows that but he said oh you're not going to do your job you couldn't do mine that's true to an extent it's true for some guys but it's not nearly as true as they think it is a lot of them are growing their channels and this is totally their right like this is just the way the world works but it's fine but they're growing it and growing their profile based off of their existing celebrity that they then take from fighting into another domain that's not the same as building a media audience and I I cannot tell you how many times I have worked with a professional athlete former or current who did zero [ __ ] prep zero [ __ ] prep for the job and it didn't really matter in the end because they weren't really there necessarily to do one but uh it is it is it would shock you to be quite honest um so the fact that he seemed ready to go about a number of different issues well spoken well thought out well constructed or I should say you know strongly constructed ideas and arguments you could tell there's a lot going on with him he seems like a very interesting smart bright thoughtful uh you know World experienced kind of guy so that was really interesting for me very very very again he's not a former athlete but totally unlike a lot of the former athletes I have at various times worked with now let me be clear some of the former athletes I've worked with have been great as well but in general if I could pinpoint like the folks who have been through the broadest ranges of my experiences over the many many years I've been doing this um you aela's got some stories too uh you'd be surprised at the level of prep the athletes do which is in often often times [ __ ] nothing um to keep that in mind also let me just say this since you brought it up on the DraftKings Network go guys one more time okay here we go how can you get episode whatever number it was we'll just call it one the one from past monday how can you get that okay well it depends but no matter where you are it's except North Korea it's on podcasts everywhere you get your podcast Apple podcast Spotify whatever go get it there okay so that's the first of all so the audio podcast is available everywhere DraftKings network is only available in the United States but I tried it out on my Samsung TV plus I think it's Channel 1128 came up just fine was able to watch all the smoke on there the other day worked like a charm no problem whatsoever if you don't have DraftKings Network you will not be able to access the episode one Whatever again whatever number it is just yet you'll have to wait a little bit but I'm confident we'll have a YouTube solution super soon and everyone just so it's clear everything is moving there I I mentioned this on my private video I'll bring it up here guys this is what's been the holdup this whole time like why didn't you guys do shows in March this is why this is why this is exactly why right so we had a choice to make it was taking a long time to transfer all of the ownership over all of that stuff from one corporate entity to another and it's still in the process and again I'm not mad at anybody it's just exactly how the process goes right everyone has to cross every te and Dot every eye and I know people think it's just a snap of the finger it's not it's absolutely not God I wish it was it's not but this was why we had to hold up on doing shows in March it wasn't like we didn't want to or weren't ready we weren't in the position to put anything on YouTube just yet because that is still in transition from one entity to another and so the thought was it's probably better to start doing shows go ahead you we're going to be the DraftKings network no matter what even after it's on YouTube it will also air on DraftKings network but we wanted to go ahead and get the shows out because we could put them out on audio we could get them on the DraftKings Network we could at least start doing shows put Clips out on social and rather than just waiting for the YouTube stuff to be uh 100% resolved now whether or not we effectively communicated how to watch is clearly Up For Debate and if people have criticisms I understand fair enough thank you for them I appreciate them I've tried to hear all the feedback that I can and I've tried to address concerns piece by piece as I could but that is essentially what has been I mean there's a little bit more to it than that but that has essentially been what the holdup has uh has been this whole time that is the issue and so as you can see can't just snap your fingers and fix it I wish but you can't all right okay Luke on the 300 Main card UFC 300 Upsets. what fight do you think is most likely to produce an upset great great great question boy I did a bunch of tape study today I'm really hoping you guys have some s ukian questions for me cuz I did a bunch of tape study on him all right let's see let's see UFC 300 let's go to best fight odds let's see what they got for us all alrighty let's pull this sucker up let's see what we got okay I'll do this one like that okay so here we go so you we'll just do draftking are good friends at DraftKings so Pera is at minus 142 Jamal Hill plus 120 obviously just you know by numerically uh it's a strong chance of an upset I still like peta's chances there I wouldn't go with that one gatei and Holloway um obviously Holloway at plus 180 what's the chance of an upset there I'm going to say it one more time I believe that Justin is the favorite and should be the favorite I think that fight's a l there is a world where that fight there's obviously you can go any number of different directions but I feel like there's a decent chance that that fight ends up being a lot closer there's also a chance where Max gets blown the [ __ ] out I realize that I'm just saying I don't I don't think the likelihood that Max makes it competitive is as crazy as some other folks think but if that way Yan xaan Jong W Le I'd be very surprised if yon shaan won that one candidly I think Jong should win that one no problem Aran suuki and Charles Olivera High degree of upset dude they've got Olivera at plus 185 that's plus 190 depending on where you look that's high that's High um yeah that's high arbar yukin is getting a lot better the tape study really shows that you know what's kind of funny one thing I did I went back and I looked at how many times someone has attempted a submission on him and in terms of the statistical total there the answer is zero no one has been credited with a submission attempt on him now that doesn't mean no one has attempted um to set up up one on him it just means like no one got a bite on the armar that he had to really escape from no one got a bite on the heel hook that he really escaped one no one really got a very close rear naked choke that he had to hand fight on it doesn't that's not they're just saying it didn't get that far along but people have tried like so for example you can go back to ADCC gold medalist Davi hamos Davi hamos uh very different fighter than Charles Olivera but a highlevel Grappler if ever there was one he does a lot of setting up for arm bars for different submissions underneath and S yukin kind of really shuts it down before it gets going but the point I wanted to make is well I can respect that there isn't anyone who is credited with a submission attempt on him in part because of the way his defense works very proactively at the same time zyukin has not fought anyone who's got proactive submissions and the different routes and entries in the way way that Ola does just doesn't have anyone he's competed against who's like that whatsoever so if you go back to the derush fight with Ola he was able to get on top and stay on top for the majority of that round I'm not saying he would have won it but for the finish at the end but he was doing well enough to stay out of trouble for the most part and again it always happens the same way olera closes his guard guys start to open up on him he opens his legs knees up front uh foot in the shoulder foot in the hip it could be anywhere pushes off um or frames out just enough to roll underneath to invert and there he's going for outside Ashi there he's going for uh various forms of outside Ashi as a matter of fact there he's going for reverse deiva he's going to do it at deiva at times there's a bunch of stuff he's doing from those spaces that is so unique it's like suuki and I'm not saying he won't have an answer he probably will have something but that's a lot to deal with for someone who's never dealt with something like that so so Charles Olivera at plus 185 being a underdog or plus 190 at DraftKings um that seems like a very I won't say safe bet he's the underdog but among Underdog bets that seems like a decent one Bo nickel Cody Brundage Bo nickols a monster favorite don't understand the bow nickel blowback at all think it's [ __ ] stupid for the most part I really do uh not entirely but for the most part Alexander rackit at minus 135 and yaj at plus 114 that seems like a pick him as well you're not going to get a lot of value on that pick necessarily but I do think that there would be some there if you CH chose to go right um there you go okay Blanchfield Weight Drop. oops the misery machine writes it's reasonable to conclude that Manan Fior is a special talent but is it also reasonable to conclude that Aaron blanchfield is too small for 125 and has been stomping her previous opponents just because she is that good of a fighter Aaron is 24 and luckily hasn't entered her prime yet correct but do you think she should drop weight I feel like we're in a situation where a fighter is up a weight class higher than they should be Nate Diaz Kelvin gastam Etc and is winning because they are good enough to mitigate the size difference against other Fighters This is a very good question I'm going to give you a two-part answer to that part of it yes part of it no on the yes side I do think that if she I'm not saying she's undisciplined with her diet but if she were especially disciplined blend sure my door is locked she could probably make 115 that doesn't necessarily mean the competition gets easier but to your point she'd be more able to leverage um any particular physical advantages there potentially than she would be at 125 there is at least a world you can imagine where the athletic gifts that she already has and the sort of bulldozing style that she likes it might be more complimented at 115 relatively speaking than it has been at 125 in that sense sure I would say though that a couple things in response to that which is the second part of my response number one Fior is strong as [ __ ] and is unusually strong for that weight class the fact that blanchfield didn't look all that strong against her is not necessarily the biggest indictment I don't think uh and in fact you know she went toe-to-toe with Jessica Andra who is strong as [ __ ] and came out the better end of that I realize that was during a bit of a downswing for andrau I think even took that fight on short notice but nevertheless is a physical Powerhouse 7 days of the week and blanchfield was more or less okay with it so keep that in mind VR is just very very special and very very strong physically she is a physical Powerhouse in an unusual ways for the weight class it's like it's like almost like I me this is this is an exaggerated example but it reminds me of like people being like Oh so and so wasn't as strong as Rampage it's like right Rampage is in his prime was [ __ ] strong like you don't have to be you could still be a very good you don't have to go to 185 cuz he's at 205 and strong as an ox like it may not necessarily work out for you and that's not necessarily the best measurement either but uh again I'm not saying fure is Rampage I'm simply saying when they have when someone has that kind of outsized effect yes you have to take it seriously but you don't have to overcompensate for it depending on a few other factors that's one the second thing I'd say is even