to go on fourth down it felt like you at least thought about it for a second and then then ran the punt team what what kind of went behind that yeah just I mean field position you know defensively punter I mean we got what we wanted we got him backed up we got three timeouts there Play Good pball get the ball back you know half court as we call it offense Midfield hopefully but um they broke off a long run and that was the end of it yeah two long runs um that the defense gave up uh you know the defense played good but you know two spots right there where where they didn't play necessarily great um that run game stopping the Run game you've talked about it didn't happen when it needed to happen yeah no I mean for the most part pretty solid but you know when the game was on the line and you know we got to fit up the Run correctly and guys got to get off blocks and you know second level Defenders got to fit up we did a poor job of that and you know hats off to them they stay consistent with their game um they didn't beat themselves coach specifically what you guys need to work on on the offense a lot I mean the Run game was poor um passing game was off and then turnovers it's just you can't do it you can't have three turnovers on the road and expect to win AP How concerned were you with the amount of checkdowns maybe rather than going after it a little bit did that concern you at all yeah Didn't I look with that before I answer seem like the camera that P to you you guys getting ready to pun seem like conversation with the headset was that something with the game management you talking about the same question I just got asked yeah I just saying like were you like considered maybe taking yeah no consider going for it is a long one I mean got stopped earlier in the game momentum punter had done a good job you know pining those guys back I think we had two or three point I think three puns inside the 20 um again you know defense was the strength for the most part of the game keep them back to with three timeouts seem like the offensive line had some struggles today you guys running the ball or protecting a passer did that that factor at all into you guys decisioning a lot of things factor into not going for it unfortunately you never know what you're going to get in week one so what did you learn do you think today that you didn't know we got to do a better job of composure starts with myself and the coaching staff I mean what happened at in the game is unexcusable it's not going to be tolerated um and at the end day you know we can't be selfish you got to play team football and we talked about it you one line scrimmage which we did do on either side of the ball and taking care of the football ton I guess a fight a brawl broke out there at the end in the fourth quarter what did you see happen what do you think happen I I just I just addressed it it's undisciplined goad I was going to say you you said selfish you have certain examples or are you talking about the end of the game end of the game just not worth it I mean they scored they kick their ass they scored there it go you guess Anton you've talked about there's a recipe for you guys to win there's a blueprint that you guys have to follow how disappointing is it that you know probably if if there were five boxes you had to check off you probably po checked off one of them and the not stopping the Run not being able to run the turnovers how disappointing is that for for you yeah it is I mean it's something we harped on we talked about literally for two weeks I thought for the most part in PR we did a decent job of that um but you know we look at we had two explosive runs got to hold them got another explosive run we f with the ball it seemed like why we got Midfield there was like this like something that was going on and just he pushes back and we couldn't figure it out and and that's you know going go with players and coaches all of us we got to obviously look at it and it's not good enough because there's plenty of opportunities for us to put points on the board thought we had it again you know you going to play the game going for it every fourth down no you got a All Pro punter there and you got a defense that's playing well for majority Gam you played football but you know the style of play the way it wasn't play our identity did not show up today even though you had a great crowd on your behalf here as usual uh what's the biggest challenge of starting the season out with the first two games on the road yeah just just hit on it you can't turn the ball over got you better in the Red Zone we weren't they were one we were one for three they were two for four uh and then running the game you know stopping and running being a to run the ball like um I thought we did a good job early in the game on third Downs with Herbert and those guys really good job early on defensively but again as a game goes on you know that's where it comes to just keep playing Team ball like don't knowbody think they need to make a play just do your job and I think that's something they will learn from I know you said you want to look at the film but what were your just just initial thoughts on Gardener's performance today I really have to look at it before I give a honest opinion Ty Wilson got hurt early in the first quarter and then he came back and left again before getting ruled out I guess did he reag gravate the injury or what happens I I know it's a leg injury I got to get what obviously our medical staff and see but you know we was already down one down another one so a little tough sled but next minut up mentality no excuse guys good thanks than you guys
