Now, police believe the victim and the suspect knew one another. Denise Middleton is live with the court documents and the new information they're revealing. Denise, police talked to a lot of witnesses and they got lucky in getting video. Yeah. You know, documents show that several of his friends spoke with investigators and told them she was supposed to meet them at a birthday party Saturday night, but never showed up and that her phone was placed on do not Disturb. 51 year old Bobby Singh Shah was seen leaving her apartment that same night. Police say a neighbor also heard loud thumping between 830 and 9 p.m. after checking her security system, detectives found footage of Pondy and Shah standing in front of her apartment door. Police say Shah had a pistol in his hand and repeatedly told her to open the door. She is heard asking, what are you going to do? That's when Shah pushed her inside and locked the door. Police believe she was shot and killed. A short time later, Shah was seen leaving with her purse, but her cell phone is still missing. Pandit was found lying in bed with multiple gunshot wounds. Two days later, after her apartment complex, the reserve received an anonymous call about a dead body. Shah was later arrested during a traffic stop on Wednesday. Now, police received a tip indicating that the two possibly knew each other after someone recognized Shah as a consistent patron at a restaurant where Pandit used to work. Her friends also told investigators that she had an issue with the stalker about a year ago, which is why she installed the camera at her front door. The 21 year old lived alone and was studying to become a nurse. Her energy go getter. Very intelligent, very beautiful person to be around with. And she's a hard worker, hard worker and college student and police say they also received a tip from a woman who said she met Shah through a sugar Daddy website in 2012 and recognized him immediately.