if she wanted to go to 115 which again could prove fruitful she had a real skill issue that was short changing her against Fior she could not get her fakes and faints to the extent she used them which by itself was a problem but even when she did Fior didn't buy it at all I talk about this all the time and it sounds a little silly just because you fake and just because you faint doesn't mean someone's going to bring their hands down or whatever you want them to do you have to be an effective salesman of it Sha whatever else you want to say about him is a very effective salesman of his own fakes and faints he is convincing when he's faking it it's not so easy to do it takes practice I know that the guys at City kickboxing will do rounds and rounds and rounds just on fak and faints in front of the mirror just to just to work on that and they're not the only ones who I bet do it either so it's one thing to just mechanically do it where I'm going to lower my level but what practical effect is it actually having on your opponent she couldn't really get that going and at times would just abandon it alt together and would just run in to fure you can't do that you can't do that it won't work it won't work at all it will not work against good Fighters and especially ones who are by themselves fure is a she's very strong physically she has good takedown and she has obviously very good attacks from a bladed stance you've seen that like the push kicks to the side the oblique kicks at times but more to the point she's very very good about maintaining range and she would just move a little bit out of the way and then pop blanchfield coming in guys changing weight classes won't fix that changing weight classes will not in any way fix that and you are has a particular kind of skill set that really punishes Fighters for that but she's not the only one there's fighters who are going to be taking advantage of that and certainly 125 is blossoming but 115 has very good Fighters if you're just not setting it up enough and you're got you have a bulldozing style and in general that bulldozing style works well for you it is super incumbent upon you to make sure that the salesmanship of The Fakes and faints are respected and acknowledged and that they work you have to trick your opponent you have to make them transfer defense they have to think X is coming and instead y does it if it's just two Rams colliding into each other you know it's just very coin Tossy if that's not really an effective way to get going and it really and it's not a coin toss because Fior has the ability to connect at range reset the range and dude did you notice how many inside and outside pivots she used to reset or escape and then go back on the attack in certain cases over and over and over again I would also argue I was a bit baffled at some of the technical issues that were hurting her blanchfield does have good body lock takedowns and the fact that they were stuffed I think was obviously a major impediment to her because that's her preferred style I I I you go back to someone like ilot Soria who does a level change and oh how about someone like Jon Jones too and then they'll reach out to the near side leg they'll literally reach like that to get someone to look down to be aware that that might be coming there was no real leg attacks there was no real level change threat like a actual threat that either been established or looked very plausible she would just kind of run in a little bit and it just wasn't very effective so again A lot of times people are like hey shouldn't they leave for another Camp maybe hey shouldn't they um you know take an easier fight maybe shouldn't they change weight class not saying that's necessarily unhelpful but if you can look at what's happening and say well these instances by themselves eles don't really have much to do with with size difference this is a skill issue I'm going to rank that as the most important thing to fix and then the other ones to come in behind it unless you're like continuously outsized which again she was outsized in this one a little bit more debatable whether she's outsized in other places all right Max talking about Max Holloway struggles with good kickers don't his boxing style what what plan Max vs. Justin's Kicks. should he be implementing to counter Justin's kicks man this one I went back and I did some tape study on this one too if you go back and you watch the third volkanovski fight what does volkanovski do the entire time by the way it's so funny to watch him do it he circles out to his own left the entire time and the reason why that's so big and so important is because Max leads often almost entirely off of his jab his jab is a rangefinder his jab is a rhythm disruptor or a rhythm Setter depending what he's trying to do and and it's the first and then the sequence comes behind it right I mean it's just key to his entire offense and you just see volkanovski constantly move away from it constantly move away from it lead hand to block the backand of Max which would be of course his right hand at that point um and he had no answer for it he couldn't deal with it so the first thing I'm going to say is when you go back and you watch Max's two fights with Jose Aldo what do you notice about them in the first fight he turns him one way he turns Jose one way in the second fight he turns him the other way I think a big part of this is going to be who is turning who and who can establish the jab if I'm Max I think you got to get that jab right in his face that's going to put you in the line of fire I mean there's no doubt about it um but the jab has to be backing him up that's going to diminish the leg kicking capacity to a degree I also think like just take down attempts like you might laugh at that but we have seen Justin gatei on the ground his takedown defense is very good but once you get get him to the ground there's a gigantic drop off in what he can do that's a that's by the way an admission he has made himself so I just feel like uh you know to counter the kicking on some level there's not on some level there's only so much you can do but I think part of it is going to be getting gy backed up it's going to be making him not uh or preventing him to the extent possible from circling to his own left uh it's going to have to be Max who's going to be the one who's going to be have to be turning uh Justin and I think in that process if he can turn Justin he can turn away from the leg kicks guys be like oh his his style doesn't work well against good leg kickers he finished Aldo twice Aldo's not a good leg kicker he finished him twice because he kept turning him and and Aldo not that he wasn't ever really settled but he wasn't ever fully settled into those places where he could really let go he was constantly kind of just trying to follow Max the whole time that's key that's going to be absolutely everything he got turned the second he got turned in the third fight against vulk big big big big difference if if Max is the one getting turned and he can't get his jab off as a consequence it's curtain's form curtain's form but I really do believe that the jab is possible I believe in turning gatei and I also think very very underrated um takedowns are not going to be easy to come come by but some level of attempt at it especially over a five round fight sh you know Max probably has no designs of doing this but some level of incorporation of that I think could U excuse me produce massive dividends massive let's see all right this is a good question all right uh hey Luke if Izzy loses so you're I think this is what what UFC 305 302 If Izzy Loses. whatever whatever number it is for Perth Australia regardless of the manor what do you think he should do at that point and what do you think he will do retire fight down the 185 rankings move to 205 so okay so let's assume it's a dricus fight so that means it's 185 and that means it's a title fight okay you're saying regardless of the manor I think the manor actually plays a major role here so if he is if Izzy gets viciously koed right or just stop with strikes I think the chances of his retirement are pretty high not automatic but High very high if he were to lose a controversial Split Decision maybe he calls for a a rematch I suspect what would happen instead is that he'd probably just go to 205 and then have some kind of Life there potentially right right in other words if he's competitive but it wasn't quite enough or whatever uh so I really do believe that the method of the victory or the method of the defeat well not the method of the victory actually I feel like if he gets the Victory and becomes Champion again that changes it no matter what but if he loses the ma the manner in which he loses plays a pretty significant role and I know that's not just true for him but that's true for so many fighters I've talked to who have gotten to this stage of their career where they don't really need to keep doing it they still want to kind of keep doing it but they don't want to do it like they're not want to get back to the back of the line and fight their way all the way through it again they don't really want to do that they're nearing 35 years of age you know they still have a little bit of life left in them but if they can't compete with the best anymore and if it's really starting to cost them they begin to make some serious um reviews of what really makes sense for them at that point so I think if he loses but barely and there's no call for some kind of rematch he goes to 205 uh if he loses and it's dominant a little harder to say but for sure I think if he gets knocked out or stopped with strikes I think there's a very decent chance he retires soon thereafter Luke I would love to see your opinions on who the goat of certain weight classes are and how far behind number two is and what they could do to get here for example Izzy and Anderson GOATs of Weight Classes. all right so let's go through it 125 goat that's easy that's Mighty Mouse second place is a long way away I don't even know who would be long [ __ ] way away 135 goat this is very debatable some might say Dominic Cruz I don't think so some might might say TJ Dillashaw um some might say Sterling um some might say we'll see what sha Ali does with it that one's a little bit more up in the air and it's a little bit more parody you could probably go with TJ although again some people don't want to do that because if he popped for EPO so take that I mean I don't think that really means that much to me but because I'm sure he fought a bunch of people on [ __ ] and a bunch of the people in other weight classes have been on that but whatever um 14 5 again debatable us either going to be a vul or Jose Aldo kind of debate there and neither one is far apart from the other one depending on how you look at it 155 khabib after that it's a little bit um let's see who would be number two at 155 I don't think you could do pen how Islam still has some work to do um charlesa certainly going to be very highly ranked in there as well yeah something like that uh 170 uh George S Pierre I think Kamar usman's number two I think Kamar usman's very very close but not quite there um for me it's going to be St Pierre I think St Pierre's record of uh dominance they're it's a little bit different but the the the title defenses and the Majesty of them and like the getting to the top of the game earlier in his athletic life um plays a bit of a role for me at 185 it's Anderson I think Izzy's number two someone asked like what if Izzy got the third belt a third time would that change the debate I don't think it would I think Anderson's so far ahead on quality wins and the consecutive nature of them it makes it very very difficult for anyone to catch him might happen but whatever greatest 205 I mean 205 has had it's got to be Jon Jones right and then after that it's just complete parody I'm not even sure who'd be number two Couture Liddell Ortiz Frank