Reactions To Apple's iPhone 16/16 Pro Event! (Apple Bitz XL Video Podcast, Ep. 317)

Intro what's up everybody you might recognize these lovely faces in the house because we started this I feel like was it like three years ago or something something maybe this is the OG crew we're going to have some fun this is like a video podcast so I will introduce the stars from left to right crystal Laura hello your average consumer judner Ora what's up I'm so can you say it again what's up Sky say say say What's up again what's up wo for all you ASMR fans that might have hit pretty hard and then also we got Tech me out here hey y you know why she's laughing because it does affect her too what what the what's up oh you okay so everybody um this is great to be back together the just for people watching yes we're here onite at Apple Park um this is recording with a setup using Final Cut on an iPad with Final Cut camera on four iPhones I just don't want to put the shot on iPhone logo at the end of this video because you know how they always do that like shot on iPhone I'm just going to tell you all this is shot on iPhone so all you eagle eyes can critique the quality of this video in the comments okay so uh we are here for it's glow time and I you know we haven't talked about any of this amongst ourselves so that's why I love it we just free flow so I'm going to start by opening up the floor here and uh let's say what was your we'll start with what was maybe a feature when you think of this event top of mind that stood out to you that you thought was really impressive that you liked that might impact you you what might that be if someone has that in their head and wants to go ahead first Crystal does camera Stand Out Features - Camera Control, Visual Intelligence, Sleep Apnea control not button control yes cuz I kept calling it a button but you can't call it that it's not it's more than a button it really is though like the intuitive of the slide and when you first use it like it it truly like you get used to it quickly at first I was like wait how am I going to get used to this but after like a minute or so it's it becomes really natural and yeah I think I mean camera in itself and I won't you know stay too long it but like camera was the thing for me like this year is the year of the camera for sure yeah yeah I I second that cuz I'm leaning more into iPhone photography and videography so to see improvements there in that way where it makes it easier to switch modes to start recording it was just like instant from the lock screen so all the new features that are coming with that and also visual intelligence I know it's not here quite yet but it's coming soon but I like that cuz it's often times you're out you have questions about things so it's nice to be able to just snap that photo and get the information okay so we have so far camera control visual intelligence MH me it's the uh sleep apnea oh on the Apple watch cuz I'm pretty sure I suffer from sleep Happ yeah and like Arie my wife is always breathe you know like in my sleep so I'm pretty sure I you know suffer from it so I'm curious to see how it's going to read my sleep and you know what it's what it has to say about that so that one's near and dear to me it's such a common thing too like a lot of people have it I'm I'm right there with them my my wife says there's times where like she thinks I'm not breathing anymore and I I do a big like yes but I don't know this and so I'm pretty sure like you we could do a sleep study together right like separately you know yeah that part that part clarication there just letting you know um but yeah sleep apnea absolutely I'm going to throw one out here that maybe doesn't affect me directly but I thought was actually like the most impactful announcement is the Hearing Assistance Tools - AirPods Pro 2 hearing test and hearing a assistance built into the airpods and I only bring it up is because someone like my dad who's hearing is less has lessen he doesn't want to buy a hearing aid it's the big and bulkiness of it it's there's this there's also stigmas around it and I think about dang so my dad doesn't wear airpods right now right but we know that socially airpods are so just more accepted and normal and not nearly as intrusive um did you guys get to go through that exercise with the airpods at all the hearing test stuff and so I just think about okay these are the number one selling wireless earbuds they have that brand Equity a hearing a is normally like 800 bucks or something and these are $249 I guess for airpods Pro 2 and could actually change people's lives and quite honestly maybe eventually for what we do there's going to be times where our hearing may not be the best as much and so I think that that has you know Ripple Ripple effects down the road it may not be right away but people might learn about it and be like oh and we have already seen people wearing airpods Pro in concerts with adaptive audio just to kind of lessen some of that sound damage and they're even doing more on that end so I thought that was that was just and I don't know it's kind of a little emotion I saw people in my room like thinking about family members and stuff like wow I thought about my father-in when you said uh your dad M so I was like he absolutely would benefit from it yeah you know I got to give Apple Goes Beyond Just Tech Apple props for thinking about the little things in the in the space of keeping us healthy and keeping us safe yeah uh that you wouldn't expect a phone manufacturer or like you know head like anyone who makes headphones to think about you know fall detection crash detection uh sleep apne on on your Smartwatch hearing a SOS emergency satellite like all yeah would you have ever thought to ask that for that from your manufact