now time for the seven things you'll be talking about today number seven a high school football game in Elmore County was postponed late in the third quarter after law enforcement discovered a threat of violence on social media they actually stopped the game uh the game was tied at the time uh 144 and they said well they're not sure if they're going to be able to finish this game after I don't know what's going on here I mean yes there was a giant brawl to McDonald's I worked at after a a football game one time and it was a mess people were jumping through the windows and things like this but I guess in this case they're suggesting that people are going to be shooting each other and killing each other because there was a threat to players and Spectators um they don't know if the game will be resumed and I'm going to tell you this right now if you got to do this to a football team maybe they shouldn't be allowed to play games I'll just throw it out that way there was a game in Utah canceled for the same reason this weekend number six uh former president Donald Trump has clarified that he will vote against a Florida ballot measure that would repeal the state's six week abortion uh ban which by the way is the right decision but it's the decision he should have came to first I do agree with him that the six we abortion ban is too short but the way they want to fix this is not the right way but uh initially suggesting that he might support it his stance has received backlash from both sides that's what happens when you flip-flop highlighting historically inconsistent positions on abortion and you know if if if they were smart theyd probably also PL the fact that Kamala Harris is going through this whole thing my values haven't changed thing and Donald Trump's here flip-flopping as well might be worth pointing out if you were on the left uh Trump expressed correctly that 6 weeks is too short that is exactly correct he opposes late term abortions which it's his decision to vote no here he's landed on the right decision number five uh Israel's primee Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is being slammed by a conglomeration of Israeli protesters anti-semitic protesters the media and their democrats for quote not doing enough end quote to free hamas's hostages and end the war however makes no sense Israel has publicly agreed with multiple American proposals while habas has refused and then they recently murdered six more hostages and dumped their bodies in Terrorist tunnels before a rescue mission could save them well acting uh president cuz that's all he is Joe Biden complains while lounging on a beach chair on a Delaware Beach that Netanyahu isn't doing up it's nonsense none of this makes any sense it is a a silly argument being made by Joe Biden and uh he should be mocked for it Democrats are terrible on this terrible number four speaking of terrible tab bowling my God how does one man suck so hard decator protesters are still uh ongoing or excuse me dicator protest are still ongoing because T Bing sucks yeah and they want him gone and he has shown so much weakness that they I guess they figure if they keep going they'll eventually get him uh he has offered them a deal he's offered to resign if demonstrations over the police shooting of Steve Perkins stops now during meetings with perkins's Widow and activist groups bowling proposed stepping down in exchange for an end to the protest and public comments against him which is so lame what a loser yet another sign of weakness from the city leadership further emboldening these things this protests I guess are still ongoing and bowling continues to act like the city did something wrong here when it isn't even remotely the case it's embarrassing how pathetic step down for that number three uh mobile uh County Sheriff Paul bur wants to reate Concealed Carry Permits for people who will never get them yep yep that's basically it uh Birch is proposing requiring those under 21 to obtain a permit for carrying a concealed weapon aiming to reduce gun and Gang Related violence you know I was going to go do this driveby but I couldn't get my permit Shucks I guess I just won't do it is apparently what the sheriff thinks is going through the minds of gang bangers uh he believes the measure would give law enforcement the authority to seize firearms from Young offenders before they are used in crimes Birch plans to gauge interest along among lawmakers though it's uncertain how proposal will be received especially given Alabama's existing permitless carry law is it really uncertain how this will be receivable here let me help you out how about no no no number two uh Library issues are still not over apparently this is an everyday every week thing which goes to show you how much this is still an issue uh and the debate needs to continue apparently into the next legislative session despite recent rule changes in Alabama libraries to regulate sexually explicit materials many lawmakers are planning further Library reforms in the 2025 legislative session you know Trump should be talking about this he should literally bring this up over and over and over again uh that Democrats and the media for some reason insist on having all this sexually explicit material available to to you know second graders uh this follows a yearslong controversy over sexually explicit lgbtq themed books and children's sections with proposed bills including allowing local library board members to be move more easily and repealing exemptions ready for this that public and school libraries have from obscenity laws I mean if you give a kid some porn and you're a librarian you're good do we really need that law does that law really need to exist now time for the number one thing you'll be talking about today uh because we obsess over National politics it should be no surprise uh that Nate Silver's decision to change his prognostication again which will probably happen one more time this week and a thousand more times before the election but pulling Guru Nate silver has changed his mind and if you're analyzing a race as things change your mind should change that's how it works if you're rooting for a team then you say yay this person's going to win if you're analyzing a race it matters what's happening uh Silver's latest forecast suggest that Donald Trump the former president is surging ahead of his opponent now let's let's use the word surge you know Loosely here in his analysis although Harris leads Trump by 3.8 points in National polls Silver's model gives Trump a 52.4% chance of winning at the Electoral College despite other polls showing Harris leading so as I told you 3.8 points in National polls Silver's prediction differs from other Serv due to his analysis of recent Trends voter sentiment potential debate performances which I assume Harris is taking a big hit you know cuz she sucks and note that Trump has gained momentum so there's a lot of things happening here in Nate Silver's mind that opened this up to a maybe a little bit more of a prot trump ending to all of this I don't know if this is true I I don't know if this is true I I I look at this and I and I just wondered to myself is Trump really having a momentum thing and then I went back and looked and this was interesting I went and looked at some of the momentum of some of the recent polls now keep in mind you know Kamal Harris was having sort of a a a Renaissance here okay so she was seeing a little bit but over the last week or so you have a little bit of a change here and Donald Trump has gained on Harrison the last week does that momentum continue I don't know I don't know but we'll stay on top of this we'll talk about I find Nate silver to be a very interesting character a lot of people don't like hearing what this guy has to say I think that's a mistake I think he offers up some interesting analysis and I'm going to continue talking about