Shamrock I mean I'm not even sure how that would go that's a weird one um and then heavyweight greatest heavyweight Fedor um Cormier miic you know something like that miic Fedor and then miic and then you know you can have a debate about after that uh good question do you think Jamal Hill has more of a chance than people give him and thank you for the bo coverage last week in MK all day every day the answer is yes but with one fairly big caveat which is if I said this before I have no idea if he came back on an appropriate medical schedule they didn't have a main event for UFC 300 and Jamal Hill on the when it was announced which was like five weeks ago or something or no five weeks from the actual date itself maybe six at most he was like yeah they asked me today we just signed it today and so they probably gave him a bag of money and a bunch of extra fights on a deal and good for him which is all great but I don't know if that means he's actually medically ready to really return there won't be any issues there won't be any recidivism there's really that that seem that to me seems like the major X Factor in this whole equation do I think from a skill perspective he's got some talent to threaten and potentially defeat P yes yes not saying that that's inevitable but I do think he is very much capable of that no doubt about it but but I just really don't I mean there Achilles injuries man they can be devastating the Rehab on that can take a long time I realize that we are aware of some medical cases where they have an expedited timeline I feel like that's going to be less than Norm so we'll see so we'll see so it really really depend on how healthy he actually is if he's fully healthy that's a that's a coin flip or nearly I would favor slightly potato but but if he's not I mean you know what what does I don't know what leg kicks would do to his tendon but I wouldn't want to find out all right here we go what in your opinion is the biggest factor in determining card order and Main Events Card Order & Main Events. I.E should a title Eliminator in a weak division get higher billing than a low ranked fight in a strong one yeah in general in general listen if you watch MMA long enough you realize 170 is kind of the dividing line and it doesn't mean there's not talented people above it or scrubs below it but I've said this before MMA 155 and down and 185 and up are basically two different [ __ ] Sports they're very very different and so for that reason you as a fan might be saying oh man like on this card why the [ __ ] is this shitty ass fight even though I get it it's a number one contenders fight whatever why is it up here in this weak-ass Division and you got this great division yeah these guys might not be ranked but this is so much better you have to have some kind of system and some kind of principle in which to order your card and that doesn't mean you're always going get the best card but it does mean I'm using the word consistency I I should be very careful about that but in general having some kind of principled way in which you build a card should should matter so for example if you're looking at a card and you have five fights and you're trying to figure out which one is the main event I don't think it's a very good idea to be like well which one of these [ __ ] are the heaviest that to me seems silly and outdated as [ __ ] I don't like that idea at all however if you've got no ranked fighters on there except for one fight and two of them are ranked right and let's say they're ranked very highly inside the top five I think it is disrespectful to not give that either the top billing or pretty [ __ ] close to the top billing now of course that gets much harder to decide if you have many ranked Fighters and there's a lot of bouts of consequence and then how you arrange it can be quite difficult but your your question was should a title Eliminator which is basically as big as you can get non-title in a weak division get higher building than a low ranked fight let's say you know guys are battling in the 11 to 15 range in a strong one yes it should yes it should the stakes are more significant and as a general rule you can't just say matter ofly because this division's bad and that division's good that fight's going to be better than this one that fight is more deserving of top billing than this one the rankings however flawed they may be is still a reasonably is good system by which to determine card order or card placement more generally it is not without its flaws but it's a decent rubric and I just feel like automatically being you know I'm just going to play matchmaker already has so much latitude to pit this fighter against that one to make this division the Highlight or the low light they have so much creative freedom essentially to do what they want to do that having some kind of order that they respect I actually feel like we should we should be good we should be good with that we should actually respect that we should be happy about that fact so that's not the only measurement there are some other ones as well you do want to throw in a dash of celebrity you want to throw in a dash of do we have enough action fights or action Fighters and you know to what extent are we balancing all of our needs for the rest of the year I mean there's all these sort of equations or I should say variables that go into the equation but as a general rule no I don't think a decent fight in a very good division should get top billing over a title Eliminator in a you know relatively bad one but there can be also hold on there can be there can be ways out of that too if they've been doing it depending on how they've been booking it and what's available if they've been doing a bunch of heavyweight fights and it's title Eliminator or like top five guys just going to that all the time even if you might have another one that's like slightly ranked less but at bantom weight that maybe should potentially go above it um so it can get a little more complicated based on what kind of diet you're consistently feeding the audience but as a general rule I I would agree that the fight that the title Eliminator should serve above the other ones as a general rule out of gatei and Max who has more to lose in their fight I feel like gaii could lose his last title shot but on Gaethje vs. Max/More To Lose. the other hand Max could end up losing his chin so let me pull that fight up here if I can it's an easier answer when you think of it this way hold on so what I would say is okay so for this bout here's one reason why I really like um topology look here okay here's one reason so this is how old they're going to be at the fight itself pull this up so you can see there so at the fight itself gatei will be 35 years four months four weeks and two days max will be 32 years four months one week and two days now as a general rule we don't know exactly how much they have left right because that's really the question who has more to lose well how much do they have left Max on the odometer appears to have significant whatever metaphor you want to use tread on the tires miles on the odometer whatever there's a lot for Max so he is technically much younger about three years younger than Justin gatei so you might be tempted to say well he's got more time in in front of him but of course the actual damage and then the actual amount of trauma he has suffered may not necessarily line up directly with that but what I would say is Gate's also taken a lot of trauma less so more recently over the years in general but certainly has taken an enormous amount of trauma and is is at the 35e Mark at a weight class 155 PBS and down it almost seems unless Max is like totally ineffectual I would actually argue I mean here's the thing the capacity for who could suffer the most damage it feels like that is going to be Max Max is risking you know just the nuclear weaponry of a guy like Justin gatei on the other hand even with the miles in the odometer putting them well past the age of 32 right on the other hand if you're 35 and you're worried about title implications at 155 pounds and down it might already be too late right not so much for Max not so much in this fight with Max but for the major aspirations that he has more generally so I would say that listen Max is risking Max is going be against a very very very devastating puncher a devastating kicker and just an absolute animal in Justin gatei and in that sense he's risking a lot potentially much more damage that he could acrew I think if Max wins it will certainly be uh accumulative in nature that's how all of his stoppages come or some of his better wins anyway they're all kind of this accumulation but that Justin doesn't necessar isn't necessarily risking the same kind of beating on the other hand the margin of what he's got left to make use of what's in his career the window at the elite level anyway is super [ __ ] narrow super [ __ ] narrow um there's just not a lot of time left to do hardly anything so the physical risk would go to Max the potential risk for the long-term career value and by the way Max would also risk a lot there too it's not like Max oh I get the beating and then I'm just right back to it I mean that could fast forward the end of his career in a devastating way as well but if you're 35 and at 155 pounds again it could be the case that your windows basically already closed you know you have to think about in those terms too all right MK question uh luk I listen to morning Combat on Spotify but can't watch have you seen this [ __ ] because DraftKings is not available in MK/YouTube. Germany will you guys be back on YouTube yes youtube.com/ morning combat like And subscribe when one more time it's the exact same channel as before youtube.com/ morning combat youtube.com/ morning combat in the event actually let me just leave it alone at that yes youtube.com morning combat all right very good very good here we go I kind of did this one already Luke can you do an initial breakdown of gatei versus Max fight Justin does damage but eats a ton of volume in every bout max deals in volume but probably can't put Justin's lights Gaethje vs. Max Breakdown. out I'm curious what you think I think he can do it a little bit easy is not the right word I think he's a little bit more capable of it than you might imagine again but it's going to be about overrunning Gate's position overrunning him and making him run into stuff that he doesn't see anymore um and that will take time that just won't happen inside the first two rounds uh and I also think it comes from tying him up and making him work and making him work and making him work it can be done it's just going to be really [ __ ] hard and again turning him turning him turning him turning him jab in his face jab in his face it's going to be just Death By A Thousand Cuts man if you got go back and look at the Aldo fights both of them happen close to the 15minute Mark I think both were third round stoppages if memory serves keep that in mind um okay another MK question here can we get a peak behind the curtain on new programs MK will have in the year not yet we're still working on some of those and if the show will truly be live MK/New Programs. on uh like it was on YouTube yes yes once this whole process is over once everything has transitioned over everything's going back on YouTube Every segment every second every every laugh every chuckle every bad look every BC joke everything everything everything everything is going to go in there of course later on you can always get it no matter where you are on audio podcasts and for the folks who have it available it will also be on the draft Kings network but everything times a billion it's moving to moving back to I should say back to YouTube same channel we're not starting from scratch but we got to get it from one place to the other that has been the holdup this entire time we're in the we're in the home stretch of it believe me I