like your phone manufacturer or your headphone manufacturer thinking ahead for us absolutely and and these are areas where they're not they're common problems but not one that anyone's ever really thinking about in the Forefront of their minds you know or so it's it's nice to get those extra health benefits from our everyday Tech that we're going to use anyway that's good good to you guys I mean how do you Crystal when you hear some of that stuff how how does that maybe play into your life and your family of those heal like it directly relate like you said to all of us like all of us you know think of that family member I mean this year was like a crazy year for for my family and I like my dad went through a open heart surgery and I mean he's an Apple watch user he's used all of it like the sleep tracking all of it has been so useful in his recovery so yeah it's awesome Apple thinks of that stuff the vitals app is great the health app even like it has like grown so much from what it was before to now like there's so much that you can see in the health app so it it's awesome I love it all yeah uh check me out so what are we going with real names or bro like I did not I I'm so used to seeing you all okay yeah her name is Tech me out guys all right all right we're going with with no we're going oh combo names but hers is Tech me out got it see this is you just cut this part we don't cut this part we we we just let it roll for people to absorb and be like these people are weird so you know I what I I don't know if you found this um based on responses that you've seen on social media or to your content but I really thought was interesting is and I want to talk about it we are all content creators right and I feel like these Pro Content Creator Reactions vs Consumer Reactions phones specifically speak to content creators speak to people who want to aspire to make content and the stuff that they're doing from a technical standpoint we'll talk about it in a little bit is pretty incredible but I felt that there's a lot of backlash that oh you got oh here we go again like you know Apple lovers and I'm like and in my videos I state it clear like my mom's not going to be recording 4K 1220 Dolby Vision anytime soon may maybe mama you are maybe you're into that but probably not but stuff like that you know we're all like Juiced about we're Juiced about camera control and what they can do with that and so I'm kind of curious what the temperature what temperature have you been feeling from out there based on what we're excited about versus maybe what the general public is excited about I think for me a lot of the comments that I've been seeing are people saying that it's a small upgrade you know um it's not enough for them but then there's also the demographic of people that like it and I fit in there you know like I like the changes that have came um so I'm not disappointed in that I know there were a lot of comments on the airpod Maxes now that right there you know AirPods Max 2024 that's I could kind of lean into cuz it is nice to see new colors and USBC charging on it but um there's a lot of other things that could be added as well so that's kind of what I've been seeing and how I feel with it I know you have some thoughts on that I saw your eyebrows go up what with the uh with the airpods max yes uh I mean you can say it this is a safe space there's no employees here in the room at all right I love the airpods PS they're so good no uh you know it's kind of hard for the airpods max I think I've always been a fan of the audio quality I think it sounds great you know uh would I have liked to see some new feature or maybe a new chip in there definitely so that we can get some of those like it would have been nice to get Precision finding you know if we could if we can get although you're not going to lose your airpods max like you would your airpods but I I still think you make a valid point actually but like at that price point it would have been nice to get all the features that we have on the airpods pro too you know on that as well like the head nod and stuff like that yeah yeah you know what I think is interesting is so I talked about how incredible the airpods pro two were and look Apple of all companies can get me with a color cuz purple is my favorite color right so I instantly you know how like technology has advanced so much like there's minor changes and you see a color it kind of hits you I feel like that teal iPhone 16 speaking your langu got we got to talk about that we we'll get to that right but you know the part of it I don't Apple hasn't said this yet but the airpods max the fact that they're not using an H2 chip with all the audio advantages like conversational awareness and adaptive audio maybe I'm not g making any excuses but the airpods pro are such a light thing that we go around like walking around in cities like now we do do see some people wearing airpods Max but for whatever reason they clearly held out on putting an H2 in the max I don't know if that's a strategic thing or maybe we actually see a totally boosted up airpods Max in another year or so we don't know but it just seems like the color and it's been like three or four years since we last saw it that's the thing it's like is it just there was enough time for like a new a new one there was definitely enough time maybe there's one down the line but it feel like it was an intentional decision well I mean of course cuz it happened but do you get what I mean when I say that I I I think partially because they're they're $549 when they went on sale on Amazon for $399 that's when you saw a lot of people scoop them up but I think that price point is still I know they're aiming for a premium value in the ecosystem I think 549 is still high for headphones