Why NFL Players HATE Guardian Helmets

we all know concussions happen right I've had several documented probably a few more undocumented right I think we can all say the same thing but do you ever think that these diapers that you wear on top of the helmets is ever going to make it into a real game I do think now let's ask if they should we all signed up for this we all signed up for this sport did we not yeah would you do it over again yeah would you do it over again do it we we'd all do it over again cuz we know the risks when we signed up for it I probably would have done a aren ball snap my leg in half those things I mean if you want to wear them in practice I got no issue with that like do I think they should be there no but if you want to wear them in practice I think they're mandatory in practice they are right right and now the rule states that you can wear them in a game if you want to I believe it's it it cracks me up because probably the most watch videos on YouTube it's the biggest hits it's always the biggest hits always that's what people watch everyone knows that one YouTube video like tall is Joe Al going to be with that head covering he be like seven seven foot he's going to be seven foot tall that's what he is 69ine another three in the first concussion I had in the NFL James Harrison knocked me cold out diaper or not I was going to get knocked out yep he hit me that hard right like I just I can't imagine guys wearing that in a game I mean all I hear about in the locker room is guys just moaning and groaning about like do I seriously have to put this thing on this is ridiculous but apparently the numbers you know concussions are down in practice and training camp when they're forced to wear these things you met some of these white outs and how sweet they look with their socks and their wristbands and their armbands going out there looking in the mirror then putting on that thing on their helmet there's no way that's going to happen can't wait till they start implementing finds on not wearing the diaper on your helmet wow it was great with just Lin is it just linemen or everybody I think anybody can wear it but in in training camp I think it's just linan right inside the Box yeah Bo seven Line running backs tight ends wear it yep but what makes the NFL so good is the Carnage that's what people always Lite of we're we're the modern day Gladiator it's why the UFC is taking off people want to see blood they want to see heads bouncing off the canvas everyone at home that wants to like be politically correct you're [ __ ] lying to yourself everyone wants to see Carnage I want to see the receiver coming across the middle and getting knocked the [ __ ] out that's what people are paying $20 billion a year to come see now if we're going to go out there and sugarcoat and say that it's not what it is we all know the risk we know how much we're getting paid we trade our health for money that's the Baseline of the NFL so if you taking that away and you start taking away from the Carnage and what people loved Messi and his boys are all going to come over here and take the number one sport from us and we're going to lose it to soccer and it's might as well give it up right now because that Carnage is why I watch why I'm a fan when I'm not playing I think it's start a transition a little bit I think people want to see scoring fantasy football you know what I mean I mean I think the Carnage days are starting to dwindle away because it's impossible to have it now well it's slowly going away I mean you can't hit anybody and it was reflected on the draft right first what 15 picks if you're a offensive players I don't know how you tackle a guy if receiver goes up for the ball and you're coming this way and you want to go for the ball you're going to hit them high that's a penalty if you don't go for the ball they're not protected so that's a penalty if you hit them too low that's a penalty so I I don't know what they got to do so I think those Carnage days are over and they're trying to get rid of that but the skill the finess is for growing into that yeah the fantasy football numbers the T Higgins the plays the Odell Beckham one-handed catches Tyreek Hill speed down the field you know what I mean so it's cyclical it is cyclical you see Jim Harbaugh coming back yeah Jim harbar coming back you see Mike McDonald in Seattle when teams get a little too soft now all of a sudden they start game starts to morph a little bit so it'll be interesting to see how that all plays out because you are right the Stars pay the bills and that's why they're being protected that's why the hip drop tackles out because money is is what's driving this thing but winning also plays an effect and if you can play Smashmouth football like we talked about playing in the AFC North there's Carnage there still that's funny because a lot of teams do strictly 11 personnel right now Hardball is going to come back in he's going to be in three tight end sets two tight end sets a fullback and teams really don't practice that you know in training camp there's not many nine on seven teams anymore there's not many base defenses uh you know under defenses the old Pittsburgh Steelers you know over four3 linebackers and all that stuff it's mainly nickel yeah so now all of a sudden we got to play base we got to get a third linebacker on the field we got to get a Sam linebacker playing out the edge of the line of scrimmage and you know there are not many players in the league that do that anymore it's going to be it's going to be a challenge for a lot of these teams when they're playing the hard balls uh both hard balls actually compare that with rushing averages being higher than they've been in years over the last couple of years and then going back to your cyclical point right then what happens now we have to draft the three four nose guards again now we have to get bigger linebackers in there to handle this right and that's what's going to happen it's right it's you go away from it for 10 years and then Casey Hampton's back playing nose Garden 10 years and then yeah then we go back to the JJ Watts and the Aaron Donald's in the middle and then we go back to it just constantly works the only issue is is college football they don't have a lot of tight ends anymore they're all spread out only teams that usually use them are who Wisconsin yeah Iowa Alabama Alabama right those are the teams and there's few and far between most other tight ends are just a glorified bigger receiver basketball players basketball player split out wide just run a vertical scene right you won't get hit they can't tackle you yeah I mean concussions are real though like your kids want to play football someday you're going to let them play football a assuming the risk of concussion th% I think you learn more about life in this sport than you do any other sport maybe anything else yeah honestly you get paired with this kid from Philadelphia is paired with this kid from Compton California raised completely different now they're playing Center and guard next to each other they become the best friends they're best men in each other's weddings they're on a 15-play drive down six in the fourth quarter one's bloody one's sweat one's got a broken ankle almost how we going to rise up and go get this touchdown you know like it's not taught anywhere else I I a th% agree I've said it all the time if my son wants to play football he can play right I think the discipline aspect I think the team aspect I think waking up and pursuing something and and knowing that like I got to carry my weight and I got to figure this out and I have responsibility but I have it towards myself and I have it towards everybody else right I think the the lessons that it teaches you just about like being able to pursue something and work at something and build goals have dreams right foot football you're doing it I mean the my best friends in the world are guys who I've played with from high school to college to the NFL right and and I wouldn't trade that for anything right everyone knows there's a risk playing football everybody knows that when you sign up to play football there's 100% chance you're going to get hurt that's part of it but we still do it we still love it and the bond you make and the the the person that you become by training and disciplining yourself and sacrificing like you I learned all that at my dad as a coach but watching watching it since I was a little kid right that's right and of course my son can play if he wants to no I agree I mean you guys hit the nail on the head if my son wants to play one day hopefully I have a son I don't have one right now so I can't make that that distinction but uh the the cost benefit analysis is definitely more benefits to playing football than and just sitting around watching I would to talk mine golf live golf in particular yeah no that's football was is my whole life and grew up at it my dad was a coach obviously my brother's a coach and um really wouldn't know what to do without it you mentioned that with the players what the transition period is if I didn't have coaching as an option I have no idea what I'd be doing because it's was everything yeah it's total timec consuming uh great memories great games great people us four wouldn't be sitting here without it and that's what I would tell guys who are transitioning from the league like you do you aren't necessarily all the way behind the eightball you have a lot of skills you have discipline you have sacrifice you've learned teamwork time management you have time management you have a lot of things under your belt figure out where where I can use some of these things right you may have to start over you may have to start back in seventh grade football but don't feel like you got no skills leaving this game right you got some stuff like you how did you get here it wasn't just off pure talent I mean maybe a few people but that's it
