linam and our Big Man Mark Jackson and there's a lot still going on a lot up in the air it does look like if this holds right now we there's still games to be finished the Bucks game hasn't finished yet the Knicks game has not finished yet those have big implications for who the Sixers might face and obviously who is going to be hosting whom as the play continue but right now it looks as though because the magic are winning that game the Sixers could host or should host that playing game 78 with the heat Jim you know it's it's always tough and you can always go back what about this what about that you to leave it to the last game of the season but it makes it that much more exciting and that's why we're talking about it on game 82 oh yeah it does and uh you're right we reflected on a couple of games you know when they were going down it's why it's so difficult when you're going down the stretch and yet you don't you want your fate in your hands but the fact of the matter is that's uh I'm going to say rarely the case you know other teams there's implications when teams are you're you're fighting for position with you know whether they win or lose and that's going to be the case today you can go back to that Clippers game where the ref came out and said yeah probably should have been a foul and maybe that could have been a win but you should have would have could have you can do nothing with that now you have to focus on it and the good news is they're playing some of the best basketball no Joel and beid tonight no problem you had a bunch of guys stepping up that has to feel good no matter where you end up in this playoff scenario mark it does Amy for us it it doesn't make a difference the way the way we've been playing because the way we've been playing has been excellent so where we fall on that that chart you know is IR relevant to us long as we come in healthy and ready to play I'm quite sure the other teams in the East don't feel that way though quite sure they're a little scratching the here like do we really want to be in this position to play the Phil up 76ers now with the health of Joel with this new stack lineup so it's going to be very interesting yeah such a deep bench as well and one of those bench players buddy heel with a big one in this one including three threes in the span of about 50 seconds here he is with Taran Hatcher all right buddy you guys needed to win here today to try to determine your fate as as best you could although I know you're relying on some other teams out there but to do it and to put a punctuation mark on this regular season like this in such dominant fashion how good did this one feel uh it feels good but uh let's going to compare for Wednesday for Miami and uh try to get it uh getting playoffs that's that's all that matters right now have you guys already tried to figure out in chat and talk to everybody about what the scores are right now or or have you just been locked in still we were looking at the scores you know it's kind of hard looking at the scores and trying to stay focused in the game but after we we be able to run away today look check the scores but uh we know we're not know you and I are having it back and forth about it um what does it mean to you to be able to come out every day be consistent be relied upon yeah I love playing you know I always say I can I can uh play Hur and not injured and uh I just want to go out there and give my all my teammates let's know that I got that back every night we uh 95% 75% I'm go and get my all what I got and finally this has felt like so many seasons in one I know you came Midway through with the number of players that have come in and come out and injuries and everything in between how do you feel as a team as you guys is heading out towards the postseason yeah I like I like us I like our challes you know uh as long as we have the big fell you know he he's a big part of what we got going on but uh you know it's like we got to prepare I think Nick does a great job preparing and uh we got Miami on Wednesday and uh take one game at a time and uh it's a one game tournament that's how we look at it buddy congratulations on the win thank you for the time thank you so the Sixers obviously buddy he'll talking about we're focus on what we can focus on and that is about winning they did that they've won eight in a row to close the season hearkens back to that year they won 16 in a row but they have a lot more to look forward to we're going to check in with Kate Scott and Al ababi and we're talking about the heat matchup because that's where it appears that the Sixers are going to play they're going to host the 78 right here inside the Wells Fargo Center the heat uh you know listen these are two teams that no one really wants to face but the Sixers at least get the home court advantage Kate your initial thoughts when you think about that matchup because if they win they're the seven seed and that obviously sets them up pretty nice nicely yeah I'm really excited Amy with where this team was a couple of months ago to just make it into the postseason I think that's what we need to remember and I think uh this is going to be yeah this is going to be tough at the right time like the Sixers have oh hi there again everybody anything can happen so I'm excited about this one obviously it would have been great to get out of the playin all together but they got as high as they could they're hosting the game win the game and and do your job yeah I just think that um as this will show you anything could happen in life um but the 76ers listen they are in the best situation they can be in they're in they are fully equipped right now to handle whatever's in front of them would we like to have avoided the playing game of course we would have we would like to have finished fifth or sixth so we could have that week off and Miami is a worry because whenever you play them you just don't know what you're going to get but again I like the fact that the Big Fellas back we've got other pieces back in the lineup as well I like our chances but ideally we would have like to have the week off yeah you don't want to have to sit here and rely on other teams or go back and say you know oh what about that game and this game and and the Bucks they're down 30 points I think that's the most surprising if they you know had won they could have secured themselves the two seed and you're thinking oh they have a lot to play for unfortunately that's just how the the cookie crumbles as they say and you guys you know you look even better now after the scoreboards lowered I have to say the lighting