absolutely so I think and because of that arguably it doesn't sell as many units unless they go on sale and because that if they were turning through these things I think we probably would have seen a model with maybe more it's worth the investment yeah right right and so they're kind of still waiting and seeing how this plays out so um Crystal wait so are you guys saying you're not going to rock the airpods max no I am I I I I I'm torn cuz purple is literally my favorite color but the smart person to me is like I already have a pair like what's the point I like I need a new color is that the color yeah the orange one yeah it looks like creamsicle yeah I like like I almost LED it I love Starlight so I'm definitely going to skip those up and I feel like it's like you know I know this is not the reason but they're kind of like a fashion statement in New York City people wear them just like it goes with the outfit and the look and the feel you know it looks nice do you have a Starlight laptop I used to I'm just it matches it's match yeah it matches right on I'm going to go back into that Starlight desert you knowx yeah it's going to going to be great can't wait Crystal Starlight era is coming back y'all it's coming back this the i i for one like I was very cuz I I stay away from like the like the rumors and the oh it's coming and I know a lot of people like saw it coming finally but when it was announced I was like yes and then it was such a quick thing I don't even think they said the word USBC till after but I was excited for it so yeah yeah I heard someone behind me actually gasp when they announced the new airpod Max like oh I remember that I was in that kind of General section we all started laughing people like what right I thought that was but that shows like the me I think I guessed it it could have been you it could have been cuz I couldn't see who but it shows like how right we're because we're in this space we really represent a small percentage of the actual audience that is buying this stuff and our perspectives are also although people lean on us for certain expertise like we are this I feel like we're really small slice of the pie that represents who's buying these things now I was going to say I'm pretty sure how we feel about it though is what everyone else feels about for the airpods max for the airpods max in particular yes yeah yeah I agree with you on that for sure should be a little bit more yeah um leave it at that I want to I want to let you express your love for this new okay so this is all right this is your moment Apple Did Good w/ iPhone 16 Colors he's getting braced I'm getting fired up okay no I this year's 16 colors I feel like looks so good chef's kiss right seriously the best every last one teal is amazing like I'm biased but teal looks amazing and I think a lot of people who aren't like teal Freaks Like Me are are like yo Teal's probably the best one ultramarine I love Ultramar so it looks so good they all look so good and it gets me upset that I know I'm not going to use those models I'm a pro user and I've got the same colors again yes like I why can't we have fun colors like that like I just Pros like colors too yes where we actually hey make that a t-shirt love col colors too Pros actually really love colors why I'm going to get us wor shirts and we're going to wear that in the next podcast and maybe never come back here after again oh my gosh Pros like color too no I'm sure there's like market research and there's maybe some data behind like special colors not selling on the Pro Models or something I don't know maybe but like I think the last Okay so we've had adventurous colors come out as like one-offs correct I believe like what like one color would be the the kind of the pop little pop right purple had the specific blue green purple but they're not vibrant and Punchy fun like so I have some interesting Insight so back in the day I used to work for a case company okay and so we made these hard shells for MacBook Pros okay okay so like kind of that clear case but different colors and I'll tell you what I'll tell you right now instead of us making us guess what the number one colors were number one color was clear of okay of course number two was black number three was red number four was pink mhm and pink and red were very high up there but the greens the blues the purples were absolutely lower in this hierarchy of colors that consumers ended up buying and so when we talk about pops of color pros come on we we could get we should get a red by now we should even get a pink by now argu could be at least one I've been I'll I'll wait for that moment I that's has to happen apple has a huge audience that loves pink of both of all genders that would buy a pro pink phone I would buy a pro pink phone cuz it's dope I get that I get the logic and if I were buying a case or if I were buying a case or something I'd probably buy those colors first too but here's the thing if you're going to invest in it for the six just do it for the the the pros I mean I'm sorry not the six the 16 just do it for the the pros too like hey some people are still on sixes right now J come talk to me watch some of our videos if you're still on a six will help you out oh my god um but seriously like I'm I'm sure Apple factoring that in that's why they make the the black the white the pink for the 16s um but they're still made they still made the teal and the ultramarine for those as well I'm sure they made far lower quantities of those yes give me make far lower quantities of those and for the Pro Models yeah see how it sells okay Apple I know you're watching this so keep listening hopefully we come back next year um check me out uh let's maybe talk about any other products or just things that uh you liked