Mr chairman I'd like to submit for the record this 2021 Time magazine article titled how a white supremacist militia uses Facebook to radicalize and train new members about the Ukrainian Neo-Nazi aav Battalion without objection to ordered thank you time also put together a piece only three years ago and it's quite an extensive video that gives full information about the Nazis in Ukraine and their recruitment efforts that go all around the world um it's amazing to me that just in a few years time uh it's now considered misinformation to talk about the Nazis in Ukraine I'd like to quote the article it says that Ali sufen a security consultant and former FBI agent who has studied aav Nazis estimates that more than 177,000 foreign Fighters have come to Ukraine over the past six years from 50 countries according to Christopher Ray the FBI director he said that aov has been recruiting and radicalizing and Training American citizens for years he also finished saying uh in his testimony to the US Senate that American white supremacists are actually traveling overseas to train uh this is an extremely concerning situation I don't think anyone in the United States government Americans do not support actual Nazis or white supremacists I know I certainly do not and I can't understand why in just a short amount of time this information that our own American Media frequently talked about is no longer talked about I'd like to point out um also here's an NBC article stating that Ukraine's Nazi problem is real Mr Snyder do you see this headline this is NBC news they say that Ukraine's Nazi problem is real uh even if Putin's denazification claim is not so even our own American Media unless you consider NBC or Time Magazine misinformation spreaders or disinformation media Outlets um this is contrary to to what you testified and there's frequent pictures all over anybody can find them of Nazis here they are looks like something you'd see out of Hitler's Germany from Ukraine and this is something that's extremely important to talk about according to the Council of Europe however Ukraine is ranked well in the top half of countries in terms of how corrupt they are and The Last 5 Years Ukraine has ranked close to the countries like Gambia Iran Myanmar and Sierra Leon in corruption that's not very free and Democratic company to keep one of the ways that we lose to authoritarian States is if they can get their claws into our leaders either through money or comprom or psychological manipulation I just want to show you what happens when our leaders cave in to something tonight okay the the president I I I encourage I encourage her to be a good listener and she's been she's been a good listener so now of course both representative Raskin and Jasmine Crockett have been out there scoring hits Banger after Banger for months now if not years in the case of Jamie Raskin but combined with Joe Biden stepping out of the race and KLA Harris stepping in as the new Queen of the democratic party it really feels like the Democrats finally have some bite and perhaps it's no wonder that people like Rasin and Crockett are the ones doing it in the house they're lawyers they know what to do they know how to land these hits but much more important than the success of their attacks the success of the way they set things up seemingly perfectly made for the points they try to deliver in these uh hearings and the the the social media uh clips that come out of it is that this is not Marjorie green and this is not Lauren bber this isn't just swings and misses where you try to be sassy or you try to be cruel or something like this they actually do the research they understand the material they have the facts on their side and when you have a well-crafted argument that is founded in the actual facts and you know how to deliver it you have that sort of natural performative thing then that creates pure gold and we enjoy it week in and week out now obviously these uh hearing performances by people like Crockett and people like Rasin and others and you know the speeches that we're already seeing from Harris out on the campaign Trail are great uh they're no substitute for policy we need the policy as well we need the actual wins but until we get there it's nice to at least have a little bit of fight a little bit of fire a little bit of Fury on the Democratic side it has been aough few years particularly as Donald Trump has been campaigning as he seems to be completely incapable of being hemmed in by the legal system by consequences of almost any kind we need something to inspire us they have that on the Maga side they have Donald Trump he's a monster but he's their monster and they Delight in having their monster out there rampaging through cities and tearing down buildings and all that and and they're happy to have that uh you know what the Democratic party needs though in the face of this monster they need a monster Slayer and I don't know for sure at this point that Harris is that person but if she is if she could slay that monster and in particular if she could do it live on a debate stage well I don't