have meetings about it every single day um it's just where we are okay oh look at that here we go same kind of question DDP versus Israel is Now official what would be Izzy's Legacy. Israel's Legacy if he's able to win a third time I mean here's the thing winning it okay would his legacy be similar to Randy in terms of winning losing and then again losing the title The thing about Randy is he was champion in both weight classes though right so he was a heavyweight champion as well as a light heavyweight champion and he was he did it over you know these weird time frames as well post-retirement and everything is he winning the third title would be I mean just insanely impressive insanely impressive but I don't feel like that's the same as what Silva did Imagine Silva just never lost to sha Strickland dude Silva had some stinkers the fight against Demian MAA stinker fight against Talis lies stinker he had some s the fight against cotay unsatisfying he had some bad fights you know but he still won them all and he doesn't have what Izzy had in terms of like that previous career where Izzy had a you know eight gazillion kickboxing matches and a bunch of pro boxing fights he doesn't have that but just in terms of pro MMA I I still feel like winning that third title I mean that winning that title the third time that is I mean to me Izzy is already no worse than the second best middleweight of all time no worse and number three I think whoever you want to put there is pretty far away from him so this would put even more to me it puts more distance between second and third and certainly catches them up a little bit to Silva I just don't know if it laps Silva I dude I saw all of Silva's run I saw it in Pride and I saw it in the UFC I remember exactly I remember I went home the day he fought Chris leben I was telling people about that fight at work that day and I've told a story before it was that fight in some other ones where I went to um it was also the Caro and Diego fight but I went to uh summers in uh I don't think it exists anymore summers in Arlington Virginia and I just drank and watched that fight and it was [ __ ] glorious it was glorious I I remember I watched the whole thing his run of dominance and the amount of times he got put into trouble and the amount of times he found to find his way out is unlike anything I think I've ever seen and what Izzy has done has been ridiculous but it hasn't been quite on that level um so there is a debate to be had about that winning a title a third time is so unique and so incredible and so difficult that I certainly think that there is a debate to be had I'm not telling you that I can definitively just declare he's only second best but for me it would still keep him second best but Jesus dude that I mean that that's that's you know Hall of Fame [ __ ] I mean he's already probably going to be in it but that's that's like serious Hall of Fame [ __ ] uh I'm having a hard time understanding the UFC Endeavor TKO and Silver Lake D can you break it all down I've not looked at it extensively but the basic idea is that Silver Lake already own part of uh Endeavor and they're going to buy the rest of it by basically whatever the share prices are for how many shares there are they're going to buy it and then take the whole thing private part of TKO Holdings will remain publicly tradable but in general Endeavor uh will just go private again it will not be it will not be public because Silver Lake the private Equity Firm is just going to buy the remainder of what is the public value of the company is the simple way to understand that you know I hear conflicting things about this okay good question though with with seemingly little effort from the UFC to Market to the youth unlike other sports how do you think it will affect the future of the fan base I mean UFC Marketing To Youth. I hear conflicting things about this on the one hand I have people on college campuses tell me that all the Bros on college campus are like super excited about UFC can't wait to watch every weekend the numbers in terms of the head count to match their enthusiasm grows month over month year over year I have heard things like that part for me to know exactly how true that is without proper studies but I've certainly anecdotally been on the receiving end of some of these kinds of stories on the other hand you talk to other people who are both inside and outside the industry but are industry observers and they tell you the MMA is actually getting less popular over time obviously it's growing in international markets but domestically it might be contracting a little bit I I don't think we really know the answer to that yet I I just I just don't um listen fighting is all there's a there's an listen there are plenty of arguments to make about what the UFC could do better to make their product reach further places I don't think that they really care that much guys it's not that they don't want to expand their product or they don't want people to like it that's not what I'm saying but if you're already a monopoly in the industry they are flush with cash and I said it before about this fighter pay thing I'm going to say it one more time guys there is no MMA industry there's just the UFC industry with little spring wrinkles of MMA throughout the regional parts of of the world again there's something to be said for international class events that are happening in Europe and places like that but in general it's it's just them they've brought all The Regulators to heal to get them to even sanction power slap but beyond that make fighter pay not public anymore and not just in small [ __ ] commissions like Florida but big ones like Las Vegas huge that Nevada would do that right no longer makes pay public they've got the they've got a totally captured uh regulatory in uh apparatus several years ago we knew they were making 90 cents of every dollar in the industry that's what it was measured I I suspect it's even more now I mean who is making money like no one's really put this together a little bit right like so I'm going to retain some kind of relationship with CBS we're still working out some of the details but the job that I had is going away has nobody noticed that they're not replacing me like Paramount just got out of the Combat Sports business and I'm not mad about it that's you know it sucks for me but that's the way that life goes you know like you just you got to roll with the punches metaphorically and uh it's not personal it's just business and that's the way that it goes but has like nobody noticed this like other networks can't like there's no money in MMA if if you don't have a relationship with UFC and UFC under excuse me if you look at the NFL the NFL gives some of their product to Fox they give some to CBS which of course can air stuff on Paramount they give some to NBC which put a game on peacock like they give their product to a bunch of different entities and so there are all of these different jobs that go just from the teams to the league itself and all of these different networks but like in MMA it's just UFC like if you're airing pfl you're for the most part you're just losing money on that [ __ ] you're just losing money on that and Bellator and everything else you're just losing money doing that there's no money in covering any of that like what's the long-term value proposition for any entity and I know realize that ESPN's also in the UFC business but that's not a permanent condition either maybe they go somewhere else who knows maybe they go to Netflix I don't know but I'm just pointing out if if you deal with any other entity not on that one there's no money there's just no money and so I don't think it's I really dawned on people people like the industry has MMA has expanded in the sense like the consciousness of the sporting public has been captured in ways that like blows my mind relative to 2005 and look at the international growth that's amazing but domestically it has shrunk not so much in terms of the um well we don't really know exactly how much in terms of the fan base but certainly in terms of the industry itself it's either you're in with the UFC or that is it you can't make money in MMA if you're not aligned with them basically you know exceptions here or there so like understand that understand like that's that's just what the industry the industry just is UFC anymore they settle the fighter lawsuit they're flush with cash I I've had friends reach out like how you know because dude it's weird like I've said this a million times I'm just going to repeat it very quickly you go to boxing events it's all black and Latin people you go to MMA events it's vast majority white people there's like this really weird racial divide and you can think it's good or it's bad you can make whatever you want of it but I've I've had people ask me hey how come UFC doesn't want to reach out to like hardcore boxing fans of who are maybe black or Latino and obviously their growth into Mexico is changing some of that on the Latino side but they don't seem to be all that necessarily like hardcore reaching out to go to these other demographics but like if you're the UFC and you've got this kind of control of the industry and you're making record numbers you're making record profit you're making more than every other promotion in MMA and boxing combined you don't need to go and figure out just from a business standpoint you from a business survival you don't need to go and reach out to um other smaller groups you like the amount of money and control you have is so astronomical for your survival or for profit you're not required to do it at all there's no profit motive in that sense uh whatsoever again there's an international growth component which changes things a little bit but so it's it's like how the UFC is not marketing to the youth fight fans are always going to be young males 18 to 40 or 18 to 39 34 is going to be your like your really wheelhouse 1834 and a little bit above a little bit below that's just always going to be who is interested in fighting I'm not saying UFC couldn't do a better job of marketing to this group or that one they probably could but based on the financial returns that they're making do they really need to I think that that's a very debatable very debatable thing how often do you want to put BC in a bag and drop him off the boat never dude never well a little bit the other day he pissed me off but I was off air it was just other [ __ ] but in general never in general never here we go I understand the importance of Connor being the first to achieve double champ Conor's Legacy. status in the UFC but does having zero title defenses in both weight classes diminish his legacy as Champion uh sure there's a question about how much it diminishes and there is a debate to be had about that but you ever seen that episode of Breaking Bad early on where Walter White captures the guy uh I forget exactly the sequence but he has the guy trapped um with his hands tied behind his back I believe uh at the bottom of the house he was in where they were you know initially cooking or whatever the case was and the reason I remember it is because he makes a list of like should I kill him or not and it's like the pros and then the cons and the cons are of course like it's morally horri horrible and you'll you know you'll lose sleepover the rest of your life and blah blah blah and then the pros are you know the various ways of getting away with the crime and in the end he actually does kill the guy um so what I mean to say is with anyone's resume what are the pros like double champ status you know alltime performance at UFC 205 beating Jose Aldo alltime performance I mean just all these incredible things he did KH didn't defend any of them took the vast majority of the second half of his prime totally off um you know blah blah blah you can go down it yes like that counts against him does it mean it counts against him and