Philadelphia Eagles player Dallas Goedert and Cam Jurgens Q&A session before the big game in Brazil

you guys all supp us through it so weird question uh take it the right way please Eagles fans I know when we got saquan everybody talks about saquon's legs and like did you guys are they are they big unusually big yes question are they really that big I mean saquan is a specimen I mean he's got he's got good size legs but uh you know anytime he gets in the huddle with the o line that we have especially Jordan Milada he can make anybody look small uh but with the rest of the running backs you know his legs are pretty beefy and uh you know they're they're going to be moving the pile and getting us extra yards so I'm all for it now C is making the move from Right Guard to Center that's his natural a l e f e sir yes sir we saw it in the preseason a couple years ago how how great it went um easy transition for you to go back to Center yeah I I mean I try to look at myself as a football player and they want me to play guard I'm going to play guard want to play center um you know I'm going to do it so I feel comfortable going back there at Center and you know I just try to be a good athlete and go out there and be a football player and and make plays and so I'm excited to go back there to Center and communicate and you know it's just fun you know when you get everybody together moving the same page same direction uh that's where things happen how about the the the cerebral part of it the brain part of it you're that you're in charge of the blocking calls you're in charge of the offensive line what does that require yeah I mean it requires a lot and I feel like I got drafted to the Eagles two-play Center and so I came in learning everything learning the calls being able to run the offense and when I got thrown in there at guard it's it's not like I'm not going through all the calls and I was still thinking like I'm a center and making sure I'm going through the reads and doing everything I can so when I'm going from guard to center it's easy cuz Kel how do you think that helped you and your future endeavors yeah tremendously I think Kelsey set good example and how he carries himself on the field and off the field and just how he handles media and how he handles their attention cuz you know everybody in this state they all know who Jason Kelce is you can probably tell who Jason Kelce is for the who the governor is I it's it's a big spot to fill uh but at the end of the day you know I'm going to go out there and just be myself you know I'm not trying to fill anybody's shoes I'm trying to fill my own and create my own legacy W I feel like you know the the room the o line room with the Eagles has been so great for so long because guys go in there and they live for the culture yeah Stout you know Stout University it's incredible because you go in there and it's full metal jacket every day and you're going to bust your ass and you're going to work so hard and I'm going to go out there on the field and play as hard as I can leave it out there besides the link what is your favorite Stadium to travel toplay Stadium favorite Stadium to play in other than like Financial Field I'm this one [Music] to um my favorite Stadium besides the link uh you know I like going down to Dallas at& St you know I love the Rivalry we have with them it's always uh it's always a competitive game um you know even when they come here it's great but going down there uh you get a play on Turf you feel really fast and uh thankfully in my career I've had a lot of good games down there uh we just need to continue to get wins down there is what we need to do so that's a sweet Stadium they have it uh you know Jerry has it decked out so it's fun to go down there it's it's a cool atmosphere to play in and uh you know as always Dallas sucks now what is the best advice that uh to uh yeah I I think day one he just told me to be myself um you know I'm a good football player and believe in yourself and do everything you can to get better each and every day um and that's that's just what I'm doing I think that's the best thing you can do don't try to be somebody else uh cuz you're going to now who was your favorite player growing up um when I started really getting into football uh when I figured out my position my favorite uh Tight End of Watch was always rob gronowski you know I think he played the tight end position the right way uh you know he was an animal on the field he he liked to punish defenders in the Run game and when he got the ball in his hands he was a he was a menace uh so watching him in his short NFL career you know he he did everything he could do at the position so uh growing up watching him it was it was who I wanted to be uh what what's different I'll get to the question what's different about Kell's offense that the fans will recognize starting Friday I'd say the biggest difference uh would be a lot of pre-a motion uh we didn't do a whole lot of that last year and this year it seems like pretty much every play we have someone zipping across the field or motion just so um one the quarterback can get a tell of if they're bumping if they're running if they're in man if they're in zone but uh it definitely also helps out me as a tight end in the o line uh knowing where the Defenders are going to go after the play starts okay question who is your favorite player to play [Music] with yeah cam will have a different answer than me cuz uh you know he's in the middle of a bunch of people um obviously I love playing with Jaylen uh you know he's my quarterback he can do so many special things uh when the ball snapped you know whether he's running whether he's passing whether uh you know he's giving the ball to the running back and bursting uh he's a player that uh kind of gives the defense a disadvantage it seems like with him on the field we have one extra player always because he can do so many different things yeah zck you know he's up there I got my guy Jack stole back yeah another mullet in town another mullet baby he's got a rock and he's looking good so those would be my two probably Jaylen and Jack soul I grew up as a Green Bay Packer fan where you from IW up North Dakota South Dakota sou Dakota you know I I got the benefit I didn't have any uh teams in the state so I could pick whatever and uh I got the Packers early on but now it's Eagles and Eagles only H are you so I grew up in Nebraska and there is no pro teams anywhere close so I was Die Hard Nebraska fan and I just followed speaking of like favorite players growing up Sue was my favorite player cuz he was such a beast for Nebraska and so I followed him watched him at the Lions and throughout his career and I mean that was a dream true my first year getting uh not only go to Super Bowl and play for the Eagles but I got to play along with like my role model and Idol growing up and Su so so wait did you Fanboy out on in domu like when you first walked in the locker room did you go to and say hey man you were my favorite player oh I was so nervous I think uh I think I didn't really get to meet him until he first got there and it was a it was a walk through right before the game and these guy it was him and lmol Joseph they just got there and they just trying to get activated they haven't been playing and so they're taking this walk