hey everyone welcome back to the channel today we are diving into the significant development in the world of Aviation and labor rights United Airlines flight attendants are making headlines with a recent picket at EST brickroom International Airport and we are here to break down what's happening let's get into the details on Wednesday morning United Airlines flight attendance gathered at a airport demanding better pay flexible schedules and job security this picket is a crucial step as the flight attendance across the Nation have recently voted to authorize a strike this is the first time since 2005 that flight attendants at a major airline have voted to authorize a strike according to a release from the association of flight attendants the demonstration was held in anticipation of the results of Nationwide strike authorization vot but in the sense United airines flight attendance already it's pass time we are ready to have the contract as we need a race we can't wait any longer we are unified and ready for this contract to be done the call from a strike comes as a part of a broader labor movement within the aviation industry we have seen similar strike authorization votes at the other major airlines like Southwest American and Alaska which have helped to push negotiation forward the crew operator said we continue to work toward an industry leading agreement for our flight attendance including negotiations this week and every month through November both sides have been actively engaged in the negotiation facilitated by the federal mediator requested by an Union we remain eager to reach an agreement to clarify there is no immediate work stoppage or labor disruption the flight attendance are conducting an informational picket while of Duty federal law prohibits a strike until a lengthy process is completed including mediation which can only be released by the national mediation board so while no strike is currently underway this picket signifies is the flight attendance serious commitment to their cause and their radiation to take further action if needed so what are your thoughts on the situation do you think the flight attendance will get the changes they are asking for let us know in the comments below and if you found this update useful don't forget to like subscribe and hit the Bell icon for more news and updates thanks for watching and we will see you in the next video
