MLB Power Rankings: Have the Baltimore Orioles taken over the No. 1 spot?

Intro new week new Power Rankings they come out on Mondays you can find them on my social media uh you can find them on the MLB on Fox social media but Power Rankings come out every single Monday this show is coming out on Tuesday so let's talk about little bit of movement this week not a ton of movement a lot of mediocre baseball being played out there by the best teams in baseball but let's talk about it let's start at number 10 Padres with the San Diego Padres who went six and four in the last 10 games they are down one spot from where they were last week where they were at number nine uh but six and four in their last 10 right on the they're teetering right on the edge they have a playoff spot they're in they're in good shape but just gota you got to get some improvement from Dylan CE who is a big addition for them and you got to get healthy you got to get some arms back you got to get tatis back you got to get man they just you got to get rolling but they're fine they're here at number 10 at number nine not ranked last week the Boston Red Sox just Red Sox talked all about them they deserve so much credit for where they are right now they're 49 and 40 entering this new week had to they were in the top 10 and bumped them out for I think it maybe one week maybe two uh the Astros crept in here but the Red Sox are back in taking that spot but now up at number nine at number eight the Atlanta Braves Braves uh not a lot this is where things get really mediocre for the rest of teams five and five in their last 10 games just treading water not a lot to talk about here the Braves staying put at number eight at number seven the New York Yankees down two spots worst record Yankees in baseball in their last 20 games three and 10 since John Carlos Stanton went down five and 15 in their last 20 games Luis heel has lost four straight starts that's been a real tough watch lately great start to the year really bad last month or so Anthony being out the the injuries are a problem but so is the offensive output they're getting from everybody in the lineup not named Juan stto and Aaron judge honestly Juan sto even over the last you know 15 games or so has has been in a rough patch but overall a good season Anthony vulpi pretty good good season as well but man four through nine in that lineup right now is just not competitive so they've gone from the number one spot to the number two spot to the number five spot to now the number seven spot in the span of three four weeks it's been brutal for the New York Yankees their lows are too low they can be really good but when they're bad they are really really bad and it's getting it's getting bad quickly for the New York Yankees they're down here at number seven at number six the team in the top 10 probably playing the best baseball right now uh the Twins Minnesota Twins seven and three in their last 10 they're up one spot they got fantastic production coming from places in the lineup that you didn't really expect it Willie Castro I not only would I say could have been an All-Star dare I say should have been an allar Joe Ryan should have been an allar they had Carlos kareah really good year at shortstop this year a lot of production from places that you didn't exactly expect it and they're here I did have them winning the AL Central it's going to be a dog fight now with the the Cleveland Guardians cuz man have they been really really good they got a lot ground to catch up but they're they're doing a good job of the twins have been really good they're here at number six up one spot also up one spot and entering the top five the Milwaukee Brewers five and five in their last 10 Brewers games again not a lot to to write home about here not a ton to talk about just up one spot because the Twins and Brewers bumped ahead of the Yankees this is something that always whenever we put out the power rankings and you see the green and plus one or the red and minus whatever this is one talking that's always huge how how is this team up a spot they went five and five and lost to so and so no they are up one spot because the Yankees went down two naturally somebody's got to go up if somebody's going down that's the way the cookie crumbles let's keep rolling number four the Los Angeles Dodgers also five and five in their last 10 games Dodgers losing that series to the Arizona Diamondbacks Christian Walker owns Dodgers Stadium dare I say Dodger Stadium is now Christian Walker Stadium we'll think of a catch your name just thought of it here in the moment I like coming up with names uh that one was just the first that came to mind it's really original don't know how I thought about it but Christian Walker stadium is right down the street here in Chavez Ravine and the dude absolutely Raks there hit a couple home I went to the Fourth of July game went to Fourth of July at Dodgers Stadium Christian Walker hitting a couple homers winning the game for the Dodgers dude raes there dude's the biggest snub of the 20 24 All-Star game should absolutely be an All-Star it's criminal that he's not an allar what was I talking about the Dodgers number four mediocre baseball staying Guardians put number three Cleveland Guardians again five and five in their last 10 games they've been fantastic best team in the AL Central this year um best team in in the American League really with the Yankees struggling at as they are are now well not not the best but best team in the AL Central for sure very very very good year did not see this coming again we'll admit was wrong about the Guardians what a fun year shout out Josh Naylor firsttime Allstar uh Steven Quan out there hitting 360 so good year for them and number two down one spot from the number one spot the Phillies Philadelphia Phillies five and five in their last 10 shocker uh but I really like this team they're really good another snub on their team Christopher Sanchez been really good good in that rotation um but I love I love what they're doing I love everything about the Philadelphia Phillies again they're my World Series champion this year and they've been playing like it for the majority of the year but just down one spot because the number one team and finally a team in the top 10 playing really good baseball right now the Baltimore Orioles seven and three in Orioles their last 10 games which is good enough to get to that number one spot a couple snubs on their team by the way Jordan Westberg uh in the infield Anthony santand in the Outfield snub prig Kimbrell snub few on the Orioles but a lot of Allstars gunar Henderson there is short adley behind the plate just I just love this team the lineup they're really really really good and they rounded out this week's top 10 major league baseball power ranking so that goes Padres at 10 Top 10 Red Sox at nine Atlanta Braves New York Yankees Minnesota Twins at number five Milwaukee Brewers Los Angeles Dodgers Cleveland Guardians Philadelphia Phillies at two and the Baltimore Orioles are my number one team in this week's power rankings
