The Buffalo Bills Could CHANGE EVERYTHING...

Intro Brandon auk has officially requested a trade and the Buffalo Bills could do the craziest thing by making a blockbuster trade to bring him in just weeks after letting go what they thought would be their Cornerstone wide receiver and Stefon dick wide receiver Brandon auk has requested a trade auk skipped the 49ers offseason program and their mandatory mini camp over his desire for a new contract as he enters the final year of his rookie deal that pretty much sums it up the trade request after unsuccessful attempts to reach a new deal with the ners the 20201 round pick now he is set to earn just over 14 million this season so Brandon iuk has Brandon Aiyuk had quite the offseason so far going all the way back to the beginning of it when he unfollowed the 49ers on social media for a while it didn't seem like anything would actually happen from it but now the opportunity is there to make a trade for the Buffalo Bills and to me this is an obvious fit and the bills need to do everything in their power to try to make it happen it would require some salary cap magic but for now it's a fun thing to dream of and talk about auk established himself as a top tier wide receiver one last season exceeding the 1,000 receiving yard Mark for the second year in a row totaling 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns on 75 receptions over 16 regular season appearances auk's 17.9 yards per catch average ranked second overall amongst NFL leaders in 2023 with the Bills roster currently missing a clear-cut number one guy in front of Allen the thought of auk joining a Josh Allen Le offense is unavoidable can it actually happen though well Buffalo has enough draft Capital to offer us trade compensation they created future salary cap space by dumping dicks and although that may enable the bills to give auk the pay raise he is seeking the team is reportedly down to approximately 10 million in cap space for the 2024 season while the 49ers receiver is set to earn 14.1 million and the 49ers themselves still don't seem to have the intentions of trading this guy but it will be interesting to see how everything unfolds because even if nothing happens this offseason there sure will be some speculation about what happens next if he truly does want out which seems to be the case so let's talk about what auk's fit would be on the Buffalo offense because we all know what happened with Diggs and how he just wasn't the fit everyone thought he could have been but auk is younger and could just bring a whole different Dynamic to this team he's a creative crafty runner in the open field who really excels in field vision and we all know about his explosive speed when the ball Gets In His Hands I just think he could really open up this Buffalo offense and would be a great player for all the young Talent they have to play behind and learn from and with Josh Allen still being dead in his prime you really don't want to go a season without a number one receiver for him to throw to but if that's the case I don't think the bills Howard Simon are totally screwed because I do actually like the young Talent they have on this team which I'm going to talk about later but I definitely don't think with this current team that you can expect big things from the bills this upcoming season without auk but honestly I see the vision and the future of the front office is building towards and they did what so many teams don't do and getting rid of a guy like Diggs to sort of rebuild with young Talent even with Josh Allen still under Center many teams would settle with being a first or second round exit just to keep their star Talent when it's clear it isn't working according to Bill's Insider Howard Simon when the bills showed up to training camp the last 3 years I was convinced they were good enough to win the Super Bowl I don't have that same feeling right now heading into the 2024 season there were just too many key player losses this off season which has left me with a number of questions and concerns but this doesn't mean the bills can't win the Super Bowl this season as long as Josh Allen is their quarterback anything is possible here is what I think of the on paper version of the bills this year they are a playoff team no question about that I still think they are the team to be in the AFC East but they won't walk to the title like they did in 2021 and 22 so basically Howard's just saying that you shouldn't expect anything out of this team so don't be disappointed if they have a bad season but they still have one of the top players in the game under Center who has almost no ceiling and can take this team pretty much anywhere and we can make assumptions about who's going where what the bills can trade for all this stuff but let's actually look at what they currently do have because like I said they might not have the most recognizable names in the game a more casual fan but it's not like they don't have capable skill position players so the first guy I want to talk about that is listed as the number one wide receiver on the depth chart is khil Shaker the Boise State Al in 2023 he put up 611 yards and two touchdowns and this season he is obviously expected to break out onto the scene and do some damage