you want to see the current definition of a bad bad football program we take you out to poo outto California Troy Taylor you inherited an awful football program from David Shaw and uh at least you matched David Shaw's final two seasons at three and N now we've got a 9 and 27 record over the last three years welcome to the voice of college football breaking down the game we all love each and every day with with you best discussion debate and Analysis ACC schedules released in the last week let's run them down we're going through all 17 we start on the west coast with Stanford Stanford in the ACC get used to it I'm having a hard time with it the Cardinal season begins on a Friday night August 30th against TCU 5- seven last year of course after a National Championship Game appearance the previous season these two hooked up in one of the most entertaining bowl games in recent times 2017 alamoo bile TCU came all the way back to defeat Stanford 3937 and the Cardinal have never defeated the TCU horn frogs in three lifetime meetings we've got calp the Mustangs next on the schedule as the Cardinal should be able to pick up a win in game number two then a byee then we've got the historic first ever ACC game for Stanford at Syracuse Q coming off a 6 and S campaign but with a different head coach Fran Brown coming in from Georgia then it's a dated Clemson Tigers coming off a 9 and4 season but just 4-4 in the ACC Stanford and Clemson faced each other in the 1986 Gator Bowl the only meeting between the two schools in history Virginia Tech at 7- six nice bounceback season in Brent prize second year Stanford with Guess Who at head coach Jim Harbaugh and Andrew Luckett quarterback defeated Virginia Tech in the 2012 Orange Bowl 40-2 the only time these two schools have ever met this time it's going to be Chiron drones at quarterback for Virginia Tech then the Cardinal takes on Notre Dame on the road that traditional rivalry still intact Irish coming off a 10 and3 season they only lead the all-time Series so for Stanford 22 to4 they did drub the Cardinal last season 5623 Riley Leonard at quarterback for the Irish coming in from duke then it's a new brand new ACC matchup SMU and Stanford on the west coast SMU coming off the American Conference Championship and Stanford won the only meeting between the two schools in 1936 wake is the next game at 4 and8 these two teams met in 2009 and 2010 and split those two meetings then Stanford goes in NC State to take on one of the best teams in the ACC coming back Dave doran's crew went 9 and4 after a bowl loss Stanford and NC State have never played after a bye we we've got the Louisville game as Stanford may be facing its two most difficult opponents but with the by we in between Cardinals a 10 and four of course coming off an ACC Championship Game appearance and Jeff Broms first season got a new quarterback in Play Tyler shook formerly of Oregon and Texas Tech Stanford goes to Cal in the big game one of the great rivalries in college football the second to last week of the season and then nothing says rivalry week especially in the ACC like Stanford at San Jose State seven and six new head coach is Brent Brennan left for Arizona Ken NE matalo from Navy takes over the Spartans Stanford and San J State have a long running series Cardinal dominating this one 5214 with one tie they last met in 2013 so with 17 teams in the ACC and an eight game conference schedule guess what you miss half the conference you don't play eight of the 17 teams in the conference because of course take away yourself that takes the conference down to 16 other teams you play eight so you miss half the conference this is getting ridiculous and this is the first example right here St for will not play Florida State of Miami also will not face North Carolina good break for them the other Miss teams in the ACC are probably mostly losses just because Stanford could be again that bad Boston College Duke Virginia pit and Georgia Tech will not be on Stanford's first ACC schedule the goal for this program has to be to win four of the eight ACC games most likely we're looking at two wins in the ACC Stanford probably Los is to TCU in Notre Dame to finish it 4 and8 that's the early early forecast right here at the voice of college football leave us your comments and questions down below and your assessment of the Stanford Cardinal and the odd fit in the ACC next up we will stay on the west coast with Cal right here at the voice of college football
