Good morning and a happy Sunday. The time now is 747 and all eyes are on the Gulf of Mexico. We've been watching this area of unorganized thunderstorms near the Bay of Campeche and we'll continue to over the next couple of days for formation potential. Right now. It's pretty high above the 70 percentile mark. So we could definitely see a name system in the next 48 to 72 hours and based off of steering patterns with a high pressure that's over the Gulf of Mexico. We're likely going to watch this move along the Mexico and Texas coastline and then continue up towards western Louisiana as we head into the middle of the week that could bring impacts for Southeast Louisiana on the system's eastern side. So of course, models are gonna have a hard time pinpointing exact track information on this until a center or circulation point develops. Here's the overall set up for our strong upper high in the gulf that's likely going to keep everything a little bit more westerly in terms of track information. But as far as local impacts, you can anticipate a rain maker just like we were dealing with last week, especially Thursday and Friday. So we're gonna have those outer bands wrapping inland more than likely and then also a southerly breeze anywhere from 15 to 20 miles an hour that allows for potential minor coastal flooding as a result of the water pushing further inland off of the coastline. Of course, we have not had as much activity this season as originally predicted. So the next name on the list is our f storm Francine and we'll continue with temperatures today. Absolutely gorgeous in the meantime. So I hope you can enjoy them. Maybe enjoy your first cup of coffee on the porch this morning, especially on the north shore of the Missippi Gulf Coast. Temperatures in the sixties. It's starting to feel like fall as we approach the peak of hurricane season in Metro New Orleans, we're about 10 degrees warmer. So you see that 65 degree range from mccomb close to the state line, the lakefront coming in at 75 Kenner 74. So lots of Saints fans getting up and ready to, of course, enjoy the first season home opener and with those temperatures, it's just making you think about fall. We welcome it officially on the 22nd, which is also not too far away, but meteorological fall began last weekend. So I'm sure everybody has started to enjoy the pumpkin spice and you can't ever get enough of these new P J's flavors today as you may be headed to the dome. Temperatures look fantastic. You cannot beat sunny and 71 to 75. And then as we get closer to kickoff, temperatures will climb towards the 80 degree mark. So you won't need the umbrella for anything more than second lining. Finally, it's so nice not to have to get it when you're getting out the car and running those errands. You can see lots of cloud cover around today and we'll have that northerly wind on the back side of the front that came through. But otherwise we're gonna start to see a few transitions on the coastline and we'll continue with some additional rain chances working their way back into the forecast for late Monday. But those more significant impacts from the Gulf will start to return Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and we'll start to feel humidity, of course, with that additional moisture as well. So enjoy all of this while it lasts, going to be beautiful again, not much of a rain chance today, but we'll see more of a 20% chance tomorrow night and then up to at least 50 or above for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Good news is, this looks to move through quickly. So by Friday, we're back down to a very low rain chance and then we'll head into the weekend with a pretty nice outlook as well. So other good news is the rain keeps us cooler and of course, we're approaching the middle of the month already, but temperatures don't look to exceed the upper eighties, which is a great thing, a beautiful forecast for game day. Hopefully, we get to top it off with a win.