he's a guy that plays with toughness he's a good route Runner who can operate from the slot and outside he consistently gets his depth and understands how to use leverage to win he's very dangerous on screens and underneath throws with his burst and can be productive on designed runs like jet sweeps then there's Chase Claypool who is a very recognizable name but many analysts don't expect much out of him this season as his career has just gone in a downward spiral ever since departing from Pittsburgh but if he is going to revamp his career this is the perfect opportunity to do so to reprove himself as a starting receiver in this Keon Coleman league other receivers down the depth chart I want to mention are Keon Coleman and Curtis Samuel Coleman has the chance to be a monster on the perimeter when the bills drafted him they had replacing Stefon digs on their mind the 6'4 machine is a big bodied receiver who has shown the ability to win on contested catches and has already caught the attention of former Nfl safety Lewis rck he's a monster on the perimeter said rck I think this will be a 12 Personnel Centric type of offense you will see these two tight ends dton Kade and Dawson Knox featured and you will see Keon Coleman going up and high pointing the football down the field on the regular in 2023 Coleman led the Atlantic Coast Conference with 11 touchdown receptions in 12 games he was also the acc's top punt returner as for Curtis Samuel the former Buckeye has been a consistent receiver throughout his young NFL career but he hasn't really been the guy that many thought he could be upon entering the league Bill's offensive coordinator Joe Brady recently said that he's hoping for a little bit of everything from this guy in 2024 he said that his versatility will be an asset Samuel posted 1,51 scrimmage yards with the Carolina Panthers and was bound for free agency where he found a new lucrative deal with Washington however he has yet to ReDiscover his 2020 form but there's reason to believe that he could as a member of the Buffalo Bills now to move on to the running back room the bills will be led by James Cook and Ray Davis it's pretty weird not seeing single Terry on the roster anymore but times have changed and honestly I feel like one area of the bills that we could see change this season is their rushing attack I really do feel like they are going to try to run the ball way more early on in the season than ever before now to move over to the defensive side of things I just want to talk about what players I could see having a breakout season so starting off I have Christian Breakout Players Benford a corner taken in the sixth round of the 2022 draft he was a surprised contributor his rookie season earning a starting role out of camp but multiple injuries derailed a promising year one campaign but Benford came out stronger in his second season solidifying himself as one of the top cornerbacks on Buffalo's roster Benford started 14 games in 2023 where he racked up 54 tackles 10 passes defended and two interceptions he allowed just two touchdown passes in coverage and PFF ranked Benford as the ninth best corner from the 23 season while his emergence has been seen up close by Bill's fans his rise is perhaps underrated when looked at through a national lens among pff's top nine graded corners for 2023 Benford was just one of three players in that group to not have an all proo or Pro Bowl selection Buffalo's coaching staff and fellow quarterbacks have all spoken highly of benford's mental approach and work ethic that's my guy I like the way he comes to work every day rul Douglas set of Benford he plays hard he practices hard and he talks to you and lets you know what he sees from his perspective and what you see and you just kind of bounce ideas off each each other anyways the next guy is the safety and Taylor WAP with two of Buffalo's Cornerstone defensive players Micah Hyde and Jordan puyer departing in the offseason it's time for the next generation of Bill safeties to make an impact rap signed with the bills in free agency prior to the season on a one-year deal while only making four starts with puyer and Hyde as the team's main safety Duo reps saw the field in 16 regular season games as a rotational piece he was particularly effective when the bills deployed dime coverage a package where puyer hide and rap all shared the field rap record 50 tackles on the year and had the game inning interception in week 18 against the Miami Dolphins to help the bill secure the AFC East title his growth over the course of the season and his instinctual style of play made it easy for the bills to want him back and rap signed a three-year contract at this point Taylor's really stepped into that role and I would say asserted himself from a leadership standpoint and a communicator standpoint head coach Sean mcdermit said which is huge in that back end where next to him who is it going to be the bills also added Mike Edwards and D delanian free agency along with Co Bishop in the draft to shore up their safety room rles still have to earn his starting role during training camp but his knowledge of buffalo's defense and his leadership skills make him a candidate to contribute in a big way in 2024 so yeah it's definitely going to be
