easy people welcome back to my Channel at Big Steve mcfc been a eventful last few days by all accounts uh some good news some sad news Man City got another win um don't know where to start really I think first of all we got to start with it with the sad news of um Sven goren Erikson passing away obviously the fmer city manager and um England boss um passed away with pancreatic cancer um I've been fortunate to meet San a couple of times when he was in charge of city and uh I found him a nice genuine footballing man always had time for everybody um and I feel like when he come into Manchester City it was a tough tough period for the club I think fax in Shinra was running it didn't really know what he was doing um there was no structure to it or anything and I think he just concentrated on the football side and um we had some good times we spent you know what I mean we're exciting times we signed Alano veteran coluca uh Valerie bodunov uh Rolando bian uh Giovani people like that and I think if everyone remembers the first game at West Ham at Upton Park that year we thought you know going to win the league we were that good but it quickly uh ended and and we had some ups and downs and Emil imp Penza and people like that came in I think uh I'm sure and Penza was there when swen was there I might be mistaken but we beat United at at the ET Giovani with a goal and then we went to Old Trafford with benjani and we won there and it was just um it was a good time for where it was in fact imp Penza I think was Stewart Pace thinking about it but um I definitely remember the two derby with Giovani and that I remember faxing Shinra in the director's box Old Trafford swinging his scarf around and um I remember the the um the way they was sacking him do you know what I mean the city fans didn't want him to go we was save Arven you know they were singing that song We Don't Need No Phil scalari we don't need Marino hey foxing leave us fan alone that was at anfield we were singing that and then we went to middles but last game of the season we knew he was losing his job uh we got be 81 the players through the toweling the fans were not wasn't happy they were right in behind the net they wouldn't let Sven come over to the to to the away end and clap the fans and it just went off man it went off but listen football has lost a great guy uh he'll be fondly Remembered at Manchester City Football Club and we just want to send um the condolences to the family and and and these friends and that this time but rest in peace Sven um you'll always be a part of my memories at Manchester City and um yeah tragic tragic and then you wake up to the Sven news which is devastating and then all of a sudden the Oasis news Oasis are back together after all these years I think it was 2009 after the feud we've watched it going on every week on Twitter we've watched teasing us it's happening it's not happening we've watched NL say it's not happening and then NL split up with his misses and he's like he needs to pick up the phone well it looks like somebody's picked up the phone it looks like they've put it to bed and it's been announced Oasis are back 2025 wemy Stadium Cardiff Stadium croak Park Heaton Park uh and murfield I think so it's going to be going off every man in his dog has been on talking about tickets are we going are we doing this um and yeah I think it's going to be probably the biggest set of concerts this country's ever seen I feel like they'll announce new dates once the sell they start selling out and um yeah as a mancunian lad growing up with Oasis back in the day when he used to have the little sideboards and that and a mop head you know what I mean used to be thinking it was Liam um why not let's do it again let's roll it back but what's good is like people of my age we've now got kid we've now got young Lads young girls who are in who are into this kind of music and this era who never seen them so we'll be able to take them to the gigs and connect man the old school and the new school and um I think it's going to be beautiful and I can't wait for it you know it happened a few years ago with the Roses the stone roses were my favorite band from years ago but I never got to see them live and then when they started and reformed and came back um I managed to share a few gigs at the etad fins repar eat and park watching the rosies leads I went all over watching them and uh yeah you can die a happy man now that we've going to get to see Stone Rose is back together and Oasis back together so yeah great news for all uh Oasis fans to back together good luck everybody getting tickets and um why not let's have it let's have it at the front but yeah great news well on to the football um last week IL Kai gundan resigned every every one was excited about him coming back to the EAD um we had it switch town at home at weekend uh the stadium was full the atmosphere was bouncing the weather was nice and um ilai gundan was named on the bench so we're thinking routine win IP switch uh the starting lineup was pretty much the same as what we expected we didn't want any too many changes to be honest it was good to see sveno fit um and back on the pitch after coming off at Chelsea um and yeah the game started off pretty well city were dominating and then what happens sometimes against City we get caught the run a play Samy smodic with a bit of a scuffed goal IP switcher in Dreamland I looked over to the away end and the ipswitch fans were going mental fair play but do you know what I took a step back and I said to my mate next to me I said that is the worst thing it switch could have done you have literally now just poked the bear and within 20 minutes was game over after that City turned it on first with a penalty saevinho with another D into the box 100% it's