teacher talking Sports what it does what it do how we live and there weren't many exciting quarterback battles uh to be settled in the pre-season we saw the Raiders it was between Gardner mshu and aan oconnell two good but not Stellar quarterbacks for sure um the Patriots Drake may jacobe brassette we know may will eventually start uh qb1 hasn't been announced yet many people expecting it to be jacobe brassett and may eventually uh Vikings of course Sam darn no will start because JJ McCarthy's out for the year uh but the Broncos was supposed to be a three-man race according to Shan and Payton but honestly no one believed Zack Wilson really had a chance and many were expecting B knck over Jared stum I mean Nicks was drafted by Payton and his staff uh so Nicks was their guy um and unsurprisingly Bone Nicks has been named the starting quarterback for week one um Jared stum gave his thoughts on Nicks winning that quarterback one uh job for Denver and he doesn't seem too happy so uh be a pro football talk Jarrett stum I was very disappointing to lose very disappointed to lose Broncos quarterback job to Bo Nicks uh Michael David Smith uh so Thum said after Sunday night's preseason finale that he wants to help B knck get ready to start week one but he also firmly believes he should be starting first of all obviously I was very disappointed I know I'm a starting quarterback in the league I have zero doubts about that and just didn't shake out of my way but I know what I know what kind of player I am what kind of person I am like I said earlier I'll be ready to go if I need to be and like I said I have no doubts that I'm a starting caliber quarterback in this league also said um I think they know what I can do I think I displayed that last year whenever I was asked to come in and play last two games throughout practice throughout training camp OTAs is the whole thing but at the end of the day I'm going to go out there and do what I do I'm very confident in what I can do and do whatever I can to help this team so I mean he he's not sounding you know B completely like spiteful towards the team and their decision to go bone Knicks uh but he believes he's a starting quarterback in the NFL uh was a fourth round pick of the Patriots in 2019 as we see really didn't get much playing time with New England uh didn't make any starts for them uh 2022 with the Raiders they benched Derek Carr later in the year got his two starts and likewise last year with the Broncos they benched Russell Wilson late in the year and got two starts for him you see his career numbers uh less than 60% completion 88 touchdown interceptions um the qbr again not a lot of playing time he was good his year with the Raiders not very good his year with the Broncos I mean he was sacked a lot less than Russell Wilson was although I mean seven sacks two stars um nothing great um but again not much playing time reps in the regular season for stum uh four starts one and three record what are your thoughts do you think Jared stum is a starting quarterback in the NFL I mean a guy like Zack Wilson when he was ass he pretty much seemed like he knew from the get-go that um Nicks was going to win the job basically it's unsurprising um but yes did him I mean you can't be upset that he's a competitor uh but you think about his thing think about what he said how he's a starting caliber quarterback and you just wonder how many other situations would he have really gotten a chance I mean I'm a Giants fan they they were going to start Daniel Jones over and because of his salary is he better than Daniel Jones I it's hard to tell um but what other situations I mean I Gardner minchu nearly led the Colts to the playoffs last season now uh the Raiders number one uh just not many other situations where you could see him having a chance I mean some might argue he's better than Bryce young but young was taken first overall there would be no way that he would start over uh Bryce young if he were on Carolina but anyhow don't forget to subscribe telr telr Tel subscribe like the video share the video hit the bell for notifications I'm out
