>>> ABOUT 10:14, STILL A HEAVY THUNDERSTORM MOVING THROUGH DOWNTOWN. THE SEVERE WEATHER EXPECTED BUT THIS IS A STRONG STORM, WINDS AT 40, JUST ON OUTFLOW PIECES OF IT ON THE SOUTH AND WEST. SO AS SOON AS IT STARTS TO MOVE AND PICK UP MORE ACTIVITY, WHAT HAPPENS IS THE DOWNDRAFT CREATES DOWNDRAFT AIR. STILL SOME LIGHTNING, MAINLY IN THE NORTHERN PARTS OF THE CELL. DECENT RAINFALL FALLING THROUGH CENTRAL DALLAS COUNTY. CONTINUING JUST A LITTLE BIT SOUTH AND WEST NOW , EVENTUALLY HEADING DOWN TOWARDS DAVIS STREET, MAIN STREET, THERE'S I-30, THIS WILL MOVE SOUTH AND WEST, SO DECENT THUNDERSTORM CONTINUES NOW ON HIGH-RESOLUTION RADAR AND WE WILL COME BACK IF WE NEED TO. LET'S SHOW YOU WHAT'S GOING ON OUTSIDE. LOOK AT THAT FROM OUR VIEW FROM RIGHT DOWNTOWN. RAINFALL IS STILL THERE BUT THE HEAVIEST OF ACTIVITY HAS PASSED SOUTH AND WEST. SO THE RAIN WILL COOL YOU DOWN PRETTY QUICKLY. TOMORROW, WE WILL CONTINUE THE ALERT, DISRUPTIVE SHOWERS AND STORMS, MORE WIDESPREAD THAN TODAY. THE METROPLEX DIDN'T SEE ACTIVITY START UNTIL AFTER 5:00 OR 6:00. SEVERE WEATHER NOT EXPECTED ALTHOUGH 122 STORMS COULD BE STRONG. WE WILL HAVE TO WATCH FOR WINDS, LIGHTNING AND BRIEF HEAVY RAIN AND PLEASE BE WEATHER AWARE IF YOU HAVE OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES PLANNED. HERE'S A BROADER VIEW, DALLAS AND SOUTHWEST OF DALLAS, DOWN TO 35 E. SPLIT AND FURTHER TO THE WEST, STORMS NEAR FORT WORTH, FOREST HILL, ABOUT TO SEE STORMS MOVE OVER FORT WORTH AS WELL, NOT AS MUCH LIGHTNING IN THIS ACTIVITY, THAT HAS WOUND DOWN BUT THOSE ARE MOVING SOUTH AND WEST. BEEN BREATH, A SHOWER SOUTH OF YOU AS WELL SO DON'T BE SURPRISED IF YOU STILL HEAR THUNDER FOR THE NEXT HOUR OR SO AS THESE CONTINUE. NOTICE THE FLOW PATTERN, THE STALLED FRONT HAS BACKED OFF A LITTLE BIT TO THE WEST AND REMAINING ENERGY REALLY STARTED FROM IN COLLIN COUNTY, McKINNEY, PRINCETON, ALLEN, PLANO AND THEN PUSHED SOUTH AND WEST. SO WE WILL SEE THIS CONTINUE. IT LOOKS LIKE THE ENERGY IS DIVING SOUTH AND WEST AS WE SPEAK. WHY IS THIS BEING CAUSED? TAKE A LOOK ON WATER VAPOR. LET'S SHOW YOU THE BROAD VIEW. THERE'S A GOLF DISTURBANCE NOT EXPECTED TO ORGANIZE BUT IT FUELS THE MOISTURE, THE DEEPER MOISTURE BEING CAUGHT BY THE STATIONARY FRONT AND THEN A LITTLE DISTURBING, AND IMPULSE FROM MEXICO. THAT WILL RIDE UP NORTH AND EAST. SO I THINK ALL COULD PUT OUT MORE CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND STORMS TOMORROW AND INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. THERE'S THE STATIONARY FRONT, IT KIND OF RETREATED. BY TOMORROW, MIDDAY, THE MAIN FOCUS TO START WATCHING IS A LONG AND WEST OF I-35. THERE'S THE DISTURBANCE FROM MEXICO AND LOOK AT SPOTS LIKE ABILENE, SAN ANGELO, AND SOME OF THE RAIN COULD MAKE IT INTO THE SOUTHWEST METRO PLEX. SO THERE IS AN ISOLATED FLASH FLOODING THREAT ALONG AND WEST OF 35 AND SOUTH OF 20. MAINLY SOUTH AND WEST WILL BE THE HIGHEST THREAT . THERE'S THE FLASH FLOODING THREAT, THIS IS NOON ALONG AND WEST OF 35 BACK TOWARDS BRECKENRIDGE. THE FURTHER SOUTH WAS TO GO, A BETTER CHANCE OF SEEING FLASH FLOODING IN STORMS BECAUSE THERE WILL BE MORE PROLIFERATED ON THE MAP AND SOME WILL BE HEAVIER. LOOK AT THE TROPICS, NO CHANGE THIS EVENING. BUT THE SPOT WAS THE ONE TO WATCH PERHAPS COULD IMPACT THE GOLF NEXT WEEKEND. OR THE FOLLOWING WEEK, CHANCES ARE DECREASING, WE HOPE THAT TREND CONTINUES. EXPECT MORE RAINFALL, THIS IS GREAT NEWS, WE HAD SOME SPOTS REENTERED THE SEVERE DROUGHT CATEGORY. WE COULD REALLY USE ONE TO THREE INCHES. THE WEATHER ALERT CONTINUES FOR
