at Leeds United after an interview on television Brian then visited Leeds United base camp he was invited by the club directors to clarify his statement on television regarding Don R the leads United directors asked Brian not to bring personal matters into the club but Brian said that he did not want to be dictated to by the club management heu said he wanted to compete with Don rui and eras Don revy's name in the minds of lead supporters Ryan's strong sentiment towards Don rivy turned out to be based on 6 years ago precisely in 1968 at that time Brian was the coach of a second division club called Derby County and the assistant coach was Peter Taylor but at that time Derby County was still at the low rank of the league standings then at one point Derby had the opportunity to face Leeds United which at that time was ranked first in the first division of the England football league and was coached by Don Rie therefore Brian felt honored by the opponent which he was going to face he