a penalty he brings him down the big Norwegian steps up you know he's on great form at the minute he looks confident he looks arrogant he looks Brash it's just how we want him he smashes it in uh couple of minutes later um City are pressing High really really pressing we get the uh the ball off mck ex City player and uh de bruy Strokes it into the empty net um after that City again pressing Kevin De bruy with a ball over the top ering Harland through nods it past the keeper and to be honest it's a great finish from a tight angle knocks it into the net and um yeah City have done it they're done then they're clear it's 3-1 Happy Days um pretty much second half was just City controlling the game didn't need to go gungho I switch didn't really offer anything going forward they were they were thinking probably they're going to get hit for eight and nine so let's just calm down and then um late in the game ering Harland edge of the Box left foot um was it left foot I think it was left foot bottom corner bang um great finish from from a long way out great finish and uh another hattick for Earl I think it's one games and 94 goals and I think it's 10 hattricks in all competition seven in the Premier League I mean I mean it's unbelievable what what what Erin's doing at the minute it's absolutely unbelievable the guy of what he's done coming into Manchester city is unreal and if he'd be at any other club now they'd be waxing lyrical about him but because it's City it's this he's a League 2 player uh we played better without him all that crap that we had to suffer last season he rammed it down the throat we won the league and he got Golden Boot and he's going for the Golden Boot again there's nobody going to touch him but I feel he's improving as a player I feel like early linkup plays getting better I feel like he's not making stupid runs now when he hasn't got the ball thinking everyone's going to find him he needs to be clever for me he makes them runs when de bruyne's got the ball he makes them runs when gan's got the ball he makes them runs when fen's got the ball because them players are likely to find him if Nathan a is running deep don't make a run AK ain't finding you do you know what I mean if Ruben Diaz is running into the into into the edge of the box Ruben Diaz ain't fighting you that's just common sense and I think he's learned that about his game you could see with the with the um the the third goal um of the game when de Bren put the ball in he made the Run great ball he nod it P the keeper scores there're the runs we got to look out for I feel like ilai gundan was on the level with him when he played with him I feel like ilai found him many a time but then it was a time ilai gundan he got off the bench he stripped off the etad went wild and he came back on and it was fantastic to see ilai in a sky blue shirt again just ticking along in the Midfield pinging them passes around I watched him telling a few of the younger players what to do c down and all that and it's all about control with v Kai gundan I think he can control a game he can turn it on he can decide whether we're going to step the tempo up or we're going to bring it down a notch and I think it's an absolutely great signing and seeing him there and seeing the smile on his face as well like he was back um was absolutely brilliant and then to Come Away with a 4-1 win two wins out of two the charity Shield as well early in the season um we've started the season well Blues we have and I feel like we've got a tough game coming up this weekend I feel like West Ham have gone in a different direction with the signings of players they've bought I feel like they are quite exciting especially at home now they um they've got a decent team a lot of problems you know what I mean Kudos is a great player um full rug the sign from Dortmund is a handful um Juan bazaka the other day looked like a different man since he's left man united he was Galloping down that that that touch line like he'd uh you know got a new lease of life so West Ham away coming up is going to be tough but I feel like we can get the job done I feel like we're not even in first gear yet I feel like we're just coasting I think Fen will be back from illness I feel like um Jon stones and Kyle Walker Etc might be more involved in these games now coming up to get themselves up to match Fitness um kovic had a little bit of a of a knock he went off just a precaution but I'm looking forward to it I think I'm going to go down on the Friday and uh have a couple of nights down there West Ham nice place around around the ground um but yeah I'm looking forward to it but another thing transfer deadline dat is fast and rapidly approaching we are seeing today links Chelsea with Ivan Tony I think we've been linked with a young striker from Copenhagen um I'd be absolutely baffled if we didn't dip into the market and get somebody I do feel like we are going to be light up front and no City fans say we could play a false nine and and I'm sure we can but having that extra Striker to come off the bench and just do a job when Erin's done his hattick and wants to go for for a rest or something like that is going to be needed the Champions League draw is coming up this week the the new format which I'm very very intrigued to see these eight games four at on four away random teams um I can't wait for that hopefully we can get some new away days instead of going Madrid shakar denes Red Bull lives all the time we want some different away days Benfica PTO even Celtic could do you know things like that let's just freshen it up a little bit I'm looking forward to it but um yeah that's going to be an interesting one I think I'm live on City TV on the day of the draw so you can tune in there in the afternoon with Eda Manu