old teenager from niagara falls and he is hosting a charitable event to raise money from pastor's mental health he is hosting a talent show on january 31st from 8 to 9 p.m and if you guys would like peace hey Evan Hardy guys my name is evan hardy i am hosting a virtual talent show on january 31st called stars in niagara and all the proceeds go to mental health walk-in clinic which is a amazing service and something that i truly believe in mental health is a huge issue right now and i think it's really important to bring awareness to it so uh yeah i hope to see you at the talent show and if you can make a donation that would be amazing Interview welcome back everyone we are here with evan hardy uh welcome evan thank you for joining us if you would like to um introduce yourself and just give us a little backstory on who you are for sure um i'm evan and i am actually a grade 12 student at sir winston and i am hosting a stars niagara virtual talent show on january 31st um it will be for any talent uh it's very widespread so there's there's not just not just uh music it's it's everything um and yeah there's some big prizes involved and it's all for mental health which is what i truly believe in and it's to um pathstone which is a walk-in clinic uh mental health yeah so tell me what the prize is i think the cash prize was 500 was it uh it's 200 for first uh 150 per second and 100 for third and then there's some other prizes um there's some raffle prizes and there's a passionate word so yeah lots of different stuff there so how did you come up with this idea uh so it's actually through a school uh school uh club that i was in uh called leave leadership and we were assigned a passion project which um ended up becoming the talent show what it is today um it's when you combine a passion and a cause in the community and just put them together so your passion is music is it it was music and then it was widened to be any talent just for everything um but yeah my personal talent is music so that's where that came from and then i've had a lot of friends dealing with mental health recently um it's it's definitely i know it is yeah there's a lot of awareness exactly yeah so trying to get back as much as we can especially with what's going on right now and so how can how can we access it on the 31st so the stream will be through youtube and that will be the you can get the link through my website or my instagram i also have it in this description in this video perfect thank you man i appreciate that um um and then it will also be available after the stream uh just if people couldn't make the stream it'll be it'll be on youtube after it'll be afterwards that's good uh well i'll definitely be there i'll be watching it and i hope you guys uh join too as even if you guys can just for a few minutes so evan you were uh saying that you enjoy doing music that's correct tell me about that how long have you been doing that for i've been playing guitar for about four years now started started going into high school and just recently i've been doing more singing and releasing did you do uh music classes at school or lessons outside of school before yeah i picked up vocals from uh from inside school and then it just became almost a part of my life so much that i was just you know lose all the time yeah i've done uh i used to do guitar a few years ago i've done it for uh four or five years um i've enjoyed it i still have my guitars i'm always going to keep them uh they're kind of just a thing i like to pick up once in a while and play you see over 1.7 k followers on instagram so if you guys want to go follow evan his instagrams on the screen right now so evan you said on the proceeds you're going to pass known as mental health yes and how are you planning on like delivering all of them like is there a way that uh people can donate through the stream or yeah so there'll be a direct link right there to the stream um there's also one that will be on the website so it's super easy um you just fill out a few a few things there and uh yeah if if you're willing to make a donation that would be amazing anyone that that wants to is it's gladly appreciated so every dollar counts guys um i'll probably make a donation myself and i'll be there supporting and watching uh the show so it's gonna be held on sunday january 31st from 8 to