through serious like it's a practice and like LMO went hit me pretty good I'm like whoa this isn't a walkthrough Tempo and then sue came in I ended up snatching him hit him pretty good and he's like hey don't hit me again like that so that was my first introduction so and then beyond that it it was great you know I it was so fun get to pick his brain okay I have a question that a lot of Eagles fans want to know let go so what are you going to do differently this year than you did last year make sure last year doesn't happen again yes sir we're going to win period yeah uh the biggest difference you know we got a new offensive coordinator um different tools that he's given us to um handle some things the defense is going to throw uh you know we never really play against the same defense you watch a team the week before and how the defense played and seems like uh every time we play someone they have different wrinkles different things to try to stop us but um with Kell being here I think we've made a big jump in our Blitz zero which we struggled with at the end of the year you guys know a lot about the Packers right now so for fans who don't really know the Cadence of the game we're still you know nine days away from the game have you started watching gree Packers from last year or from preseason yeah we just I just got the list of uh games to watch obviously the preseason games are good they got their defensive coordinator from Boston col Boston Boston College uh so they said maybe if we want we can go watch some Boston College games clips um but yeah we're starting now to uh nine days away getting into it started game planning a little bit this morning earlier and we'll continue to do that through the next week cool question what rookie are you most excited to play or play again what rookie yeah that's a good one um I'm excited to play with uh Q Mitchell um our defensive back that we got I'm really excited to see him uh just grow over the year I think he's going to be a really good player and I'm excited to see how much he can improve each and every week and then uh just being a football fan I'm I'm excited to see what Caleb Williams can do I know I'll never face off against him or you know I'm on the same side of the ball as well but uh you know anybody that has that much hyper on him it's going to be cool to see what he does hey baby all right so both of you guys what is either the most memorable or like craziest fan moment from both you know from both of your careers either at the link wherever I know we travel well too so you know whatever it is yeah there's there's a lot of good fan moments for me uh it was right after I got drafted here um it was the I got drafted the year they won the Super Bowl so I missed out on that but I remember in Philadelphia I got a uber and the Uber driver recognized me and started telling me a story about how his dad said he's finally able to die now that the Eagles won the super bow it's true uh I think mine I was at an event at the link and there was a bunch of fans there and we're we're signing a bunch of things and this lady came up and and said hey can you sign my leg and then took off her entire prosthetic leg that was pretty W that was a good how you do guys I'm [Applause] train I just want to know the coach how is he through the process of these guys you know this season like how is he is upat is he like aggressive is Nick serani aggressive I mean like he's the definition of aggressive right guy yeah definitely definitely upbeat and aggressive but the cool thing about him is he's always like that you know and that's something I appreciate of a coach you know when you go to him he's going to be the same guy every single time every meeting he doesn't change and I I hate it when it's the other side you know when somebody's aggressive and then they're not and then they're coaching and they're not it's like just be the same person every day and I think that's what he does I we have to two more questions from the fans unless we have three there if you're waiting back in line here you go yeah hello my name is Mark I got a question for you Dallas because you grew up a Green Bay Packers Fan does that make you spping on them when you play them in brail absolutely uh you know I think in my time of playing the Packers uh we haven't lost and that doesn't expect a change but uh it's always cool and surreal for me to go out there uh I remember my rookie year maybe my second year I got to play in Lambo uh it's where I had my first regular season game or where I went to my first NFL game uh but yeah anytime I play them I want to whoop them as much as we can you know I got I got no love for them anymore two touchdowns on let's go yes sir question you go buck County Pennsylvania um this is kind of a stupid one some people aren't going to get this but this one's going to go to quick I have also but C being Nebraska I have to know I work for a company in Nebraska who has the best I water Nebraska my uh my family has a ginormous sweet corn patch that they grow every year and then they put it in a trailer and there's a little money drop box for people to just drive by grab it on themselves and put whatever they want in there so they say it's the best so I I think it's the best uh and then actually either one of you guys could answer this so we're Philadelphia for hardcore I I grew up buddy Ryan Jim Johnson you know very physical coaches uh it was talked a lot last year your training camp is not as physical a little lack of daic pool with the players and that this year we've been hearing reports that it has been a lot more physical how have you been adjusted as players to the physicality of the training camp and what steps have you guys taken to prepare yourself for season yeah that's a great question um yeah you know it it's all based on there's a lot of different factors that go into it um last year we had a lot of older veterans that uh they thought they should take care of um obviously you know we started off the season still pretty well I don't think we played our best football but we were still getting wins and I think having a physical um training camp as long as you can keep your players healthy which we did a good job of that this year um it just gets you more ready for the season ready for um different things that can come at you and I think it's been really good for both sides of the ball you know the defense has been giving us a lot of different looks with the new defensive coordinator uh throwing a lot of stuff at us that we get to see more because we're practicing more practicing harder and we just have more opportunities to go over those books um but I think the most important part of uh being a successful team throughout the year is being healthy and I think they've done a good job this year of balancing the hard work and making sure where we're covered so we can go out there and do our job at a high level I all right so those are really great question but I I got to tell you I'm really disappointed I got I'm very disappointed wow how many of you played fantasy football all of you do right so what question are we all dying to ask cam Jurgens and Dall scut first and goal on the one yard line more who is getting the football are the Eagles going to run the brotherly shove hand it off to saquan Barkley guys last question I