the like oh well there's no way he could ever recover from this and it totally damages for all time it's a debate about how much it hurts but does it hurt yes I've seen people be like oh it doesn't really matter no it matters it matters you can't in a world where whether you won titles how many titles you won how many times you defended it um around what expansive time and what kind of opponent quality not defending two titles when you were the first one to hold both at the same time absolutely counts against your record there are other things that count in favor of it but that counts against your record one billion perc yes tu's home I don't know if youall hear um okay Luke I've lived the last four months here in Columbia with the wifey with one month to go and then back to Toronto would you ever consider moving here or doing a 50/50 split if it wasn't for my kid I'd probably already live there to be perfectly honest with you uh yeah yeah I would um quality of life is High um you can live like a king on an American salary um there's no there's there's good parts and bad parts about any place certainly I would say that safety is a concern in a lot of different places other there's not so much um but yes you know if you lived in a big city obviously security is going to be a concern so there's trade-offs there but to me the trade off would be worth it so yeah I would absolutely do it but it's hard with a kid you know what I mean like it's hard to oh we're just going to pull her out of school like no like she needs consistency so uh also my family being here makes it a little bit more difficult not not a deal break per se but makes me less likely to do something like that but like if I were single or something and I was 28 and could work anywhere yeah I'd probably get the [ __ ] out of here yeah all right hold on okay last one on this one then we'll get to some of the paid stuff here we go y'all Max Looking Big. hear she hasn't napped I can just hear it you know what's funny man let me tell you one thing all my life when I heard a baby or a kid cry it was like nails on a chalkboard and you your your reaction when you're a 25-year-old idiot is always like H another crying kid on the plane or whatever the [ __ ] and now I hear them and I have the exact opposite now I hear them and I feel immediate sympathy for them and I feel immediate um pain for them and that only happened after I became a dad it was and I didn't have any choice in the matter it just changed my dad said to me one one time like a very simple way and he I was like I don't know if this was a year I was like 22 I was like oh I don't know if I want kids and he was like your biology will change and then you will and I didn't quite know what that meant but now I do it just right under your feet you just became a different person in certain ways uh very quickly back to this one am I being delusional or is Max looking pretty big and might have a better chance than we think especially considering how much damage gatei has taken again I'm going to say it gatei is the favorite and I think deserves to be the favorite gun to my head I would pick gatei to win but people being like Oh Max is just going to get slaughtered there of course is a world where you could go and imagine him just getting pounded and you're like oh right that whatever but I still feel like it's worth taking seriously Max being able to to withstand put volume on him make him work and change the tide of this fight late now the fact that gatei came back against FIV in round three really speaks highly to his his own preparation his own veteran Savvy and a whole lot more but he's also taken a lot of damage and I think people are just slightly overconfident there's plenty of reason to have confidence in ki got to my head I'm picking him to win but the amount of confidence like oh poor Max it's like I get that do understand that but should we take seriously some of these other conditions that are in play I I do feel like we should yeah all right I've gone for about an hour on the free stuff let's see what you got whoops let's see what you got on the uh on the old PID you want to put in a donation in the Super Chat I appreciate that and of course you're remember you can contribute for free there we go look at this Christ Kristoff welcome to the team if this is the real John Nash then we're cooking with gas boys and girls well welcome friend uh wi sir says what are your most highly recommended highbrow media sources that you don't have to pay High Brow Media Sources. for [ __ ] um that I don't have to pay for um I don't know I don't think any you get what you pay for in this world I mean I would guess the I guess the answer to that would be like you know uh certain places have really good news coverage that you can get from what they released to the public with without it being behind the pay wall so for example that that uh ship hit the the Key Bridge in Baltimore and I'm sure you all saw it and the whole thing collapsed terrible terrible tragedy uh there is a local Baltimore smaller news organization called the Baltimore Banner their Tik Tok account is awesome not just on the bridge being hit but about Baltimore News in general now I don't know how much any of you would care about Baltimore news but for those who might the Baltimore Banner does really great job on Tik Tok so what I would say is the person who runs any kind of media organization that you might like the person who runs their Twitter account might not be the person who runs their Facebook or Tik Tok or they could be very very different people so try to explore around through the different ones that you can get try to get gifted articles if you can a lot of places have like sign up deals that end up being pretty cheap but like in the end if you want like a scientific paper or a quarterly journal or a newspaper or any of those you have to pay for all those things like you have to pay for quality in this world that's just the way that it goes try to be selective about it and again there are other ways to complement that but on some level if you're not paying for any of your news you're probably not getting great news in general what's up Greg welcome to the party okay I've averaged four and a half hours of sleep per night for the past eight months haven't tried anything Trazadone. prescription yet but I'm considering trazodone any advice guys if you're getting four and a half hours of sleep for eight months you're killing yourself okay not a doctor not a sleep expert to the best of my knowledge as I understand it certain people are going to be able to sleep um a lot less than other people there is a range of experiences that people need you getting four and a half hours may not be as DET detrimental as me getting four and a half hours but I can tell you that if I got four and a half hours consistently for eight months I might be dead I don't think I could function very well at all I don't need a ton but I usually need at least seven or potentially eight that's especially true if you're lifting weights I saw this guy who was a crossfitter I forget his name but he made a point with which was sleep is so beneficial for your body for your brain for your body in general and especially for your athletic recovery that if sleep like if the benefits you got from sleep if you could put that into a pill they would ban it if sleep were a peed they would ban it or a drug they would ban it because of how performance enhancing it actually is and that's not just again that's not just physically that's cognitively um as well you're asking about trazodone I'm not going to tell you to get on prescription medic medications I think that's only a conversation for you and your doctor I can tell you about my experiences my experiences which could be very different than yours have been very positive using trazodone took me a little while to find the right dose I'm at 100 or you know on occasion 125 milligrams but basically 100 milligrams every time I use it and that seems to do the trick for me and really help me out a lot but uh I cannot in any way recommend for you that that's the solution to your problems you really should consult some with somebody who has an expertise I'm only sharing with you what has been good for me okay Alexi I think I'm pronouncing that right thanks for all your content keep up the good work and good luck with MK all right well thank you sir I appreciate that positivity that's what I want to see I heard an MMA fighter say that MMA is more safe than boxing why is that so that depends what they mean if MMA Safer Than Boxing. they mean safer for your brain there is some there is some truth to that if they mean um like long-term Orthopedic injuries that's not true but because the punishment is distributed over the course of the body there is some research to indicate that you get less head trauma ultimately in the end the trade-off of course is that you get much more injured in the course of training Dr Mike isrel has noted that MMA training is so difficult it can actually be catabolic for you which is not what what you want um and you know there's different trade-offs along the way but for brain damage there is an argument to be made I don't think it's firmly settled but there certainly is some evidence to suggest that the brain injury is less I hope you got your dog obnoxiously Barbas. white veneers he's he's doing great he had to get a handful of teeth removed which was way better than I thought it was going to be and then uh barbas had to get dental surgery yesterday I had to take him out of the city to go to this place that does uh I wouldn't call it cheap but cheaper than what your vet your vet might charge you 3,000 bucks to clean your dog's teeth and if they are any any extractions and they'll they'll do them there but it can be like insanely expensive I went to a place that's like a fraction of the cost and uh it worked out really really great his teeth look awesome his breath is amazing they only had to take a handful of teeth which for a dog that has 42 teeth they said that was no big deal so I was so happy I was so happy that worked out incredibly well um and he's doing great he's a his gums are a little bit swollen today he's on painkillers for a little while I think he's got two weeks of soft food to let everything heal but uh he's doing awesome he's doing awesome so thank you so much Luke how do you think a potential Arnold Allen yir Rodriguez fight goes Arnold Allen vs. Yair. seems like the fight to making as both guys are coming off of losses also great question all offense on one side very selective offense on the other side and the question is who could make the other one open up I would just favor um Yer Yer just puts too much pressure I in general guys with Elite defense I think in general are going to do better than people who don't have Elite defense as a general rule so many cases you would pick Arnold Allen uh and of course you could say oh look at the fifth round he had against max if he just turns it up he can do better that might be true but I don't know how accessible that is to him round to round fight to fight even though Yer does not have Elite defense he does have overwhelming offense I think for most people that forces people to be not just defensive in nature but defensive um in terms of limiting their overall offense like they're just their General posture doesn't allow them to be very offensive so I would actually favor Yer in that one but that's a hell of an interesting fight because certainly there's a case where Arnold could Counterattack and and then you know volkanovski dropped him dropped Yer and ultimately finished him off based off of making reads from him just constantly launching into offense over over and over again um there's a there's there's reason to believe especially in a five round fight Allen could do something like that but he would he would be under the gun A lot of times that's an that's an