Michael Keaton is back in Action as Beetlejuice in the new film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice where we see three generations of the Deets family return home all while Lydia's life is turned upside down after her daughter accidentally opens a portal to the afterlife I caught up with some of the cast members take a [Music] look Mr T T Me banana [Music] daylight the juice is loose I was surprised at how emotional I got watching that first trailer drop with the Deo song yeah did you have moments of feeling Nostalgia during this whole process or moments that you were surprised of your emotions I think when I saw the movie I got a little nostalgic but as we were making it no it was it was eerily familiar yeah what do you love about being in that mindset of Beetle Juice just freedom to just be and create and just do anything I feel like doing basically well we got to talk about Katherine O'Hara our Canadian best she's the best you just you know I mean I like Justin trau enough but I would I would vote for her in a heartbeat right here right now Katherine aara as our prime minister 100% your vote yeah look you'd have a lot of laughs at least oh the country would fall apart I just interviewed Michael Keaton he said he loves you so much that he thinks you should run for prime minister of Canada I'm being dead serious okay then he should run for president of the United States I love that so he's actually everything I kind of wanted him to be interviewing him so how would you describe like that energy of him when you're on set of a film like Beetlejuice you could really see him in Beetlejuice yeah and I find Beetlejuice kind of sexy there's something about his blind confidence in himself the delusional confidence just a SW yeah he really is it's just like you cannot put him down and and Michael's just Michael's got Swagger yeah you know and funny he's really funny and funny men are sexy Charming yeah I love that now do you find MJ juice sexy um I think maybe if you get his hair a little bit maybe let like trim slick it back a little I think there could be something yeah give him a shower or two oh he's kind of similar to Beetlejuice no he's got a similar I'll tell you what Michael Keaton has Michael Keaton has energy all day long he has energy and I want to know where he gets it and what he's drinking and I want to know his workout routine and all of it but yes how do I know that you're going to keep your word I swear on my dead mother Soul Bob you and the boy stand guard nobody gets through you have said that you and Tim did not want too many people too many eyes on this that you wanted this to be your vision why was that so important for you cuz that's almost how we made the first one you know there was nobody really paying attention what we were doing and CU you know there wasn't a ton of money invested and there was no Studio sweating it really it probably I don't even remember seeing an executive around I don't think they ever came but yeah we just wanted to say let's try to do it the way we did it the last time what has this been like for you I mean first of all scream Wednesday Beetlejuice I mean you are literally appearing in some of my favorite you know characters and movies of all time what's it been like joining the Beetlejuice family yeah I don't know how I got here honestly it's like no yeah I'm just so amazing I've just been so fortunate and lucky to become a part of these franchises that um were such a big part in like my older siblings lives and my parents lives and also mine um you know falling in love with movies and film and kind of figuring out my tastes and what I like and um I don't know why I've always kind of been drawn to horror there's something about it so I think something like this to um not only get the opportunity to work with him again just working with him in was incredible but Michael Catherine Monona um I just uh I've looked up to them for my entire life so the fact that I got to you know watch some work every day I felt like every time I was on set I was like wait hold on like you're here oh you're good you're good at this I just wanted to I just wanted to take it all in Tim said it was working with you on Wednesday that made him realize he had the idea for for this for Beetle Juice Beetle Juice yeah I didn't know that I didn't know that either yeah well what's hear when we were all together yesterday he said that oh I think I I think I threw it away yeah in room in a room right now with these people every once in a while just like aing um yeah that's I think that's him being nice that's very sweet of him think because he's been thinking about it forever but not you know not getting that thing that just pushed him forward until he worked with you I think Tim Burton is one of our treasured filmmakers and um this film is a return for him that I think it's sort of a scratch he's been trying to itch or itch he's been trying to scratch for a while and I think the joy that he brought to it is what's reflected in the final product as you can see I had a lot of fun interviewing the cast ble juice blej juice hits theaters on September 6th