and stuff I'll be there reacting to the draw and and and and our opponents so that'll be good um but yeah the transfer windows for me we've got to go and get someone you know what I mean I feel like uh the link to kyogo at Celtic has definitely got legs I feel like he gives us a different option he gives us energy he gives us that uh pure in the Box you know when you see him at Celtic I know he's 29 year old but you know pep is thinking maybe shortterm do you know what I mean maybe um the Ivan Tony thing stinks of having a bad attitude nobody's touching him and then it comes out Chelsea want him so he'll probably go there you know for me uh Chelsea at the minute RMS so leave him to it um but other than that let me know who you think you know aiman 55 million I think that's cheap uh but there's a reason why no one's scrambling for aiman you know what's the problem with him um other than that around Europe I've never known it as bad for Strikers I did watch Juventus last night to be fair and that Duan looked okay and I feel like he's got the the build for the premier league and I think feel like he he reminds me a bit of an Alvaro n Gro type who's got that build and he could he could probably handle it in the Premier League so he's one that stands out to me but I just can't see City spending big money on anyone I think they're just going to get a quick fix we've got uh El Chi coming in January from River Plate whether he will stay with the squad or be loaned out we don't know um um we've signed the guy from um West Ham modima is it modu or something uh I think he got young Player of the Year at West Ham he's got a you know a lot of potential but is it too soon you know if you're not at West Ham playing why you going to just walk up to man city and end up playing so that's a difficult one as well but I'm sure Pep's got it under control there's a few possible exits um I've just seen that matus Nunes might be going on L to Atletico Madrid it's a strange one I've never really understood the Nunes signing where he fits in I don't see where peps even bothering trying to integrate him in the team he doesn't look like he's he's going to get a game anytime soon bit similar to Calvin Phillips situation so that's a strange one um andala the youth team Winger and a few of the youth players are now getting linked to maybe going out on loan maybe being sold so there's definitely things happening Blues behind the scenes so it's one of things we just got to wait it out be patient and I'm sure by the first of September we'll know where we are but I'm happy with the beginnings I'm happy with the gundan signing I'm happy with sveno signing um we are looking good and in good form and we just got to do what we do best keep it going you know what I mean keep it going um one thing I wanted to touch on as well I do believe that maybe the club will going to announce something about the new stand this week I think there seems to be dialogue between fan groups and fans and and and and the club regarding who's going to sit where atmosphere wise um I do believe that something is needed me personally I would not want to move from the southand to that new section I believe that the southand and and the fans that are in the southand at the minute are doing a good job job and I feel like everyone's settled and we've got a good core in there what I do believe is that the one facing the northand um someone like the 1894 group if they've got members that want to go over there and try and recreate the southand over there as well and have two sections that could work for me a lot of new season ticket holders a lot of young ones 18 to 25s maybe that want to go over there and create this atmosphere if they can work with a club and the club can put them in like a central block and they can make sure that them two Central blocks behind that net are full of singers slash um vocal fans I think you you you've got a great opportunity to plant the seed in the middle of the stand and let it grow out do you know what I mean so I'll be interested to see what comes out and I'll be interested what the club want to say about that but let me know what you guys think about that in the comments in in uh let me know do you think the north standing you think it's viable for everyone from the south to move to the North or do you feel like people are are like um happy where they are they've got mates and Friends they're happy in the seats it's going to be tough I feel like for me leave the southand core there northand make um some changes in the middle of it and let's get it vocal in there you know what I mean and uh hopefully the club can do the right thing and speak to people don't just make a rash decision let the club come out and uh approach the fans approach the season to get olders get the questionnaires out there fill it in see what the best option is because I had to walk around there the other day and it looks outstanding the new work around the North Stand and the the hotel and all that around there just looks unbelievable and um I feel like when it's all complete the match day experience at the EAD stadium is going to be second and on it's going to be absolutely unreal unreal so yeah looking forward to that but listen Blues um few little things if you haven't seen my little IP switch preview on Man City TV go and have a look at that I went to Portman Road and we filmed it about the 2001 game that was brilliant um the big six show this week is hilarious go and watch the big six show from the other night click on the first five minutes you'll be laughing your tits off say having a meltdown when United got beat he's unreal and school fugger is edited so it looks like he's on the phone again G Neville it's so funny go and check it out but if you're not following the
