The Fortnite Locker is Changing... Again..

what's going on Champs and champet it's SPID monkey here and in today's YouTube video I want to talk about the fornite locker UI this has been something that people have complained about for ages at this point and it sounds like the complaints are never going to go away right and I mean you know it makes sense they've done a lot of weird UI changes over the past year or so changing it so we have like a million different tabs right and my biggest complaint about the current Locker UI is basically the fact that whenever you want to go ahead and change a wrap to make it match your current skin set or whatever else you have to go to a whole another new tab and everything else which causes me to not even focus on it like you know it makes sense that I have kind of like a white WAP going on while I'm using The Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington skin but at the same time I didn't choose this rap when I was making this combo right it was just the one I actually had equipped pre- selectively because of the fact that you know it was just right there available for me already and it made it a little bit easier however they are kind of changing the locker UI once again and they're planning to call it the locker load out so in today's YouTube video I'll be showcasing a leak by unre hybrid over on Twitter who actually showcased what these changes are actually going to look like in this early stage and what we could kind of expect from a brand new loer UI revamp fee 5000 at this point that might make this system a little bit better so let me go ahead and just start playing this video on screen right now I do realize that I accidentally had some audio included in it so I will quickly turn that off for you guys but the important thing to mention here is that they're kind of changing the locker UI so instead of having each category right there where it's like hey here's your skins or whatever else and then the presets are right below it it is a scroll list where you're able to scroll up and down through all the different tabs easily to see all the different things they have available right now one of the things that is actually lacking from this nice little scroll feature is presets what I think they're going to be doing is revamping the preset system in the near future now the reason why this is unfinished you know obviously doesn't have presets or anything else like that is because this is an early build we weren't supposed to be able to see as of right now but I think their whole entire plan and mindset with this is that we're going to get rid of having presets for your instruments presets for your cars presets for your wraps your lobbies your skin whatever else and instead we're going back to more of an older system where first off you go into this actual category and you can scroll up and down through characters emotes everything else and then you're able to either set a preset for a specific slot and switch between that slots presets or you could go ahead and make it so your whole entire Locker Loadout has a preset as well in the future where you can select between different loadouts now I definitely think it's going to be a little bit odd seeing if they do a whole Locker load out system because it does bring up a different issue of wondering hey you know what if I only want to change my skin and wrap and Lobby thing whatever whenever I change a different preset or a locker load out but I don't want to go ahead and change my vehicles or whatever else technically you could have the same vehicle on every single preset but I feel that brings up the old issue where people would have these going on and they would just be sitting there and being like man I look at some of these old presets I haven't touched in a while and my emotes are super outdated on it compared to what I use now but of course this is obviously an early glimpse so things are set to change before it actually goes alive and before we actually see it in game so I thought I would show it to you guys and get your opinions on it down below I think that is a super nice benefit that you're able to scroll up and down through all the different categories however I just hope that if they do implement this version of it they at least make it so when it comes to actually equipping different presets and you know saving things in certain ways you don't have to save your entire Locker Loadout and instead you can save certain categories right like if I could just choose to save my emot or not even emotes but my characters and my ws and kind of like the lobby background or whatever else as well and I could just save those three different categories together in one I would be a happy camper right you know I would be so happy just be able to save certain Selections in a group instead of being in the situation where it's like oh you know you can save your skins and then you can save your emotes and then you can save your wraps and then you can save your cars it just feels like this Locker UI is trying to solve some of those common complaints and Problems by also making it easier to navigate G because having a scroll bar up and down is way better in my opinion than having to go over to the side menu then click the category you want and then you realize for example when you click like a car or something you have to click another thing because you actually have the drop down menu between SUVs and trucks and normal you know vehicles and all that type of stuff so I think that they're doing a good thing and I think they might be cooking here I know it's early and I know that it's unfinished and we don't even have presets on it or anything as of yet but I have Hope and Faith in epic games to continue cooking with this Locker load out menu or whatever else in order to make something that is a lot better than the current system we have in place and it's way for them to fix an issue that they kind of created themselves in the past when it came to creating the locker load out in the first place but of course I wanted to share this video from unreal hybrid to get your guys' opinions on it as well and to figure out if this is something that you guys are excited for and you think based on the footage we've seen is going to be a good thing or not or if you think it's just going to be another dumpster fire we're going to end up complaining about it for another 5 months 9 months whatever ever else until they end up making another change on top of it that just either makes it better or worse but regardless of whatever changes they do let's be honest here everyone's going to complain anyways so there's no real winning the only way they can really win when it comes to these Locker UI and stuff is to make the best of what they can and continue improving it over time so that even though some people might complain here and there and might want the old Locker UI back they could still have something that the general public you know general population of people who play fortnite end up actually enjoying but until next time hobby Champs and Champs and enjoy today's short little recap video where we talked about something that is still a work in progress which is a new Locker update UI I don't think it's a bad thing I'm actually very hopeful for it I think it has a lot of nice changes in it I just have to figure out how they end up implementing it further with some of the features that are currently missing from this early in development build but considering the fact that when we've had early in development builds added to the files before relating to the locker they got released within like two to three updates later I feel like this is something we could be seeing