from the keynote or that stood out to you any other things that stood out geez you got me thinking oh um all the photographic Styles and tone control like all the controls now Photographic Styles uh that we were talking about but when you can go in there and like edit the photo and get your skin tone a little bit more accurate to the way that you want it to be you know I like that aspect of it because especially with darker skin tones I feel like it's hard to get that proper color representation so to go in there and fine-tune it before and or after at any time is is nice I then of course obviously we're going to need to do more testing on that um the only thing I I fear is that when messing with the skin tones it's going to change the overall Dynamic of the photo like if we're you know got a red undertone or something and we want to push it to that uh how will it impact the overall image you know I know it's not going to be I'm pretty sure it's not going to be like a heavy filter or anything where it's just one giant you know cast on your photo but I'm curious to see just how much of impact because at some the other aspects of the photo I'm sure will change to some degree unless they do something cool where you know you you know how you can crop out your your subject in a photo or something if we could do that and then apply skin tones I like I said we got to I got to test I think your brain is working the right direction though right like the fact that look Apple talks all about like AI generative AI like they can detect where the person is they really can and as these models get trained better and better without a doubt I what you're saying I think is something that is like the next next step that we could see down the road because of how important it is but also the technology can do it so once we start separating a subject and then their skin from the picture then you can play with that for sure right yeah yeah there's definitely I mean we see it in the cleanup is it what exact yeah you got it right you it like highlights like the the cutout is so perfect for the like unwanted things in the in the photo and from what I saw I don't know there was like a way to like you know change like the intensity of the photographic Styles and they were playing around with that we definitely like need more time with it and testing and all that but I feel like I'll use them more because I didn't really use the ones that we currently have yeah at all so yeah I second that I used them more when they first came out and then as time went on I kind of you know leaned back from using those you know I don't know it was just something wasn't clicking for me anymore I started editing my photos after the fact with another program but I think these are going to help keep me in the native a bit I always use like the native filters on like one or two like very slight like maybe like 10% of the photo like I like to do the pop with like Vibrance and sometimes like the warm or whatever and then go into Lightroom but yeah those are like Lightroom things that like like you said it could be implemented very easily because they have the tech to do it so mhm do you guys edit all your photos on other apps I I go right from honestly most of the time I just go right from the camera and I don't care like like I'm you know what it is I my I only have so much bandwidth so I'm like I pour it all into like my YouTube videos and then you know yeah I'll sometimes put videos on like social but I'm like just I know what I'm where my limit is and then I'm like I'm not I I how about this I haven't posted stylistic product shots on my Instagram as much because I kind of although it's counterintuitive I still make it more about of like users yeah it's like oh this is just me like people can take it or leave it you know but but other like for some of you like it really is part of your like I don't want to say this because it sounds silly but not part of your brand but it is part of like you know what you are showing off to people and when the product matters and those pictures matter absolutely but you know maybe in like six months you'll be like Brian I can tell that you're color correcting your pictures now you know what I I this iPhone 16 might be like a little bit out of it but like we are talking about all this and I'm excited to see that a lot of this camera stuff went onto the six like the 16 Absolut feels so much more solid as a camera it doesn't more so feel like the leftover parts of the 15 Pro it's more than that now so and what you saying that I feel the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are the exact same this time right yes so you're really just picking the size which is I'm so happy about that I love that which one would you lean into now now that you have the option look at how skinny my pants are I'm still going 16 Pro what Pro he's Pro he's been a prom Max battery life ever sold wait what what are you are you I'm on Promax now probably stay Pro Max oh you like now meaning you recently kind of graduated to Promax like since last year I'm on the pro Max as well but I was on the pro and I've even tried you know the mini when that you know was the thing so but so far I like the pro Max let's just hope it lives up to that 13 Pro Max battery life m well better right yeah that's that's that's kind of like The Benchmark quite honestly from from overall in the past um I think what was interesting what you said crystal is about the iPhone 16 because they you know they have action button and camera control yes right okay so this is it basically has all the features it even it's not the same mic system and I do want to talk about the whole um that new audio engine and audio editing that the demos they showed us were were were mindblowing