is just amazing but how great was that when was perfect when you're um when you're thinking about this matchup though and how it is with Jimmy Butler I mean it's a perfect scenario because you want to they say what iron sharpens iron these are two teams that have been fighting their way in fighting for each win down the stretch and now they're going to meet head-to-head I think that's a perfect scenario Kate I I think it is too Amy and I think you know there's so much history obviously between these two teams right saw him in the postseason a couple of years ago we all know Jimmy is a beloved sixer for a lot of folks a lot of folks wish that he was still here so there's great story lines as far as the NBA is concerned but I just flashed back to when we were down in South Beach a couple of weeks ago and I think this Sixers that was a big win for them that was a statement win and now it's time to make another one of those as we look ahead to the postseason it's going to be a fun one we will see you guys on Wednesday Wednesday it looks like we will have that game uh we're looking forward to it thanks so much it's going to be a great first round playoff series I'm going to go ahead and put them as the seven seed and we'll go ahead and uh keep that one going on that one men uh a six men and women for the game to help us out and we need all momentum we have cuz even though Joel is back even though we're in a hot win streak that's still Miami that's still Jimmy Butler that's still a spos yourled team so you know they're coming ready to play they going to have the oo and eyes with them they going to have the ex's across and they te's across as well and they coming here to battle we have to do our parts I mean that Heat team is is you know obviously very very consistent we know that very well coached that's the thing about them but I think people will say that right now Jim about the Sixers and I don't know that they would have said that in years past oh no no there's no doubt the Sixers have had uh I I feel they've been playing extremely good basketball really through that period where they had to survive and they did so in admirable fashion without Joel embiid and I think n Nick Nur heard him often say you know that we're looking at a lot of different scenarios that will benefit us down the line so I think there was a just take one thing like the play of Tyrese Maxi the way you had to rely on him in late game situations when Joelle wasn't there so there were a lot of pluses to that and I think that will come to fruition come play off time all right let's check in with Nick nurse after his teams win and I'm sure he'll be asked just a few questions about the playoffs fire away ni I guess just how much of a concern is Joel's need moving forward especially now that you yeah I mean listen he he did everything at practice yesterday um playing 85 somehow 8 I think it's 884 85 if you count the inseason tournament Championship let's count that it'd be 85 excuse it's a game we're all on 84 85 we goes stick together stick together time right stick together time all right here we go what's your mindset uh going into this game wday against M well um obviously um we've had some great battles with with them Tim right I think it's um always expect that versus them right um mindset is we want to keep playing well and got to put everything we can into it it's like um you know kind of the way we've been treating the last month of the year we've been we've been digging in and playing playing and playing our guys as whatever we have to and doing whatever we got to do to to win and we've we've got a good mindset I think and just take that into Wednesday besides bu besides buddy getting going are there things today that you were pleased with that you that you feel like could carry over to well I thought Tobias was excellent at both ends again um you know good decisions played hard physical guarded he was he was he was in a lot of those shot clock violation possessions where his guy was trying to take him one-on-one at the end of the and he just kept keeping in front of them and playing them physical and bottling them up um obviously teres had a you know good good game as well but I thought I know I know it's you guys look at this and this is a great example but our two vets Kyle and Nico don't score and both played excellent I thought Kyle moved a couple passes onto some shots there in the in the Run uh Nico really went in there and worked on um uh cam Thomas really did a good job on him um so give those guys credit too yep I know Joel was the big one obviously but given what de Anthony's gone through the last few months I guess is there any additional concern with him and how do you guys yeah I mean listen I we've kind of always had I've always had concern with him right I think it's a it's a tough uh deal it's kind of the second time we've gone through holding him out trying to treat him getting him to a place where he thinks he can play played a couple games and he went out again for a long stretch we bring him back he plays one game and he's out again I I just think it's it's very difficult I mean I think we're in the same situation they're going to continue to treat him try to get him better um hopefully this is a you know we're hoping for a long run here so there's still always time you know and and and as this goes to get him back and have him be a factor in this thing but um it is it is concerning yeah that sounds like you don't expect him to be available Wednesday or is that kind of yeah I I don't want to like say either way but I would I I would imagine that two things one he has he has a probably a bit of a journey to get there for Wednesday like some things got to go well and two he hasn't played much right so there's there's it's not time to be working guys back into the fold right um but as a series goes on if we fortunate enough to get into one and time goes on you never know right I know we were joking before the game about you know turning your phone off for 48 minutes or whatnot but did were you keeping track at all at halftime or thing or do you just just block it out and say I'll look at it after the game um listen I I I did look up at halftime on the scores on the thing but it didn't mean anything to me I I like didn't even know the half of the scenario so I just was I barely was was engaged in that but I wasn't completely unengaged either okay we spoke on the Anthony earlier how is Robert comington looking is there any possibility on a DF run no I don't think so he's he's this hasn't made enough progress we did get him on the court a couple
