right all right moving on to the Packers uh gentleman TBD Packers safety position rookies Javon Bard and Evan Williams have been having a competitive Camp battle and both are performing well it'll be interesting to see who gets the most snaps next to Xavier mckin yeah it is interesting because Bard's a guy that can you know we just had the branch conversation not too long ago he could play the same styleall exactly right and Williams is a day three like he's he was a good player not spectacularly good rock Sol player and that's carried into training camp for him I was probably lower on Javon Bullard than you were maybe the rest of the public right you know I wasn't in love with his explosive ability he wasn't that explosive smart tacking football play exactly right and that's that's exactly where again you know I'm interested in see how this battle goes and certainly want to see where that goes definitely but I don't worry a little bit like my Lion's take I would say I don't worry about it I'm not like oh they're really voided of talent here right it's like like you just said Williams has got a chance there's no doubt about it and I know Boward going to be able to play football and come up and make tackles and do things like that that they missed with Darnell Savage when he was there so that that to me is not a big worry I will say the same thing about the Packers as I kind of said the lions like what is there to look at on their roster and really go uh their roster is phenomenal interior o line maybe I they had some problems with Center so far but this is me by the way like I'm trying to answer your question because it's not easy to answer it's not an easy question it's it's not I mean it's a really well put together other team I know people have been talking about oh they don't have a number one receiver they got four I would say they're four receivers in Reed dos Watson and Wicks I'd put up there with against any foreign football you don't have to have the Superstar number one to win the Super Bowl all right um the Kansas City Chiefs won the last two without a number one super uh Receiver right I mean there's a lot of that did the Eagles have a number one receiver when they beat the Patriots did the Patriots really have a ever have number one receiver when they were winning they had grank and Edelman but they weren't going to force feed it like oh we got to get him the ball everybody they ran an offense and you had to figure out hey Tom's going to go to the right place with this ball with our creative plays right the Broncos in two 20,000 2015 did they have a number one no neither did the Carolina Panthers they were playing in that Super Bowl I would or argue the 2012 Ravens didn't have a number one receiver the 2013 Seattle Seahawks I would say did not have a number one receiver commes that's committees Drew bre the9 Saints team there was no go one guy it was committee if they're good enough and the system's good enough right and then you have the quarterback to go with that you can make it work you don't need to have Randy Moss or Terrell Owens all right that would be my point so they have a great roster getting back to the point my other my one thing with them it's just Eric Stokes I mean Eric Stokes has a chance to be a star at corner he just can never stay healthy right he's got everything man if they can get him to be healthy for a full year with jier Alexander and you put those two out there and now you get the ability do not only is our D Li damn good but you know we can be a little aggressive blitzing and be crazy every now and then because we got two cover guys we trust that can kind of handle it if we take a chance that to me would put them over the top and going oh my gosh because I think their dline is very talented it's got depth I mean real depth like eight or 10 guys I at to go they can all play and be good football players so that would be my one spot anything else jump out to you about them I'll throw something at you with the wide receiver group cuz I agree it's absolutely a committee but what's stopping Jaden Reed from being the guy rookie season yeah almost 800 yards eight touchdowns he was the 50th overall pick in the draft right he was asked to do a lot of different things uh for Michigan State special teams and NBA a playmaker right probably played him on the outside too much right he feels like a guy that he's not the biggest guy he's fast not the fastest guy just the connection he has with Jordan love it feels like he could be the thousand yard guy out of that group I feel like he can be the Alon R Brown kind of where I just don't trust Watson to stay on the field to have the production that's and I mean I'm interested with Romeo dubs but Jaden Reed as a rookie showed maybe he can be the guy not 14400 yards a thousand not catching Slants and going 80 yards to the house but working the offense running routes tough as hell and enough speed where if you get over aggressive on on the short routes he can beat you deep right I'm with you he could be their go-to guy right and their number one but not the number one we perceive as like hey we just put him out of there and it's manto man we go to him every time maybe not that but that's where I do think if Christian Watson could say healthy he could be that guy but I mean every time he's about to get going something happens to that damn hamstring or leg every time to your Eric Stokes point just he's only played 12 games in the past two seasons so they need him and then one more on the Packers from Carl Phillips Packers ran Gary with a 15 plus sack season the Packers could really fly on defense with the upgrades they made in the offseason Super Bowl pending I I they're going to be a they're going to be I think a popular pick because of the depth you brought up and everybody thinks Jordan love is going to be a to quarterback and they're kind of like not the the obvious one so it's like they're kind of oh here's my I'm a genius it's the Packers right like when you can't pick the Chiefs through the Super Bowl and you don't want to pick the ners or the Lions that's where you Packers will be that team you're exactly right I I would agree with that and what I would say to anybody out there is like hey you know I said this to four the other day I mean you you go back and watch that divisional game against the 49ers you can't sit here and tell me that the 49ers were like more talented than Green Bay it was this even Green Bay is stacked they are a Super Bowl caliber roster it