but so they they still have that spatial audio recording on a iPhone 16 it's not using the same level of pro level mics but that is also still there and for like 90% of people they're going to be like that is that is more than Apple so you know you you got to argue there's a lot of value with the 16 this year um when you look at for iPhone users that are 16 versus 16 Pro and that really want to get creative like yeah if my kid wants a if I don't have any kids but if they wanted an iPhone Pro I'm like the 16 is going to be really good for you it's more than I mean I was shocked that we saw the camera control come to the 16 yes CU it that feels very much like a pro feature you're toggling through pro pro like settings you know so being able to see that there I was just like oh there it blurs the lines a little bit but not too much where it's like a pro doesn't need the pro anymore but it is nice that now the 16 doesn't make such or folks who are buying the regular models are not making a huge compromise like they're getting that action button they're getting the camera control and I feel like apple could have easily said AC we gave you the action button right you don't need camera exactly and like and look they could have probably priced it exactly the same with just the action button and no one would have flinched no right right so and it could have been one of those things that make the pro like differentiates the pro even more yeah but seeing that they decided to foro that and just like yeah know last year there was more of a gap for sure yeah we have A8 on the 16 like there's it's just it's I feel that's strategic though yeah well of course you know we need the a18 for Apple intelligence right but next year we're now we're at a stage where it's a18 a18 Pro next year 9 a19 a19 Pro it just makes it a lot easier to keep track of like the chips and everything rather than having it all over the place so they did that for us yeah and themselves too I'm sure yeah Crystal any other thoughts about like uh features or things the keynote cuz after we go a few more I'm going to shift on maybe things that we were kind of let down by and we all talked about airpods and Max but yeah yeah I'm I want to Audio Mixing Feature highlight that like audio mix again audio mixing because I I was truly Blown Away by that and a lot of the times when I'm like filming things I the amount of times that I forgotten like a lab or external mic so many times and I'm like it does a great job but now now it's even better they uh like gave the example of like in an interview situation where like you know you have the phone up and like the interviewer and the interviewee can be heard like all that stuff makes it so much easier for you know creators I guess so they the demo they showed uh with a group I was they put us in a trash Corner that had ridiculous Echo and you know you when you see it on a keyot you're like oh how well does this work yeah and this is part of what we have to Showcase to you all eventually but you know when they then find tuna to just really focus in on those voice I'm like what it feels like you weren't even in this like in a completely different location um it was it was really damn impressive so I was like ooh it made me rethink uh how I could shoot stuff in noisy environments and I think it's about us trusting it right yeah like you take it to that one shoot where you're like okay I'm not going to use the love and do you trust it and that's what it's going to take for like just kind of like how now these days a lot of us just shoot on iPhone on the show on the floor because it's quick it's easy and the audience is like right right I took a step to uh yesterday cuz usually I bring my Sony camera um my big tripod and all of that but I'm like you know I think I can be efficient on my iPhone ab and I shot the whole event on my iPhone and a little bit on my DJI pocket but my iPhone and I looked at some of the footage it looks good you know of course but uh I'm just leaning more more and heavily into iPhone videography and photography like I'm going still use my other cameras but like especially when I'm out and about it's just so easy to pull that out and like start recording you know for this stuff for this environment like shooting like in the main show for like it's just so so much more convenient yes okay how many how many times did someone body you The Chaos Of The Product Area on the on on on the floor yesterday say body body like like yeah it was a lot of right I mean it's it's a zoo down there on insane it was a little more chaotic this time I don't know if there were more bodies there I think there were more people I do too I don't know for sure but it felt like it yeah I I was just talk I was talking to Crystal about it like we need to just petition to have another spot like like like like a Creator preference spot or something yeah this is the official petition right now right here it is it's making it thing okay we'll go off get off this in a second but just because this is like inside baseball us covering the event it's so fresh the thing that is kind of a little crazy to me that I hope they get under wraps is people running oh running to the tables at full speed with no regard for human life like it's D it's ridiculous that we're grow we're grownups I'm okay with speed walking yeah I'm not okay with full on or even when you're filming or you're like yeah you're filming and then someone will tap you and be like hey can I get that for three minutes and you just started your demo and it's like you know if you give it to him did I do that to you no no no no we disclosed together before all three at the same but it was like someone random you know they'll come up and ask that or it was 30 seconds but I know you know