amazing style contrast I love that fight Rocky says if a female fight is Female PPV Fights. not on the pay-per-view excuse me if a female fight is not pay-per-view Main Event worthy why can't we just have five male fights talk to your boys at the U yeah I'm sure they'll take my call right away if if a female fight is not pay-per-view Main Event worthy why can't we we just I mean you're starting to play with like gender quotas when you do [ __ ] like that I think there I okay here's the thing I don't want to give there there there's a lot of people in the MMA industry that have insanely retrograde attitudes towards women Fighters media fans everybody I mean my timeline is just filled with people [ __ ] on gay people for no reason and hating on women half the other time I'm just like what the [ __ ] are we doing why are we back in 1991 but okay we are I don't think it's wise to sort of like numerically count or think of it in that way I think it's better to just try to make the best fights you can and you don't want to force in quot of one way or the other you just want to make the best fights you possibly can but the point I'm trying to make to you or to the audience more generally is I think it is fair that we take a step back and be like dude what is happening with female MMA women's MMA right now we don't want to be too broad with this there of course are a number of very talented Fighters and there could be any number of number one Contender fights between men in various weight classes that don't end up being interesting that's not my point nor do I think it's the end of the world that that women tend to go to decision more than men but there's just not a lot of Life there with a couple of exceptions obviously grao and chevchenko got an amazing thing going great more more power to him uh I thought blanchfield and Fior was going to have a little bit more juice to it it didn't in the end there's not a lot of rivalries I've been over this before there's not a lot of rivalries there's not a lot of news coverage there's not a lot of big names there's not there's just not a lot happening on the women's side that is super exemplary there's some stuff that's happening like that but not nearly as much as there once was it used to be the biggest name in the game was a woman and that many of the women trying were you know three five 7 10 of the terms of the biggest names in the game like it was a bunch of women and we have moved which was great dude like the the audience changed completely when that happened we have moved a long way from that and I don't really have a great explanation for that I have to think more about it I'm not exactly sure entirely how pervasive it is either but it's pervasive enough where like I'm kind of shocked by it uh how routinely we're up against these situation but we don't judge men's fights like if it's not Main Event pay-per-view worthy then it shouldn't be on the card if it's a good fight and you want to put it there and it serves you know a variety of different purposes in terms of stacking the rest of the cards and then other events you could put on the main card I don't think you should think of it in those terms but I do recognize even for all the [ __ ] completely retrograde attitude that people have towards women in the game the women side of the sport needs some needs some work by the way I'm not saying Rocky that you have I'm not saying this gentleman has retrograde ideas is I'm just saying in general I do see it all the time random throwback wedi box Pettis Pettis vs. Dustin. versus Dustin oo probably wedy box Pettis if you're fighting the Dustin of that time um but obviously Dustin ended up doing some pretty great things Valter Walker. thereafter okay volter Walker this is a Brazilian guy who's fighting here this weekend the 66 undefeated heavyweight brother of Johnny Walker debut there you go debut this weekend 26-year-old and untested does his story end as a tale of Glory or Comedy of Errors there's not a lot of brother combos in MMA where it worked out well for both I'll just leave it at that thoughts on UFC and Endeavor split Silver Lake Buyout. with TKO and private biot with Silver Lake turn the UFC back to a private company again yeah dude I listen why if you're the UFC why the [ __ ] wouldn't you wouldn't you why would you create more financial transparency for for [ __ ] like me to see what would you do that for take it back private bring everything in dude drug testing inh housee commissions brought to the heel sponsorships they control everything fighter pay they control everything lawsuits settled they're making money hand over fist bring it back in private there's no Financial transparency one going to move uh their headquarters away so there's less Financial transparency this is what they're going to do I got to tell you boy boy I tell you what man my appetite to like go after fighter pay I mean I can't say this is a permanent thing I can only tell you how I feel right now but the way I feel right now I don't give a [ __ ] like I'm so I'm not over it at it's still a wrong that deserves to be wred like I I get that and I do feel bad for the fighters who you know do try to advocate for themselves and get [ __ ] on for it but I've seen people bring up it's like oh well the fighter don't want to say anything because it would negatively affect them guys do you do you think I have not suffered negative consequences for advocating on behalf of more Equitable Equitable pay for Fighters I mean that's just a cowardly [ __ ] argument I won't toate two [ __ ] seconds oh it might hurt your career yeah and either it [ __ ] matters or it doesn't and for most of them it just doesn't and because it doesn't then I don't know why that I'm supposed to provide any further bandwidth to this issue especially when I mostly have been given grief I mean I've had Fighters reach out to say thanks for nice things I've said in various times I've never had one reach out to thank me for uh things I've said about all right box media how's that working out for you they might have shows on there Vox Vox Media. doesn't own them I don't care about VOX media just appreciating the content Luke all the best from Kona K Colona the for famed hometown of Roy McDonald yes thank you Dave appreciate you bro all right this was the uh this was the uh poll I put up Poll Results. who wins at 300 got a 478 votes Justin gatei 64% Max holway 35 little on strong side but I don't I don't hugely disagree uh if you fancy a documentary on sporting greatness would highly Ronnie O'Sullivan Doc. recommend Ronnie OS solivan the edge of everything he's a genius I don't know what that is hopefully that's not some guy who is a uh hopefully this is not some uh you know I don't know it's like oh Luke was talking about a child predator on his uh [ __ ] thing I mean I don't know who Ronnie o solivan is so you have to forgive me all right big Luke taking the GMAT in a few weeks all right going to go to business school huh as a math nerd what are some study tips for understanding retaining math Studying Math. techniques uh the problem with one of these kinds of questions is um it's not to say that there aren't things you first of all I've never taken the GMAT so like as it relates to what you need to know for the GMAT I wouldn't know I never took it um that's the first thing I'd say secondly like my problem with this question is is not that I didn't study for math or like think about different individual tricks but but not knowing what's on the test it's very very difficult for me to say also a lot of the stuff I got right I just kind of figured out like most of the people I knew who were good at math knew principles of mathematics or principles of whatever math subject they were involved with at the various time which I knew them and they were able to just problem solve I I I think if you were thinking about math as a series of tips and tricks I mean there was one time on there I mean this was uh God this was a long time ago this must what grade was this Jesus ninth grade I was forced to take U some kind of U SAT prep course that the state of Georgia made us take everyone had to take it and never forget we had a that we had a right angle on the um on the triangle it was a triangle with a right angle and we were trying to determine the lengths of each leg and the the teacher came up with this like we knew like the length of one length and then half the length of the other so you're trying to find the length of the hypotenuse and so she came up with all of this like big long math equation to try like well if it's this proportion to this one then it has to be this one to this one it had so many steps and I remember looking at her and I was like it's a 345 three on the first leg four on the bottom leg the hypotenuse is five anytime you have a three and a four relationship with the first and second leg you have a five with the other you don't need all this [ __ ] you don't need 20 steps of math I'll never forget when I took symbolic logic I've showed you guys the book before there was one time I'll never [ __ ] forget it there was one time I we had to do proofs and you had to do proof about how you get a certain result and I showed all my steps and my answer was correct and I got a correct answer for it but it took me I forget the number of steps and you could do it in about half those number of steps and the professor docked me because he said my answer was um was inelegant that the shorter answer was more elegant you could do it in a simplified way these are the sort of things that I don't have any tips and I don't think I don't think math comes down to that thoughts on LeBron's new pod after LeBron's Podcast. a few episodes I've only listened to one in totality and then the rest I've seen on social Clips it's amazing it's amazing it's great I [ __ ] love it um from what I've heard from what I've heard they don't talk about [ __ ] stupid ass takes on the day they get to just nerd out I [ __ ] wish I had someone I could do that with I mean obviously I never fought but I wish I had a partner I could like just explore issues like that with I think it would do so well if there's any fighter out there that wants to do this with me and you you you're reasonably good at what you you've done and you can talk reach the [ __ ] out to me I would love to do a podcast like that I think it could be a big hit now can't be [ __ ] LeBron James and what he's done but it could be good what country has the most overrated food and which has the most underrated ooh oh that's a good Overrated/Underrated Food. one overrated I might get killed for this okay I mean I'm going to get killed for this I don't give a [ __ ] overrated underrated uh underrated um let me go to overrated first be very careful about what you mean when you say overrated I am not saying it's bad it is good it is Elite in many cases but the amount of especially here in in the United States the amount of Praise that is heaped on top of it as if it's like the be all end all French food is slightly overrated in my judgment um you're going to say oh my God this is the home of know Western well it's the home of a certain kind of Western cooking which most of it is First Rate please don't misunderstand me again it's the level of like godliness and untouchability that people attribute to it and I don't think that that it really holds up uh under some of those strict views so I'd say that is overrated under those context underrated who's got underrated food um that's a tougher one that's a tougher one um I will tell you that like there's a place out in the city here I don't know where they specialize in they call themselves food from West Africa and I was very skeptical to try it I tried it one day and it blew my [ __ ] mind it was ridiculously good um but that's so generic to call it West African and there's so many different kinds of people from West Africa so I don't know if that's the right answer to give