BOY WANTED TO FIND A WAY TO REMEMBER THE LIVES THAT WERE LOST BORN 13 YEARS AFTER NINE, 11, ELIJAH TAYLOR, WHO ACCORDING TO HIS DAD TODD, IS VERY EMPATHETIC, WAS SADDENED BY ALL OF THE LIVES LOST THAT WERE LOST THAT DAY AND WAS CONFUSED AS TO WHY THE TWIN TOWERS WERE NEVER REBUILT AFTER A TOUGH EXPLANATION AS TO WHY ELIJAH DECIDED THAT HE WOULD TAKE THE MATTER INTO HIS OWN HANDS WITH THE HELP OF HIS DAD, HE BUILT A TRIBUTE OF THE TWIN TOWERS. THEY BROUGHT THEM INTO HIS SCHOOL, ROCKY POINT CHARTER AND SHARED THIS TRIBUTE WITH HIS WHOLE SCHOOL OF PEERS IN HOPES THEY TOO, WILL ALSO NEVER FORGET THE POWER OF OUR PARENTS IS AMAZING >>AND THAT, YOU KNOW, WHATEVER THEY WHATEVER THEY COME UP WITH AT HOME, WE ARE ALWAYS OPEN TO HAVING THEM SHARE THAT WITH US AT SCHOOL. IT'S A WONDERFUL PROJECT. AND THIS WASN'T AN ASSIGNMENT AT SCHOOL. THIS IS JUST SOMETHING THAT THEY DECIDED TO DO ON THEIR OWN. AND I KNOW THAT HIS FAMILY IS VERY PASSIONATE AND VERY PATRIOTIC, AND IT WAS JUST IT WAS PERFECT. >>ELIJAH GOT READY FOR HIS TV DEBUT WEARING A TIE OF THE TWIN TOWERS THAT HE CLAIMED SOMEBODY GAVE HIM THE SUPPLIES USED TO BUILD THE TRIBUTE WERE ORIGINALLY MEANT TO BE USED FOR A FORT. ALTHOUGH ELIJAH AND HIS DAD THOUGHT THEY COULD BE USED FOR SOMETHING A BIT MORE MEANINGFUL. I THINK IT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING THAT THE YOUNGER GENERATION ARE TAKING INTEREST IN IN THIS EVENT AND MAKING SURE THAT THEY ALSO NEVER FORGET, EVEN THOUGH THEY WEREN'T HERE FOR THE EVENT TO HAPPEN THEY'RE MAKING SURE THAT, YOU KNOW, THEY'RE TEACHING THEIR PEERS AND WHAT A PASSIONATE YOUNG BOY AT TEN, YOU KNOW, I WHEN I WAS TEN, I GREW UP ON THE EAST COAST. >>IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER WENT TO NEW YORK CITY, AND I WENT TO THE TWIN TOWERS. I REMEMBER MY DAD AND I GOING UP TO THE OBSERVATION DECK AND LOOKING DOWN AND LOOKING AT ALL HOW TINY EVERYBODY LOOKED, BUT I WAS HIS EXACT AGE, AND SO YEAH, THAT'S JUST INCREDIBLE. WHAT A GOOD THING HE DID. >>AND WE TALKED EARLIER ABOUT HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN BORN SINCE NINE OVER 11 HAPPENED. YEAH, IT'S BEEN OVER 100 MILLION PEOPLE. >>IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE. I MEAN, IT'S ALMOST 30% OF OUR COUNTRY'S POPULATION, GIVE OR TAKE THAT EITHER WEREN'T AROUND OR THEY WERE SUPER
