College Football 2024 AP Poll Release: Top 25 Rankings Ft. Georgia, Ohio State, Texas & Alabama

lipold a dynamic offense there for KU don't sleep on The Jayhawks at 21 is the Arizona Wildcats also with the Big 12 Conference Arizona has a new head coach in Brent Brennan coming in but they have a lot of offensive fireworks that they're going to be bringing to the table there and they did a good job of keeping their players from leaving in the transfer portal despite Jed fish leaving as their head coach at 20 we find the Texas A&M AIS new head coach Mike Elco coming in to College Station how will he do in his first year after having some very good success there with Duke at 19 is the Miami Hurricanes they bring in cam Ward to be their new starting quarterback expected to be one of the top quarterbacks in the country a lot of pressure on Mario crystal ball this season to see if Miami can get over the hump at 18 is the Kansas state wild cats and we heard Chris kman say a while back all the talk all the excitement about their starting quarterback Avery Johnson who replaces will Howard who's off to Ohio State he said that will Howard was the fastest player on his entire team not just the offense not just the skill positions but the entire team Avery Johnson expected to be a breakout player in college football this year at 17 it's Mike gundy's Oklahoma State Cowboys Gundy he's a man he's 57 as of today happy birthday to Mike Gundy and company and he's got one of the most explosive players at all college football Oly Gordon making his return the do Walker Award winner from last year and number 16 is their Rivals the Oklahoma Sooners who enter their first year in the SEC the Florida State seols at the number 10 spot came up just short of making the college football playoff a season ago despite having an undefeated campaign new quarterback dju coming in Mike norell and Company they're back and they're going to be hungry here this season at nine we find the reigning National Champion Michigan Wolverines at this spot new head coach Chiron Moore taking over for Jim Harbaugh who's now with the LA Chargers look out for the Michigan Wolverine to potentially Make Some Noise this year at number eight we find the Penn State nitty Lions will this be the year that James Franklin finally gets over the hump can they beat the likes of Ohio State and Michigan and those top teams in the Big 10 can they win the Big 10 conference this year we'll see number seven we find the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at this spot Notre Dame as an independent is not eligible for a top four seed in the college football playoff if they make the postseason we know that they will be in that first round at number six I got to tell you I think this is the breakout team in college football this year the Old Miss running rubbles Jackson Dart is Back Lane kein got an explosive offense they bring in Walter Nolan on the defensive side of the football one of the best defensive linemen in the country from Texas A&M I think that team is going to be fantastic Lane kein put together the number one transfer portal class of the 2024 season at number five we find the Alabama Crimson Tide kayin dor their new head coach replacing the legendary Nick Sabin but good news for kayin dor he's got Jaylen milro back and many others on this Alabama team where although faces change the expectations don't at number four another team that made the college football playoff a season ago the Texas Longhorns as Quin yers is back under Center he's expected to be a Heisman candidate he's got a new receiver in Isaiah Bond coming over from Alabama who is going to play a pivotal role in replacing the likes of Adonai Mitchell and Xavier worthy at number three we find the Oregon Ducks my pick to win the Big 10 conference this year Dylan Gabriel coming in he's my Heisman pick this year as well uh under Center he's going to be really good what we've seen from Dan Lanning they've been building piece by piece there they did a really good job at the portal as well watch out for the Ducks at number two we find the Ohio State Buckeyes new quarterback will Howard under Center you lose Marvin Harrison Jr but don't worry they have plenty of weapons there on that Ohio State team they're going to be a lot of fun to watch this year and then at the number one spot no surprise we find the Georgia Bulldogs Kirby smarts crew gets the number one ranking once again and this Georgia team going to be the team to beat Carson Beck one of the Heisman favorites this year very good defense there with the Georgia Bulldogs watch out as Georgia's the favorites once again even though Georgia is the favorites though it is worth noting folks that of the 20 of the last 20 national champions in college football 18 of them were not the preseason number one team in the AP poll Georgia comes in with high hopes and expectations we see that Nick Sabin is gone Kirby Smart is clearly the best coach in college football now pressure is on this Georgia team to perform and there's a real chance now with Sabin gone and Kirby as the guy in college football to really build this thing into a dynasty and be that dominating Force for many years to come is Georgia the next Alabama that's the question that we're asking ourselves here as we embark on this new chapter heading into the 12 team playoff an expanded SEC Conference watch out Georgia is it their time I believe it is now let's ask you about the Texas Longhorns by the way you saw Texas at number four in the poll is Texas officially back was it for real or were they just playing games with us last year weigh in let us know why for yes in for no if you believe Texas is back or not let's go over for the first place votes now Georgia rolls in at uh number one overall with 46 first place votes Ohio state with 15 first place votes at number two and then Oregon was able to get one first place vote at number three the best of the rest the teams outside of the AP Top 25 that receive votes include the Louisville Cardinal with 111 votes Virginia Tech with 77 Poise State a team to watch in the group of six if if you will if you want to call it that including the pack two in that Bunch remember there is going to be a bid in the college football playoff for whoever the highest ranked conference Champion is of that group of six watch out for Poise State SMU with 33 first with 33 receiving votes as they embark on a New Journey in the ACC Iowa State Matt Campbell and Company a lot of people sleeping on the Cyclones they got 33 votes Liberty also a team to watch out of the group of six with 32 votes Washington they were in the national championship a season ago but now they find themselves rebuilding new head coach Jed Fishing Company West Virginia with 17 votes Neil Brown is still around after he saved his job last year Memphis with 16 votes Matt Ru in the Nebraska Corn Huskers with 16 votes they've been a sleeper pick as a team to watch in the Big 10 Wisconsin with 15 votes as Luke fickle enters his second year with the batchers UTSA with six votes tane with five appstate with four Kentucky with three Mark Stoops ended up staying at Kentucky despite the Rumblings of him go to Texas A&M Auburn with two and then Coach Prime in Colorado that exciting team with shador Sanders Travis Hunter and Company with one vote as well the odds according to FanDuel entering the 2024 campaign have the Georgia Bulldogs as the favorites at plus 280 Ohio State at plus 400 Oregon at plus 650 Texas at plus 850 Alabama and Old Miss at plus 1,400 a piece how do you think the AP did with their Top 25 Poll it's hard to hate on it