but that one like genuinely shocked me um trying to think of like places I've been where I was just like wow holy [ __ ] um Turkish food a little overrated not that money um it's good it's good like everything I'm saying is good but like the amount of cumin that they put on everything is a little strong um I'm trying to think of like a really underrated food place that I've been to like just like amazed that's a little harder to say um you know what there's a couple of uh I don't I don't know much about it I've only eaten in a couple places that are like this but I've had leosan food that is surprisingly pretty good J Jamaican food I think can be not as celebrated as it should be so I would go like Le ocean Jamaican West African things like that as like really underappreciated places and you you know the easy answer is something in South America but I don't know how underrated those Cuisines are also Colombian cuisine is like very very like traditional and it's good but it's not super wide ranging uh with the streak Justin is on Max vs. Justin. and being the heavier guy I'm thinking Max ain't going to be upsetting anybody again I think Justin should win I just feel like the dismissiveness that people have towards Max's chances are a little strong MK all day thank you sa okay Quinn says since you've been Building An Audience. talking about the challenges of building an audience what advice would you have for a writer and a commentator trying to grow online uh well there are going to be no media jobs for you you can just go ahead and cross that one off the list no media jobs that pay anyway so that's the first thing I'd say you plenty of critique about to what extent I've done this myself but a lot of times people ask me like oh how does it feel to have views that are so different from the rest of the MMA industry and at times it can be dismaying but a lot of times it actually gives me a benefit because it lets me introduce ideas even if they get shouted down it gives me a different perspective it allows me to look at the situation and offer a different perspective that may or may not get circulated among people who have more or less very similar ideas about the sport or about the world I think that's a big part of it you really have to ask yourself why does anybody need to watch or read my [ __ ] and the answer is they don't really have to but like among people who would be interested in learning more about this and discussing it why do they have to listen to you what is it that you are providing that they cannot get elsewhere and a lot of times even the very most talented people can't give you a great answer to that they just do it a little bit differently but um if you can really provide a different perspective or an what they call Value ad so someone for example no one was talking about saber metrics of course saber metrics didn't exist but then someone began to bring them into baseball conversation and really expand them from there and then media folks who are really good at the statistical side of things could really make you know an inroads into what they want to do or people who had really great videography skills what they could bring to YouTube and to tell stories more interestingly or somebody who could combine two of those worlds you have to bring in a perspective that I cannot get somewhere else that I cannot or or can't get it nearly as good in other place obviously you can get a lot of things there's a lot of redundancy but the value of what you bring there the way it's presented the way you're telling a story what tell me why it has to be from you and if you can't answer that then you can't build an audience it's as simple as that you should have a very clear sense about why that's different hi Luke friends friend thinks 3 vs. Jon Jones. myself and not one other person all in train can take on Jon Jones like a professional fighter I tell him he's in insane but have come here for a professional answer to him your friend's going to get his [ __ ] pushed in did you guys see that kid fight the seven dudes it was a black on white thing but did you guys see the uh the kid at the pool who fought like like seven white guys whatever it was and like dropped nearly all of them and that I don't think that guy had any training and those dudes didn't have any training it was it was the blind leading the blind so to speak but it just sort of shows you if one person has an athletic advantage or even goes first or whatever and then you add in all of the [ __ ] skill that John Jon Jones is going to [ __ ] your friends up dude for forget Jon Jones put Mighty Mouse in there he's going to [ __ ] your friends up you guys have I I've said this before if you want to get really good at tennis you don't really have an opportunity to go spar with or you know play play play a couple of uh of games with uh jokovic or Nadal or whoever Carlos alcaraz or whoever the whoever the new hot [ __ ] guy is you can't really you have no access to them but dude you can get access to world class guys if you want to go train Jiu-Jitsu if you want to go train MMA a little bit of consistency and they'll bring you on the pro team and you can get some rounds in you can find out exactly how good they are believe me do not take my word for it do not go take that Pepsi challenge see what happens to your friends they're going to get the the only thing preventing your friends from dying multiple of them and an attack on Jon Jones is his Mercy that's CA Commission. it if commissions all implemented the California commission with the 15% weight rule so they have they there a there's a limit to how much they can reway the next day how would the landscape of MMA change no more weight bullying there'd be less but I don't think it would change the landscape of MMA you still have MMA in a lot of overseas places there would be some restructuring about what weight classes people went to or U how often they competed there would be some there would be significant Fallout but I don't think it would eliminate weight cutting no it would eliminate certain forms of it or I'm sorry weight bullying um there would be there would be some elimination of it but it wouldn't be complete should more MMA fighters take the boxing model and take the lower level fights until they build their skills example sugar Shan and Habib pre-ufc Fighters Taking Lower Level Fights. yes it's very difficult to do because there's no money in doing that and so you have to spend a much longer time not making anything that's the trade-off so there's a lot of guys they're like oh I'm I have seven fights I want to go to the UFC don't recommend that don't recommend that the number of times I've seen guys go to the UFC with seven fights and it work out versus not you know one to a thousand it can happen it does happen [ __ ] Brock went there with what one or two one I think he beat MSU Kim and that was it you know it can happen it can happen but uh yeah not often any advice for learning a guard I'm a blue belt and most of my guard right now is a mix of random techniques from class Learning A Guard. with no real system to connect them that is a very common experience for someone at your skill level um couple of things it will depend on your body type and it will depend on what your instructor does uh or says for you so first of all you have to figure out what your body type is and what kind of guard might work best for you in that circumstance the that only that answer um only you know the answer to that question let me make sure everything's good here yeah um the answer I would give is probably playing half [Music] guard for Pure Jiu-Jitsu obviously is a self-defense component but it's just a question of how much time you want spend doing that but half guard is one where the access to different kinds of offense while maintaining defense um and the ways in which you can connect to so many other different uh points of offense is very very high um there's tons of sweeping opportunities there's lots of self-defense from there there's lots of ways in which you can incorporate actual real self-defense training into there technical standups that can come from that um controlling posture off any kind of shoulder Crunch and a whole lot more there's actually a lot of benefit there and it just creates for much more offense and offense that can turn into wrestling up offense that can turn to under hooking I would learn to play with half guard personally and begin to work from that but you really have to decide like what is the best guard for you and then once that is buy a tutorial on BJJ Fanatics and start incorporating everything and you will begin to connect the different points of emphasis together no question live chat always makes my work go by faster well thank you sir I appreciate that Liam says can there be a new 4 o 4oz MT Promotion. Muay Tha promotion From the Ashes of one or will it die with one's inevitable fall somebody will pick it up some and by the way I don't know how long one's going to be around it could be many more years it could not be it's really hard to say there's lots of financial instruments that they could access that could help them with longevity so we'll see but it seems like too good of an idea a for only one promoter to pick up there's lydian thank you sir appreciate it oh there's ant why did you Forced Perspective Shot. do BC so dirty with that forced perspective shot on MK last week poor guy looked like Sam wi gamg said forced perspective [ __ ] I was just sitting next to people what do you want me to do I can't help that everyone else represents the Lollipop Guild and I don't is there a culture War excuse me Culture War. is the culture War War a big distraction from what the public should really be fighting on let's partake in class war fuk the rich yeah it's a gigantic waste of time it's a gigantic waste of time like we're going to be battling over who the [ __ ] drinks Bud Light I mean oh my God it's so [ __ ] stupid like you know like we have real very difficult challenges that are going to require very capable legislators legislatur to craft important um consequential forms of legisl if they're battling on all of these terms they can't possibly be doing the job that we need Luke you've got a good taste in comedy and have very good timing have you ever considered dabbling in standup Standup Comedy. comedy even if it's just for Open Mic once you're in the DMV no I don't have the slightest degree of interest I'm good Lil Lo says shout out to the community we keep growing in numbers yes shout outs to all the uh people who are here shout outs to all the members love y'all here's another one Ian says what's the highest selling MMA pay-per-view of Highest Selling MMA PPV. the last few years I just hope the model goes away I don't know if we've had accurate enough uh reporting to really know what the answer is to that um probably anything that McGregor's been in most recently but I think I think McGregor parier 3 or two might have been pretty big McGregor Cerrone I think was pretty big but short of that I'm not really sure I've heard some numbers banded about but none of them independently verified what's up J Chapman welcome to the party all right Chuck and Ariel Chuck On RSD. mentioned you and how they missed the MMA beat days on their ringer Show recently oh did they really any chance of having Chuck on RSD in the near future we had him already on um RSD uh but I think he's going to be in studio on Monday for Mk so be on the lookout for that Steve says do you think Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson would have to change venue Cowboy stadium holds 100,000 people no I was there for Errol Spence Jake Paul vs. Tyson. versus um yord Denis ugas and they had I think little less than 50,000 they had like 40,000 and some change looked pretty good it still looked pretty good and that was Errol Spence and ugas like Mike Tyson and Jake Paul dude you can say whatever you want