it's not going to be 30 seconds stuff like that you know got they turn around they've got a cameraman and a light and like so this is the new they just go through the whole through the whole just just to tell you all at home like these are things we go through to bring you the finest videos in the land yes that quick coverage okay okay uh Jenner what maybe we talked about pods Max where there are things that you kind of like e or maybe didn't hit or you know just those Spectrum or whatever your thoughts are I know a lot of people are always expecting like a redesign you Does Having The Same iPhone Design Matter? know um I don't think the iPhone needs a redesign right now I think it's in a really good place and I know that is going to just translate to boring for a lot of folks you know like oh it's the same phone no matter how many things you change on the inside no matter how much faster it is I think the general con not General consensus but like I think majority of people on the outside are just going to see it as like it's the same phone I don't care if it can do so much more it looks the same so it is the same so I think there might be some disappointment in in in that aspect for a lot of people but one thing we didn't talk about is that they did change the design for the pros they've got bigger screens you know smaller bezels they're overall larger yes yeah um I'm kind of cool with that I'm interested in seeing though I'm a pro Max user mhm and I'm interested in seeing what that experience is like with a case on cuz you got a larger phone throw a case on there cuz I'm not I'm protecting my phone I'm not he's not naked phone not not I learned my lesson cuz I'm under this is cracked so I still oh you tried you went you went nak like oh I always do that us yeah mine is caseless but I need a screen protector I learned my lesson on that part on that part I don't know if I hit the mic well you know what I want to piggy back I want to piggyback on what you said about um the design being the same because I think a myth that Apple did at the keynote is you know how iPhone 16/16 Pro Battery Life obsessive people are about battery life yes right now they talked about how this new design there's new cooling features like um you know using this graphite cooling tunnel and things like that okay don't don't don't you know people are going be like Brian it actually isn't that you know but you know optimizing the software and Hardware dude Apple should have posted the battery Improvement numbers at the keynote I I looked it up on the specs on the website cuz I wasn't sure if there were any the 16 Pro Max gets 4 hours more battery compared to last year and the 16 Pro gets 4 hours more that's a big jump that is so here's the I get that I I I see both sides I see both sides a little bit it sometimes it's like a little frustrating when you don't know how much better the battery is or where the battery is going to be compared to previous generations but we've seen like we've seen this before before we've seen we've gone from the 12 to the 13 Pro Max right massive improvements in battery there but did we see that with the 14 did we see that with the 15 I'm sure they don't want to dig themselves into a hole where if they say listen you're getting 12 20% better battery life here next year they got to talk about it it's 5% better or it's the same I mean I see what you're saying I think that it can change but if they're trying to sell more phones yeah right which is right right that letting those numbers and again everyone's use like look the way that all four of us use our phones are already amongst us different amongst our so right we'll get fairly different results versus someone else but I just felt like a 4H hour difference is worth telling people about you know just to have that number be be like but it's also very subjective it is it's so very it's better than how about this better than putting out the battery capacity you know the milliamp hours of the battery it's a little more real world grounded do you think that trans it's better to the average consumer than than best battery life ever on an iPhone um I love it uh I don't know actually you know what I don't no no you're you make you you make a point for the average consumer you make a point about that yeah it's interesting point if my dad were to go into the Apple Store and they're like listen dude this thing think 12% 15% better battery life is that going to be better than just saying like best battery life we've ever had I'd rather hear hours instead of percentage but that that's that's the hard part it is hard it is it is hard either way yeah but to your point like we know that Apple caters to a general audience so I agree with you I I agree with you it just is like damn you you just we want those numbers where where the techniques we want those numbers yeah yeah I didn't realize so I said how much like obviously battery life matters but it truly is like the first question that people ask I that's what I'm saying it's the number one thing when someone complains about the design hasn't changed dude if you're getting four more hours of battery life I'm not going to complain about that and we know that Apple's numbers are conservative typically when it comes to battery life okay so if this do you remember what I mean it sounds so random but do you remember with the 13 Pro Max what the battery hours were pitched like you know I know we talk about it being the best battery was it over 30 hours if if off the top of your head do you remember I don't remember yeah I'm just curious I guess we have to look it up someone can look it up and like that's watching I just remember being able to get like8 hours of real screen on time like actual usage like game I game a lot on my phone