about Jake Paul and I I've been to his fights you know it's it's it's a lot of people who lost money in crypto and a lot of garbage pale kids that's the reality but between that and Mike Tyson and what they can bring to a show it's probably [ __ ] significant like I I don't think it's an issue I really don't Lee welcome to the party oops did this [ __ ] thing die hold on oh you got to be [ __ ] me did this thing die it might have hold on oh there we go okay good uh Michael says you and BC are my favorite MMA Duo what was it that that Working w/ BC. made you realize you want to work together prior to starting morning combat um pretty simple actually pretty simple May uh I'd always gotten along with him and then an opportunity presented itself with showtime and I needed a partner and I was like he already had remember BC already had a relationship with uh Showtime before I even got there and so I thought it just all made sense he's got the boxing knowledge you know I come from MMA but we were're trying to cross-pollinate the the direction he's lighthearted I'm a little bit more serious we're about the same age there's just a lot of ways it works and there we are Micah says UFC countdown had MMA Guru in a clip is this bad they have clips from lots of people they could pick who they want Jay says if Chandler didn't fight like an absolute okay uh does he have a good Chandler vs. Islam. chance against Islam I've made this point before there is an argument to be made that Chandler could have dialed back some of the recklessness and probably gotten a couple more wins along the way but I don't know if he'd reach the exact same Heights well granted he's been in this limbo so prior to the limo um I don't know if he would have reached those Heights but for the exciting style that he developed which came with a couple of losses probably that he shouldn't have had but had him anyway uh because he was so reckless why Fighters like Aaron blanchfield who have exceptional ground game would not go khabib way grind your Blanchfield. takedown and cardio and training just do not box until you can take people down by Will there no singles no high crotch no doubles no sweep singles no nothing it was a really I don't uh Luke glad you and BC are back DraftKings Network. together I hope dkn is taking care of you because the dkn viewing experience this person rights is awful one hour slot with 10 minutes of commercials pumped in no bueno again that is a simal cast that's not the long-term play we're happy to be we're happy to be on dkn and happy to service them and we're very excited about that but one more time youtube.com/ morning combat everything is moving there youtube.com which is where we've already been it's not a new channel what I'm saying is everything is moving into its old slot we're just got to get it moved it suck what you got I mean this is what this is what we've been dealing with you know what I mean like I there's nobody I can call that's waiting on paperwork for me that's not the situation there's nobody I can you know walk down the street and bang on the door and demand to see them that's not the way this works this is a process that has to take place piece by piece and it just takes time I wish it happened sooner but it's just not where we're at thoughts on Ronda blaming her Ronda's Recent Comments. mouthpiece and saying she was concussed going into the Holly home fight yeah that's a great question the mouthpiece thing was a little weird uh I don't that seemed like a lot of excuse making the fact that she might have had a lot of concussions to me seems like very reasonable I did an interview with her for MMA fighting before she blew up she still follows me on Twitter I don't think she checks Twitter and she never unfollowed me but back when she was not popular she followed me on Twitter and um I remember her talking about all the injuries she had from Judo and how like how rough Judo was on the body you know and the head is part of that too like there's no doubt in my mind she might have had serious concussion problems and also again one more time like oh a fighter thinks they're the best of all time I it's true that you can find fighters who are much more you know even healed about this kind of thing who don't necessarily think they're the best in the world but a lot of them still do a lot of them have a very inflated sense of what they've done and it just seems like that's partly a condition required to um succeed to be perfectly honest with you you James Krauss was a great coach and James Krause. sports Bing adviser being being him on MK bring him on MK for picks yes thank you very funny very amazing contribution thank you did Aaron and Manan feel like Holly and Ronda if they went all five rounds Erin/Manon. no uh Holly was much more devastating with counters will DraftKings have a college game day panel with you BC Ariel anic and Florian one day would love it would love it would be very very cool we we definitely can say this uh I mean I can't speak to that idea but I can say that we definitely want to do big events well you know how would you describe the difference in Striking between sha Ali and Cory sandigan who do you think would win I think that um om Ali is much more O'Malley/Sandhagen Striking. a guy who plays with he doesn't use a long guard nearly as much he plays from further out and does a lot of again Jagged timing to get in and then exit it's a lot of touch and go whereas Cory kind of Cory San Haagen he will go high hands at times but he often uses a long guard and then kind of just change ches up the looks and changes up the computation and changes up the pace through striking particularly through boxing kind of in front of you I have to look at the numbers um to see exactly how much that is well let's just see let's see very quickly [ __ ] me here we go Cory saying he you again um let's see fight metric and then let's look at Sean om Ali fight metc some of this is going to be skewed because because the way they've been fighting recently all right tempted uh 5.3 let's see yeah I I'd have to go through the numbers a little bit more because he had 230 strikes landed in his last fight that's not necessarily a ton he had 230 against Chris moutinho so he's had two fights that have kind of jacked uh numbers Jesus he landed the same amount in less than three rounds on Chris mutino moutinho that he landed in five rounds on Cheeto and he beat the [ __ ] out of Cheeto good Lord moutinho took a beating I'd have to look at the numbers a little bit more closely but I have a feeling that this partly a distance issue it's a sort of the the the they're a little bit more of a boxer type with um San Haagen and a little bit more of a kind of a Robert Whitaker kind of play Topuria/Paquete. when Toria refer to El Pete de Brian Orga he wasn't talking about his junk Pete is scrub yeah I had a million people write me after that I didn't know what it meant I didn't know how you well I knew what meant package I just didn't know like did they mean he was a package being delivered I didn't meant I didn't Auto oh not Brian Campbell I didn't automatically assume they were referring to as genitalia Fel say fiestas means happy holidays yeah I know I my Spanish is terrible but it's not like that terrible look I've been hearing all about these old men will look jacked and PEDs. rejuvenated after usada left usada left have you changed your peed stance after seeing how amazing Chris wman and viente Luke looked I mean I thought both of them deserved to lose so no not re no not really and I see people doing this [ __ ] too they're like oh look at Armen SAR Yuki Arman SAR yukin look jacked as [ __ ] before usada ever left so did Wen Buckley so like believe me do I think that the current testing is as strenuous as the last one was no I thought people were cheating on that one we know people were cheating on that one I suspect you'll probably get a little bit more with this current regime but like the you know the people who are turning in zuder films who have no real background nether do I but the people turning in zuder films with like no background in dietary Sciences or a real understanding of body composition these are not very convincing people Luke if Shaun Ali is able to get past morab and defend his belt one more time O'Malley/GOAT. after that maybe sandhagen would you consider him one to be the Bantam way goat probably probably yeah why didn't you say AO or pause my G after IG said in one of your latest interviews that pentoo likes to finish on the face or neck keep up the good work yeah because I'm not five that's why cuz I'm not five I mean I might suck in any number of other ways but I'm not 5 years old are you sick of the Apex cards like APEX Cards. I am I'm not sick of the quietness of the Apex I'm sick of what the Apex represent which is just overflow of people who are marginally for the most part there's obviously some exceptions main event for example but there's a lot of people that are barely hanging on to UFC careers who have utterly unmemorable stule f s no accomplishments they shouldn't even be on the roster but the UFC needs as many of these to either fulfill I don't know contract requirements any number of different other plausible explanations about why they have to keep doing it so they're they don't exist for any other reason other than to meet contractual demands they don't exist because hey we've got all these people and we really got to make effective use out of them and look at how look how well our product scales further back I mean the most interesting MMA is 15 and up everything after that again Phantom weight not necessarily featherweight not necessarily but certainly heavyweight light heavyweight middle weight you know you're dealing with the 25th best middleweight on Earth this is who the [ __ ] needs this you know who the [ __ ] needs this and there's just a lot of that but like the quietness I don't mind so much what's up man appreciate it welcome to the party besides Jo Joanna and Jones which fighter did you dirty oh dude there's been so many I've never [ __ ] aired Fighters Doing Luke Dirty. out I mean dude the number of of times that I have booked interviews with Fighters um like either with them directly this happened many times where I did directly or because I don't really go to managers very often I mean sometimes I do but it's not common um or in certain cases with their manager and I'll double check that day all right are you sure that this guy is ready on this day and then they just don't post and this happened Time After Time After Time After Time After Time cannot tell you Aunt used to work in UFC PR he tell you it's like trying to hurt cats I'm always amazed when I see a fighter on a YouTube channel interview another fighter I'm like do you know how hard that is to arrange to get to get two people who I mean these these two individual people might not be that way but based on my experience like more than 90% of these guys like you bring up time zones they're gonna they're going to mess that up you know just all constant constant issues uh I'm always amazed them when they can coordinate schedules and make it work that way so um the number of times that has happened would shock you I don't mean one time there's one guy who people love who did it to me five times in a row five times five [ __ ] times I was not very happy about that all right and there's Basher daud dud means David by the way so there you go all right boys and girls thank you so much for watching I greatly appreciate it this podcast will be up tonight I know the last one didn't get up this one will get up and uh buckle up CU next week and the week after that tons of content coming your way and and knock on wood I'm hopeful that we can get this uh MK situation resolved very quickly and get right back to YouTube in the way that we have been all right all right very good love you all thank you so much for watching much appreciated and until