games camera all of that eight hours that for me is unheard of uh and was able to do that so yeah I don't know um how do we feel about these phones just not getting thicker like obviously battery life is like number one to every I think another I like let's say next year nothing changes from with the iPhone but they made it 20% thicker and like gave us Monument like they just use all of that for battery like like epic battery yeah do you know how much that would sell I I wouldn't that I think that'd be kind of crazy but like how do we feel about not they're not being a massive focus on on on that on the battery aspect of it yeah I mean I I feel like I typically we we're used to it I mean I don't know how how about you all and you can chime in what what do you what's your normal B I typically get around to like 5 or 6 p.m. and I'm I'm pretty good but how how about you like when do you have to typically recharge your battery or you or you get the you get the fear you see 20% you're like okay I got to plug this thing in I like to charge around like 50 or 40 but you know I noticed for me it's probably around the same time with just regular use but when I'm filming of course yeah it's totally different you know yeah days like yesterday right I had the battery pack on you got to yeah I feel like I'm I easily pretty much make it through the day right right that's cuz like a lot of times like the stuff that I do on my phone I'm also doing my you know iPad MacBook like it's it's a pretty like evenly distributed day but days like yesterday for sure will so we're good with just a single day get get me through the work day school day and I I would use that Mega Battery phone like I'm not ruling that out sign me up here's the other weird thing about like if you flip the coin about what you're talking about okay so they got this Mega Battery now they know Is It The Right Time To Go iPhone Slim? that with the current model is optimized to let's say like you know some of the best battery life they've had and there's Rumblings of a thinner phone so let's say it almost takes a step back but is thinner and sleeker and sexier so for example let's say we gained four hours right this year now all of us have been used to the battery life that has been in like the 15 Pro phone and we've been probably I would say for the most part we're happy with we're like oh we're okay with it generally generally so now okay they boost up the battery life for this year what if you know designs move the market new change in designs move the market if there is something like instead of an opposite of a Max battery like a thinner phone that gets us basically the same battery but looks really sleek and sexy and comes in really sleek and sexy colors and can do everything that we as creators want to do I might be buying that phone yeah I I think it depends on of course the market but it's then designed over battery you know so it just varies which one's more important to you so if people are really looking for the visual design that's probably going to be the when in fax it there but I don't know I I don't know which one I would lean into now that you say that for a thinner you know visually different phone we've had the same arguably phone visually for four years four or five years AR and that's okay I'm not saying it's wrong but people like people like they like to see something right they want to know the phone is out like that's the phone you can make the best phone in the world and if it looks the same as four or five years ago people someone people like but it's still the same phone yeah yeah I mean they're saying it now yeah where you at with that Crystal yeah yeah it's a hard one I I do like I'm such a design person yes so I I feel like I lean that way but like it's cool to be efficient too so it's so you guys are just telling me I play too many games on my phone I shouldn't be draining my batter keep that battery pack we shouldn't all be the same you know you know um okay so we have we're we don't we have a little bit of time left um I think I'll open this one up mhm h no it's it's nothing big um if you had to pick one of the products to walk away with and actually H I'm going to remove because everyone it's easy to say the iPhone so of of the other products that were announced let's say Ultra I uh Apple Watch series 10 we didn't really talk about that airpods 4 airpods Max which one are you taking home I can tell you now the new Apple watch series did Apple Watch Series 10 yeah cuz I have I think mine is I don't know it's older it's like five or it's older and I have not upgraded it in a while and then I saw the series 10 and the gold and it just spoke to me so I've already ordered it you know I love gold so it's it's already ordered and uh on the way there you go yeah there's slight redesign too yeah it's thinner a speaker so you can hear audio through it so for me especially coming from the watch that I had previously I noticed a lot of changes that polish titanium is nice it is it is it is the gold is just what what would you do I I'm going to do both I'm a Ultra user and I've been rocking it yeah for for a bit now and it's nice but like I used to do the thing where I interchange my watches like I I loved the ceramic watch so much I was like still using the white one yes oh my gosh one day one day right one day please bring that back but um I feel like the the series 10 is like so clean it's like you said thinner the bigger display it just looks really good and I tried it on yesterday I was just like wow this is I need this as my everyday and I'm going to keep this for like the hikes and stuff and you know or whenever I'm feeling a little more sporty I guess that's fair that's fair especially now I think one of the big things about the ultra was the big screen right and now the 10 has a bigger screen and you might give a little bit on battery life but it's it it's such a goodlook watch that you can now use it more as a fashion piece so when you want to just do something sporty maybe you need the extra battery life you could bust out your Ultra but I feel like an a better all-arounder might be we might be looking at the 10 now yeah the other thing that's really interesting is I think it's people can't feel it out in person but the thinness matters does the thinness actually makes a difference even like things like putting on cool jackets or like it it it comes into play and then I thought what was uh an interesting small detail is that I believe they said you could no I'm I'm going to get this wrong was there like something like a quick charge like you you charge it for like eight minutes to get eight hours of before you go to sleep or something like that 30 minutes is 80% yeah that's there's the 30 minutes for 80% juice but there was another smaller number about like a quick charge before you sleep to get you through the night oh yeah it's usually what is it usually like 10 minutes or so but it'll get you it'll get you enough to go through it toight correct correct correct so there was another thing like that and I think a lot of people have one of the complaints or criticisms been like oh I don't like taking it off the charger and pl charging it for 30 minutes just to get sleep but that's been really that kind of barrier has been reduced with this so um and the fact that what even though physically the ultra is a 49 mm case the 10 is a 46 mm case with a slightly bigger screen so it's like oo MH it and it just just looks really nice and flatter and bigger yeah I I got to agree though if there were like one product apart from the iPhone series 10 as well sure I think I'd go with the black Ultra Apple Watch Ultra 2 - Satin Black too do do you have an ultra at all yeah that's what I that's what I use if if like that's the Apple watch I use the ultra um the the screen size and Battery that's that's everything see that's that's where I was leaning with the iPhone just make it thicker you know give me a better uh a better battery are you gaming on your I just like being able to go two days without having to like throw it back on the charger I have to baby at every night yes that is really nice so just taking that little right fear out it's nice I found I found what was weird is with the my the original Apple watch Ultra I never got a two because I didn't feel the need to the more outdoorsy things I would do with it and different things it kind of create this weird emotional connection that I see that watch differently than I do like the daily watch and that sounds like already like wait you have you just have two watches just put on when you can but let's be real a lot of people have older this is a series 7 I think right this is like a series seven and so um the Apple watch Ultra something about you know like surfing with it or scuba diving with it or snorkeling I'm like man this is my outdoor watch and it does make me feel more outdoorsy and so um but I'm not going to get it uh the the black one is nice but I just you mentioned snorkeling did they say you snorkel with the series 10 now or like yes it the depth it goes down to 20 ft so that's within snorkeling most people are not diving down more than 20 snorkling it's like they're more like around 10 or 12 feet um so yeah that yeah that's nice so we're all going to go snorkel trip let's do it I think so Hawaii I mean maybe Apple can hold an event out there I don't know I don't know um you got tell us yours yes right oh so this is weird I mean I I mean I'm on board but if I had to be a little different uh I think the airpods fourth generation because of their price1 179 oh yeah because of their noise cancelling noise cancelling on an opene earbud and then all the H2 benefits that we're experiencing airpods Pro that's and I I know how many people different they're different they are they are different like the look you mean no the chips oh yeah you mean inside yeah between the airpods pro yes yes yes yes um but what I you know even the noise cancelling they said is like two times more than the airpods pro too but when I listen to them they still have really good noise cancelling right and so I just feel like those airpods four generation there's plenty of people that just don't like putting a silicon tip in their ear and when you're in a plane you feel that you really do feel that pressure and not to feel that pressure if I had to pick one and knowing that I have a a watch right now that I enjoy and if I had to pick one and like that's the only upgrade you could make I might I I'd lean towards airpods fourth generation right now see I'm a hater cuz they they don't stay in my ears I can't But His Ears! use I look at how big his ears are guys seriously have you tried on the new ones yet I have and they like I could get them in there right like but give me a you see no shade let me give let me give you guys a little ear ear lesson over here okay so this part of the ear if it slopes downward like mine does it won't hold a thing all right Brian's got these perfect airpod ear so they'll sit right in the crevit I hope we zoom in I'm going to zoom in on this on the video sit right in the crevit and they won't stay in mine they'll stay in yours so I'm a little bit of a hater okay but so then airpods Pro because they got the Silicon tip they go I can I can use those okay okay you can hate all you want but thanks for the ear thanks for the ear compliment I I do appreciate it um before we wrap up is any any other final thoughts that you just really need to get out into the world subscribe to your average consumer now
